This is the 4th dentist I've taken my children to (moving) and I don't care if we move to New Mexico next, I will fly Charlotte to take my kids here. Every single staff member from the reception desk to check out was incredible. The dental hygienist was so patient with my autistic child, the dentist was very informative and even let me decide how to treat the dental needs. I am so happy that my family has found Belmont Pediatric Dentistry! Update 2025: I had a new hygienist today, Courtney. She is incredible! So patient, optimistic and kind to the kids. Fantastic experience: This dentist office is 20 minutes away from my house, but it is definitely worth it because every single time I go my daughter and I enjoy the experience. She is just a toddler and I can barely get her to open her mouth and it’s always a fight to brush her teeth but when we came for our visit today, she was so comfortable that she laid back and allow them to brush her teeth without putting up a fight. Absolutely love these ladies that are in this office. Saw Courtney today for first time X-rays and she did amazing at making my little one feel comfortable with X-ray instruments.

Fantastic experience: From the greeting at the front desk, to checking out and EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE in between….. ourcexperience was top notch. The facility was colorful and inviting. My grandson felt at ease and comfirtable. Having glasses to wear and being able to watch a kid friendly movie while laying there was a plus. The dentist was thorough and answered all my concerns. We changed from our other dentist to this one despite this dentist is not in ourctown. Although it was only 30 mins away.

The Dr was also professional and friendly. I was worried when my regular dentist assistant and dentist were not available but I was relieved we found the staff to be attentive and caring!

They always get my 3 boys in and out without any issues. They are extra extra patient with my youngest one and have helped my 7 year old Autistic baby overcome his fear of the dentist. Fantastic experience: We started bringing our two children here in January of 2025 (ages 2 and 1). The initial appointments for check ups were wonderful and my kids felt really comfortable- even as young as they are. We saw Dr. Goss at this appointment and I was so pleased with the care we received from her. More recently our youngest had a dental emergency after hours. We called the after hours line and very promptly received a call back from Dr. Akamnonu who was tremendously helpful in making me (a panicked mom) feel much better about the situation. Our daughter was seen the next morning urgently by Dr. Gotschalk. And while ultimately the outcome was the loss of a tooth- Dr. Gotschalk did an amazing job at explaining our options and making our daughter (and us) feel as best as we could. The nurses have also all been amazingly kind at every visit. And while I have no doubt that my daughter will have some dental anxiety after her accident, I know she will be in good hands here.

Having a child who has severe anxiety can make simple doctors or dental visits difficult. However, this office has the most relaxing, kid friendly, low-key environment. From the moment you walk in the door you can feel the positive energy. The “ENTIRE” staff continues to show nothing but kindness, pleasantry, and helpfulness. The dentists go the extra mile in answering questions, clarifying and thoroughly explaining everything. Not to mention making my daughter feel comfortable and at ease before they start her treatments or cleanings. Last but not least the hygienist Mrs Lena always goes above and beyond! She is “TOP KNOTCH” and deserves recognition for her hard work, kindness, knowledge and having the best bed side manner I’ve ever in countered!!! This young lady definitely is a valuable asset to the company!! Fantastic experience: My son is autistic… considered non-verbal… a gentle giant.. Belmont Pediatric Dentistry has always been so patient, understanding and encouraging. This past visit he actually allowed the hygienist to utilize the electric toothbrush to do his cleaning. As he will be turning 18 this year… I was concerned about finding a new provider. Let’s just say.. ask and it shall be given unto you! I applaud the staff and providers and thank you for caring for my son!

Fantastic experience: Haley received excellent dental care today. She had a cleaning and also sealant applied to her teeth. The staff made every effort to create a positive atmosphere and it was well received by Haley. All around, Belmont Pediatrics has always gone above and beyond to provide the highest level of dental care during Haley’s past dental surgery and office visits! It requires that we drive out of town in order for Haley to receive care but it has definitely been more than worth it! I would highly recommend Belmont Pediatric Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit to Belmont Pediatric Dentistry, and I must say this place is absolutely amazing for kids! I brought my two busy toddlers and had my hands full, but Mya, Kia, and Tutu went above and beyond to help. They played with my kids, helped redirect them when they wandered, and stayed with me the whole time, making the experience so much easier. Their kindness and support made me feel incredibly comfortable. Dr. Somto was fantastic—prompt, informative, friendly, and incredibly patient, even when my kids were giving her a hard time. She handled everything with such care and professionalism. At checkout, Gemeyal and Cara were so professional and friendly. They answered all my questions and were extremely helpful. Overall, I’m so happy to have found this dentistry for my kids. The entire staff is wonderful, and I’m excited to keep coming back!

Fantastic experience: Our three boys have been coming here for over a year and we love it. The facility is bright & clean, it’s fairly easy to get appointments that work for our schedule, and the entire staff are really great! We especially love Tulani, who greets us at the front desk. We have never had a poor experience here. Thank you BPD for your dedication to providing and teaching our boys proper dental hygiene.

Fantastic experience: I have 2 Teenage Boys ages 14 & 16 that are patients at B•P•D and it is certainly by far the BEST dentist around our area! The Dentist, nurses and all staff are SUPER CARING and always make us feel welcomed and appreciated! The office is always very clean, they always have a kids movie playing in the waiting area and the office is always decorated! I really like that they always send you a reminder text before your scheduled appointment to let you know it's coming up, and if you're a busy family like we are, sometimes it's hard to remember all the appointments so that's definitely a plus for me! I love that they have a tall regular door for the bigger/older kids and a tiny door for the smaller/younger ones! I want to recognize a staff member who works there that has always went above and beyond for my family, and her name is Cara, she is very sweet and always so full of life and always smiles! They all have positive energy and make you feel appreciated! I highly recommend B•P•D if you're looking for a new dentist for your children!

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my daughter here for 2 years or more now and I have been satisfied with the staff and how comfortable they make her feel. They are a bit busy but I guess this is a great thing nowadays.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with this dental practice. The facility is absolutely beautiful, and despite being very busy with many patients, the staff was incredibly friendly and patient throughout our visit. Both of my children were seen on the same day, and the team took their time to make sure everything was addressed thoroughly. They reviewed an x-ray and even took an additional one that one of my children needed, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I’m very happy with the care we received and highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: Been taking my boys here almost 6 years now. We plan on staying until they get too old wonderful staff and the lady up front who always checks us in is always smiling and super sweet. The nurses in the back makes the boys laugh the whole time. They feel so welcomed we've never had any problems with ANY of the staff. Or any problems with making appointments or booking for 6 months ahead. Very organized and professional with lots of laughs and smiles through the whole visit. If I got rate a full 10 I would!!!! Recommend 1000000/10 any day. We drive a full 50mins and wouldn't trade it for nothing.

Fantastic experience: It is always a great experience but today we saw Kia for our cleaning and she was amazing! She was the sweetest and we loved her!

Negative experience: We have been patients here for roughly 4 years. There seems to be lots of turnover in dentists which is difficult when your child gets used to one. Also, the method of contact to acquire confirmation 72hours prior to appointment is incredibly frustrating!!! For example, twice I have received calls while I'm at work in a setting that I am not allowed to be on my cell phone and have been left voicemails that I must call back by 5pm or the appointment will be canceled. I got the calls around 10am, and I can't even listen to my voicemail until almost 6pm. I'm probably going to be finding another dentist.

Fantastic experience: This place was AMAZING. So cute inside, very clean, all employees were super nice. I'd recommend to everyone. The little door was my daughter's favorite and the tvs you can watch during your examination.

Fantastic experience: We are very pleased with Dr. Somoto care for our grandson. She is exceptionally patient and thorough. We are grateful for her professionalism and commitment. The office team is pleasant and the environment is child friendly and clean.

Negative experience: The dentist were good but the billing system is horrible. They make you pay upfront for services that insurance covers and will credit your account once the insurance pays. There were too many billing discrepancies and going back and forth about what my insurance pays vs their system. For this reason I changed dentist for all of my children.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't find my 3 year old a dentist in Gastonia, so I came here. They are super kid friendly, and my daughter really enjoyed her first trip to the dentist. Well worth the drive.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give 10 stars. From the moment we walked in was amazing. Tutu INSTANTLY gave good vibes and was warm. She gave my nervous son a squish animal that eased him. Mya was AMAZING! She was so patient, sweet, friendly, and kind. She made my son a personalized gift bag to take home and gave him another toy and we were leaving. Dr. Goss was amazing , too! She was very patient, calm, and a great dentist. Mya was truly the gem of the visit. We are excited for the next cleaning because of her!:) Thank you!!

Negative experience: It seriously felt like we were superstar patients!! The energy, positivity, and humor started when we walked through the door! We were greeted like it was a red carpet roll-out! Within 5 minutes, we had been called back!! The fun, laughter, and all-around happiness continued as we made our way from cleaning, over to x-ray, care plan with the dentist, and pictures to capture what a great time we had at the dentist!!! Thank you to the staff who truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!! The follow-up visit was HORRIBLE!!! The assistant that was in the room was disrespectful to me as a mother, as well as to my child who was in pain!! I cannot believe she works with the public, especially children!!

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the treatment my family and I received at this establishment. Despite my wife's busy schedule and my military commitments, we made every effort to accommodate the appointments for our children. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel and reschedule one of our children's appointments. Without any prior warning or communication, the management decided to dismiss our entire family. To add insult to injury, when I took my teenage daughter for her appointment, we were shockingly refused service. The receptionist informed us that the management had made the decision to dismiss our entire family because of the cancellation of one appointment. Even my wife, who was not informed of this decision, was taken aback. While I can understand a fee for cancellations or rescheduling, completely dismissing a whole family is an unreasonable and unjust practice. This is the first time we have ever encountered such treatment, and it is beyond unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering this business to think twice before entrusting them with their appointments and services. The lack of professionalism, communication, and empathy displayed by the management is truly disheartening. We will certainly be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

Negative experience: My daughter had been going here for a couple years and I like coming here. Then a new staff comes and to me things change. My daughter needed to have surgery done so she was sent to a office in Charlotte because they claimed she age out at Belmont and it wasn’t nothing they can do for her which I didn’t understand because one her classmate goes there as well and he’s a year older then her and he’s still there. So it was a lot of confusion going on after she had the surgery because I was told to follow up back with them. When I get there I noticed the dentist was looking at me crazy like she didn’t know why I was there because she said again my daughter age out. I just think they didn’t want to be bothered with her so I took her to another dentist.

Fantastic experience: My child has been with Belmont Pediatric for a while now. Every time we go in they are always so polite and accommodating. Mya was so patient and nice. She explained everything that was going on thoroughly. Didn’t mind answering questions and did an amazing job at keeping my daughter calm. Dr.Somto was a pleasure as well. Fantastic experience: I took my granddaughter in for a cleaning. She needed 2 baby teeth pulled. They fit her into the schedule and we're able to get us in and out quickly. They were very compassionate. I want to thank Dr. Manchevy, Mya and Sofia for taking such wonderful care of her.

Posted previously but had to come back to add just how amazing this practice is. My son has sensory issues and they are so extremely patient and caring here. 10/10 experience.

Negative experience: Every time we go, we have issues with my son's fear, but every single time we get patient kind people who can help. He always leaves smiling. We LOVE this dental office for our kids! Update: NO LONGER ABOUT KID FRIENDLINESS Yesterday, 3/4/24 was the last and final straw for me. The doctors have changed out so many times. My son has autistic tendencies (sensory overload being one of them) and EXTREME dental anxiety. He has gotten immensely better over time and Dr. Noah was wonderful with accepting when he said he was overwhelmed and needed a minute. Unfortunately, that doctor is no longer there. I have it notated on his file and I consistenly remind the staff when we go to every appointment of these issues with my son. Yesterday he had to get a filling and got overwhelmed. He voiced his upset, as did my husband, and the doctor ignored him. She then complained that he is 11 and should know better. After struggling to get my son to open his mouth because he was doing everything he could to calm himself down while being overestimated while someone FORCED him to just simply get over it, my husband called me. I had a chat with my son and we eventually got him to open his mouth. In the meantime, the doctor complained about the appointment being 4 minutes over the alloted time. If you are going to work with kids, have some compassion! I was absolutey enraged and my son will be getting dental work somewhere else from now on. Had I been there instead of my husband, I would have left. This used to be a kid friendly place. The rest of the staff is usually not a problem, but it does NOT negate the lack of acceptance to human emotion and communication my child faced yesterday. It's all about the bottom dollar for them and it's absolutely sad when you are working on kids to focus solely on that.

Negative experience: Love this dentist and the whole staff. Best pediatric dentist by far. UPDATE 02/29/24::: The entire staff has changed, and not for the better. The office staff in the front are pretty dry now, the dentist… sicken me! I absolutely do not like anyone there anymore. They are no longer “kid friendly”. Which ever dentist did the fillings on my children complained about stuff that we should not hear about, ever. Also, who puts a crown on a 5 year old that has baby teeth still. I don’t know what happened to Dr.Cooke and the couple others that were there years ago, but since they aren’t there, it’s not the same. Time to find a new dentist

Negative experience: It was my sons first dentist visit and it was great. The women Liz had a wonderful personality and put me an my son at ease the entire time with her. Very knowledgeable and can clean my son’s teeth with no problems!!! sometimes I can’t even do that. She really made the whole experience great and we can’t wait to see her again. Update: 2/28/2023 My wife, my now 3 y/o, and my 2 month old we all on the way to the appointment. We live maybe 30 mins from the location so my wife leaves over an hour early to make it there on time. Unexpected accidents on the highway caused stand still traffic so my wife calls and lets the know she might be late. The receptionist says they are firm on their 10 min grace period. I agree that dental officers should have something like this but when people call and state that regardless of proper planning unexpected things happen that are out of our control, I think grace should be given and it wasn’t. My wife made it to the location 5 mins after the 10 min grace period to an almost empty parking lot and the receptionist says they can’t see my 3 y/o, so my wife has to take my infant and my son and drive all the way home after fighting traffic and asking for the time off from work. The level on unprofessionalism is egregious and working in the medical field I’m ashamed of this place. The had my sons birthday wrong in their system and never verified that until today. They have always been short and not welcoming with my wife when she comes in so this separation has been long over due. I think more people need to be honest with their reviews of this place, they tell you to leave a 5 star review on google and then after you give it they treat you horribly. I have changed my opinion on this place and I hope you will proceed with caution before coming here.

Negative experience: Usually when I visit this place, things went smoothly with the hygienist and dentist. I have had issues in the past with the receptionists being pretty bland and inattentive, but nothing too severe. As I confirm my appointment online, I realized that this whole time they had my son’s birthday wrong, but this was never confirmed with me before. On this occasion, I had an early Appointment, mind you I am 30 to 45 minutes away from the location. I left home at a decent time and experienced large amounts of traffic on the way. I called them ahead and said I might be 15 minutes late because of the unexpected Traffic. The receptionist just said sorry but the grace period is 10 minutes. I tried to arrive within the 10 minute but it wasn’t possible. I stood outside with my newborn and toddler in the car that I woke up at 6:00am to get to this 8:00 appointment. I called the receptionist again and asked, you really can’t see me now? She mentioned they had a “busy” schedule ahead while I’m seeing a fairly empty parking lot. I then asked if there was any way they could fit me in, in the next 30 minutes so I can make it back to work, she said nothing until 10:40 am. I understand and respect times, on this occasion, I was not at fault for the unexpected, I would’ve at least appreciated if she tried to check with the hygienist and went out of the way to see if there was any room. But now I drove for an hour and drove back without any service for the day. The drive was an inconvenience but I’ll definitely be going somewhere closer to home for better service.

Fantastic experience: This was my 2 year olds first ever dentist appt she was asleep until I got back into the room so it took a while to get acclimated, but the hygienist was very patient with her. The dentist was able to get a quick glimpse at her teeth, but didn’t push her too much. I am hoping the next one will be easier.

Negative experience: Over text on a Tuesday, I received a message to confirm my son's appointment which had been made 6 months prior. I confirmed. I then got a text saying they would see him on his appointment date. It was confirmed. Friday I get a call from Lisa who left a message saying since it was never confirmed his appointment was canceled. I called. The woman at the desk was saying she showed nothing for my son. She was saying appointments had been shuffled around because they only were going to have 1 dentist instead of 2. So, I finally got Lisa on the phone. She stuck with her story. I told her I would forward the text. Regardless, regardless I was lied to somewhere.

Fantastic experience: The best pediatric dentist office I’ve ever taken my kids to! They’re super nice, from the front desk to the dental assistants to the dentist herself. Thank you Ashley, Vee & Dr. Goss for giving us such a positive, safe, friendly and clean experience!!

Fantastic experience: The staff was so kind. Mya and Sally made my kids so comfortable, they actually WANT to go to the dentist. The wait was not unreasonable at all. Overall, a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Brought my kid in today for his cleaning. We were greeted upon entry and the staff were quick to bring my child back to brush his teeth! Dr. Goss and her assistants were great with my child! We love coming here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful and welcoming pediatric dentist office!

Negative experience: Just the best, caring, excellent service, clean environment,… Some nurses need to stop bothering the other nurses while working by talking so load about other patients or coworkers ignoring that she is in charge of your kids. Review after a lapse of time: They aren’t the same, lately no one answers the phone, too slow getting back to patients, they need a new management to run the place

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure, Riley loves coming here and the staff are absolutely great with kids. Maybe being able to watch Disney Plus while getting their teeth worked on helps? She also looks forward to the goodie bags after the appointment is over, too.

Fantastic experience: Every one is really nice they take there time with little kids and teenagers. My boys been coming here for years my oldest just aged out they gave me recommendations to Clinics i can take him too. I have no complaints. Thank you guys for all you do..
