Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at Robinson Dental in Coopersville! They have the nicest staff and go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Mandy was especially great. I am actually looking forward to my next visit… never thought I’d say that about the dentist!

Negative experience: This place is a total rip off. I went in for a chipped tooth and in lots of pain. They kept me coming back for cleaning and xray. And then deep cleaning, but yet never fixed the tooth after months of being in pain. I spent $2000 on nothing. Never fixed anything or even finish the cleaning. I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy.

Negative experience: I was very upset with my husband’s visit to this office. He had an emergency situation where he needed a tooth pulled that broke. He drove almost 2 hours for this appointment. He was given X-rays and prescribed an antibiotic but he couldn’t get the tooth pulled because he didn’t have the $600 upfront to pay. I understand it’s a business, but to send someone away in pain with this kind of situation was astounding to me, when all he needed was to set up a payment arrangement for 3 days away. They made him feel so bad about himself. We found a different dentist that pulled the tooth and was kind and caring. We will not be going to this office, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have no issue paying in an emergency situation.

Fantastic experience: Stefanie and Mandy did a great job today! I got my teeth cleaned (picture pre-cleaning so don’t look too hard). They were very friendly and hard working. The office is beautiful, clean, and professional. Highly recommend. I drive all the way from Holland to be able to go to the dentist here and it’s worth the drive.

Fantastic experience: After an absolutely horrible experience at Robinson Dental in Wayland (where they pulled the wrong tooth and made me feel like nothing less than a burden) My mom forced me to go to the Robinson dental in Coopersville when I was to the point of giving up. I was convinced they would treat me the same way the Wayland did because it was still Robinson Dental. But as soon as I got there I felt like they cared and actually wanted to help me. They didn’t nickel and dime me like Wayland did, they honestly wanted to help me. They found an infection that Wayland missed under my root canal crown, when I specifically told the doctor what tooth it was but he convinced me I was wrong and I believed him. I trusted him. I was so disappointed in the care from the dental assistant who acted like I was over reacting for a tooth with no infection (because it was the wrong tooth they pulled) But anyways I will share more about this experience on the Wayland review when I get around to typing out the whole situation. But this office, Robinson Dental in Coopersville CARED! I am truly in awe of every person I came into contact with. You made me feel like my pain mattered. You took care of me when I was feeling like I couldn’t do it anymore. I was about to give up because the other officer made me feel like my pain didn’t matter, that it wasn’t real. Coopersville- you restored my faith in dentists. I was honestly at my breaking point and now I’m sitting here typing this with very little pain, only discomfort from the 2 teeth I had removed today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. THANK YOU ALL❤️

Positive experience: Robinson Dental is such a nice place. Clean. Organized. Staff are very professional, friendly, & helpful as far as explaining things. Questions about the procedures, payments, etc. They were all very easy to talk to and talked to me/ asked if I was doing okay throughout the whole procedure. I have a VERY big fear of dentists and dentist offices, but while I was there, they made me feel so calm and relaxed, that I wasn’t nervous at all! And the dental assistant helped distract me from the anesthesia shots by gently tapping on my arm, while also reminding me to breath through my nose. Which at first I wasn’t sure of, but it actually really helped. Did take a couple days after my procedure to actually get my prescriptions needed, but staff worked hard and got them to me as fast as they could. So, I’m very appreciative of that! Thank you so much Dr.Sara & Dr.Mike for being so great! I appreciate you and all other Robinson Dental staff that I talked to that day!

Negative experience: Hailey, the manager of the Coopersville office responded to my complaint by saying she talked to the rude checkout staff and stated they are waiting for my insurance to go through for a dental procedure. What? Still haven’t heard back in a week! It is easy for them to bill you at the end of your visit, but they can’t adjust the insurance coverage then and there, especially after my dental insurance spoke with them on the phone at checkout? Bad business! Going to report them to the BBB. This business is NOT BBB Accredited, but you can still leave another review and they will look into it.

Fantastic experience: I had extreme pain on number 31 tooth and called Robinson dental the next morning first thing. The office staff was amazing and got me in right away at 8 am. The following morning I was able to return for a root canal and a filling, Deric and Mandy were great. I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate Robinson dental. Dr Michael Lilly, was very professional and walked me through the process of my root canal and took time to explain to me what was happening prior and during the procedure. Dr. Myron Hampton Jr Had done a previous root canal on number 30 and he too has great bed side manner and is highly professional and personable. The office clerical staff are always polite, and they do so much to assure you are getting scheduled fast and efficiently. They are true advocates and reach out to insurance companies, to assure dental procedures were being covered. Negative experience: They make you feel amazing and wanted and then ghost you after they sucker you in for their dental plan. Left countless emails and phone calls that went unanswered. Save your money and time. They are overpriced and don’t care about you….just want the money. I don’t normally leave reviews unless they are 5 star ……but extremely disappointed/ disgusted with how this office handled us.

Fantastic experience: Very professional. I was informed up front on cost and procedures needed. Went over all my concerns with care. Checked all my x-rays with me so that I had a clear understanding of what was on the screen. I liked that the screen was in my line of sight and be hind me where I would not be able to see them. Negative experience: Every time I step foot into Robinson dental, the staff is rude. Every filling I’ve gotten done there has ended up messed up and ended up in root canals. The last filling they messed up, they told me they wanted to sit and watch it and not even fill it. I told them to fill it instead of waiting for it just to get worse. They also let their other patients talk bad about you too.

Fantastic experience: Where to start. 1st allowed me to be seen same day. Working with me and the funeral of my Aunt that I needed to attend. They listened to me about "what is going on". This was my first time ever getting xrays and there wasn't excruciating pain involved with it. Apparently a new hand held type xray machine. Let me tell y'all if I didn't live in Maryland, this would be my new dentist on that alone. While they weren't able to work on me today, they explained very well the reasons why to a guy crying in pain. They prescribed me some medications to help meditate my pain. Would definitely come back if needed and around. Seriously, thank y'all.

Negative experience: DO NOT get work done here. Ever since they started filling cavities and doing work on my teeth something felt off. About a year and a half ago they put a crown on my tooth (no root canal….) and ever since then it’s been issues. My “permanent” crown fell out after under a month when I was eating a hot dog, and when I called about it, they took forever to get me in (even though I told them my crown was in my hand and my exposed tooth was making me miserable), they told me “everyone makes mistakes” when I was explaining the phone conversation and how I made it clear i had my crown in my hand and was in pain… They put the crown back on… but backwards (I did not know this at the time… I was numb so I didn’t feel any pain when I left). I refused them to fix it after that because I was already adjusting to my bite and I was honestly sick of them messing with my tooth.. My bite has forever changed because of this, huge gap in the part of my tooth the backward cap doesn’t cover, and it’s painful to chew food on that side. At my last cleaning they told me I would have to get a new crown to fix this problem, and that I would have to resign my contract to stay with them another 2 years for them to cover anything that happens to my new crown…. I decided against this as I’ve had so many issues with this crown and it hasn’t even been the full 2 years. Will be finding a new dentist office after this experience. Cleanings have always been fine, but beware of any further work !

I was greeted by friendly staff, and they did everything to make me comfortable and feel safe. As someone who has major dental anxiety they exceed all expectations, I’m actually looking forward to going again. Say SO much about them!!!! 10/10 I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I've had nothing but issues with this dental clinic pretty much every single appointment I’ve had, there has been at least one issue..I was referred here by someone who had nothing but good remarks..unfortunately I’m not having that same experience. At the time I had Medicaid, in the middle of my treatment plan I was kicked off Medicaid. It took them 3 appointments and over one month to finally get my treatment plan started because they kept taking my blood pressure wrong and it was reading high. They kept referring me to my primary care physician and asking if I’m blood pressure meds, and yet everytime I go to the dr after the fact my blood pressure reads normal. I even wasted my time and gas going to the ER bc my first appointment they said it read really high. At the ER they tell me this happens a lot and they shouldn’t be taking blood pressure at dental clinic bc they do not use the proper machine or methods to get an accurate reading. Not to mention nerves are high for someone with dental anxiety. If they had gotten it done right the first time it would have been completed before I was removed from Medicaid and the cost covered entirely. Now I’m stuck with a nearly $2,000 bill I can barely pay off through them, and to top it off my crown is in pain and feels infected. They wanted $100 more to even look at it if they got me in today. I JUST set up my payment plan to make this appointment today and can’t afford anymore. In my eyes, I shouldn’t have to pay anything if it’s something you guys did that’s causing me pain. Also, you can die from a tooth infection if it spreads and I feel like that should be at least a little bit of a concern. At least look at it to see if it’s your wrong doing that’s causing me pain before charging me more money I don’t have. The only reason I kept coming here after my Medicaid mishap, was bc they were the only dental clinic I could find to do in house payment plans. That’s my only pro out of all the cons I’ve had here. I had to have something done because it was infected and in so much pain it was affecting daily life..now they won’t see me for an issue with what they did unless I fork over more money. ALSO, I was scheduled for a cleaning today, I show up and they informed me they cancelled my appointment and let me know via phone the previous day. I checked my phone and have no voicemail from them. It was a near 30 minute drive over here, I’m in pain and I wanted my crown checked. That cleaning was expected to cost me another $200 as well. Even with my insurance, a cleaning shouldn’t be costing me $200. They obviously added another $100+ to my payment plan before I set it up yesterday too, no explanation of what that money was for, so I assumed it was added for my appointment today and I show up and they took it upon themselves to cancel my appointment for me. So why do I have money added to my plan? I’m starting to feel taken advantage of in terms of money..and not receiving the quality care I should be getting. Every time I come here, I end up leaving angry. I wouldn’t recommend this dental office.

Fantastic experience: While traveling from Montana to Michigan a crown came off. Robinson dental was able to schedule me in quickly. The treatment and advice I received was outstanding. If there were a Robinson Dental in our area, I would be most inclined to use their services.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to Robinson for around 8 years and I’ve finally had enough. The best thing I can say is that the actual staff that does the work: the dentists and hygienists are great. I’ve consistently been impressed with their work and professionalism. The rest of the experience is negative and overwhelmingly so. Scheduling has repeatedly double-booked or overbooked. My most recent appointment was rescheduled even though it was set weeks in advance. Generally I know to not count on the time until it changes at least twice and usually within days of the appointment itself. When you do manage to get an appointment you have to confirm via multiple text messages PLUS an actual call. In my eight years of going I have never missed or been late to a single appointment so it’s really frustrating that there are lots of confirmations and yet they STILL often change the date then ask you to confirm again with more texts and calls. They’re awful at accepting payment as well. I also always offer to pay co-pays and treatments at the time of service and they constantly tell me that nothing is owed, only to harass me during my next visit for the previous payment plus my now current balance. I tried to explain the situation multiple times I am always assured that nothing is owed as of now. Overall, despite the great dentists and hygienists, I cannot recommend Robinson Dental anymore. I’ll be switching to someplace that can get their administrative stuff together in a timely fashion. The few dentists I’ve visited in the area seem to do a better job in that area so far. When my next cleaning is due I think I’ll just switch to one of them.

Negative experience: What a joke of an office! After scheduling my daughter’s appointment on FRIDAY, they decided to stop taking her insurance by MONDAY! When we called to see if we could get in sooner than her Thursday appointment, the lady on the phone decided to inform us of this. Not only would we have shown up on Thursday, expecting to be seen, we were also advised that they cancelled the Thursday appointment because when we called Monday to see about getting in sooner, the person cancelled the appointment because she was seen at an emergency dentist on Sunday!!! The lack of communication just blows my mind! Not to mention the lack of compassion. At least let someone know you changed your policy over the weekend. Here we thought we were set for Thursday and now have to scramble to find someone to get her in! Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit and let me tell ya, this office is exceptional! From check in to check out was a wonderful experience. I’m feeling very excited and way less nervous about my in depth treatment plan. They truly care about your oral needs, but also your overall health. I would give 10 stars if I could!!

Fantastic experience: 1st appointment: I made an appointment for a broken tooth. Everyone that I came into contact with were very kind and professional. I had no work done today, so I am not able to comment on actual dental care. But, I did have an amazing experience with the x-rays taken and the whole experience of being in the chair. I have terrible neck and back pain. I was offered some comfort items, and was able to choose a neck pillow and a light blanket. I have never had such a wonderful experience in the chair. It was kind and thoughtful. I will update y’all on my actual ‘dental work’ when I have some done. We have a plan and I am grateful for that. I must admit that I don’t like PAIN, none of us do… I also know that any REAL dental work can be painful, I’m sure that they have those wonderful large needles, lol! Hopefully, I will be given enough time to get numb…I’ll keep you posted, because I do need a lot of work. Btw…my needling a lot of painful dental work is NOT their fault! But, I am hopeful that their actual “dental” work and the other professionals they work with are great!! I will update… Update Pending…

Negative experience: Overcharged for work that we did not authorize on all 3 of my kids. Insurance covers 3 x-rays with a standard cleaning/check up, Robinson Dental decided to do 5 x-rays (per child) did not ask for or provide any reason for the extra work done, and expected me to pay the difference. Nobody had any cavities or any reason for additional x-rays to be done. Avoid unless you're ok with being blindsided with bills for unnecessary work done beyond standard cleaning/checkups, without any kind of prior authorization.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful 1st time visit! I was a little hesitant to go to a new dentist, but they were great! Super friendly and they were able to see me the day after I called for an appointment-perfect! Waiting time was under 15 mins which is always appreciated when I have little ones being babysat. My hygienist Katy was excellent and I enjoyed our chat very much! They were up front with all the out of pocket costs and had everything broken down and printed off to make it easy to understand. I recommend this dental facility if your in the area, I am from Grand Haven and its an easy 20 min drive. Thank you Robinson Dental

Fantastic experience: I had to get my tooth extracted for the first time and I have severe social and general anxiety. They were absolutely amazing with making me feel comfortable and treating me like a human and not like they didn’t want to be there. 10/10 would recommend for children and adults w high social anxiety. Or just in general! The procedure went with no issues and felt nothing, and kept me updated throughout it. The healing process has been just a little soreness but that’s it. Great people in there!

Negative experience: DO NOT go here unless all you need are your teeth cleaned!!! I had a crown here less than 2 years ago. The 1st crown didn't fit so they had to get one made outside of the office. They tried to charge me for the appointment to put the new one on. Because I complained they didn't. However, my crown now broke in half. I was told there would be a charge for a new one. Funny thing I had one other crown done at another dentist 20 years ago. That crown is still absolutely fine. Save your money and go to a good dentist if you need real dental work done

However the staff were very friendly and helpful Stephanie was so nice informative and kind. Everything was explained to me at every step. I felt no pressure for any additional treatments that I did not need. I felt like they were all there just to ease my pain and improve my health

Fantastic experience: The staff and the office are first rate! I had a single appointment for a cleaning, and they were able to accomodate my desire to have a missing filling replaced. Everything accomplished in a single visit... Awesome! The entire experience was very professional!

Fantastic experience: Robinson dental in Coopersville is absolutely wonderful. They are gentle, kind and take the time to explain options. They are not pushy or demanding which I have found some dentists to be in the past. For anyone who is anxious about going to a dentist this is the place for you. I have never felt more comfortable, heard or respected in a dentist office.

Fantastic experience: Super glad we were forced to change dental practices. I'm super afraid of going to the dentist and I can safely and happily say I am over the moon about Robinson Dental. From the minute I was able to make my appointment and enter everything online I knew I found a place that really cared about me as a patient. Also I didn't have to CALL for questions and appointments during office hours only. That was just the beginning!!! From the moment I stepped through the door I was treated with respect and as if I was a real person and not just a patient or inconvenience. There was a welcome sign with my name on it and a cup of coffee available while I waited. Next amazing thing is that I was greeted by the hygienist and welcomed back to the patient room. No closed doors. Quick and easy x-rays, listening to what I had to say and the MOST GENTLE DENTAL CLEANING I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I'm sold. I'm also upset at myself for not moving from my old office to this closer one earlier. Update : still amazing! I have told many others to move to Robinson. They are over the moon for the suggestion.

Positive experience: They were very friendly to me and I was told that they would follow up with me the next day because their computer system was down. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I called them twice (they were exceptionally pleasant on the phone) to get my treatment plan, and it wasn't what the dentist had told me.

Fantastic experience: I went in to have work done and Dr. Mike talked to me every step of the way what he was doing. He took his time answering ALL of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. From the minute you check in to the minute you check out everyone is very friendly and helpful. Every team member I've had interaction with has been very polite, kind, and considerate. I've never had the impression that they were just trying to sell me on something I didn't need. They never make you feel bad about the state of your teeth but want you to have a smile you are proud of.. they have worked with me for the past 5 years to restore my smile and I cannot thank them or praise them enough. Annie has been wonderful as my care coordinator and makes sure everything is where it needs to be. You can’t go wrong with this family oriented company.
