Fantastic experience: It was a very good experience being at Nampa smiles and getting my crown preparation down which was done in a very professional and good matter. My crown was placed yesterday and everything went as expected and I am very pleased with the results. Everyone, participates in a very professional manner and it’s a pleasure to be there.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Nampa Smiles for years now. The only reason; my hygienist. He was the only one on staff that treated me with a gentle hand. I was never really fond of the two doctors I had seen, but since it wasn't that often I stayed for my cleanings. Recently, I scheduled an appt due to some mouth pain that had been ongoing, but that had gotten worse in the last few weeks. I had two very inexperienced girls who were giggling and carrying on behind me try to get x-rays. They processed to poke and prod and stuff them in my mouth causing pain and discomfort where there was none. Then a third one came in because they couldn't get the shot. She was aggressively mean. She was scraping /pressing the film on the soft underside of my mouth very painfully, and then had it down my throat, actually gagging me. No surprise, she also couldn't get the x-ray and I made her stop. Then Dr Justin came in, She did a few tests on my two teeth that were bothering me, asked me a couple of questions then announced that my top tooth needed a crown. When I asked about my lower tooth, she pretty much dismissed it saying it was referred from my top tooth. she then said we still have to get that x-ray. I told her what happened and insisted on getting someone with experience to do it. The gal that came in...she barely put the film in my mouth, with a light hand and touch and low and behold, captured the image they needed. I got an estimate and was getting scheduled for next day. I decided to wait and schedule for a week later. In that time, based on my gut, I scheduled a second opinion elsewhere. The new doctor took the time to sit and ask me questions and said he was almost positive I didn't need a crown. He treated me conservatory and in 1 weeks time, I was 85% free of pain. With me continuing to do as he suggested, I have no doubt that I will be 100% in no time. I am done with Nampa Smiles. I feel like all they care about is money and not the comfort or well being of their patients at all. In all the years I have gone there, I have felt none of the welcoming experience that others have noted. And anytime I had to get an x-ray that was not my hygienist doing it, my experience was like the one I mentioned above.

Staff were all warm and friendly. Dentist was excellent (as I had learned previously), very professional from start to finish of a complete crown replacement, finished right all in a single day! Worth the 20 mile trip from Boise! This dentist, Dr. Kooyman is the best! Try him, you will be very pleased!

Fantastic experience: Sandy is my hygienist and she is fabulous! She is not judgemental about my bad flossing habits or drinking coffee. She does an outstanding job with the water and suction! I never feel like I am getting blasted by a garden hose. She always has the suction in the exact right place and is very attentive to when I need to close my mouth. On the rare occasion water does get outside my mouth, she makes sure to clean it delicately and quickly. Probably my favorite thing about Sandy is she is caring and asks about me, but never while she has her hands in my mouth. She is absolutely lovely! I'm nearly 50 and she's the best dental hygienist I've ever had.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Nampa Smiles for over 16 years. They are fantastic! Their office flow is streamlined and efficient. I was originally seeing Dr. Keller but have recently been seeing Dr. Humbert. They are both great! They explain the plan in detail and present options to do what needs to be done. The hygienists are professional, thorough, and gentle. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I came because I was having some tooth pain in my bottom front teeth and I had the pleasure of getting dr. Coyman. (I needed an adjustment polish) He listened to me and after we thought we were finished something still felt off so I had his assistant call him back and he immediately came back and fixed the issue for me. He was great and professional even though I felt like I was being a pain in the butt.. lol. Thank you Dr coyman! ☺️

Negative experience: I had a truly disappointing and painful experience at Nampa Smiles. After paying thousands of dollars for a crown and other dental work, the procedure was not done correctly. I experienced years of ongoing pain, inflammation, and infection as a result. Despite returning multiple times and clearly explaining my symptoms, they refused to take me seriously or take responsibility for the poor work. They offered no support, no warranty on their dental work, and no real care for me as a patient. I eventually saw another dentist who took the issue seriously. When they opened up the crown, they found significant decay and infection under it — something that never should have been allowed to progress if Nampa Smiles had done their job properly the first time. I would not recommend this office to anyone. They lacked both competence and compassion. Please don’t trust your dental health to them.

Negative experience: They do NOT accept medicare or MCNA coverage, google search for that and they came up first saying they do, so that needs to be corrected.

Fantastic experience: I've AVOIDED dentist offices due to BAD EXPERIENCES, with that I knew I was PAST DUE 4 CHECK UP. At lunch on a FRIDAY my back molar broke, ugh. My neice said she'd heard good things about this office, I DOUBTED I'D GET APPT, HOWEVER, much to my SUPRISE, when I explained my tooth&worried about pain over weekend they ABSOLUTELY made time for me that afternoon, fixed with temporary crown and on my way. Fantastic experience: I've always had a good experience at the downtown Nampa Smiles office. My hygienist Sarah does a great job being thorough and efficient. She also give me good education on products she recommends to help keep my teeth healthy. I'm also going through their office doing Promonitoring to straighten my teeth. The fact that a good majority of it is done through the app is handy, I don't have to make as many office visits.

I had a follow up appointment and was running a little late but still had time to see me. I’ve been early and was seen earlier which was extremely helpful. Recently I had a root canal preformed by Dr. Owens. It was a tough one, but he did a nice job being patient and thorough! I highly recommend Nampa Smiles!

Negative experience: I have gone to this dentist for over 30 years. My daughter went in today and had some work done. The clinic wouldn’t let her leave and forced her to put the payment on a credit card even though I called them and told them I could give them my HSA card number before the end of the day. Despite a perfect payment history and 30 years of loyalty as a customer, they couldn’t wait a few hours for their payment and made her pay with a credit card instead.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for an excellent Dental office, Nampa smiles is the place. The staff is super friendly and courteous. Sounds like my hygienist is very popular but even when he’s not available I’ve had a pleasant experience with other hygienist. You can tell there’s team work going on, they are all in the same page and when it comes to getting insurance estimates, they are right on it. The office personal are awesome as well. Can’t say enough about Nampa smiles, just come and live the experience!

Fantastic experience: Dr Olson is amazing person. He re did my root canal that another dentist did. Molar tooth has 4 roots, previous dentist only did 3 roots leaving the last root giving me a infection down the road. My experience was Pain free and he made sure I was okay during the whole process. Fantastic experience: There are good and bad in every profession. Well I had the great pleasure of meeting Dr. Ryan Olson. He did some major work on a couple teeth for me. I had visited 2 previous dentists for consultations. And both were a complete let down. One told me it would be malpractice to fix my tooth before a deep cleaning by one of his colleagues. The other told me that because of a previous root canal I wouldnt feel any pain and I should just let it rot out until it falls out and that it was UNFIXABLE. Unbelievable! Then I met with Dr. Ryan Olson. Not only did he rise to the occasion and was able to fix my tooth. He did a SUPER job. An Artist in his field. If he ever leaves Nampa Smiles I'm going with him. Best dentist I have ever met. Personable, Friendly, just a Super Guy. You will be in Professional hands if you use Dr. Ryan Olson. Also a shout out to Brandon Carter. The Dental Hygienist who did the deep cleaning on my teeth. A Super guy who did an Excellent job cleaning my teefus. I really liked him. A Super Professional at every level. THANK YOU!

Fantastic experience: Dr White at Nampa Smiles has been amazing! He has a way of keeping this severly anxious Momma calm. I had a root canal with crown procedure not long ago and was severly anxious about it (I’ve had not so good experiences in the past) but something about Dr White when he comes into the room just puts you at eaze. He listens to what you tell him. He really does make you feel like you’re being heard and you dont feel like your a bother with any concerns you have. He explains things very thoroughly.

Fantastic experience: I’ve got a terrible toothache and so I called to book an appointment, they booked me for the day after and took care of my tooth. I’m glad and grateful that they were able to deal with my tooth issue as soon as they did, highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Humbert and his full staff at Nampa Smiles are the best Dentist I have ever been too since moving to Idaho in 2018. I have had two veneers done by Dr. Humbert during Covid. He is a perfectionist! They turned out so beautiful! I’m going to have two more done on my upper Front teeth. Or have crowns done instead of veneers. Either way! I know Dr. Humbert will make me a very happy patient. With a beautiful smile! I just recently had a filling done. The procedure was done so fast and turned out amazing with no pain! And all the Hygienist are fantastic!! Best place for dentistry in Nampa!!

Fantastic experience: I’m 65, and I’ve been around and have had many different dentists. Nampa Smiles is the best office I’ve ever been to, and my dentist Dr Humbert is the best. You can’t go wrong with Nampa Smiles.i just came from another visit. I can’t say enough great things about my dentist and the office staff. I love them. Makes having to go not as bad. Can’t go wrong with Dr Humbert and staff.

Fantastic experience: Great experience from the front desk to the dental chair. Dentist visits aren’t easy for me from one bad experience a long time ago and these staff all help to make me feel comfortable. They do great work too. Thankful I found Dr. Yarbrough and this office.

Negative experience: I've been going to nampa smiles for 16+ years. My last two visits have been so upsetting -- I fear I may be looking for a new dentist. 6 months ago I waited 45 minutes for the provider exam and eventually had to leave. My schedule conflicts didn't allow my return until today. I have strong preference for the dentist I see and have now waited a year to see Dr. White. They don't inform me until I'm waiting for the exam that he is out. I have taken the day off of work, driven 30 minutes out of my way to be told this... The office manager calls and says that she's sorry I didn't realize he's out.... How am I supposed to have known he was out? I am self pay and have paid for 2 exams, 2 cleanings ,and X-rays. I've had 1 cleaning and useless x-rays and zero exams. I deal with so much dental anxiety that bringing myself to even go in for the appointment is emotionally draining. I fear I have cavities and won't have another Friday off until January (3 months from now). I am anxious about seeing another dentist after building rapport with White, but at this point I don't know if I can mentally afford going back to Nampa smiles.

Fantastic experience: Carter Brandon is one of the best dental hygienist I have had. Very competent and pays attention to what needs to be done for optimal dental health. The dental Doctor was also very informative as to what needs to be watched and future work that may need to be done.

Fantastic experience: I had a Crown put on today. This morning the Dr. prepped the tooth and put on a temporary while the 3D printer made the crown which was installed 2½ hours later. It fit perfect and I was out in about one half hour. They were quick and efficient. Thank you Nampa Smiles. David C.

Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff. They were abrupt, unaccommodating, and lacked any sense of understanding. As a single mother with limited access to childcare, it has been a couple of years since my last cleaning. When I explained my situation, the receptionist I spoke to was not only unhelpful but also seemed judgmental about how long it had been since my last appointment. She insisted I would need to go through a series of appointments and could not simply schedule a cleaning. She refused to offer any flexibility to combine visits, and in my position with a lack of childcare, I don't have the option to come in multiple times. The irony of her making it harder for me to access dental care, while judging me for not doing so earlier, was frustrating and disheartening. This lack of support makes it incredibly difficult for someone in my position to come in for professional dental care. I had previously established care with this office and had previous cleanings, procedures, Invisalign, X-rays, etc., so it's also not as if they didn't have previous dental history to go off of. This office apparently books out over 5 months in advance, and there was no effort to offer flexibility. VERY disappointing.

Fantastic experience: My family of 7 and I have been coming to Nampa Smiles for more than 10 years. We have always had excellent service. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Before coming to NampaSmiles I used to have anxiety about going to the dentist but because of the comfortable atmosphere and quality of care, I don't have it anymore. There is a nice game room for the kids with books and toys for the younger ones. There is also a nice quiet sitting area away from the play room. They have provided my family with excellent care and customer service for many years.

Negative experience: The front end staff are always very nice. I generally don’t have issues with Nampa Smiles, however. I had a crown done there 5 years ago I recently started to have pain in that tooth and was told I needed a root canal. The dentist drilled right through the crown to perform the root canal which I thought to be very strange, he then told me if the crown chips or cracks we would deal with it then. Also not a big fan of the dentist leaving me in the chair with a rubber dam blocking my airway while he goes across the isle to start drilling on someone else’s mouth. So basically I am about 14 hundred into this one tooth that they did a crown on, a root canal after the crown and if the crown cracks or chips due to being drilled into I will get the privilege of paying for another crown. But hey they keep getting my money so what’s the big deal. I am just one in hundreds, we are all just sheep with insurance and cash.

Fantastic experience: The office is nice and soothing. The staff that greets you is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, I highly recommend them. Sandy was my hygienist for my cleaning today and she was wonderful! I had some pretty bad plaque from years of not going to the dentist. She was not judgemental and was very gentle. It was a fantastic experience and I will request Sandy every time!
