Fantastic experience: Everyone was very kind at Smile Partners. Dr. Parks is a new dentist for me. He was very gentle and thorough. I appreciated his patience and future plan for these old teeth.

Negative experience: I visited this dentist about a year ago with severe tooth pain that made it difficult to eat and resulted in frequent lightheadedness. They did not bother doing an x-ray, and instead just poked around inside my mouth (causing me much more pain) and said they didn't know what was wrong. They treated me like an inconvenience. When I had a flare-up again, I visited Forest Hill Dental just across the street where they did a proper x-ray and found a big abscess that resulted in a root canal and crown. The appointment here was far from thorough and left me disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I went for my 6month check up. Everyone was welcoming, on time and the cleaning, fluoride treat and exam were pleasant. I'll be back in months for my next check-up. I've been a patient for many years.

Fantastic experience: As someone with severe dental anxiety, this office is amazing. Every single person is so kind & comforting.

Negative experience: After being rescheduled once, I thought my next appointment would still be held. However knowing I was going to be one minute over the grace period I was still canceled and rebooked for 6 months out. I am now going in 1 year of not having my teeth cleaned. As a type one diabetic and someone who is working, they show no tolerance or care to their patients. I have had repeated issues with this group.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelsey Loius and team have been wonderful. I love coming in and seeing everyone. Very friendly staff.

Negative experience: Billing Department. You keep sending me the bill with the same amount, which I believe is inaccurate based on my insurance explanation of benefits that show what they paid you. This would be like double dipping... you getting paid twice. "I've" been trying to get this corrected and it's going on 9 months now. I was going to remove this review once it was corrected because I have to utmost respect for the Doctors, but after my last call hearing billing doesn't want to talk to me because I hurt their feelings?? Give me a break! Do your job! You tell me the insurance didn't pay, that you don't see anything? You know there's an issue but somehow you don't want to inconvenience yourself by making a phone call to them? Because if you did take that initiative, then you would have learned that they sent you those funds on May 30th, and it was Direct Deposited on June 3rd. How do I know, you may wonder?? Ashley, who I spoke to at the Insurance Company, told me. There's also a Trace number that they can only give to you. So you see... you may have to call them afterall, if you want that Trace Number, you know, to trace those funds. And by the way, you're welcomed for this information. Imagine a patient intentionally getting ghosted by the billing department because the patient is trying to make the correct payment on an owed bill...ridiculously true. So absurd!

Fantastic experience: Doctors are great here, they are all very knowledgeable and they actually care, all have a unique personality. Hygienists are all very pleasant to be cleaned by, very gentle and friendly, professional and QUICK! Assistants always very personable and they actually remember you, and try to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Nice clinic, clean and modern looking. Front desk always very cheerful and pleasant to interact with. They also get new patients with emergencies in VERY quickly! Overall, I don't have anything negative to say about the patient experience here, would recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I was having a dental emergency and was unable to get to my regular dentist due to hours. I searched for dentists in the area and came across this place. I am so thankful I did. The dentist was great and made me feel like I have been patient with them forever even though this was my first time there. They got me all fixed up and I'm good to go now. I am now thinking of switching to this office!

Fantastic experience: Requested an emergency visit for a cavity as a new patient. Completed forms online prior to visit. Arrived early for my appointment and was seen immediately. No long wait beyond my scheduled time. Very impressed with the office and staff. Found my new dentist!!

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning this morning Alyssa has been doing this for a long time. I happy with the work she does the doctor that came in today was a first meeting her. She was very polite.

Negative experience: First the hygienist was rude and unwilling to accomodate or try to do X-rays differently until I nearly walked out then all of a sudden they were able to use a smaller insert for the X-rays. Then without ever doing an exam was told I had 3 cavities needing to be fixed. Then that I have periodontal disease and need deep scaling and it’s painful and requires numbing usually. Mind you I go to my cleanings religiously at my old dentist, only reason I looked for a new one was it’s 45 minutes away. Then I was told I would need to get cleanings every 3 months or so to get my gums better but the first appointment wasn’t for 7 months. Lucky for me I work in healthcare and not as gullible as they thought and got a second opiyback at my previous dentist. No gum disease and no fillings needed in the near future. Looks like they like to push extra procedures for extra $$$. Never again. Have no clue why this place has such great reviews

Fantastic experience: The best and my favorite dentist. Been going to Smile Partners of Bel Air for about 10 years. My experience has always been exceptional.

Positive experience: Every time I come in, I never know who I’m going to get. I’ve never had the same hygienist twice and I thought I was seeing Dr. Kelsey, but then a new dentist, Dr. McKenzie walked in and you just kind of feel like you’re a number and not a patient. The hygienist was really friendly and patient and caring and I felt like she really listened to me but when the dentist told me I needed to have another procedure, I opted to go with Dr. Kelsey since she’s so great and she knows me. I’m just gonna have to double check in the future for my next cleanings that I get the doctor I want and not just whomever is available.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly, nice new office, great staff. Had an emergency toothache and they saw me that same day with a referral and a script for the infection, I'm now onto an Entodontist but their care is top notch from Melissa to reception to Dr. McKenzie. I just love this office!!!!

Fantastic experience: Always a great visit with this practice - My 3 grown children and I have been clients for 25+yrs - We have had everything from cleanings to braces to root canals - Dr. Jimmy is our go to, however, ALL of the personnel are amazing at what they do!!!

Negative experience: I’ve been bringing my kids to this office for a while, but after repeated scheduling issues, I’m extremely frustrated. We originally scheduled back-to-back appointments for all three of my kids six months ago. Then, for the third time, the office called last minute to reschedule—this time canceling one of the appointments completely. This highlights three major issues: 1. Scheduling Errors & Cancellations – This is the third time they’ve rescheduled close to the appointment date, with no availability anytime soon. On top of that, they removed one child’s booking entirely, even though all three appointments were scheduled together at their last visit. 2. Lack of Accommodation – They were unable (or unwilling) to reschedule my kids together, meaning I’d have to make three separate trips, pulling my kids out of school on different days and coordinating extra pickups. 3. High Staff Turnover – This time, the reason for rescheduling was a hygienist quitting. Last year, the orthodontist we saw also left. This raises concerns about what’s going on behind the scenes. I spoke with the office manager, hoping for a solution, but instead, she suggested I go elsewhere. Then, while I was still speaking, she hung up the phone. Throughout the conversation, I remained respectful, expressing both my frustration and understanding, but it’s hard to be patient when this keeps happening. While the dental hygienists have always been great and friendly, the consistent cancellations, lack of flexibility, and dismissive attitude from management make this office highly inconvenient—especially for families with multiple children. If you only have one child, maybe the disruptions are manageable, but for parents coordinating multiple kids, this scheduling system is a nightmare. Given the way my call ended and the apparent high turnover of staff, I can’t help but wonder if these issues are related.

Fantastic experience: I was taken to the back on time and seen by Dr. Jimmy shortly thereafter. We talked about next steps, and I left with all of my follow up appointments. I was in and out fairly quickly and every staff member I interacted with was very professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience. The folks are super polite, and quite confident in their skills. When ever someone asks for a recommendation for dental work, Smile Partners is an easy referral.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a regular cleaning. The hygienist had a nice touch. She reminded me of work I needed from previous visit and wouldn’t let me leave until I made that appointment. I appreciated that since I forgot already :)

Negative experience: I had an appointment in December for a filling and a crown, but I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain in that tooth recently. I’ve reached out several times over the past few months but have received no calls back. I’m frustrated with the lack of communication and responsiveness. I hope they can improve this in the future.

Positive experience: UPDATE – A Step in the Right Direction After my initial experience, the office finally reached out to apologize. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late. I was told it would be months before I could reschedule, and though they promised a manager would call me, that never happened. As a business owner myself, I felt it was important to inform ownership about what was going on. I asked "Dr. Jimmy" to call me, and to my surprise, he did. He had no idea what had happened and was genuinely apologetic. While I still had to wait until 3/3/25 for an appointment at a less-than-ideal time, I accepted. To my surprise, Dr. Jimmy personally performed my cleaning and exam. The office was clean, the staff was pleasant, and I was apologized to profusely, though that wasn’t my goal. Because of Dr. Jimmy’s efforts, I’m increasing my review from 1 star to 3. For now, I’ll remain a patient. However, on March 3rd, I wasn’t able to schedule my next appointment until the end of September. Ownership should have been more aware of these ongoing issues, and I still sense mismanagement. That said, Dr. Jimmy’s attempt to correct the situation went a long way. Time will tell how things progress from here. -------------------------- Absolutely Horrible Experience – Total Waste of My Time If I could give zero stars, I would. Smile Partners of Bel Air is the definition of incompetence and mismanagement. I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday, 2/12/25, after waiting over SIX months to get in. Given the winter storm the night before, I called their office on 2/11/25 at 5:50 PM to check their inclement weather policy. I spoke with (I believe her name was Jasmine), who assured me that if they closed, they would notify ME. She explained that “Dr. Jimmy” (her words, not mine) would personally assess the roads before 6 AM, and staff would be informed. I explicitly mentioned that I had an 8:30 AM appointment and would need time to get there. She assured me they would contact patients well in advance if they were closing. Fast forward to the next morning—despite Harford County Schools closing, the roads were completely fine (even the side streets). At 7:00 AM, I received a text confirmation reminding me of my 8:30 AM appointment. So, I left at 7:45 AM, arrived at 8:20 AM, and found… LOCKED DOORS. The building (which they share with Bay Vanguard) has posted hours stating they don’t even open until 9 AM?! That’s news to me! I immediately called the office, only to hear a voicemail message stating they were CLOSED FOR THE DAY. The exact opposite of what I was told the night before AND what their 7 AM text led me to believe. Here I am, 9:15 AM, still no call, no email, nothing. This was an absolute joke. Terrible communication, complete disregard for their patients' time, and zero accountability.

Fantastic experience: Hygienist did good job cleaning teeth. Did X-ray and related to Dr Greg I had problems with two teeth. He followed up. Hygienist recommended more frequent cleanings,use of electroc toothbrush and proper use of water pic

Fantastic experience: Dental visits are never topping anyone’s list of fun things, but the team that’s greets you at check in all the way through to check ups, cleanings or more invasive procedures could not be more professional and make the procedures a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Smile partners saw me after a rough holiday of my wisdom tooth becoming extremely painful. They were courteous, professional and everyone was very nice from start to finish. Very relaxing atmosphere and they seem to care that you are comfortable during your visit. I would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: The staff was kind and accommodating and I especially thank them for getting me in on the same day for a diagnosis. However that the Dr. allowed me to leave with a broken tooth, that they couldn’t fit me in for the extraction until February. Then handed me a list of other service providers to contact on my own who couldn’t help me until January. I left in terrible pain after seeing the doctor and frankly I expect better from them. My family has spent over $15k in treatments and procedures with Smile Partners and this I guess is the treatment you can expect.

Fantastic experience: I have been impressed with the attention this practice has given to improving customer relationships. The end product of restorative treatments is wonderful! Good job Smile Partners and my particular thanks to Dr Greg.

Fantastic experience: Very speedy and friendly staff, seems thorough and knowledgeable! 12/14/2020: I had to get a crown and I was terrified. Dr. Greg made the experience as painless as possible. He was fast, efficient and comforting. The next day I only had dull aching which is all but taken away with an ibuprofen. I've had a hard time finding a dentist that made me feel confident in their skill and patient communication. I'm happy to say this practice is shaping up to fit quite well! 9/2/2021: Due to traffic I was late and at 34 weeks pregnant, I was very uncomfortable. The staff were accommodating as always and made me happy I chose this dentist office. They have demonstrated professionalism as well as compassion. 9/18/2023: Back again when pregnant, and all the staff was fast and courteous. The new facility is fantastic and I again can't say enough nice things about the staff. 11/11/2024: Consistency is key. They’re consistently on time, provide quality care and friendly. I have recommended smile partners to many and will continue to do so!

Fantastic experience: Overall a great experience there at Smile Partners of North Bel Air. This location is great; nice building; everyone was friendly and the layout of equipment is nice and new, in my opinion. I was able to schedule an exam one day and a regular cleaning the very next (due to a cancellation from another patient). Leaving, I felt a bit sad thinking of the possibility that I wouldn’t be there next year for whatever reason, until I got in the car and noticed my bright smile. Thank you!

Negative experience: miss one appointment for a cleaning and now I must wait another 8 months to get in with my hygienist. That means it will be over a year and then i will have to hear them complain about the plague on my teeth....If i have to wait a year between cleanings then I probably need to find another dental clinic. I loved the hygienist Lisa and Dr, Kelsey but the rest of the staff can be quite rude. I understand you are busy but 8 months for a missed appointment is just plain ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Bel Air smile partners for years now. I was treated by Robin the hygienist oh, and I must say it was the best cleaning I have ever had. Robin was gentle, kind and a great conversationalist with a big heart. She was absolutely the best hygienist I have ever had although other ones work good too.

Negative experience: Kelsey was nice but not much in conversation / friendliness. It seemed there was pressure to do periodontal repair. Too much for me at this time. I went in for confirmation of molar problem which she affirmed but went on to deciding gums needed periodontal cleaning. I may not be returning. I don't need a sales push. Robert

Fantastic experience: My hygienist, Nicole, was very friendly and caring. I have a very sensitive tooth and she was very careful with my cleaning. I have been with this practice over 20 years because the staff and dentists are awesome!

Fantastic experience: Loved the new location! Lots more room and of course being able to follow Dr. Jimmy didn’t hurt either! Staff attending me were quick and efficient-nice too! The parking lot was so much more spacious! Five Stars!

Positive experience: Just like so many other dental & medical office visits... Sometimes they are outstanding, sometimes they are average, sometimes they fall short of expectations. Quite disappointed in the last visit where the hygienist was quite impersonal and mechanical in her tasks. Friendliness goes a long way when you're in a dental chair feeling a bit self-conscious.

Negative experience: This office has gotten too big and has went down hill quickly. The office staff has gotten HORRIBLE and RUDE - when you call you get nothing but attitude from the receptionist. I've been taking my kids here for over 10 years and it is not the family friendly practice it once was when everyone was so friendly and you knew the dentist and hygienists and they knew you too and now it feels like you're rushed in and rushed out and there is no sense of patient care or customer service. Definitely will not return.

Fantastic experience: First, I really like the convenience of late afternoon and evening appointments. That’s a great service. Second, my treatment started exactly at my scheduled time and big props to Kasha for immediately prepping me for my procedure. Third, Dr. Gregg Giovanni did an excellent job, as always, repairing my broken tooth.

Fantastic experience: I had my #4 tooth sheer off it had beem capped twice no root canal. They could not save the tooth. they were friendly and made me comfortable as they offer the options to repair or extract my tooth. I was in and out without pain in an hour. what ablessing this was, thank you i highly recommend the team at bel air smile partners to friends and family. Teeth cleaning went without a hitch, good job.

Fantastic experience: They helped me understand what was going on with my teeth and were extremely helpful and friendly. I also have a treatment plan with them to get my teeth back to normal. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends and anyone and trust they would be taken care of.

Negative experience: I have been trying to make a NP apt with them since April. Every time an appointment was scheduled, I would get a message that it had to be rescheduled. I finally just canceled completely since now the next available appointment is in July. I have no doubt that the dentists are good, you're just unable to get and keep a scheduled appointment.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience today at Bel Air Smile Partners! I was greeted there by the Dental Assistant who wore a mask and gloves. She asked the routine questions and took X-rays. The hygienist came in with gown, gloves, mask and shield on. She did a thorough cleaning of my teeth and was very pleasant. The Dentist came in, also masked and gloved, and did an exam and checked my X-rays. I made my next appointment and was escorted out of the building. Everyone was pleasant and very professional. They are very COVID 19 cautionary. I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you BASP!!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly atmosphere! I absolutely LOVE Dr. Schall. I’ve been going to him since I was a baby and I’ve never once had a bad experience with him. Very family friendly guy and fantastic with kids. The dental assistants and hygienists are always fantastic!

Fantastic experience: The staff here is excellent and super friendly! Had my wisdom teeth pulled by them and they were really accommodating and helped ease my fear of waking up during surgery (which has happened to me once before). Everything went super smoothly. Also they're always timely with regular cleanings/checkups!

Fantastic experience: I was eating peanut butter filled pretzel bites yesterday afternoon and broke my permanent bottom retainer. I called and they got me in immediately at 5:00 in the evening. Dr. Shearer was amazing and fixed my retainer right there on the spot. Thank you.

Negative experience: Dr. Lewis was 45 minutes & never apologize or said anything! Left the office highly upset & completely devastated with the news. It should have shown up on an x-ray when I had a cleaning done there ! Not after my crown fell out do, I hear about a cavity underneath the crown.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist ever. Dr Jimmy and his crew are very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Everyone is happy and helpful there. Once you walk through their doors, you are not leaving as you feel welcomed and appreciated. It’s nice to know you are being taken care of as if you were family!

Fantastic experience: My visit was great. Was checked in while in my car and the was brought right back to a room where the doctor was there already and Robin did a great job cleaning and polishing my teeth. Love this office.

Positive experience: I had my first visit. Everything is new, clean, and the technology seemed new. I had my initial consult where they just inspected my teeth. I have 30 years of dental history, so it seemed sort of wasteful to have this appointment, but they did. I arrived at 11:55 for a 12:00pm appt, was seen by 12:05. X-rays took about 10 minutes or so. I sat in the chair waiting for a doctor from 12:20-1:00pm. The doctor seemed knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. They apologized for the wait, and took about 10 additional minutes to look at my teeth and put notes in the system. All was good, I go back in July for a cleaning, which seems sort of like a long wait. I probably could have gotten a cleaning in the 40min wait I had. But anyways, we all have days where things don’t go as planned. I’ll give it another visit as the office did seem organized and efficient and the doctor seemed knowledgeable, that’s ultimately the most important. Hopefully the timing will improve!

The hygenist was so patient with him and answered all his questions. Such a great experience all around. We’ve been going for years but the appointment really showed how great the people are there.

The dental hygienist and doctors are always very informative and tentative to patient needs. Overall great place to go.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth ache for years and my old dentist said it was fine. Smile Partners did a thorough initial exam and it turns out my last dentist missed a really bad cavity! Now I need a root canal! So glad they found it though! Everyone is nice. There’s even a monitor with beautiful aerial photography to look at while they do the work. It’s Disneyland for your teeth!

Negative experience: Long story short, after thousands of dollars in dental work completed here, my bridge failed and according to many professionals I've seen since, should have never been done in the first place. I also had other work fail here in addition to the bridge. The dental surgeon I see now tried to contact the dentist I saw here and they wouldn't respond. I now need 10k+ in additional risky work that wouldn't have been necessary had they done it right the 1st time. Do yourself a favor and find a practice with a higher work ethic that isn't out to just make as much money as possible at your ongoing expense.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant staff. Excellent care from competent, friendly providers. Also very accommodating hours and they really make every effort to manage urgent visits as well.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Smile Partners and I was very impressed. I had to change dentist because my former dentist no longer took my insurance. I had go get a crown cemented back in and Smile Partners was able to get me in quickly and on a Saturday! The staff was professional and friendly and the dentist had me taken care of in less than one hour. That is total time from when I entered the office. I am glad to have made the change.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always kind and courteous. The dentists are all great. They have great office hours. I have referred friends who are not existing patients in the practice and they make every effort to get them quickly in for appointments.

Fantastic experience: The staff was extremely affable and the doctor was very attentive to me and my concerns. My appointment was at 7pm yet I did not feel like my care was rushed or compromised at all. The dentist took her time and did a thorough examination. I am very happy, so far, with my decision to move to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so kind and informative. Dr. Kelsey answered all my questions without making me feel rushed, and she encouraged changes where needed without criticizing me. All 3 receptionists were sweet and the assistant who took me back was great too. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelcey (sp?) Was amazing. The front staff was so kind and made you feel comfortable. And I was squeezed in last minute. I appreciate their service, tooth pain is the absolute worst.

Fantastic experience: I had called a few places and Bel Air Smiles was able to schedule for an emergency appointment within 2 days. When ibgot there, there was only a few minutes wait to go back. The assistant took my xrays within 2 minutes and the dentist came in within 5 minutes. I never had quicker service anywhere! They were so quick and able to figure out exactly what was wrong and causing me such unbearable pain. Plus they didn't make me feel bad about my teeth and put me at ease during the appointment. They were also so very pleasant and so friendly yet very knowledgeable and professional. They were able to get my root canal scheduled right away for the very next morning! My own husband was totally shocked at how fast my appointment took and couldn't believe I was done and out the door in less than 20 minutes! Wow! Such great service there in all aspects! What a pleasant surprise!

Positive experience: Dr. Greg Digiovanni and crew are great! New office is very nice, good parking and easy access. Only complaint: billing office personnel is rude. They mistakenly billed us for xrays that weren't covered (staff was to have checked if it was covered before taking the xrays). Called the office and Rebecca gave me a hard time on the phone -- told me we "had to pay" since we got the xrays done. They were to remove the charges for both of us. Got our bill and it's still wrong. Called and left a message to discuss it and they never bothered to call me back!

Fantastic experience: The new place is beautiful with lots of parking. I sat for maybe a minute and was taken back to get ready for my cleaning. Everyone was wonderful! From the nice girl who took my X-rays to the hygienist who did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth to the doctor who came in with so much positive energy. A+ experience!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful location and staff. I went for a consultation on some significant restoration needed and I couldn’t have been more pleased with Dr Kelsey who quickly assessed that the work I needed was outside her specialty and referred me to a specialist. It’s very refreshing to find that level of honesty and integrity.

Fantastic experience: Amazing front desk staff! Joelle is the absolute best! She always fits me in when I need care! I can’t say enough about the front staff!!! The best! Dr Greg is amazing and he truly listens and cares about his patients!

Fantastic experience: I have severe anxiety due to a previous experience with another dentist, but every single staff member in this office is so kind and understanding and they made me feel more at ease. Dr Greg and Dr Jimmy are the kindest sweetest most caring dentist I have ever met. I highly recommend this office to anyone with dental anxiety!!!!
