Fantastic experience: I’m terrible and have avoided the dentist. However, I decided to really get it together and went in for a cleaning. Great experience! Went in last week for my wisdom teeth removal, and the process was smooth! Dr. Chen & Dr. Oh are so helpful, and any concerns I have had they have provided me with great feedback. Lauren at the front desk is beyond welcoming and very kind as well. Overall a really great experience, and happy to make future appointments with Westar Dental.

Fantastic experience: I took my daughter there due to her wisdom teeth being swollen and needing out. They are not within my insurance network but her regular dentist couldn't pull her teeth and the person who could only works once every two months and they were going to charge an arm and a leg. But Westar charged way less for the teeth extraction and got it done same day. I paid less without insurance than with the insurance. Dr OH was awesome with my daughter and was able to make her relax while pulling her wisdom teeth which is hard for most people with her. My daughter said he was so calming and quick with it. I would highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: Called and asked if they took our insurance which they said they did. However when we arrived they charged there rates which are double the industry standard without letting us know that they are out of network and dont honor what insurance pays. Not transparent with pricing. Had to get a bigger procedure done that they quoted 3.5k. Called around and found out they are double what the normal rates are. There service and people are great. They have good equipment and a nice atmosphere. The non transparency in pricing and there exorbitant rates drops the 5 star to a 2. Wish them well but I do not recommend if you dont plan on flushing your money down the toilet

Fantastic experience: I had full mouth dental implants done by Dr. Oh and I can’t say enough! Being that it is a pretty extensive procedure I was very nervous, but the whole staff made it easy and I felt comfortable from the start. I was seen for a consultation and had the procedure scheduled less than one month later. Dr. Oh is very thorough and professional. The whole staff is welcoming and kind. The cost of implants are very expensive and after several consultations at other offices, Westar was by far the cheapest. Thank you Westar dental for helping regain my confidence with a new smile!

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this dentist office for about 5 years twice a year now. Never had problems until recently. My partner went in to get cavities filled and was experiencing emergency level pain. When we called to set an appointment up, they informed us that they would not do so unless we paid a $85 appointment fee. For the 5 years I have been coming here, not once have I paid an appointment fee. They stated that the fee would come out of any work that the doctor would do. We paid $800 to get dental work done and they would not fix their mistake and see him without demanding more money to make the appointment and for us to pay to fix whatever issue that they clearly caused. So 800 + appt fee + “any additional work completed.” They should have immediately had him come in as he already paid for this service and this would have been an appointment to fix their mistake. This is quite literally dental fraud. I had an appointment next week for a routine cleaning and just received an email that it was canceled without my knowledge or courtesy phone call. Reception staff is extremely rude, ignorant & completely unprofessional. I am truly appalled at the way they have treated us and deeply disappointed in Dr. Oh for not taking care of the situation as I have known him and respected him for many years. Please do not visit this office unless you want them to not do their dental work professionally and correctly and then demand more money to fix whatever issue they didn’t take care of the first time. Josh - the dental hygienist - is amazing and quite literally the only hygienist here that has not left me with bleeding gums due to inadequate professional capacity and skill. I had asked the reception team to have Dr. Oh call me, as he has told me to do if I ever found myself in a situation like this, and I am surely certain that they did not relay the message to him. Deeply disappointed, will not be returning to this office ever and will be having all my referrals switch to another dentist office as well.

Fantastic experience: Come here for every cleaning. I have also had my wisdom teeth removed here and had a filling procedure. They took the time to make sure i was comfortable but also perform each service very quickly and thoroughly! Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Easy and Fast. Very nice, all of the people were very welcoming. I dont go to the dentist often which is terrible but I have a fear of dentist. However they made it easy, got me in and out for a emergency extraction same day! Will come back for regular cleanings and fillings!

Negative experience: Wasn't gonna post this review but this place doesnt keep records of payments made and then 5 months later they say you are past due and the 2 payments that you made for your son to have work done has disappeared from their records. The charges still exists on my wife's Discover card. I must acknowledge that they wouldnt do any work on our son unless we paid upfront. As soon as I realized they were trying to get more money out of us by saying we never made any payments I dropped them like cold turkey. They say we owe $200 and some but my wife's discover shows 2 transactions totalling over $200. If a company has 5 star be very careful. Obviously this place is far from a 5* I cannot be the only person they say didnt pay anything and they are trying to get the ame amount I already paid plus more. BE WARNED and RETHINK before you ever think about coming here!!!

Fantastic experience: Im so glad I found this dentist. Everyone here is super nice and very professional. I had a full upper implant denture done. Absolutely love the final results. They also restored my bottoms teeth. They put three crown on and its Absolutely amazing how well they fit them. My last dentist did suck a poor job with crowns, there's was always gaps between the crown and the tooth. Food constantly getting stuck, and the crown would akway fail after a few year's. But the three crown they did here fit seamlessly its amazing. I feel very confident that they will ladt for years even possibly decades. Ive been to alot of diffrent dentists in my life and if I had to recommend one ot would be this place, hands down the best dental work I've ever had done and also at a reasonably affordable price!

Fantastic experience: Very efficient office. I was seen right away for my appointment. My hygienist, Areeba was highly skilled, super nice and explained the process well and gave great home care recommendations. Dr. Oh was extremely personable and thorough in his evaluation. This place is an amazing dental practice! I'd recommend anyone in the area to seek care at Westar Dental if you're searching for care.

Fantastic experience: After much research, comparison shopping, and speaking with several offices, I chose Westar. Drew was very informative and incredibly professional and kind. My procedure was partially completed today. (Part one of implant; extraction, bone graft, and post set) I am amazed at how quickly and well it all went. I have no pain thus far and couldn't be happier. With the stitches, I don't have to worry about dry socket, or losing the clot. I will update as I progress until the final procedure is done. UDATE...two weeks: went for my follow up. Everything is great. I'm all healed up with no pain at all. I forget the the implant is even there. Update: 3 months...I now have my implant crown. It's amazing. Great work. Enduring went so well, I decided to have a couple of my off colored crowns redone, and comprehensive exam revealex two cavities. Well, one visit, and done!! Cavities, filled crowns off, temporary crowns on, and I am very happy with all the work done.

As someone with a lot of dental trauma and anxiety they do their best to keep my mind at ease and not make me feel like I am being judged. They also can always get me scheduled in a timely manner so I am never waiting too long to get in. Really appreciate all they have done to help me get my teeth back in order!

Positive experience: I'll start by saying this was my second visit to this location, and I may be back- but likely only for simple, straightforward needs in the future. Additionally, while they do accept my insurance, that first visit didn't entirely live up to the percentages I was supposed to be paying for an in-network dentist. Today was unfortunately a very different experience. I snapped a very visible front tooth pretty badly that unfortunately had too much damage to be restored. The only option for replacement that was given to me was an implant or flipper. Unfortunate but it happens when you have a lot of dental damage. However I didn't have the work completed here after all, for a couple of reasons. Despite their office fee breakdown very clearly stating that implants can be covered by certain PPO plans up to 80% (and their statements about the importance of transparency..) I very quickly learned that they actually refuse to bill implants through insurance...and an earlier review notes that they even use their own billing codes that make it so you can't bill them through insurance after the fact (which thankfully is a theory I wont be testing). I accepted that hit and figured out how to pay for it and expressed that it was very important to me to not leave with a front tooth missing that day. We discussed what would happen after the implant and options for a temporary tooth there were, from an essex retainer to a temporary crown. I expressed concern with the inability to eat wearing the essex and fear about snapping it due to daytime bruxism and clenching. Ultimately no real answers could be given on the likelihood of that or how to protect the piece. I was even told that if I wasnt comfortable with the treatments there I could choose somewhere else to go and had to explain that it wasnt lack of comfort it was a need for information. I was still ready to move forward after some emotions and a walk outside to discuss the situation with a trusted party (shoutout to the staff here as they were very kind and understanding as I had a mini mental breakdown for a moment trying to figure out how to proceed). Then as we are finalizing things I learn that it would only be a SCAN for the essex retainer and a 2 week waiting period before I could have anything placed in that hole because despite the fact that it was discussed as an option i was then told they don't do temporary crowns at that location and there was nothing they could do. That was when I left. I went elsewhere where the same prognosis was made but a bridge was recommended over an implant for a variety of reasons. It cost a lot more unfortunately, but I was listened to and my concerns addressed without any issue with my most important concerns given appropriate space, and hopefully can get some assistance through my insurance in post even though this was out of network. VERY CURIOUS however why this service that WOULD have been covered by insurance at the appointment through Westar was never even presented as an option? This entire appointment was the opposite of open transparancy and while I am so grateful for that first experience, I will absolutely weigh my options in the future rather than this being my first choice.

Fantastic experience: Always a warm and welcoming experience. I was super anxious at the beginning but the team here are so nice and made me feel at ease. I never felt judged and all concerns have always been answered. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I really liked going here at first. I had a dental emergency and they were able to get me in and perform an extraction. So I started scheduling with Dr. O. The second cleaning I had there were a bunch of extra charges for things I had not asked for. It was at that moment I realized the office upcharhes everything. They tried to give me dirty safety glasses to wear. I politely declined. I wore my glasses instead. They started off my visit by telling me my appointment had been canceled because they dont have my confirmation. After having several cavities repaired by Dr. Amin I've had issues with the repair work falling apart. I was told I needed a mouth guard and asked to sign a document that I was declining the guard. I have since been able to obtain a more cost effective guard. Never received any paperwork regarding what I was signing. Dr. Amin also told me they wouldn't be able to fix any additional issues for free in the future and I would be charged to have it fixed again. IT had only been a few days and I strongly feel she didn't do the procedure correctly. I understand dentist offices have multiple dentists on staff at places like this, but I'm definitely looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have been here 2x now, and I have had the best experience once again! Went in for a root canal and everything went smooth. It was peaceful and I didn’t feel a thing. Was anxious when I walked in, and I’m walking out feeling more confident than ever. I love this dentist place!! The atmosphere and just everyone is so welcoming and friendly! Fantastic experience: I called at 3:52pm by 415 I was already in a seat getting my filling taken care of. It was done same day unfortunately it is on my front tooth so I’ve dealt with it numerous of times before, but the experience with Dr. O Was close to none he was very quick very precise and very clean. Over the years of going to the dentist I’ve never had an experience like this one. He was truly amazing thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: We initially started coming here after my husband needed to get some emergency dental work after years of avoiding the dentist after a poor experience when he was younger. Dr. Oh and his team have completely changed that for him, they didn't make him feel shamed and helped him get his oral health back in shape. Since then, we come here with our kids too, and the staff have done amazing with them. My son is even excited about going to the dentist, something I always dreaded as a child. We are very happy here at Westar Dental!

Fantastic experience: I had 3 of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. O and his team a month ago. The procedure went smooth and they kept me extremely comfortable. I highly recommend to anyone trying to figure out the next step for wisdom teeth extraction to consider Westar as one of your options. They also worked with my insurance to keep costs affordable. They then scheduled me for a follow up and teeth cleaning. I have to give a shout out to Josh. He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, friendly, and explained in detail many questions and concerns I have had for years. (Drew at the front desk keeps things rolling.) Needless to say, I have been really impressed and happy with the care I have recieved thus far.

Negative experience: I made an emergency appointment, they told me i needed dental work done. The dr told me he was “too busy” to fix my dental emergency and told me i needed to make another appointment to fix it. They had nothing available and told me to call them when my schedule was opened. I was so upset and left in pain. I will never go back here again !!!!

Fantastic experience: By far one of the best dentists I have ever been to in a long time. I had a tooth that broke over the weekend and by Sunday afternoon the pain was unbearable. They not only managed to see me on a Sunday before they closed but pulled the tooth and sent me home feeling a million times better. They were incredibly friendly, patient, and quick. As someone who is terrified of dentists, this place made me feel comfortable. They even took my insurance on a weekend so I could afford to go. Other "emergency dentist" make you pay everything up front and have your insurance reimburse you but not these folks. I will forever be grateful for this amazing team and clinic.

Positive experience: Updated from 5 stars to 1. Staff here were great however, I had a procedure done in December and was significantly overcharged—by over $1,700—despite my insurance clearly outlining a much lower patient responsibility. After calling the office, they admitted the mistake and told me a refund would be issued. It’s now been months, and I’ve followed up multiple times via phone and email. I was told the issue was “forwarded” but still have no refund and no clear update. I work full-time and can’t call during their business hours, so I’ve left voicemails without a response. This has been frustrating and disappointing, especially considering how long it has dragged on. If you’re considering treatment here, double-check your insurance paperwork and stay on top of the billing—they clearly don’t. My procedure was done in December and I still have not had this corrected. Update: Has been corrected 4/26/25.

Negative experience: Charged $75 cancellation fee. They sent a text reminder of the appointment exactly 48 hours before the appointment was to start. Forgot I was going to be out of town for Easter. I called right after I got the text to cancel/reschedule. Was told that because the appointment is less than 48 hours away (46 hours when I called) that I would be charged a fee. Sure keep the $, I’ll go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office is so wonderful. They answered all of my questions and made my wisdom teeth removal seamless (especially for someone who put it off for years).

Negative experience: If I could give a zero star I would. Dr. Amin was great and tried to help with my anxiety. But Dr. Oh never even spoke to me. When I called with concerns I was told I’d get a call back later and then I had to call again. I spoke with Dr. Amin but it was Dr. Oh and Dr. Oh didn’t say anything to be before taking my wisdom teeth out. I was also not prescribe appropriate pain medication and now I’m in the ER all night. Worst experience and could have been avoided I should have stuck to my gut when I felt something was off when he wouldn’t make time to talk about the procedure or the after procedure

Negative experience: UPDATE!! Frauds! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! They told me that they don't send in the claim forms for implants. I asked if I could submit my own form, which they recommended that I do instead. I paid over $5000 out of pocket and went through the process to submit my form only for them to give me false codes. Once I realized that I didn't get reimbursed from my insurance, I was advised by the office that they do not provide real codes for reimbursement. They then proceeded to harass me for payment and threatened to send me to collections. I later confirmed with billing that it was for work that was NEVER scheduled or completed. Billing is a joke and so is this practice!! Oh and they spam you all day every day the first few days after service for a google review. Dr.Oh and his staff have been nothing but amazing. I had a significant amount of work done and it has been a pain free experience every step of the way. Highly recommend Westar Dental!

Negative experience: Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged to no avail and so I went behind the desk to the exam rooms to find someone. Then they charged a processing fee to use a credit card! How very Walmart of them. I dont trust businesses who charge a processing fee. It's so shortsighted. And the music they had blasting was hip hop. Clearly they don't know their audience.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal care here! I am a newer patient that came in a couple weeks ago due to cracking a tooth. Turned out it was a wisdom tooth and 3/4s of them had to come out. I have seen Dr. Amin twice and she has been fantastic. Today, for the extraction, I saw Dr. Oh and he was very professional and caring during the whole procedure. The IV sedation was great and he made sure I was comfortable during the whole thing which was done very quickly and efficiently! The only thing I would say is give the patient more aftercare info after they’re done or give it to their driver. I signed an electronic paper when I got there that mentioned things about the first hour, etc, but with the med I took in the morning before getting there and then the actual sedation itself there’s no way I’ll remember any of that regardless, I would 10/10 recommend this dental office and their amazing staff but I’m glad I don’t need to do THAT procedure again!

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful. A few months back I had an emergency root canal and it was so painful and scary but he was gentle and kind. The anesthesiologist was wonderful too, I was completely numb. Tooth problems can be horrible and embarrassing but every staff member here from the front desk to the dental hygienist to the dentist himself has been kind and so thoughtful! I recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Westar dental!! All of the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hygienist, Josh, performed a thorough cleaning with great skill ensuring my gums were not irritated. They also use the most modern equipment so x-rays are quick and easy, and there is even a TV on the ceiling right above the chair that you can watch during your cleaning or procedure!!

I scheduled online early early Sunday morning for a dental emergency and was able to get in the same day . To be honest i didn’t even realize they were done , that’s how fast and painless it was and my mouth already feels better minus the obvious swelling from the extraction . Fantastic experience: I am changing my review. Originally I gave a less than stellar review because I paid with a charge card and they charged me the 2% that the vendor pays. If I had used a debit card there is no fee.Sidebar: charge cards have better fraud protection so that’s why I don’t have a debit card. Anyway I complained on Google and they refunded the 2% I previously paid. However I believe that they will pass the 2% vendor fee to you if you use a charge card. So either use a debit card. I don’t know if they take ckecks so plan ahead & call them before your appointments.

I had top shelf care and service. I can't say enough positive things about thos office. This will be my dentist moving forward.

Negative experience: My wife was having a dental emergency. Their online said accepted walk-ins. Called when I was 45 minutes out as a courtesy in case there were any issues. I was told I would be called back within 15 minutes. Never got a call. Arrived and was turned away at reception for a "full schedule". They were aware of my call and who I was, but didn't call me back.

Fantastic experience: I needed urgent dental treatment during the holidays while my usual dentist was closed. Westar allowed me to make an appointment online, and I was in and out very quickly! Everyone working there was extremely nice and organized, making it an easy and relieving visit for me.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Westar Dental is very friendly & professional. They made me feel at ease and very. comfortable. A judgement free dental office. I am just unable to afford any services at Westar myself. So I am forced, yet again, to find more affordable options for myself. This country has a healthcare system based on greed and not the citizens or patients. Not Westar’s fault. It’s unfortunately just how it is in this country.

Positive experience: 12/18/24 EDIT: My issue was resolved via email! They apologized for the billing discrepancy and accepted my payment at the time of service as final. They were very thorough with the explanation of what happened and put my mind at ease. Original: I was charged an amount at time of service with no indication that I would owe an additional balance afterwards (which goes against my dental insurance's policy with in-network providers which they are). However, they did just that and sent me a bill a day ago with a surprise balance. They already messed up my billing the first time around and sent me a bill with a more than a thousand dollar balance. The service was great but I cannot recommend this place due to the abysmal billing department experience.

Fantastic experience: I was lost for several minutes, the customer service representative for West Star dental was exceptional. I tried to cancel since I was running late; her remarks were" no, I'll see you when you arrive". I did arrive, and she noticed I was there. All of the staff was pleasant, trained well and prepared to speak with customers about the bill and credit. The doctor truly won me over. Dental treatment is not easy. My encounter with her easy and not alienating. Prices are reasonable.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend!!!!!! I am from Texas up here for work and I work 13 days on one day off on Sundays. I called on Sunday at 9 am and was able to get my problem fixed on the Same Day! This is a phenomenal team that work together amazing and you can tell they really enjoy their job and want to help people by the way they answered all of my questions and talked to me about my options that I had about my infected root canal that I had gotten done back home a couple years back. I’m very thankful for their patience and hard work, very appreciative! Definitely try them out! All around a wonderful experience. And that is a lot coming from me because dentist office give me a bit of anxiety but I didn’t feel that here ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by the impeccable level of customer service at this practice. Staff were professional, well-organized, and welcoming. There was clarity and transparency in the exchange of information about available treatment options.

Negative experience: Upon arrival and check-in I advised that I had a full set of mouth x-rays done at another dentist and would have those sent to the office, but needed the address to send them. She said don't worry about it and they will take take care of it. It took about 25 minutes wait because I was told she was getting insurance coverage and billing and that I would not be seen until I paid in advance. Charged me about $65.00. Usually my copay is about $35.00. No one could explain the charge completely and explained only parts. I should have just walked away, but I proceeded with the appointment and they took some x-rays and did a 'cleaning'. Later they billed insurance for full mouth x-rays and of course insurance denied payment because, as I informed them prior to any work being done, that x-rays were available which were previously covered. Now they are billing me directly for redundant x-rays taken and not covered. Insurance would have covered bite wings, but not full mouth. Not transparent about anything at all. Called the billing office multiple times and goes to voice mail. Not paying for the work you did after I told you upon arrival that the recent x-rays were readily available and I did not approve paying more for duplicate information. Seems billing is a bit unethical at best as I still don't understand understand why charged so much more than others charged for copay. Never did get to to meet Dr Oh, someone else came in and did the 'exam'

Fantastic experience: I had a very bad wisdom tooth pain on Saturday night. I reached out to westar dental clinic and they were able to get me in on Sunday afternoon. Dr. Oh extracted my wisdom tooth on the same day itself. He’s the best dentist I have ever met. Very knowledgeable and smart. All other staff is also very nice! Thank you Westar dental clinic. Thank you so much Dr. Oh. Life is so easy when you have a great Dentist available on weekends. Dr. Oh is a gem!! My experience is excellent!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Westar Dental. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I recently switched my children also. They absolutely loved all of the staff. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a new dental office!

Fantastic experience: One of the best dentist offices I’ve ever visited. Dr Oh helped me with an extraction and implant on a Saturday emergency appointment. Dr Amir saw me several times for 2 crowns and 2 fillings. She’s amazing! The office staff is awesome too… everyone in the office that I have encountered has been very patient, kind, courteous, and understanding. Very clean facility and made me feel very comfortable and that’s never happened at a dental office before. My kids have been seen for cleanings as well… all great experiences!

Fantastic experience: I have to say that I was very happy with my experience. I had had a lot of work done at a dentists office on a Thursday and I woke up Thursday with one of my tooth split in two. Not only did they get me in the same day I called but did the procedure same day and then never had any anxiety with how professional and nice the team was. I even switched my care because of the service!

Fantastic experience: The staff were amazing! I was had so much anxiety walking in and it went all away almost instantly! I had an emergency visit on a Sunday! And was treated right then! Forever thankful!

Positive experience: I'm so glad they are open on Saturdays. I was able to call ahead and make a late appointment for an impacted wisdom tooth. Their staff had my problem identified quickly and were able to perform the extraction the same day. Due to this, they will be handling all of my dental needs in the future.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in the door I knew this was an amazing facility. The staff was genuine and inviting. First time to the dentist in a long time and I had great conversations and information given to me. Every procedure they talked me through what they were doing and encouraged me. Tools, staff and interior was very clean. My Doctor Amin was very open, honest and knowledgeable with the ability to explain to me the diagnosis. I cannot wait to go back for my next cleaning. My mouth has never felt so clean!

Fantastic experience: I waited FIFTEEN years to get my wisdom teeth out because of my fear of the dentist. Inevitably, I ended up with pain more than I could bear and got into Westar same day. They got me scheduled for an extraction within 30 minutes or so. They have the option for sedation but I was awake with numbing and honestly, I’ve never had an easier dental experience. Who would have thought an emergency wisdom tooth extraction would be my most positive dental experience?!? Not me! But I was blown away by the friendly and professional staff. The procedure took FIVE minutes and was done before I knew it.
