Fantastic experience: Over the past two days, I’ve had to take two of my three children in for dental work with Dr. Brantley, and I can’t say enough great things about our experience. Both of his assistants, Megan and Joy, were absolutely phenomenal—so patient, kind, and comforting with my kids. Dr. Brantley himself is incredibly gentle and takes the time to make sure every patient feels completely at ease in the chair. Both of my children got through their appointments with no stress at all, which says everything about the care and atmosphere here. If you’re looking for an all-around wonderful place for your family’s dental needs, Wendell Family Dentistry is truly your go-to dental home.

Fantastic experience: This place has been a huge blessing! We moved to NC three and a half years ago and I started off at a much bigger dentist where I didn’t have a great experience. We recently switched here and I have had crowns done and slowly switching my whole family over. The dentists and hygienists are always so great! I came in today with all five of my kids and everyone was so kind and patient. They have a great space for children’s dentistry as well. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed

Fantastic experience: I enjoy going to the dentist! I know I am in the minority with this sentiment. Even after having major gum surgeries over the years, I still love going to the dentist. I have even fallen asleep in the dental chair from time to time. ❤️ I started going to the dentist in Wendell 27 years ago. Even when I moved to Raleigh, I continued driving to Wendell for my dental needs. My longtime dentist, Dr. Whitworth, retired last December after merging with Wendell Family Dentistry two years prior. I could have found a dentist in Raleigh, but decided to stay in Wendell. I post all of this information to say that I love Wendell Family Dentistry. They are so attentive to my needs. My dental hygienist, Leigh, is wonderful, personable, and has helped me to change my dental routine to make my teeth and gums even healthier. Dr. Brantley and Dr. Nguyen are great too. When I drive into the parking lot, I love seeing the reminder to SMILE! If you don’t have a dentist, I highly recommend Wendell Family Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: 10/10 Highly recommend. Fixed my son's cavity and mine with a water jet laser magical piece of awesomeness. It was super quick and painless. Everyone there is very friendly. Bonus- they have live fish in the waiting area. :-). Never getting my cavities fixed anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had to establish a new dental practice since we just moved to NC from SC. Everyone I called either weren't taking new patients, people without insurance, or had ridiculously long wait times to get in so we both could get appointments the same day as new patients. Someone recommended Wendell Family Practice and although we had to wait almost 7 months for appointments, it must have been meant to be and absolutely worth the wait. They are wonderful, the office is comfortable, people are very friendly and their equipment is state of the art (they even make their crowns on-site, SAME day). They suggest a treatment plan/what should be done including costs - there are no surprises and they ask your opinion. I ended up needing extensive dental work (age, crappy/soft teeth, previously "bad" work by dentists, etc). Needless to say, I have dental-phobia, anxiety, a low tolerance for pain, am a gagger, etc. - you name it, I have it. Dr. Nguyen and Cloe (sorry if I spelled your names wrong) were FABULOUS! They worked on my teeth for 4+ hours and accomplished what I thought was almost impossible - they saved my teeth and my faith in dentists. Highly recommend this practice and their staff! Thank you! Fantastic experience: Went in to have my teeth cleaned today with Aaliyah. She was great! I came to this practice when my dentist of 40 years joined Wendell Family Dentistry about a year ago. So glad I followed him! I am very happy and Wendell is lucky to have Wendell Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Wendell Family Dentistry is a very nice friendly group of professionals. Leigh was my hygienist today, she is very knowledgeable and showcased the latest technology. It was the shortest and best teeth cleaning experience I've ever had. The follow-up with Dr. Whitworth is always pleasant. In my 64 years of having dental care done WFD has been wonderful to work with and receive care.

Negative experience: If I could give them zero stars, I would. While the dentists are wonderful, this practice is deceitful and does not communicate appropriately about dental coverage and benefits. I was asked multiple times (by multiple people) about my insurance coverage prior to the appointment, which I provided and was given an estimate for treatment, which I signed and agreed to move forward. Upon receiving my EOB from insurance that I learned that they only covered less than half of what Wendell Family Dentistry told me I would have to pay. When I called Wendell Family it was THEN that I was told that the practice was out of network with my insurance company despite numerous opportunities beforehand to tell me. It is obvious that all they wanted was my money.

Fantastic experience: The staff and Dr. Whitworth take such good care of my 88-yo mother. They are efficient, patient and caring. She arrived today, not feeling her best, and the entire staff made her welcome and comforted. So thankful for Dr. Whitmore's dentistry team who treat patients with respect and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: 10/5 stars, they got me in on less than a days notice, I was in extreme pain due to and abcess tooth, we looked at options to save the tooth but they were bleak, instead we removed it and got me prepped for a dental implant in the future. I can't recommend this place enough, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the doctors are top tier! Thank you again Wendell family dentistry for helping me get some relief and a plan to fix my now missing tooth!

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Been active duty military for more then 10 years. This dentist was referred by our medical provider. They Said they accept tricare but when we go there they charge a co pay. But when you call they say they accept 100 percent tricare. The receptionist very rude and unprofessional. They will lie to you until you give in and pay the money.

Fantastic experience: I had a substitute hygienist today, and she did a terrific job, explaining everything as we went along. At the end of it all, she recommended I get an electric toothbrush to help with the gum line, as that could prevent some expensive and oh-so-fun work in the future. Extremely helpful.

It was so much different from past experiences When had one done years ago, the process is so much easier now you don’t have to wait two weeks for your crown to come in. Fantastic experience: I had initial concerns prior to my first ever appointment being the location was more remote or rural than I am used to. My concerns were completely unfounded and I feel so grateful to have uncovered a gem of a practice. They use state of the art equipment, offer the newest treatment solutions, and employ highly trained hygienists and well educated Dental professionals.
