Fantastic experience: I wanted to get my upper teeth pulled so I could get a denture. I was very nervous about it. VSP accociates and especially Dr. Patel made me feel comfortable and at ease through this process. I am so glad that I chose VSP for my dental care!Now it's been a year and after a few temporary denture until my gums healed , they were very accommodating to my needs.Now my final upper denture is absolutely what I have missed. Fantastic experience: My wife, Ruth has been to alot of dentists, many of them were not good. She was going to get what little teeth she had taken out and get dentures. This dentist not only made her experience great, but talked her into keeping her teeth. As far as we are concerned, we will only use this dental group for the rest of our lives. Fantastic experience: Exceptional Experience at VSP Dental It was an absolute pleasure working with the team at VSP Dental during my recent lower molar extraction. From the moment I arrived, every member of the staff demonstrated professionalism, confidence, and an impressive level of technical knowledge. Once I was properly anesthetized, the extraction itself took literally six minutes—precise, efficient, and virtually painless. The only minor downside was a billing oversight: I was charged for a surgical extraction, but the procedure turned out to be a simple extraction at a rate of $348.00. I have no doubt this was an honest mishap somewhere between the front desk and the dentist, and I’m confident it will be resolved—hopefully as a credit toward my upcoming deep cleaning. This in no way affects my rating, as the quality of care and professionalism were truly outstanding. VSP Dental’s team is knowledgeable, skilled, and dedicated to patient comfort. Their methodical approach, modern tools, and clear communication made the entire experience smooth and reassuring. Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the dental assistant Olivia. I was getting a price on a partial. I told her what I was looking for. The dentist Dr Patel was in surgery doing an implant. The assistant checked to see if she would see me. And it wasn't long she had finished her surgery. She explained to me why I should go with a particular partial, other than the one I wanted. And it made perfect sense too!! So I'm going with the dentist suggestion. Just waiting to hear from my insurance. And the price was well within my budget. And the best part. The consultation was free!!! I highly recommend giving them a chance. Their equipment is high technology!!! It will amaze you. Everything is pretty much in high technology.

Negative experience: I had an incredibly disappointing experience at VSP Dental and will not be returning. I came in for a filling and paid $181 at the front desk, assuming it was for that day’s service. After the procedure, I was told I still owed $125 because the original payment was for a previous balance—which was never explained to me beforehand. When I requested a payment plan to avoid spending so much in one day, a clerk named Joanne involved the office manager, who spoke to me in a rude, condescending, and judgmental tone. She told me that if I had paid my balance last year, I wouldn’t be in this situation and even compared it to shopping at a grocery store—completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Joanne and the manager both lacked basic courtesy and empathy. The entire interaction left me so upset I couldn’t calm down, and I’ve never been spoken to like that in any professional setting. I canceled all future appointments and will be filing a formal complaint with the dental board and corporate. This office clearly needs better communication, accountability, and serious training in how to treat patients with respect. Avoid this place if you value basic professionalism and empathy.

Negative experience: They have some good staff but be advised this is no one stop shop. Also if you are trying to get a procedure done make sure you do your research if they claim that you need other things done first because it may not be true.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience. Front receptionist was rude. Dr. Patel did not spend anytime addressing my concerns. They may have been having a bad day, but it bothered me tremendously. I have been a faithful patient for 20 years. After yesterday, I am moving to another dentist.

Within minutes Joanne McFaddin of VSP Dental contacted me and scheduled me to come in the following morning (she’s awesome). When I walked in, immediately, I was made to feel comfortable. Once, I was seen, I was told I had to have 2 teeth extracted. Shocked but, understood why. The entire crew, Dr. Sagar Chauhan, Debbie Nester and Taylor Clifton did a phenomenal job. Seems as though one of my teeth didn’t want to come out as planned. But, my team stayed the course and completed the job. Fantastic experience: After examining the Xray, Dr Chauhan explained me very well about the diagnosis.I am in my second trimesters and he kept me calm during the whole process by letting me know ahead when things will be painful and noisy. Fantastic experience: Update on review: Surgery done, implant in, & more teeth pulled. This has been such a pleasant experience. (I've always been afraid going to the dentist) Everyone, including Dr. Patel were awesome during the first pulling of my top teeth and putting in of my temporary top implants. Then having some teeth pulled on the bottom was just as easy with Dr. C. Next visit is to have root canal and crown, then partial for my bottom. Looking forward to the finished work. By the way, not only are the doctors awesome they have a VERY nice friendly knowledgeable staff too! If you are looking for a dental office check them out, you won't be disappointed I'm working towards being able to smile with confidence again and they're doing a great job helping me to get there! 1st visit just in to discuss my treatment plan that we are going forward with. Fantastic experience: Hello world I'm back one year later and I must say it was worth it I got full mouth implants and at first it seemed hard but as time went by I knew I made the right decision with my choice to do it and the doctor too,Dr Patel is one of the most kind people she treats you like your family and the work is great and for the most part painless ,I'm completely satisfied and would recommend anyone in the surrounding areas and anywhere really if you want top notch work from good hearted people not just Dr Patel but the whole staff are very nice and make going to the dentist not a bad thing and the facility is very updated not your old 2 room dentist office it's a real facility but I went on enough people gonna think I work there or something but trust me and take that pain away that's in your mouth right now as your reading this like I was a year ago and make your appointment ITS WORTH IT

Fantastic experience: These are my people, lol. From the phone call making an appointment to checking in and then Dr. Patel's care, I felt taken care of. I chose to have my tooth pulled over a root canal. She did a great job making sure it was pain-free. They have the lastest technology in scanning and made my husband's partial that fit perfectly. Fantastic experience: I have been terrified of a dentist since I was 16 because of a very bad experience when I was 16, I am now 56, I have never been made to feel more at ease and comfortable!! I had a tooth extracted but first I was given antibiotics due to an infection, when I went back to get my tooth extracted of course I was nervous but the dental assistant and even an receptionist came to comfort me, the receptionist held my hand the entire time my tooth was being extracted, I never felt anything and I was well taken care of!!! I recommend VSP dental to anyone who has a fear of dentists!! You guys are amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: Today, I had an appointment for a cleaning. At least, I thought it was a cleaning...it turned out to be a lot more; however, I was able to get it all done in one place. Life gets busy sometimes and we forget about ourselves because of careers, families, educational programs, and volunteer programs. Taylor did an excellent job building rapport and developing a treatment plan for me and she worked it to where I could hang in the area for an hour lunch and return to get the additional work done. Debbie and Dr. Patel did excellent cosmetic work to my teeth and made themselves available for me and did the work with a smile. Fantastic experience: Long Review Alert w/an update at the end: Last week while eating dinner, I broke a tooth on the right side of my mouth. A friend and neighbor recommended VSP Dental to me. I was seen the same day that I called for an emergency appointment. The staff here were polite, funny, friendly, and professional during my 1st visit. They were prepared to take the tooth out last week, however when mentioning a food allergy known as Alpha-Gal, the dentist, Dr. Chauhan, pumped the brakes and consulted with my doctor. He listened to my concern, then took steps to see what could be done about the allergy. The long and short was that I cannot have the topical/local before the novocain because of the likelihood of an allergic reaction. Finally, on Tuesday of this week, I received a phone call to schedule the extraction, which turned out to be yesterday. Dr. Chauhan was fantastic! The talked to me the entire time that he was working on me. I felt one very small twinge of discomfort as he worked on me and after that, the tooth was extracted. His assistant was fantastic too. I was in and out of the chair within 30-45 minutes of arrival. My only complaint is that light is too darn bright. The upshot is that I was offered a set of shades, but they let me wear my own. :) We will be back for non-emergency procedures in the near future. Update: This place is FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!! It turns out that I have a severe case of gum disease. The staff at VSP dental helped me to acquire financing for an upper dental plate, gave me contact information for an oral surgeon to remove two molars (Unfortunately, they don't handle molars in-office.), AND the owner's HUSBAND even got in on the conversation to help me understand the process. I have never been a fan of dentists due to childhood trauma, but I actually love going here. They really are fantastic people and are very, very patient-oriented. Take it from someone how fears going to the dentist that this is the place to go if you live in Southside VA or the Northern part of North Carolina. They will treat you well here. Tell them I sent you. :)

Fantastic experience: On 3/13/24 one of my crowns came off while eating breakfast. I called my dentist as soon as they opened and they said they couldn't see me for TWO days! I called VSP and they could see me that morning. They texted me the paperwork which I filled out online and was all set when I arrived. Holy state-of-the-art dentistry! I didn't know dental technology had come so far as I've been with my dentist's office since moving to Danville 40 years ago (though the original owner of the practice has retired). The x-ray uses such little radiation you don't have to wear protection. Instead of a nasty tray filled with goo to bite into to make an impression, they do a scan to make a 3D image. AND the best part is they make the crown onsite and you leave with it on. No wearing a temporary crown for 2 weeks worried it will come off. The assistant and Dr. Patel were very nice too. I'd like to switch permanently to VSP dental though they're not in network with my insurance Delta Dental. I may switch anyway as the difference for most services is only 10% between in network vs. out of network. I don't want to go back to my old dentist's office, that's for sure.

Negative experience: I went there they just did x rays of my teeth after knowing I was there for a deep cleaning. They told me they have to see if my insurance would accept the work which I know they would except the dental work. They told me give them 2 weeks to see what the insurance company say they never called me back But anyway I am going to another dentist no questions asked I will not ever see them again.

Fantastic experience: VSP Dental , Dr Patel, Dr Chauhan, and their entire staff make you feel right at home. I have been a patient for years. I had two teeth filled recently and before I realized it they were finished. Dr Chauhan did a great job. I had my 6 month cleaning today and Lisa the hygienist did a wonderful job. I would recommend VSP to anyone looking for any type of dental work.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chauhan was very thorough and professional, making sure to answer any questions I may have had and gave really in depth explanations which is hard to come by. He made sure I knew all of my options for future care. His assistant was also really helpful

Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean environment, very nice staff members and the Doctor very good in what he do. Never have left disappointed and they break down your bill so you know exactly how much you will owe and how much insurance will pay on your visit. I will highly recommend them to anyone. Fantastic experience: The new procedure for doing crowns is great. The 3D imaging provided a perfect fit for my crown the first time. Also the wait time for getting my crown was less than 2 hours so there was no need for a return visit or temporary crown it was done in 1 day which for anyone who is busy is really a great time saving option. VSP staff is always friendly and will take care of any of your dental needs. My experience there has always been very professional and caring.

Fantastic experience: VSP Dental is a "State of the Arts" Dental facility. It's the CLEANEST Health facility I've ever been to. And the staff IS AWESOME! I suffer from all types of Dental anxieties, and EVERYONE put me at ease during all of my visits. I recommend this Dental Office to anyone seeking professional, and courteous care!

Fantastic experience: First visit was for my cleaning. Before I went to vsp I hadn’t been to a dentist in over a decade. So with that said, I didn’t feel any judgment and they were happy to address what issues needed to be fixed and did not pressure me to do anything. I went back for an extraction and the dentist was super patient and did not rush at all. Will 100% go back to VSP in the future
