Negative experience: Pretty convinced this place is a scam. went in for a routine cleaning and they told me I need a “deep cleaning” which isn’t covered by insurance- then presented me with a $1300 bill for it!!! The entire procedure only took about 20 minutes, too… ridiculous. As a young mom on Medicaid, it’s really disappointing to feel like this office is taking advantage of low income patients like this. Will not be returning

Fantastic experience: We need more rating stars for Dr. Dental they are amazing!!! well my experience was , Dr, Ali was great , & Dr.julius promised me , he would make me smile again , the staff are genuine and professional. Dr Julius really took the time out and made sure , that my teeth looked amazing. It was a journey , almost there , but overall . I’m happy with my teeth and progress. Thanks, to the staff , Angie & Julie for calling to confirm my appointments … dr in east haven overall a great dentist , for cleanings extractions, & partials .. they offer deep cleaning as well

Negative experience: Horrific. Used scare tactics to try and sell me the deep cleaning which costs $1,700 and insurance conveniently “doesn’t cover.” Not to mention I booked a cleaning, and no cleaning ever took place! Just an x-ray and a hygienist telling me that I needed urgent deep cleaning, then sent me out door. Went to another reputable dentist the day after and was told no such thing was necessary. Disgusting sales tactics, do not go here.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I’ve been to the people are very nice

Negative experience: I had the worst experience ever I came in gave the lady my sons names and she said they called me several times to confirm and if I dont confirm they cancel appts which I didnt know so yes I was very upset because I dont live close to the dental place I spent 30 on a uber there for that lady to tell me that I was very upset then I ask her if there a supervisor above her that I can talk to ans she said no there no manager there which I found to be strange so I said I won't be coming back there because I didnt like the way the lady came at me as if I knew the policy of the dental place will not be returning back at all and she could of gave me some type of option but she basically acted like she didnt care what so ever and she was very unpolite won't be returning me or my sons

Fantastic experience: I came in as an emergency visit on 12/29/25 to see Dr.Julius Yunayev. He was very kind, got right to the root of the problem (no pun intended). I’ve been in excruciating pain, and glad to have been treated here with great staff and dental hygienists as well. The medical team in the front were very kind, and Angela that did my X-rays was super sweet. Happy New Year Everyone! Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Iam very unhappy This is the second time the doctors at East Haven Dental did not treat my tooth and only wasted my time. The doctors and reception staff did not understand my tooth problem and did not provide proper treatment.

Fantastic experience: My son had his wisdom teeth extracted today the oral surgery was great and very professional! My son had minimal discomfort.

Negative experience: You confirm your appointment verbally. But if you don’t answer the numerous confirmation calls they give you they cancel your appointment. How many confirmation you need. After they cancel my appointment last minute 2 weeks prior very unprofessional.

Negative experience: Horrible they gave me estimates to fix all my teeth almost $16 k just for cleaning $1300 who is going to pay that much that’s just ridiculous I don’t even know who could afford this they lost their minds Ok update I gave in and did the cleaning for my teeth for $1300 it was a big mistake the hygienist in the office is very rude and did bad job cleaning my teeth for freaking $1300 what is this I went to specialist in Europe and they told me who ever clean my teeth and told me I have gingivitis disease in my mouth is a joke they do not know what they doing I won’t be returning to this office I gave another try but heck no and got rip off for $1300 for bad cleaning that’s not even 1 star zero stars all the way this whole office is a joke …

Negative experience: I want to start by saying that this Dr. Dental location has always been my favorite. I don’t trust just anyone with my teeth or my child’s, and I’ve consistently recommended this office to others. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. After getting my X-ray, the woman who examined my teeth became condescending when I was being honest with her. It is unprofessional and disrespectful to belittle patients or speak down to them. She claimed she was “educating” me, but instead she attempted to use fear to make her point. There was no reason for her to mention the possibility of bone loss if that wasn’t actually a concern. Stick to the facts, stay on topic, and do your job without creating unnecessary alarm. I told her that I did not appreciate her approach, and she responded by saying, “I educate all my patients that way.” I wasn’t asking for justification—I was simply letting her know that I would not tolerate being spoken to in a condescending manner and that I no longer felt comfortable with her examining my teeth. The entire interaction was very unprofessional.

Negative experience: I thought it was strange at first but after reading all the reviews- to me this place feels like a scam. I go in for a cleaning as well & they refuse to do any work. Stated i needed a deep cleaning. Smh. Waste of time.

Negative experience: Place is a fraud went in for a cleaning came out in less than 10 minutes with no cleaning told I was needed a deep cleaning which insurance doesn't cover $1,700. And they charged in the insurance. They didn't to the job that I went in for. I don't recommend highly.....

Negative experience: This place absolutely sucks. They're mean I've gotten crazy infections since I've been there. Will never go back again. I needed antibiotics for a really bad tooth infection...they never called it in. Ended up having to the emergency room for help. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not fo there. They dont help at all

Negative experience: I’m very unhappy with my visit!! I came in because I needed my chipped front tooth repaired and also had a tooth that was hurting and needed to be pulled. Instead of helping with those more urgent issues they refused to do any other work except a deep cleaning. They explained that the deep cleaning isn’t covered by my insurance and would cost me out of pocket and I do understand that but I am disappointed why wouldn’t address the problems I actually came in for that for sure could have been done without the deep cleaning first. Sadly they were more focused about charging for extra procedures than actually addressing patients concerns. I left without the help I needed!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dental and his staff were absolutely outstanding with me. I called in at 11am because of a tooth I had just broken. They got me in same day AND did the work vs just checking it out and scheduling me for another day. I hadn’t had work done in my mouth for quite sometime so I was somewhat of an anxious mess. The staff and doctor took such great care of me the whole time from start to finish. The procedure did take a little time because of the break, I did start to have a mini anxiety attack but they kept me calm and reassured me that everything was okay. Doctor was gentle and kind and I am so thankful for them! I will definitely be returning and using them as my new dentist!

Positive experience: Myra at front desk is 1st rate. The assistants who did my xrays were really efficient and pleasant. Doctor Chen is smart and explained everything well. Linda evaluated my gums, and is performing my deep cleaning, She is a pro, and really good to wofk with. I'm glad to be a patient here.

Negative experience: Check insurance bill after the visits! I later found that Cigna PPO plan is out of network here. I could only see the doctor on Saturdays for cavities, filling and exam. Easy to get a cleaning done because they had many hygienists but only 1 doctor available.

Negative experience: Horrible n wit no care for the well being of the patient ..if my crown is broken n got an infection why was he so adamant about pulling my muller out when .. n got upset when I told him absolutely not !! ...

Positive experience: 2 things: 1) disappointing to be informed that my appt was cancelled even after I confirmed it multiple times after receiving a text as a reminder. I hit the link on the text and confirmed. I subsequently received a text verification confirming my appt only to report to my scheduled appt on time. The nice front desk woman told that my text confirmation and verification was not enough. She told me that texts don’t confirm an appt and it is Dr Dental policy to require a verbal phone confirmation??? 2) I was told by my hygienist that my cleaning was only a cleaning and a licensed dentist would not be performing an exam?? This is the first time in my life that a dental exam was not performed by the practicing dentist on the day of a cleaning. Was this a mistake? I look forward to hearing back. Thank you, James Waller

Negative experience: Had me waiting for 3 hours to break my tooth more and then say I’m not going to finish and you can take pain medicine for 2 weeks for someone to fix her mistakes then while I’m in pain from her worsening my tooth she takes 3 hours to put in prescription. But the nurses and the reception are great people

Fantastic experience: I came here a few years ago to get a root canal, they did really well and I had no complications. I actually came back for my wisdom teeth to be removed yesterday! The whole procedure was very fast, they do not put you to sleep but they make sure your mouth is entirely numb.. i felt no pain just pressure, at times I expected a violent pop but that never came! The only time you are in slight “pain” is when they’re injecting your mouth with the local anesthesia, but that is over within seconds, and if you need more your mouth is numb enough where you don’t feel any pain. At first I was scared because I was alone, but I told the surgeon and he was more than understanding and talked me through every step! I know a lot of people have mixed experiences here but overall my experience was a 8.5/10, I would get dental work done here again.

Negative experience: Don't use Dr Dental!!!! They pulled out my tooth and left a piece in my gum and have neglected to fix the problem nor take responsibility of their mistake. Meanwhile it's been a month that I've been in pain and everytime I call the office they give me excuses that my insurance is maxed out. This is their mistake and has nothing to do with my insurance. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Negative experience: Do not absolutely Do not thrust this place they told me I have a bacteria in my mouth that they couldn't do any work not even a fill in. but at the same time they was waiting for my crown to be approved once it approved they told me to come in so they can do the work I want to the office to talk to them I told them what they told me they couldn't do any work not even a cleaning or a fill in cuz of the bacteria but somehow you guys want to the crown the lady told me it's ok it's just gonna bleed alot she saying like it's a normal thing I tell why because from the crown they will make a lot of money that's why they want it to do it .they don't care about your health they keep twisting words they even pull 2300$ to clean the bacteria i guess if the price is higher all the sudden bacteria dissappears and crown is over 5 thousand dollars that's why they want it to do it.its a shame never going back I hope someone in higher level will read this and checks this scamming place

Fantastic experience: The five stars are ONLY for the staff members I dealt with at my visit (office manager, dental assistant and doctor) and their care. They were kind, apologetic, professional in my treatment, and considerate of my disclosed anxiety. The place is a hot mess express. First, this appointment was a reschedule from one prior in which I showed up and was then told that the hygienist was not in. Guess what? She wasn't in again today! Starting with the communication system: I must have electronically confirmed my appointment 5 times only to get a message saying I must call and confirm with a live person. I called, and was switched to an automated voice saying I'd receive a text immediately to confirm. THAT method showed "no appointment based on any information provided. I ended up taking a call during a work meeting when I got a live confirmation call from the office the day before. When I had gone to my first visit, the office manager took all of my insurance information. (Luckily, I overheard her on the phone trying to verify that I had "out of network" coverage. When I learned I couldn't even get the cleaning, I rescheduled the exam as well and made my appointment with a doctor who is "in network". Half-way through the rescheduled visit, the (alternate) office manager visited my exam room to say that there was no insurance information on file. I gave her my card and said, "but Dr. A. IS 'in network', right?" She won't know until Monday when she calls my insurance company. The setting: The waiting room is okay (bare bones); and you're likely to spend some time there. (As requested, I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment time and waited for about 30 minutes to be seen.) The procedure rooms are sorely lacking in many ways. There are no doors, so you hear everything in all the other rooms (children crying, doctor consults, other patients' concerns). The rooms are small and cluttered and look like they haven't been renovated in YEARS (dingy walls and floors, old signages, notes, posters taped to the walls, peeling labels on cabinets and drawers, extension cords and cords running here and there, etc.). The first room I was in, the exam light didn't work. The dental assistant used the doctor's iPhone light for the exam. Thankfully, another room with a working light opened up before my actual procedure was performed. The staff on this day were literally running from room to room, troubleshooting issues with scheduling, missing staff members, nonfunctioning equipment, etc. I was told several times, "it's not usually like this"...We shall see. So...why didn't I leave? 1. Again, the staff I encountered were kind, considerate and seemingly competent. 2. Having pretty high anxiety about dental care in general, it took me several years to even get myself to go. 3. All instruments were clearly sanitized and sealed prior to use. 4. The doctor was no nonsense and efficient: "Since you're here, let's get xyz done and then have you come back for the cleaning. For these reasons, I will go back (pending the outcome of my insurance check and subsequent care plan) and give it another go. It's very convenient and predominantly "one-stop-shopping" for dental care. I just hope they can make the setting itself a bit more professional.

Negative experience: Omg East Haven office sucks they cancels 6x and then 10 minutes before my Fiance appointment they call and they his insurance isn't active when I had 3 approval letter from the insurance company in front of me dated 7 days ago and I call the insurance and they told me he account was active and she didnt no what they were talking about. DONT RECOMMEND Dr dental not even 1%

Negative experience: Starting to become a headache bringing my kids here. I made appt for 1040. Day before appt I was asked if I could come in at 1020 instead. My kid had an appt for a cleaning and exam. My daughter came out after the quickest cleaning that any of my kids ever had. ( not even 10 mins) My daughter tells me that she has to come back for exam. I asked why because that was suppose to be included with the appt. I was told to wait and could be a while or come back like rearrange my schedule to do something that should’ve been done all at once. The dentist would not be able to do the exam because he was in a procedure. A procedure they I’m sure double booked because of the change in time and how fast they did my daughters cleaning. I was met with attitude by the hygienist when I asked about why the appt be double booked and now my child who needs this done before she leaves to college has to now reschedule. I was told that she doesn’t get and exam and when I told her I never scheduled a cleaning without an exam included she then contradicted what she said and now says it is included but she got what we came for. I then told her no we didn’t because of course the exam didn’t get done. Now she doesn’t want to speak to me anymore and has nothing else to say. I call regularly to make appts and either no one answers or some stupid txt prompt comes to your phone tells you to make appt and after filling everything online it then tells me that my child is not a patient.

Positive experience: They are nice women but I didn't like how after they numbed me up for a procedure to then ask me if I wanted to do it will be this amount of money. I would have preferred to know pricing before going through the numbing process and being left with no choice.

Negative experience: They called and asked me to come in an hour earlier for my oral surgety.due to a schedule change. I agreed. When I got there I had to wait 1.5 hours. Anxiety building. When they took my blood pressure it was too high for the procedure. I was sent home with no treatment. They wondered why it was high. Really? Mind you I take NO blood pressure mends. Many patients kept approaching the desk because they were waiting excessively long periods of time for regular routine procedures.

Negative experience: Went in for an emergency exam for my 5 year old. They did an x-ray, looked at the tooth, told me he had a cavity and then referred us to another pediatric dentist. They still charged us even though they did nothing to help him or to alleviate any of his pain. Do not go here for kids.

Positive experience: The front desk employees were really nice, and professional. I didn’t feel rushed along. I also didn’t have to wait that long (I had an appointment). I believe they do take walk ins though. The dental tech that took me back to the room was really nice as well, and the dentist too. It was overall a good experience. I will be happy to go back and I have ALWAYS hated having to go to the dentist lol. I recommend this place.

Negative experience: Zero star. They say yes to everything until you make an appointment and come to the clinic. Once you are there, you are not a patient but a customer. They deny everything they have said and make sure you sit there for at least an hour despite the appointment. Oh I forgot to mention the worst front desk I have ever talked to in my life. I will not go there again and don't recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have always been nervous when I have a dentist appointment. I can truly say the staff when you are arrive is friendly and welcoming. The dentist or assistant that serviced me on both of my recent appointments was the great. She was thoughtful and caring and very informative my nerves made me to forget to ask her name you can look at my record and see. I really appreciated the way she handled her patients well I can only speak for me but she rock.

Fantastic experience: The office is calm/clean. Staff makes me/patients feel relaxed & comfortable. Julia and Mardi are very friendly, courteous and well organized. They are prompt in confirming my appointments. Dr Chang is extremely courteous, professional, trustworthy, and easy to talk to about regarding my care and she makes my visit a pleasant visit. Dr Chang’s attention to detail in treating my teeth are great. The office is well-lit and well-maintained by Julia and Márdi. The entire staff, along with the young lady who did teeth compressions are wonderful. The equipment to treat my complicated dental health ailments are always clean. It was a very smooth experience, and the environment always put me at ease the entire time I am there

Negative experience: I had my appointment at a scheduled time and they asked me to go 3 hours early and when I went I had to wait 1 hour for my turn, the secretaries told me that the wait is always 1 hour, very unprofessional, the dentists 5 stars but the appointment schedule and wait time 0 stars

Then we had to wait for 2+ hours to be seen to be told can’t pull tooth because blood pressure too high. Of course it is. This place will stress anyone out. Don’t get me on the help. They are the worst!!!!!! Sloppy and rude. Eating lunch on the front desk is not professional at all but doesn’t matter -none of them are profession to begin with.

Negative experience: Zero star. Do not come here if you value your time, energy, or gas. This place is completely disorganized. They send you appointment offers, confirm them over text or phone, and then cancel or reject you when you show up—without warning. I’ve had multiple appointments confirmed, and when I arrived, I was told they don’t do cleanings on Fridays—something they never mentioned before. The staff in the office doesn’t match what you’re told on the phone. There’s clearly no proper communication between the people who book appointments and the people who actually provide the service. It’s a mess. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that respects patients’ time and communicates clearly.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this office prices are unrealistic. I had a A filling which cost me out-of-pocket $500 fell out within three weeks then I went to another dentist who said the filling was only a temporary filling I need to go back to the doctor who filled my tooth ps worst thing was the denial Good job that was in that tooth was actually in fact a temporary filling. I approached Doctor Dental which took me over six months to get into an appointment, office manager kept not answering me finally went today. And the doctor said oh no, your filling is not out. Surely the filling is not there at this point I would not recommend dishonest people at Doctor Dental it’s very disheartening when all you’re trying to do is repair your teeth and ask them to take accountability for their work

Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional …their ppl at the front desk always have an attitude and they treat their patients in a rude manner consistently scheduling appts but don’t answer the phone when needed and notorious for wasting ppls time I will never return here for services and the public should do the same and save yourself the headache … lets not to mention them scheduling overlapping appts causing the waiting room to not even have a place to sit …. Negative experience: They try to get people to spend extra money! I was seen in office and left a message over 2 months ago for doctor to give me a call. I am having pain in my mouth/jaw and have not received a call back. Left several messages and still no response! Now I have to find another dentist because they do not care to treat me with respect and dignity! Don’t go!!!

Fantastic experience: I must admit I was kind of rushing them today, and as always they were amazing. From the front desk to the back they always treat me well. Even when I'm in a hurry. Thank you all for what you do. The only place I'll go.

Negative experience: This company should just pack it up. First off they harass you about 20 times a day to make an appointment, then you make the appointment and they harass you 20 more times to Comfirm the appointment by text and calling them or they cancel it and they tell you when you get there your appointment was canceled because you didn't confirm it. So next time you confirm it 20 times by text, call and leaves messages because no one ever answers the phone, so I sit pushing redial until an actual person answers and I confirm again and ask the person if my appointment is confirmed. Then I go to have my teeth done, they tell me I'll have to pay $44 which I said was fine, then months later they just sent me a bill for $810 yet I haven't gone to any dental appointments. This is the worst Dental business I've ever dealt with. You have to beg them to come to their Dental clinic by confirming with your phone 20 times pushing C then calling leaving messages confirming also, then talking to a live person to let them know you confirm again, then they charge you $810 when you have Dental insurance. This Dental office isn't worth the trouble or the made up billing, don't they have someone who bills the insurance companies? Between having to confirm with their Drill Sargent 10 times the day before you go so your appointment isn't canceled and the billing situation it's not worth it. No one has time for that

Negative experience: Already had a few previous negative experiences regarding miscommunication between their office staff and how their front desk handled the issues, but today an incident happened that was very unprofessional and disappointing. I called exactly a week ago from today to schedule an appointment for as soon as possible, as I was in pain. An appointment was scheduled for a little over a week later, which is now supposed to be in 2 days from writing this. That was the “soonest they had available”, even though it was considered emergency. Since then I have received more than one confirmation message including one earlier today, that asked me to confirm that I would be there… I have also already requested the time off from work. Then I received a call a few hours after the confirmation text, from a woman at the front desk saying that they want to get me in for a cleaning and X-rays, but they would need to reschedule my emergency appointment. I asked her why and she said “someone just placed you anywhere on the schedule without confirming with the office”, which I thought was unprofessional in itself, but then I asked why I was not notified sooner, seeing as a whole week has passed since booking. The lady on the phone responded with a very nasty tone and attitude. Saying that, “that’s just how they put people on the schedule and the soonest I could be seen is next week”. I, of course, told her to just cancel the appointment as I can look for another dentist that could see me sooner. The main problem here is, they are never organized, there is always a lack of communication between their staff, and I’ve had more than one experience with a front desk receptionist who has had an unwarranted supercilious and generally unprofessional attitude. Their front desk staff should be better trained in communication.

Fantastic experience: I went to extract a tooth. Place very clean. Staff very friendly. Procedure was comfortable. Dr informed me of everything he was going to do. Dr’s assistant made me feel comfortable at all times.

Positive experience: Been going here for years, Everyone’s very nice there. I can’t afford the deep cleaning they recommend so I can’t get a cleaning. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Negative experience: I made an appointment together with my wife 6 months ago and somehow my appointment was not in the system so l had to wait 1 and a half hours to be seen.I soon will be looking for a new dentist!

Negative experience: As someone who works in a medical office the total incompetency of this place is appalling. No one answers the phone ever BUT they'll call you a million times to confirm your appointment. My first appointment a week prior to this one was cancelled by staff and rescheduled due to the dr needing appointments moved (per the front desk). Then with my new appointment scheduled the front desk staff called me the morning of my appointment to tell me they were cancelling my appointment since they couldn't get ahold of me. I told the woman i left multiple messages confirming my appointment days in advance as well as confirmed via the email prompt and via text. She told me text confirmations don't guarantee confirmation... okay so why do you have a text confirmation system if it essentially means nothing? Every message i left i asked for a phone call back, and never got one. The only time they call is when they want to confirm or cancel appointments and god forbid you miss that call. I show up for my appointment and the hygienist proceeds to tell me they cannot see me today since they don't have any of my records from where i last went, how funny considering i had my records faxed over to them well over a week prior to my appointment. She told me the front desk and her are two separate entities and she doesn't have any of my records so there's nothing she can do. That entire issue could have been rectified had she walked up to the front desk and ask them to 1. Look through their faxes or 2. By asking them to call my previous dr office and get the records resent. (Which as someone who works in medical office I've done both of these things numerous times for patients!) There's no excuse for the way this place functions, the patient care level is below zero & the establishment itself smells like a dirty bathroom. Stay away from this place.

Negative experience: I gave two stars cause after my son got his filling he had an allergic reaction to numbing meds they gave him for the procedure and when I contacted the dental office I couldn’t get through to the office to find out what was giving when you call you get a txt message from their online team pretending to be an automated system I do not recommend for full dental care but it’s ok for emergency I guess chose a dental group that really cares for their paternity I removed myself and my child

Fantastic experience: It was a pleasant visit from front desk to down the hall in your chair. Everyone was polite, made sure I was comfortable & answered all my questions. Then proceeded to explain the next plan of work. Extremely satisfied.

Positive experience: They are a great team, great doctors, but they always have a problem with their schedules, this is the second times when my appointment was at 12.30 , they called me around 1, but when I arrived 10 minutes late they canceled my appointment.

Negative experience: By far worse place I ever been. 1- Every appointment we had they call to reschedule or make me wait 1 hour after arrival on time. 2- my daughter was referred to get braces 2 years ago witch I pay for it, two weeks ago after a regular clean up they call me telling me they will Recommend my daughter to get Braces! Really? After a cleaning they are so stupid keep in mind my daughter still have Braces on. 3-Rude Rude Don’t give a damn attitude always. 4- stay away from this place

Negative experience: DENTAL STAR down the road is so much better. Dr. Dental they treat the patient like a number that they simply want to move along as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dental offices, but this one stands out as the best. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel right at home. Dr. Mac is a great dentist who explains everything clearly and takes the time to address any concerns you may have. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a comfortable and effective dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Recently, I've been going to doctor dental for a few weeks to get all my teeth fixed strained out. I have to say that their doctors are amazing, and their staff is really awesome. They make you feel great. Welcome and help He's any stress or actually n wire.In the operating chair lol but overall, doctor danto is a great place to get your teeth. Strained out fixed or whatever your situation is. I can't sing anything bad about them. I've had nothing but good success every time and greeting me with much love. I recommend this place for anybody really, that needs to get their teeth. Cleaned fixed, pulled, whatever the situation may be I.Highly recommend them

Negative experience: TRASHHHHHHHH THIS PLACE IS!!! Never again I’ve never ever in my 29 years living had to deal with this BS till I ended up @ dr dental smh!!! There’re very unprofessional they did mal practice on me for no reason the tooth was nice and healthy and now here I am with an infection having to deal with what’s next … you think I wanna be 29 with no side teeth! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Fantastic experience: Making appointment was easy. Staff were welcoming and kind and Dr. Patel was great. Love the large waiting room, and the desk receptionist, Mira (Myra sp?) is fantastic! She's on top of everything.

Negative experience: Avoid this place if possible! In the same strip is Dental Star you'll find a much more caring and reliable dentist. I had used Dr.Dental prior to the opening of Dental Star and the difference is profound. Dr. Dental is uncaring and the reception is outright rude and incompetent. I need to have infusionions of platelets prior to any procedures and getting Dr.Dental to help organize the dates caused several unnecessary trips to both Yale for the transfusion and then to the dentist for the procedure. Thankfully Dental Star opened and was and has been very capable of setting up the appointments and getting my dental problems finished. Also, the dentist was always pushing for options that my insurance wouldn't cover, they want your money and they don't care about your dental problems.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mack is a great Dentist!! He has a top notch bedside manner. He puts you at ease with what he's going to do, and is skilled and efficient. He talks you through the entire process while giving you the most relaxed feeling that you're in caring hands. Truly a great Dentist and a great person.

Negative experience: Made an appointment on line for a cleaning. Received a confirmation text confirming. Got here for my appointment and the office is closed. New hours posted on a sheet of paper on the door. Do you think the office could have called and let me know? Instead I left work early and rushed here to find them closed. Would never recommend this place with such incompetence and inconsiderate staff

Fantastic experience: Dr. Macarthur at Dr. Dental in East Haven is the absolute best. All around excellence, from the chair-side manner to the totally considerate and patient, explanatory approach to the work needing to be done. He saved me several unnecessary novocaine shots, and was able to treat four cavities efficiently. One of the best dentists I have ever had, and I've had dozens.
