Fantastic experience: After a year of visiting a couple other places due to wanting my slight chipped tooth fixed everyone mentioned they wouldn't do it as I should get a veneer to avoid chipping again in the future. Having a perfectly healthy tooth turned into a veneer just didn’t seem necessary. Ive had many horrible experiences in the past which has left me terrified of sitting in a dental chair… I finally headed over to Pioneer dental as they had incredible testimonies. Had a consult with them and got my tooth looking amazing again was such a simple and easy process. Youd never know it chipped! I wish i went in sooner! I love that they will work with any insurance and are very communicative during the process.

Fantastic experience: I had an infection on a tooth that has a root canal done. I called the office to get in for an emergency appointment and they fit me right in. Dr. Baugh is the best guy, he’s funny, and really informative with his patients— always makes me comfortable each time I visit. Without a doubt they are the best!

Fantastic experience: The entire Staff here is wonderful!!! I had the Blessing today to have Kenia ad my Dental Assistant. She's AMAZING! She made sure I was comfortable and felt safe during my entire root canal. She helped me walk for an xray in the middle of the procedure, kept asking through the whole time if I was ok. Fantastic experience: I worry sometimes that the fantastic people here, who take care of me, may not enjoy the same level of dental care that i receive. Can you achieve perfection working in your own mouth? Can you even work in your own mouth? Im gonna say... no. Jackie and Curtis, of 'Dr. Smith's office' fame, are truly masters of their craft. Wait until you see what these two can do for you. And kudos to Susan as well, whom i see after each visit on my way out. Billing is a thankless position. However, she always helps me when i can't understand how insurance works, Which is...every visit. Thank you Susan. These folks are my dream team. Over time, with each visit, i understand more and more why home oral health is so important. For a couple of years now, i have flossed before bed, religiously, as if the procedure itself will keep Freddy Krueger himself at bay, while i sleep. He may still get me in my dreams... but my teeth will be beautiful for the coroner identification, if they find my body. So I've got that going for me. It's just easy here. Lie back in the chair and let them make your life better. Give them a try, or go on fearing dentistry, and...Freddy? It's up to you. If I knew how to post a picture, or even what 'posting' a picture means, you'd be looking at an old guy's beautiful teeth right now. I'm sorry you missed that. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Smith for almost 24 years now. Zero complaints, obviously. His staff is fantastic and they are all personable. Karina, Addy, Ramon and Danny are all exceptional. They are the ones that I interact with most frequently. Susan is an absolute gem and honestly would not consider going to another dental office. My father has been going to Dr. Smith for even longer, and continues to go to Dr. Smith and he lives in Nevada. Favorite dentist, favorite staff, ever.

Dr. Baugh and his assistant Morgan provided an excellent experience. They explained the problem and offered solutions without trying to sell me services that I didn’t need. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I am from Georgia, but I am in Utah for work. Last night I broke my tooth that I had a filling in and I called Pioneer Valley dental first thing this morning. They were able to get me in at 8:30 AM and get another filling put in my tooth. I had an infection in my tooth and if I hadn’t gone, I would’ve probably been in a lot of pain. Luckily all I need are antibiotics and ibuprofen and a trip to see my dentist when I get home. Dr. Austin.Steffenson and the other staff were amazing. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I just left my regular 6 month dental cleaning appointment and am so happy!! Where do I even start? Our family has been going to Pioneer Valley Dental and seeing Dr. Smith since 1994! We left after 11 years because we moved further south. Later I returned when I needed a third opinion and Dr. Smith saved a tooth that others thought should be removed. I’ve been there ever since and I seriously CANNOT think of any one thing they could do to improve this business!!!! From cleanings to crowns to implants. They do amazing work!! From the moment I walk in and walk out it’s professional, peaceful, caring, helpful, fun, friendly, uplifting and down right gorgeous. I wish that every service oriented business could be this perfect!! Since 1994 I have NEVER had ANY complaint about this office and our children loved going here!! NO COMPLAINTS EVER!!….about anyone or any thing! You name it - courtesy, expertise, financially helpful, gentle, top notch dental work, listening ear, trustworthy, knowledgeable office staff…I can’t say enough good about this 10 star incredible dental office!! I do not know how they have been so consistently amazing for so many years! And on top of all this amazing professionalism I walk out with my dental goody bag and a treat coupon of my choice for keeping my appointment. That's a free lunch for me. Fantastic experience: Dr. Brodbent is literally the best! No one goes near my mouth but him! He takes care of my son as well and my son loves him! He's 3 and he let Dr. Brodbent count all his teeth! Very family friendly atmosphere! I got a root canal done and all 4 roots were curved and it was a long process but I had the best doctor there to help me the process! 100% recommend! Fantastic experience: if you’re looking for a dentist in Utah- you should definitely check out Dr. Steffensen at Pioneer Valley Dental in West Valley. Amazing staff and Dr. Steffense was so great with my kids, my daughter cannot wipe away her smile, she had the best time. They did a great job working with my son who has dyslexia and making sure he didn’t swallow water. I was so impressed with their care!

Fantastic experience: Dr Brent Baugh is excellent, he's gentle, quick and very accurate. I'm always confident that he's going to do a great job. I had a crown put in with a root canal. His work was very good, and it's held up now for a few years without issues. The Staff has always been kind and do awesome work, both the Dental Hygenist and Dental Assistants are always very friendly and also do great work as well. Everytime I have an appointment I get called into the office within 5 mins or less to get started.If you're looking for a good dentist office this is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic experience: We love Pioneer Valley Dental! My family and I have been going there for the past 12+ years every 6 months for our check-ups and cleaning. They have the most amazing staff, they have such pacience with my 21 years old daughter that has a disability and talks very little. After taking her there for so long, they even understand her . We adore Miss Candice always so kind with her beautiful smile. Dr. Austen Broadband is so great to us, and he even got our younger daughter to stop sucking her thumb 7 years ago when she was 2 on her first visit, explaining to her what it'd do to her teeth and she listened ! And Christy! (my heart) That is the most amazing hygienist I have ever had and that probably exists. It's like she knows every tooth in my mouth as if she put them there herself ! (She would laugh at this statement, i'm sure) I schedule my apointments making sure she'll be there. She makes it such a great experience and is always so personable and sweet. It's safe to say they're stuck with us for life ❤️

Fantastic experience: They're SO great with kids. My 5 yo has absolutely loved her first few visits. They were so friendly and good at distracting her. And super gentle with the actual work, so she was comfortable the whole time! She even reminds me when we need to brush our teeth now because she really wants to impress the team next time she goes back.

Fantastic experience: Review from 12/2023 I just had a visit today with Dr. Austen Broadbent and wanted to update my review. Austen does the majority of my work now and continues the Pioneer Valley Dental legacy of excellent service. The entire staff is a pleasure to work with and is extremely competent. Pioneer Valley stays very current on the latest technology and is very competent in handling a wide range of issues quickly and accurately. Review from 2016 (below) Dr. Tom Broadbent has been my dentist for more than 3 decades. He has always done fantastic work, and is highly skilled, honest and helpful with your specific needs. When we lived out of state for several years, I made arrangements to travel back to Pioneer Valley Dental for my regular checkups. Once when I had an urgent need and Dr. Broadbent was not available, I worked with one of his associates and got the same level of service. I give Pioneer Valley Dental and their friendly staff the highest possible recommendation.

Fantastic experience: This is the most amazing dental office. The staff are always so helpful and are so great to work with your insurance. Dr Blackhurst and his team are amazing. I have a very small mouth and some of my previous dentists have had a difficult time working on my back teeth and some have flat-out refused. He has been able to fix everything quickly and correctly I've had such a great experience there I cannot recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: I love Pioneer Dental and have continued to travel down to appointments even though I’ve moved 40 miles away. After an insurance change I wasn’t sure I’d be able to continue as a patient, but their scheduler, Nick, is so incredibly helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help me find a work around to make sure I’m able to keep coming to the dental office where I’m most comfortable.

Fantastic experience: We love Pioneer Valley Dental! Our extended family referred us and we’ve been happy since. We drive from Tooele as the service is worth every minute. My 6yr old was at a Pediatric dentist and asked to join at Pioneer Valley Dental as he loved the place and felt more comfortable. Ellie at Pioneer Valley was great with him and my teenager. She kept him comfortable and afterwards he asked “can we come back next week?”

They always make sure I’m ok because I have a lot of anxiety and they always make sure it doesn’t hurt. Susan is amazing too, she makes the financial part painless. Negative experience: They just want your money. I had a problem with my upper teeth, and I kept coming here multiple times to see what was up. While there, they just wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible and get me to pay for different services. They scanned my teeth with an expensive all around scanner and said their was nothing wrong with my teeth. At the end of the one of the appointments, they said, "Thanks for being easy," even though I was clearly still in a lot of pain. They assumed I was clenching my teeth at night and tried to get me to use a mouth guard for a few hundred dollars. I got a specialized mouth guard somewhere else for 50 from another dentist. I tried it out and it helped for a few months, but slowly got worse. Finally, I pressed hard on another dentist to find out my problem, and they pointed out to me in my all around scan that my sinuses were obviously inflamed and infected. Now I'm going to an ENT doctor, and according to them my pains having nothing to do with my teeth, but rather a sinus complication that required surgery to treat. Pioneer Dental wanted me to pay for as many of their services as possible before they were going to point out the obvious, which some other dentist did for me.

Fantastic experience: Pioneer Dental in west valley is definitely the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never gone to the dentist before and it was nerve-wracking to go, however, everyone in that office was so sweet and very welcoming which eased my nerves. Also thankful for Annelynn one of the dental assistants to Dr.Blackhurst who easily explained everything that I needed and treated me super well and had the patience to make me feel more welcomed. Definitely staying with this dental office and 100% recommend it to my friends and family!

Fantastic experience: I have the BEST dentist -- and it is Dr. Austin Broadbent at Pioneer Valley Dental! I have been going to him for more than a decade and I am so thankful for him and his whole staff! I have had major dental issues since I was a small child and have had quite a few dentists through the years trying to find constant quality care. Well, I have found the right place! He always wants to make sure that I am comfortable and don’t feel any pain. His staff also calls a day or so later to check up on me. I’m always nervous the first time I go to a new doctor. So, at my first appointment with Dr. Austin, when my name was called, a nice young man, named Jared, called my name and led me where I needed to go. I liked him immediately. The first three times, he was the one who called me back. I decided he would be my favorite. Then, the fourth time it was someone else who called my name and I felt a pang of disappointment. But within minutes I adored her too! The same was true for ALL of the dental assistants! So, now, they are ALL my favorites! AND the office staff is equally awesome! As soon as I walk in to the waiting room and before I even get to the spot to check in, whoever is checking in will say, ”Hi, Kathy. I’ve got you all checked in. They’ll be right with you!” And it’s the same with EVERYONE that comes in. It is the BEST place for ANY AND ALL dental work! Dr Austin and his whole staff are DEFINITELY KEEPERS!

Fantastic experience: I have to tell Everyone & Anyone who is apprehensive about dentists or whose anxiety goes "Through the Roof" just thinking about making an appointment. Come to this office of Pioneer Valley Dental. This is Not an ad or gimmick. I Am one who has had horrible experiences, (plural) people. I get tears just thinking about calling to make an appointment. Now that I've been here it's not so difficult to make that call. They Are Awesome! Two different doctors and the same careful, patience and attention to making sure I was comfortable and numb and relaxed Before the work started. They have plenty of tissue for me and my emotional state. You won't regret going to visit with the people in this entire office. From the front desk, all the way to the exit desk. They even had a program that helped me when I first went there and didn't have insurance. Their consideration was Beyond regular customer service. I've only stopped going because I moved out of state, but I've already considered making my 6 month appointments and family visits at the same times so I don't have to try to find another dentist withe compassion and caring they have here. My granddaughter, in her twenties had the same anxiety from horrible experiences with dentists. She would cry as the appointment came closer. I had her go here ans she thanked me over and over. Little by little her anxiety also stopped being so severe. Seriously. Make the call. You will be extremely pleased.

Fantastic experience: I remember going to Pioneer Valley Dental when I was in elementary. So when I needed to find a dentist, I remember Dr. World and I had good memories seeing him. So when I needed to reschedule after years of seeing Dr. World. Dr. World was unavailable. They scheduled me with Dr. Blackhurst. Dr. Blackhurst was friendly, patient, and professional. He made me feel just as comfortable as I was with Dr. World. Today, I needed to replace my temporary crown with the permanent crown. He was just as friendly and you can tell he has experience based on the question he ask and adjustments he made to make sure the crown fit. My gum didn't need to be numb because it didn't hurt or feel uncomfortable when he put the crown on. My crown feel just as comfortable as the old one it replaced and they were able to complete the appointment quicker then I thought. Overall, it was a good experience as I remember.

Fantastic experience: I have had a bad Month with my teeth, that has had me in tears. Nick has been amazing to get me back in the chair at the drop of a hat! Dr. Blackhurst and Bryn are so sweet and caring, even though I felt like I was a pain to them because of my teeth, how many times I had to be seen and my neck issues (they made me so comfortable with a neck pillow!!) And with there kind reassuring words that they are always in my corner!! They have the best bedside manner EVER!! I Love my team!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting Pioneer Valley Dental since the early 90s, and for good reason.They have been consistent throughout the years, providing a warm and welcoming environment; to not just me, but everyone I’ve referred Dr. World. The service from the hygienists is excellent and comfort is always a top priority. The in house membership makes it affordable without insurance and the billing department is very easy to talk to, if any questions arise. I fear the day Dr. World retires, but I know my teeth will be taken care of, at Pioneer Valley Dental.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what an experience! I went to pioneer valley for quite a while and always had a good experience but when I moved I tried to find something closer. But this past month I have had an awful experience with another dentist so I wanted to go back to pioneer valley. I saw Dr Smith and he was so patient to listen to my situation. He ended up replacing the other dentist work and you could tell that he was way more thorough through the entire process. Overall he was great and so nice and I don't care how far I have to drive, if I live in Utah I am going this dentist. The assistant was also awesome. I didn't catch his name but he seemed to be able to anticipate everything that was needed. He was awesome too.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and assistant were excellent. I felt comforted and cared for for the entirety of the visit. I get very nervous when it comes to visiting the dentist, so I asked if they would just keep informing me about what they were doing as the procedure went on. They were very accommodating and happy to do so. My latest visit was probably one of my best dental experiences I’ve ever had. It was quick, painless, and very chill. Fantastic experience: Dr. Curtis Smith at Pioneer Valley dental is truly one of the absolute best! My family has been going to him for 20+ years and I won't consider going anywhere else. Fantastic experience: The best service! 100% recommend because of multiple things. I moved to WVC and needed a new dentist, so not exciting. And just googled a dentist with high reviews and chose Pioneer Valley Dental. The first thing I loved is how after I called and set up an appointment, I got a text about filling out information before I go. The questions I was asked were so thoughtful, like "are you worried about coming to the dentist and what would make your visit better?" I bet more dentists are doing this but this is the first time I experienced it. Then when I went, seriously everyone was just so welcoming and happy to see me. And not in an awkward way, just genuine. Anyway, the service itself was fantastic and I've just never had such a great experience at a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I am usually skeptical of places with so many high ratings but I decided to give this office a try because it was close to home in a firmiliar building. The staff was extremely friendly and the exam rooms were very clean and not too cramped. The thing that put them over the top was the quality of the work done. Dr. Blackhurst does quick and excellent work. And he didn't seem to mind my questions at all. Everyone there made an effort to create a welcoming environment to keep patients long term.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Pioneer Dental for about 4 years and love this Dental Facility and the group of employees. All very professional and very courteous. Normally they take what my insurance will pay. Jared has been a great Dental assistant that I have had from my first appoint. My Dentist, Austin is quite a person. Very kind. Even moving to American fork I still make the drive because they have not just earned my business, but make me feel like family even after some of my family have passed, they knew about them and are so loving with memories share about their experiences an memories of them. Fantastic experience: I was SOOOOOOOO nervous due to the fact that I had to do 2 root canals. My previous experiences with a different dentist put a fear in me that it was going to be extremely painful. I went in and the lovely dental assistant prepared everything and helped me feel relaxed. The dentist came in and they were so professional and the procedure so smooth that I felt no pain and they explained everything that I needed done. We also have Delta dental insurance and this is great with this office. I recommend Pioneer Dental to everyone. They also have such an amazing staff. Fantastic experience: I had a pretty bad dental experience prior to coming to pioneer valley dental and they have always gone out of their way to make me feel safe and secure. Dr world and his team are the best there is. I recently had to have a post placed and was so scared because it had to be done by another dentist in the practice. I was so anxious but they were able to reassure and calm me quickly as if I was in dr world’s chair. The kindness everyone shows in this office is unsurpassed. And surprisingly enough, the post did not even cause any pain. I worried for nothing. I highly recommend this practice! You won’t ever look back.

Dr. Smith and the Hygienist that work with him are some of the kindest people I’ve met. Communication and organization from the office staff are my love language especially when dealing with my crazy family of 7. Fantastic experience: I think I’ve had nearly 40 cavities, needless to say, I’ve never really been a huge fan of the dentist. I’ve gone to probably 4-5 different dentists throughout my various moves. This dentist office is one of the best. Super welcoming, the people here are awesome. Everything is very transparent when it comes to charges. I’ve been here twice now for cleanings and have no fear for the third. Happy I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Pioneer Valley has been taking care of my dad since he was a kid. I don't trust any other dental facilities because of my experiences at Pioneer. They have always taken great care of my teeth and always make sure I'm take care of while I'm there. Amazing people and very skilled and kind dentists. P.S. I drove an hour to come back here for my visit instead of going to a closer dentist.

Fantastic experience: This place is seriously the best dentist I’ve ever been to! My husband went first a few months ago and urged the rest of us to go because he had such a rare good experience. I had a root canal done and I had absolutely ZERO PAIN after the numbing stuff went away. The assistants and receptionists are so very friendly and a pleasure to be around! The dentist and the assistant were very attentive and would ask often if I was doing okay and comfortable. They are gentle and patient during your whole experience. The dental assistant put the numbing gel in the right spots, and made sure I was very numb before the dentist gave me the shot , which I hardly felt as well. Unlike other dental procedures at other places in the past. If only everyone had a place like this to call their “go to” family dentist, then there wouldn’t be any horror stories. Call these guys, you won’t be sorry. My 2 boys ages 7 and 12 , both had fantastic experiences too and eased their fears of going to the dentist. Also, I’ve never heard any crying from other children either like I have pretty regularly at other family dentists.

Fantastic experience: This was the first dental appointment I've had where I felt no guilt or shame for the state of my teeth. Every person I interacted with was kind, patient and eager to work with me and help me improve my dental health. I was lucky to get in quickly to fix a chipped tooth and they also were helpful in identifying other underlying issues I was unaware of. This is the first time I've ever been eager to come back to the dentist after meeting with Dr. Baugh (who made me blush after complementing my teeth, a first!) and his wonderful assistant Campbell. They were quick, gentle, efficient and I loved the warm atmosphere of the office itself. I can tell they love their jobs and I loved switching to Pioneer Valley Dental.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. World most of my life (30+ years) and now that my son is old enough, he goes there as well. I took him for his first visit (a cavity/filling) the other day and they were amazing with him! Even though he was a little uncomfortable, he left calling everyone his friends, giving hugs and high fives on our way out. They've totally ruined me where other dentists are concerned, because no one else m comes close to comparing. Love, love, love them and recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Pioneer Valley Dental since the early 1980s. My wife and I have always received outstanding care from Dr World and all of the staff. At one point my insurance changed and I tried using another dentist not with Pioneer but was in the new insurance network. It was a very bad experience. And a mistake I will not make again. We are now back with Pioneer Valley and receiving great care. We have, and will continue to refer friends and family to Pioneer Valley Dental.

Fantastic experience: I avoid going to the dentist at all costs. But after my tooth cracked from old, shoddy dental work, I was desperate to find an emergency dentist. Not only did they stay open after closing to fix my tooth for me, but were hands down the kindest staff I’ve ever interacted with. I’ve continued to go to Pioneer Dental; they don’t judge me for being an adult baby in the chair, they are amazingly fast and efficient, they work with me and my finances, and most importantly, they make me as comfortable as humanly possible that every time I leave there I’m in a better mood. I could not recommend these hygienists, office staff or Dr. Austin enough.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr Baugh for years and this office is the best!! He always has the best advice for my teeth and never suggests unnecessary work just to line his own pocket. Fantastic experience: I just had my first appointment there! I know it’s just the first appointment but the ladies at the front desk were super helpful and patient. I didn’t feel like I was in a rush when I had to fill out my information on the iPad. Danny and Sierra didn’t make my visit awkward at all. Danny was super quick with all of the X-rays while Sierra made my visit feel more personable. I also appreciated Dr.Smith explaining any concerns with my teeth as well as explaining what everything was on my X-ray. Plus I got a cool water bottle for my first visit! Fantastic experience: I was talking my 31 year old daughter yesterday, and I hadn’t realized that my family has been going to Pioneer Dental for more than 13 years. Dr Smith fixed her 2 top, front teeth 13 years ago after being broken when she was 8 (both just coming in) and after other dentists fixing them several times. Sorry for the story, however after 13 years, they still look very good and are still very strong. Dr Smith and the other dentists are all very good and efficient, as are their office staff, who are very organized and are also very efficient. Then there are the hygienists, etc.: I was in last Tuesday for surgery and they had to take some of my blood for that survey. I really don’t like giving blood. With our joking and laughter, they totally put me to ease. Thank you Pioneer Valley Dental. I highly and strongly recommend this place.

I had to change my appointment and they called me right back to get me a sooner appointment than was scheduled. Dr. Baugh is a great dentist and one that I will definitely recommend to everyone!
