Fantastic experience: Great place for our dental needs. After leaving Northern Kentucky over seventeen years ago, we drive over one and a half hours for the exceptional care received in the office. It is always a pleasant experience for our family of four (adults and teens). Dr. Theiss and his staff are wonderful. I appreciate the extra time Chris takes explaining and showing techniques to take care of our dental health. I highly recommend Northern Kentucky Dental Care.

Negative experience: I am very unhappy with the filling they did on my tooth here. The tooth hurt for a few months after and now the tooth over top of it chipped off from the pressure the bottom tooth that they filled put on it

Negative experience: This dentist and office are the most unethical group of people that I have ever met. The office uses private information against patients. If you value ethics in care I would avoid this office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Theiss has been our dentist for 20+ years. He is very thorough, trustworthy and gentle. The dental hygienist, Chris, is awesome! I always feel like my teeth have received a thorough cleaning. I recommend this dentist office!

Negative experience: The dentist I made the appointment with was not the dentist I saw. The dental clinic assured me that they and their dentists were in network and yet I keep getting EOBs saying that the cleaning, X-rays and the dental exam were out of network. They need to get their act together. When I make an appointment with one dentist I expect to see THAT dentist! When they tell me they are in-network they need to make sure they are!

Fantastic experience: I have had always had big stress and anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I can genuinely say that my visit was the first time in my life I left the dentist feeling excited to come back! The entire staff (from the moment I entered until the moment I left) was super helpful, caring, and attentive. I was told what each person was doing for me: whether it was X-rays, checking, flossing, cleaning…every step was explained and I truly felt seen and understood. I can’t believe I’m typing this but I am very excited to go back! I would recommend this practice to anybody who may have history like me and know that you aren’t alone. Even if you are a seasoned veteran of dental visits, be sure to give them a try! :)

Fantastic experience: Our first experience at Northern KY Dental Care and it was a great one! My 10 year old twins each needed 2 teeth extracted and their regular dentist was not able to get them in until October. The dentist here was able to get them in, in less than a week! My girls said everyone was really nice and they did a good job. Would definitely go back!

Fantastic experience: Took my 90 year old mom here after an 8 year absence from the dentist. Katy was so patient with my mom and very understanding and sweet. Dr Lee was very thorough and explained options very clearly. Rachel did an excellent job examining her gums and doing a thorough cleaning. So glad I found this dental office that took our Medicare plan.

Fantastic experience: Took great care to make sure I had the best experience while getting a couple crowns. Very patient, professional, and kind as well. Will definitely go back!

Negative experience: Unable to review their dentistry, but their front desk staff is incredibly rude. We scheduled an appointment a few weeks out, but my husband didn’t confirm it due to work (press Y to confirm, N to cancel text type confirmation), & then called the office to cancel when he received another text regarding the appointment (called 5 mins. within receiving the text). The interaction on the phone was so rude that we are thankful he chose another office. Threatening a $75 fee if we were to be a client there & cancel -cancellation fees are normal practice, but having an awful attitude toward anyone (especially potential clients) is not, especially if the client is not being rude to you. Anyone can have a bad day, but tone & customer service still matters.

Fantastic experience: Best staff! Chris always makes going to the dentist easy. Always helpful and kind with how to improve my teeth’s health! My whole family goes here and loves the staff!

Fantastic experience: My Dentist and Mia were top notch regarding bedside manners. I was so pleasantly surprised with the results of my 2 upper middle teeth which, during a nasty fall, one chipped and both suffered loss of enamel. I actually look like my old self! Positive experience: I only had a crown replaced, but they were extremely nice and took my insurance. The crown was cemented back in, but detached in 1 week, went back and they placed it back on again. It came off again in 2 hours. Decided to go back to Cinti Dental in Edgewood, the original dental practice. The dentist there cleaned the stub and put the crown back in place. It's stayed on for 3 months now.

Negative experience: I have been going here for years and today I show up for my 4:00 appt. that was made 6 months ago, and was told it was cancelled. I didn't cancel it. The receptionist could not explain who or why it was cancelled. She asked if it was alright if I see a different hygienist and I said it was fine. The hygienist came out and said she couldn't see me because there wasn't a doctor in and with my medical history, she couldn't see me. I asked why was I scheduled at 4:00 then, if there was no doctor? Well two weeks ago they had a doctor but they left the practice. So I took off early for work for nothing and I am losing money, now they cant schedule me at 4 because they have no doctors past 2 so the latest they can do it is 1:00. The earliest morning appt they have is 8, which I would still miss almost two hours of work but they don't have any until October. She finally put me in at 9 later this week which means i have to drive to work in Edgewood then drive back to Highland Heights then back to work in Edgewood, wasting gas plus missing 1 and a half hours of work. I wasn't called about the appointment or anything. The receptionist did confess that she was the one who cancelled the appointment by mistake. This ordeal is going to cost me a lot of time and money. So disappointed in them!

Fantastic experience: This place is fantastic. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. I needed an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and they were able to fit me in on the day that I called. Everyone I came into contact with at this office was amazing. I was in terrible pain when I arrived and they helped get me numbed quickly for the procedure. Everything was smooth and I left as a happy but numb-faced customer.

They are also well informed on insurance plans which I found helpful. I feel confident I will get great dental care here by the staff and the dentist. Update: received my dentures today and I could not be happier. They fit so well! Ran into my granddaughter and daughter in law and they were amazed at my perfect smile. Dr. Theiss is an artist but most of all, through this whole process I never experienced a moment's pain. "Thank you" to you and your whole staff for the excellent work all of you do every day.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Northern Kentucky Dental Care for 5 years. This was one of the few times I’ve had Sarah as my hygienist and I had to compliment her a few times! She was so gentle with the flossing, and could even get the floss through my permanent retainer (that always proves difficult). She was very thorough and I can’t wait to show off my clean, new smile thanks to Sarah!

Fantastic experience: Staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. They actually research insurance coverage before treatment and have been accurate with estimates. Dr Thies actually listens and tries to work with patient's requests. He also explains his plan of treatment so it's easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Theiss is an excellent dentist! I’ve been going to him for a long time, I’d say about 25 years now, and my guess is that he was a dentist for years before I ever even moved to Kentucky. So I’m thinking that’s just one reason why he’s so good at this… he’s had A LOT of years of experience to practice on A LOT of people’s teeth!! All that time continuously improving and developing his techniques, while also expanding his skill set to include new stuff such as the dental implants. Dr. Theiss has a calm, cool, collected demeanor, I think that’s what allows him to get straight to the point yet still come across with a sort of gentle approach… even when he has to relay some bad news! He's always thorough and effective in his communication, saying things in a way that patients can understand. Dr. Theiss has a steady hand and works with a reassuring sense of confidence like everything is gonna be alright. You can trust him. Another thing you won’t always find in this line of work is that he pretty much runs on time with scheduled appointments. It seems like he doesn’t overload his schedule to the degree that he’d either have to rush through all his visits or fall way behind. I never get the impression that he’s in a big hurry or doesn’t have time to answer questions or address my concerns. This shows that he values his patients and their time. Dr. Theiss has an awesome staff working for him as well. Amanda and Chris are two employees who stand out & come to mind at the moment. Both of them do an outstanding job and are always upbeat and positive. They come across like they’re genuinely happy to see you and they care. Honestly though, everyone at this establishment is always friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Great service every time! I would highly recommend Northern Kentucky Dental Care to anyone and everyone looking for a super dentist and staff. You will be in great hands for as long as the business lasts, because once you become a patient here, you’ll keep going back!

Fantastic experience: The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Explained each step they were taking and provided helpful teeth cleaning tips. My children and I enjoy our visits. Chris, my dental hygienist is very personable and knowledgeable. She always gives excellent advice and tips.during my cleaning.
