Fantastic experience: I recently had the prep work done for another crown. Dr Vinh and his staff have been great. They're friendly and compassionate. I like how they let you know what's happening step by step when you're in the chair. Also, Ann at the front desk was a great help with getting financing for my crown.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Gentle Caring Dentistry for around little over 3 years. The staff as well as Dr Vinh has always been very pleasant , thorough and caring . When you find someone that you can trust that’s priceless .

Negative experience: Wish I had my old teeth back. Cannot chew comfortably with work I had done. Must chew on right side only in order to eat

Negative experience: Please heed the warnings on here about this being a money grab operation. The dentist will push unneeded and expensive treatments- and they offer financing to boot! I luckily got a second opinion and much like others here the dentist said it is basically all unnecessary. I went from needing thousands of dollars of work to 1 filling that had popped out needing redone for $50 rather than the crown they were charging 3 times what my insurance recommended as the in network cost. Its so bad I had to leave my first negative google review ever out of obligation to my fellow human beings.

Negative experience: Update to my original five stars given about 5 yrs ago. I now have a new dentist who I've only seen for about 10 minutes in the past 2 years when I come in for cleaning at least twice yearly. At the last cleaning, I asked about a problem, the technician (not the dentist) suggested I talk to a specialist. I chose not to follow the Specialists recommendation because I didn't medically see a need and it was too expensive. Now after 7 years of seeing them they've decided they can't even see me because I didn't take the specialist recommendation. I can only assume they get a cut of the money and or they do not like working with seniors. I'm Sorry my previous dentist left this practice and went to Texas. I'm a level 7 Local guide with Google Maps, with over 34 million views of my reviews and pictures. I do not give one star lightly. I reserve it for folks that really deserve only one star in their practice. The 5 star review below was for my previous dentist at the practice, not current. Previously: The good and the bad. I had to get a crown so that's bad but they did a great job of putting it in at reasonable cost. That's the good. These folks are always friendly and they keep me up to date with check-ups. The dentist also are very friendly and personable as well as confident. I recommend this office.

Negative experience: Been a patient for approximately 5 yrs. Have had my teeth cleaned every 6 months. Lots of turnover in staff. Dr & staff are friendly but in the last yr or so it seems to have become a money grab situation. Every visit more procedures are "recommended" above and beyond what is covered by insurance. After having several appointments being canceled I finally get in for my scheduled 6 month basic cleaning only to have then "recommend" a deep cleaning. When I refused it I was escorted out without a cleaning. I was in shock!

Fantastic experience: Really impressed with the care I have received at Gentle Care Dentistry. The service lives up to the name. Dr. Nguyen is kind and thorough. The staff is caring, non-judgmental, and very skilled in their areas. Great team. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The dentist reduced the numbing agent as I requested so the after procedure went much better this time. The hygienist seemed very skillful and had a very pleasant personality. I liked the bird sounds as opposed to having a TV on, it was much more relaxing.

Fantastic experience: They are straight forward and tell you everything you need to know about what they are going to do and what might happen so you are fully informed.They try hard to make it as painless as possible.

Negative experience: This place has massive turnover. From dentist all the way to the person answering phone. This place will charge add anything under the sun to get the bill as high as possible. It's like buying a car at a dealership fees fees fees useless are "mandatory" here. They will hide your Dentist leaving the practice for fear of you leaving. This place washes people out like a laundry mat. Staff will just talk over you the whole call. AVOID. You will not see the same faces 1 year to the next.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Nguyen and Jen are two of the most caring people I’ve met! Both are always very cautious knowing I’m not a huge fan of the dentist. Both are always in a great mood, happy to answer questions, and always checking on me to ensure I’m okay. Jen has gone above and beyond for me while getting my front teeth crowns done and making sure I was 100% happy. It doesn’t stop there, the ladies at the front desk are always smiling and making things so easy for me. Great place all the way around!

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue but I wanted to complete my treatment first. I did my initial exam here with Dr. Andrews and was told I need to get 3 new crowns, replace an old crown, and do multiple fillings. I had seen google reviews for this place saying that they were told they needed to do a bunch of work but they didn’t think it was necessary ( aka they thought it was a money making scam). So I got a second AND a third opinion and Dr. Andrews was on point and I needed all the work he suggested. Dr. Andrews hands down is the best dentist I’ve ever had ( and I’ve had a lot of dentists since I don’t have good teeth). He is great at his work, professional, friendly, patient, and he will go above and beyond to make sure his work is perfect. I couldn’t be happier with my teeth. Other staff, front desk and hygiene, are very friendly and professional as well. There’s no wait time here and I don’t have to wait past my appointment time to see the doctor. The doctor does have assistants that rotate. I saw several of them and they’re all pretty good for the most part. The only not so positive experience I had was with one of the more experienced ones. She was just too unnecessarily rough and definitely bruised up my mouth but hey I’m an adult and didn’t cry about it:) Also, I needed to get new retainers because I had so many new crowns. Dr. Andrews was very understanding and made sure I was charged for the lab price and not the full price ( $100 vs $500).

Fantastic experience: Today was just a a cleaning and some x-rays. Dr. Namou came in to review the x-rays and reminded me about some fillings that need to be done. Dr. Namou is extremely warm and friendly, as are all the staff, and I genuinely feel that they care about me as their patient!! One of the receptionists even explained a yearly dental plan that they offer to those without dental insurance. I'm seriously thinking about it.

Fantastic experience: Gentle Caring Dentistry is located in small rural Fremont but is right up there with dentists and staff from much larger areas. I know this because I've been to many dentists in the 5 or 6 states in which I've lived. GCD staff are graduates of excellent schools; they use up-to-date equipment as well as processes. Gentle is a correct adjective; everyone there goes out of her/his way to make you comfortable and relaxed. I look forward to my appointments and always feel refreshed upon leaving. Negative experience: As a new patient I went there for x rays and a cleaning. I don't know the names of the x rays that are covered and not covered. Isn't that up to the office employees to know? Soon after this visit I get a bill for $100. My insurance covers 2 cleanings and 2 x rays a year. I called the dentist office about this bill. So I found out that a certain x ray wasn't covered that's why I owed the $100. I wasn't happy about it and the office even split the cost for me leaving me to owe $50. The next cleaning and x ray time can. I told the front desk, the dental technician and the dentist," DO NOT do any x rays that my insurance doesn't cover". I got an " Oh no we won't". Well wouldn't you know I received another $100 bill from them for the same x ray that wasn't covered before. I was so mad. I called them and they could have cared less. I told them that I wasn't paying that bill EVER! They kept sending me the bill and I would tear it in half with a note that said " I'm not paying this bill." It even went to collections but I didn't care. I called the collection place and they said that I should talk to the office and that $100 isn't worth the dentist time and trouble of trying to get it out of me.I have not ever paid that bill and will never step foot in that place again. I have gone to Gentle Smiles in Sandusky and the girl in the office there is on top of everything. She knows insurances inside and out. She knows and checks what's covered and not covered and will let you know up front. Great place!

Negative experience: I recently visited my dentist's office for a follow-up appointment after being assured multiple times by staff that I wouldn’t owe anything. Despite this, I later received a bill for the visit. I understand that mistakes can happen, but clear communication is essential when it comes to billing. This experience was frustrating and left me feeling misled. I hope the office improves its communication with patients to prevent similar issues. I have since stopped doing business with them.

Fantastic experience: I have always had anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Andrew and his assistant Kim did a stellar job and I felt zero pain during my 3 fillings. They were lighthearted and joking around and I liked that. Made it feel more like a fun environment.

Negative experience: Please don’t go there. They will not understand your situation and clean your teeth. They will ask you to do other treatment and not do basic clean. I mean I have been paid for dental insurance for a year, and all what I want do is insurance covered basic cleaning. Oh your teeth has really bad problem and we can not do that. Well sorry I am not giving u anything because my dog needs surgery which it is more important than my deep cleaning. If u have financial problems and even if u have delta premier insurance, please go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff were very nice, especially Kate! She was very gentle and checked on me throughout the cleaning process to ensure I was ok and comfortable. It is also extremely clean and organized there too! I definitely recommend them to everyone! I also love how family friendly they are. Every staff member that we have had are AMAZING with my kids and SO patient!! They will also schedule all of your kids appointments together, no problem!! I absolutely love Gentle Caring Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of work done at the end of this year that I had put off for awhile. They were able to get me in, accommodate my schedule, and come up with a plan to get as much done as possible while balancing my annual insurance maximum and prioritizing what was most important. The dental assistants are great, personal-able and make sure you are as comfortable and happy with the work as possible. Dr. Andrew is a really good person, detail oriented and pays attention to even the smallest of details, and cares. This is the best dental office I have been to in 25 years. All the 5 star reviews, including mine, speak for themselves. There is a reason they are such a large and successful practice.

Fantastic experience: This dentist office if absolutely amazing. I chose this office after reading all of the good reviews. After being told I needed dentures at the age of 34 by a different dentist I was so nervous and scared this dentist would tell me the same thing, but they came up with a care plan that I’m comfortable and happy with. Every single person in that office was so nice, they told me everything they were doing before they did it and warned me when things might be uncomfortable. I will definitely be keeping them as my regular dentist!

Negative experience: I was a first time patient they confused me with another patient and gave me a shot to pull four of my teeth when I only wanted my teeth cleaned. I paid over $300 for my cleaning and then they billed me again for account calls. $235 more. Not a place I would send anyone to, horrible service, horrible prices. Not gentle or caring dentistry, Horrible Scam Dentistry is what it should be named.

Positive experience: The staff is friendly and efficient. I’m satisfied with the service. I would’ve liked my hygienist to ask a few more questions about my preferences (toothpaste flavor, waterpik vs dental tools), but overall a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I have always had a fear of going to the dentist. Fear of the procedures, fear of pain, Fear of shots, but then my friend suggested I go to gentle caring dentistry in Fremont, Ohio, and that she had a great experience there. I did that and have felt comfortable every time I have gone. The entire staff are friendly and caring and my dental hygienist, Tracy handles me with tender loving care. Thanks to everyone there for making me feel so comfortable. I would recommend gentle caring dentistry to anyone who struggles with dental anxiety or procedures like I do.
