Negative experience: Getting charged $133 for a quick consultation, not even an exam, is just the next level for me. My mom broke her denture she got overseas, and we just wanted to see if it could be fixed. Technically, there was a picture taken with a phone, sent to the technician, who said yes he could fix it for $370 additionally. I have no idea what we paid $133 for. It could be just a picture and the email honestly. We were also offered x-ray multiple times for an additional fee of course, also makes no sense in this case.

Negative experience: I don’t recommend. They will try to get you to do things you don’t need and of course it’s not covered by insurance. It was a total waste of time experience.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Raleigh a few months ago and I can say that I made a very good decision in selecting this practice. My hygienist, Christian, is so skillful and the staff is absolutely delightful. They also specialize in sleep study with an emphasis on diagnosing sleep apnea.

Fantastic experience: I love this Dentistry. The staff are courteous and quick, and aim to make the experience as easy and comfortable as possible. Dr. Dua has a plethora of knowledge and patient, gentle bedside manner. My treatment plan was made very easy for me to understand by the lovely reception/billing team. After several bad experiences at other practices, I am truly grateful that I’ve found this care team.

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience! I went in for a consult on Tuesday, unfortunately did not have a time that matched with my schedule that week unless a cancellation. They texted me as soon as a cancellation happened and gave me the best looking teeth I’ve ever had. After having bonding done to my front 4 teeth for 14 years it was a breath of fresh air to find a new dentist. Dr. Jones is great at her job!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely a 5 star experience. Christian, my dental hygienist was both extremely friendly and also very thorough in her explanation and also ensuring I was ok. She is also pretty funny as well. So I told her as a Army Vet I said no worries on my pain threshold, but she was extremely careful nonetheless. The doctor, she was great as well.

Fantastic experience: Visited Klooster (Dr. Jones) to get fitted for a sleep apnea oral appliance. The process was extremely quick and painless. They worked with my insurance for coverage on the device. Staff was very kind would highly recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience here was far from positive, and I felt the staff lacked professionalism. I won’t be returning and would advise others to be cautious and ask plenty of questions before committing to treatment here.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been coming to Klooster for a few years now. All of our experiences have been very good. For my past few visits Jenny has been my hygienist. She's been great and is great at encouraging you to take better care of your teeth without bringing shame. I've also had good interactions with both doctors, although have been seen by Dr. Meckler more. When I've had procedures done like a crown or cavity he typically follows up that evening to see how I'm doing. Overall my experience of Klooster Family Dentistry has been that they are exceedingly professional while also maintaining the human touch.

Fantastic experience: I had my new patient visit at Klooster this morning and it was an excellent experience! Kari was friendly and efficient as she took x-rays, did the digital scan, then cleaned and polished my teeth. Dr. Jones examined my teeth and gums, looking at a couple areas from the x-rays that turned out to be okay. Both Kari and Dr. Jones took their time and I felt very confident that I had a really thorough cleaning and exam. Even though my insurance doesn’t cover the entire cost, like it did at my previous corporate dentist office, I am glad I switched because this exam was much more thorough and worth the out of pocket cost. My spouse and adult daughter also go to Klooster and have been very pleased. I switched on their recommendation and I’m glad I did.

Fantastic experience: UPDATED 2025: Another year as a Klooster Family Dentistry patient and the staff keeps getting better! The front desk is always professional and welcoming, Dr. Meckler is just terrific but what keeps me as a patient is the dental hygienist I see, Jenny. She is super friendly which helps me relax for my visit and is very professional and skilled which I very much appreciate as a patient. Jenny is very positive, well organized, and a great (and funny) conversationalist. Jenny makes sure I know what the procedure will be, check that I am comfortable before she begins, and checks with me the whole time. Jenny always makes sure I know what I need before my next visit to keep my teeth and gums healthy! I very much appreciate her time and hard work, as well as all of the staff at Kloosters!

Fantastic experience: I have actually had a good number of wonderful dentists. Today though, I think my current one sealed the deal as the best ever. I got a cavity filled and it didn't hurt except my jaw from staying open too long/wide compared to usual. He didn't even hurt me when he injected the numbing stuff (novacaine?). I really like my usual dental hygienist, but today I met another wonderful employee, but I don't know her name or title (dental assistant maybe?). I already loved the office and thought highly of both dentists because of never being oversold services and getting the best night guard I ever had. I have chewed through many, many night guards and this is the most comfortable, durable, and it stays in place (not on my pillow in the morning). Klooster Dentistry has two locations, but I go to the one in Raleigh because it was close to where I use to live. They are so good I make the lengthy drive though.

Fantastic experience: We love the practice and especially Dr Jones, Nicole, and the friendly and helpful front desk staff. They are always able to accommodate schedule changes. They are honest and not the type to try and upsell you or bill unnecessary work. Everyone is happy to be there, they don't rush you and are also hardly ever behind. Once a year or so ago they were running behind and called to ask me to come a bit later- so I wasn't stuck waiting.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience. Show up 15 minutes early to be taken back 10 minutes late. The hygienist then cut my mouth 3 times getting xrays then got upset with me for not biting down like she needed as it was cutting me. I literally stopped my appointment at that point. Then my daughter at age 5 had a similar experience where they ended up just referring her to a pediatric dentist so they didn't have to deal with it. I was so hoping with all the good reviews and it being a local family dentist that we had found our forever provider. I highly recommend if you have kids, do not take them here. As for adults that don't mind their mouth getting cut for simple xrays, good luck I'm just not one.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars so I can win a gift card. Pros: no goodie bag after of things I don’t use. Friendly. Cons: $100 cancel fee within 24 hours. I’ll take business elsewhere then. You’ll make more money long term keeping patient than collecting a fee and losing them. Just a thought.

They make sure that I get the dental care I need without pushing me to get expensive surgeries that can be prevented with regular care. The hygienists are also some of the most gentle who have worked on my teeth.

There is definitely a positive vibe... from Dr. Jones to the dental hygenists and staff workers, they all seem to really like their jobs; it's refreshing to walk in and be greeted in an office like this. It is also a very clean and updated office, and they take good care of making the office very presentable as well as using (what appears to be) the latest and greatest tools/software, etc. I have been to dentist offices where the hygienists don't do a very thorough job. But not here... they are incredibly thorough with my teeth cleaning, and they go the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction. I enjoyed having Nicole clean my teeth today! I would definitely recommend Klooster Family Dentistry!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had extensive restoration work done by Dr. Jones and Shelley, which included replacing 6 crowns at one time along the bottom front of my mouth. The reason for this was one of the old crowns had broken and I had a choice to make. I could replace the one, two four or all six. Dr. Jones explained every step to me in detail about the replacement and left the choices up to me as to how many I wanted to replace. The previous crowns had been done over 20 years ago by a previous dentist, so I chose to go with the six, since the color of the old crowns was not a good match to my upper teeth. I was given the option of going to the lab that makes the crowns to ensure a better match could be made and the result was perfect. I am so pleased with the new crowns. Both Dr. Jones and Shelley did excellent work and even kept my anxiety at bay. I was never uncomfortable. Even the front desk staff, who are always friendly and welcoming, helped to put me at ease when I first entered the office. Dr. Jones, Shelley and Jenny have been excellent in the care they have given me since I have been coming to Klooster Family Dentistry at Lynn Road. I thank all of you and really appreciate the front desk staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been involved in various organizations/operations in the business world for many years and I can honestly say that I've never seen one operate more professionally than the Klooster Family Dentistry on Lynn Road in Raleigh. And I'm a TOUGh grader. Everyone on the staff was genuinely cordial and strived to make all patients feel as comfortable as possible. And I can't say enough about both the customer concern and skill level of Dr. Brian Mechler. He was able to effectively save a tooth that had been previously declared unsalvageable. He even called me at home the evening following the procedure to make sure everything was OK. What a pleasant surprise! I cannot recommend this office (and Dr. Mechler) strongly enough.

All of the dental hygienists and dentists I have had are super friendly and have made me feel comfortable during my appointments. Fantastic experience: I don't post very often but when you have an exceptional experience, you want to recognize the people and organization that provided that exceptional experience. I have not been to a dentist in several years but had to contact one due to a broken tooth. I contacted Klooster Family Dentistry in Raleigh, explained what had happened and I was seen the following day by Dr. Brian Meckler and his assistant, Christy. That was the first exceptional experience. The second exceptional experience was my consultation and procedure. I explained my reservations and experiences with other dentists. They listened to me and proceeded with providing me the best care and treatment I’ve ever had in a dentist chair.
