Fantastic experience: Hands down best dentist (and dental office) ever! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are treated with respect and made to feel like you are a long time friend. Even staff members who didn't "see" you say hello and chat with you. As for the dentist, I saw Dr. James and I was blown away by his knowledge, his ability to explain the whys and the how, his humor, and his caring. Most importantly, the work he did on my teeth was incredible. I had to have a crown replaced on my back molar (my previous dentist didn't do as great a job as I thought) and the entire process from beginning to end was remarkable. For the first time in 2 years I have a bite that feels natural and is completely comfortable. Thank you, Dr. James and your staff!
Fantastic experience: Really had a very pleasant experience having my back upper molar set up for a crown. No discomfort at all. Not even with the novicane shot. Perfect fit with the temporary. Came back for front upper veneer. Dr. had lots of work to prep my front six teeth withe an existing incisor implant, but I felt virtually no discomfort during the 1.5 hour procedure. I am so happy with the outcome. I just turned sixty and I never wanted to open smile for pictures before, but I will now. Dr. Sam and surgical tech Agata are amazing.
Negative experience: If i could give 0 here i would. I had an appointment here. The front desk (old lady) said that they are fully booked and it will take a month to get an appointment. I ask if they accept my insurance which she said that they do. After almost a month of waiting I went and filled the papers needed for insurance. I was able to be seen and she told me that she doesn't know if they would accept my insurance!!!!!! I waited for a month! Please do not go here because the front desk does not know how to do her job!!!!!! Long story short I have not heard back from here if they still would accept my insurance. Would not recommend!

Fantastic experience: Long Grove Dental is absolutely the best dentist I've gone to. My kids and I all go here, and it's invariably a positive experience. Everyone is both nice and very good at their work. We've also done invisalign there, which is very easy. Highly recommend for anyone.

Fantastic experience: Dr James and Agatha were great. I’ve always hated the dentist bc my mouth feels worse after they’re done with the work. Not the case here, and Dr James assured me that that is not how it should ever be again. Fun personality and good care.
Fantastic experience: After several years of avoiding the dentist because of bad experiences in the past, I broke a tooth and was referred to Long Grove by my daughter and son-in-law. Dr. Sam & Dr. James both have a talent for putting me right at ease, thoroughly explained each step, and are very gentle. They have removed my dental anxiety and provide excellent care and a family dentist feel.

I was so nervous because they define my whole face so I did a lot of research and interviewed recommended dentists and I settled with Dr. Sam and he made the whole process easy, comfortable and pain free. Fantastic experience: Dr James did a fantastic job with crown prep and took the time to fix my loose implant which had been unstable for weeks. Left mostly pain free which is a lot to say! The staff are very courteous and answer questions patiently which makes it a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I have just recently begun coming to Long Grove Dental. Dr. James took me in when I had an emergency and he had to extract 2 teeth. It was completely painless as well as the recovery. Both Drs. are very approachable and just all around nice guys. Their staff is equally as good. They walk you through the process from start to finish to assure you are comfortable. I really could not say enough about them or their practice. Fantastic experience: It is no secret that one one enjoys going to their dentists. I avoided going for as long as o could before finding Dr. Sam and Dr. James. Both doctors are incredibly good at their job, the whole staff is just amazing, (starting with front desk), they are friendly, caring and helpful. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to dr Akmajian, both father (dr Sam) and son (dr James) for a while now. The practice is run professionally with friendly staff. Dr. James did my crowns and my husband’s too. I got my second crown from this practice today. He made sure I my cheek and lips were numbed so I wouldn’t feel the pain. He asked what’s my favorite music and played it during the process. Agata, the assistant was also sweet. I’d recommend dr Akmajian’s practice to anyone looking for a dentist. You’ll have a good experience, from the front office, Silva, all the technicians, and of course both doctors!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Dr. Sam since 1996. He’s a very skilled dentist and a good man. In my opinion he will do only what is best and necessary and explain why that is his professional opinion. Recently his son Dr. James has joined the practice as Dr Sam has gotten a bit older. Dr. James is a worthy successor and is always concerned for his patient’s comfort and checking to make sure everything is going Ok while they are working. The rest of the office staff is just as friendly and professional. I cannot recommend them higher. I am looking forward to staying with them as a client for another 28 years.

Fantastic experience: Dr James is a excellent dentist! Him and the staff were friendly and professional. Agata is the best dental assistant, really puts you to ease. They are all so friendly and you feel you are a priority to them. You walk in and they immediately stop what they are doing and greet you. Dr James explains what he is doing as he does the procedure. Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have ever been to. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of bad experiences, however my experience with Dr. James has made me love the dentist again. He explained everything well, was very precise with his work, and was gentle during his surgery. My bridge looks and feels great, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. His assistant Agata was very gentle and personable, and really made the entire experience comfortable. The hygienist Katie did a phenomenal job and made me at ease. Even the front desk manager Silva was helpful in working my insurance. Highly recommend this doctor, this team, and this entire facility.
