Fantastic experience: Arielle and Dr Josh were amazing. My son was very comfortable ans suffers from some dental ptsd after a horrible absess a few years ago. Today was a breeze they did absolutely amazing! Cleaning, sealing and a cavity drill and fix!!! Without the use of laugh gas and it was smooth sailing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Both absolutely great!

Fantastic experience: I brought my son Ace in today, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Arielle and Dr. Risa took incredible care of him — patient, gentle, and truly attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about kids and know how to make them feel comfortable. The whole team at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids is amazing. They explained everything clearly, treated my son with so much kindness, and made what could’ve been a stressful visit feel easy. Ace is doing great thanks to them. Negative experience: Lack of Transparency in Billing I normally don’t leave negative reviews because I understand not every experience needs to be criticized. However, today was frustrating and I feel transparency is important. To start, the staff, doctors, and facility are all wonderful. They are welcoming, professional, and I’ve never had an issue with the quality of care. My concern is strictly with the lack of transparency regarding billing. My daughter was scheduled today for a filling based on her previous visit where she had X-rays and a cleaning. I pulled her out of school and brought her in. She was given laughing gas — which I expected to pay out of pocket for, and I had no problem doing so because it helps her have a good experience. During the appointment, the doctor let me know there was actually no cavity present (which I appreciated). Since my daughter was already on laughing gas, they offered to do sealants, and I agreed (since I already paid for the laughing gas). Mid-procedure, the billing department informed me that the sealants would not be covered because insurance only covers them every 3 years, and her last sealants were in 2023. Had I been told this prior to starting, I absolutely would have chosen to wait a few months so the service would be fully covered. Instead, I was unexpectedly responsible for the full cost. The office did end up writing off the laughing gas charge since it turned out to be unnecessary, which I appreciated — but I still had to pay out of pocket for the sealants that would have been covered soon. This visit was scheduled solely for a cavity that she did not have. The sealants were only done because we were already there and she was already medicated — not because they were urgent. If I had been informed upfront about the insurance coverage timing, I would have postponed the sealants. Especially during difficult times (like the current government shutdown affecting federal employee pay), clear and proactive communication regarding costs makes a big difference. A simple heads-up before proceeding would have avoided an unnecessary expense and frustration. I hope the office can improve communication on treatment costs and insurance coverage so other families can make informed decisions before services are performed.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 4-year-old in with modest expectations, unsure if the dentist would even be able to address his dental issues. To my surprise, the team exceeded every expectation. They completed X-rays, a full exam, and even extracted the tooth that was causing him discomfort — all with patience, compassion, and professionalism. They took care of his pain immediately and treated him with exceptional care. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and reassuring. I highly recommend this dental office for children’s dental care.

Fantastic experience: We have always had such great experiences at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids. Dr. Kelsey Brar is always patient, friendly, communicative, and helps the visit feel easy and not scary for kids. All of the staff are friendly and helpful too. At our most recent visit, Arielle did a fantastic job applying sealants. She was thorough, reassuring and caring, and helped our child feel comfortable through the entire procedure. We are so grateful for the wonderful care this team provides!

Fantastic experience: Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids does such a great job with pediatric patients. Our daughter (3 yrs. old) had a tough time going to another peds practice but she has no issues whatsoever at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids. We are grateful for the excellent work!

Fantastic experience: Our 5-year-old was nervous about his first dentist visit, but Maritza, Dr Innes and the staff made it so fun and easy. The office is bright and welcoming, and they have games and stickers that kept her entertained. The dentist explained everything in a kid-friendly way, and she even laughed during her cleaning! We left with helpful tips for brushing and flossing at home. We highly recommend this clinic for any parent looking for a gentle, caring, and fun dentist for their children.

Fantastic experience: We love coming into this cheerful office. My ASD son is taken care kindly and gently. The team are very understanding. They do their best to make him understand what's going to happen and make sure he is comfortable. They also explain to me everything I need to know before and/or after which I appreciate. My son enjoyed saying Melanie's name over and over. I guess that means he liked her. Arielle was especially sweet, kind, and patient with him Thank you for everyone's smiles

Fantastic experience: Arielle did great. This was my son’s first time here. He was very nervous and scared. He is such a sour patch. She knew how to calm him down. The whole team did amazing. Walked out and gave the thumbs up! He couldn’t wait to get home and let his big siblings know all that went on his first visit. Came home with lots of fun stuff and even came home with a new Spider-Man big boy electrical tooth brush.

Fantastic experience: I admit I was a little nervous coming in because this is the first time my little one was going to get her teeth checked. Once we came in everyone was so nice and welcoming, literally welcomed us with open arms! Had a mini consultation about asking what my little likes and what she is in to. I really enjoy that a lot because it shows me that they want to make this a pleasant experience for my little one. At the end of that my little one received a care baggie full of great stuff. Even after knowing my little one’s birthday they gave her a cute stuffie! While my little one was getting her teeth checked and brushing, they’re were really patient and understanding. They reassured me that it is ok that my daughter may have a tough time but having me in the room with her is good for her. Even when she was not cooperating, they presented her with a stuffie to have to calm her down. Overall, this is the best place for any child to go to. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: My son has had severe dental anxiety for a little while and we have been trying to get a tooth fixed for over a year with no success. No one was able to make him feel comfortable enough to push through the fear and do it- well today- as I breathe a big sigh of relief -it was finally done!! Everyone at this office is simply amazing. Ebony was able to help me out with getting things sorted for paying for the dental treatment. Today my son was seen by Dr. Kelsey and Maritza. They both talked to my son about all his interests, and kept his mind distracted while they were able to numb him. I have easily been to a dozen dentist trying to get this work done and everyone would just give up on him. We will be coming to this office until we cant anymore! Simply the best. I am so thankful & grateful that they were able to ease his mind and get the work done. My mom heart is very happy today! Thank you all so much for your amazing dedication to the kids you treat!!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience for my daughter! This was her very first dentist appointment and the staff and Dentist were super nice and did a very thorough 1st checkup on my child. Plus, they welcome you with a coordinator and a goody bag! How awesome is that! The office is super clean and the wall art is so beautiful! My daughter didn’t cry and the hygienist Maritza was very good with her! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!! Fantastic experience: I'm very impressed with this place! The dentist can be a scary place for kids, but the staff here makes sure my daughter has a positive experience from beginning to end. Fantastic experience: My 2 year old had a freak accident and fell, hitting her mouth on the coffee table on a Sunday causing what we think was an intrusion injury. First thing on Monday, we went to our dentist Elmhurst Family Dental and they called across the street to the Kids dentistry to see if they could see us. They told us to come over immediately and they could get us in. So first off, thankful that the two business communicate with each other! When your child gets hurt, it can be totally traumatic and stressful. The staff behind the desk were SO incredibly helpful. Getting us in and established as new patients. They call you into an office and go over some details like what your child likes (characters or shows) and ask you a couple other questions before walking you through the process of how they’ll try to get X-rays on a screaming 2year old etc. Walking back to the patient rooms, you notice all of the fun paint on the walls, all animal themed, making it so inviting. I was visibly upset because my daughter was scared with the X-rays and the hygienist was great, giving her a stuffed animal and being flexible with how we can get the images done. Doctor Josh was thorough and explained everything after he sang the ABCs while examining her. I left knowing that this is a place I trust and will continue to take my children to. Edit: we had a follow up appointment for my daughter and just like the first visit, they were so great with her. We had Maritza for our dental assistant and she was outstanding. 10/10 recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Elhmurst Dentistry for Kids was amazing with my autistic daughter Emma in her first visit. Steve and Kenyada were very helpful when I called to make the appointment and using dental insurance for the first time. Arielle was very professional with Emma and explained to both of us step by step what was going to happen. Emma was very happy and cooperated with the procedure. They have the best equipment and technology as well to make the kids feel secure. Dr. Kelsey was amazing, very sweet and delicate to treat Emma. Finally, the coordinator in charge of care plans and insurances was incredible and helped me find the best way to get treatment for Emma. I definitely recommend this dentistry for kids and the entire team work together to make parents and patients feel care.

Positive experience: I have been bringing my kids there since last year. The staff there are great they take their time explaining things. Even how the procedure will go to the kids and always praise the kids on how well they did or doing in the chair. Very clean office and great team work amongst the staff. Negative experience: I even checked with my cousin who also comes here to make sure I wasn’t alone in how I feel about this place now… we both will not be back with our children. They treat you like you’re buying a car, only want the most money from you and everything is scripted. My son was just in for a cleaning and they hardly did that. He was interrupted for asking me what flavor toothpaste he likes because that’s what kids do… the assistant was frustrated with him because he could barely understand her while her mask was only covering her mouth and not her nose so everything sounded mumbled to begin with. 6 years ago they were a good place to come… not sure what happened in the last year but definitely don’t feel that way anymore.

She has a motherly approach to the children which is so important and appreciated. My daughter has autism but handled getting her cleaning done with Maritza with no need for laughing gas or the snug jacket. She is truly one of a kind. Fantastic experience: We have been going here for a few years now. Each time the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and attentive to me and to my daughter. They always take time to explain things to Josey in a way she understands and they answer/respond to all her questions and statements (Josey is quite the talker). They make the experience so positive and fun that my daughter doesn’t have a chance to be scared or anxious. I can’t recommend them enough. UPDATE: today (4/28/25) was my 2 year olds first dentist visit. She has some sensory issues among other things and the whole staff was just outstanding. Maritza was the tech who just made Saraí feel at ease with her warm and comfortable approach and it made me feel so much better how she was able to keep Saraí calm and relaxed the whole time and in turn she made me feel at calm and relaxed. We’ve been through a lot with her and I cannot recommend this place enough for what they have done with both my girls!!!! Dr Josh was great also with bedside manner and his approach with my daughter. Just love them and their approach to my tiny humans. That’s the immediate post dentist visit selfie for mama.

Fantastic experience: Dr Josh and Melanie did an amazing job with my 7 year old at his appointment. He needed to have a baby tooth pulled because his adult tooth was already in. They were both so kind and explained every step of the process. I absolutely LOVE taking my boys there. Fantastic experience: We had an excellent experience at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids! I brought in both kiddos for cleanings and exams. Jessica and Gabby were super sweet to the kids, and they made them feel comfortable during the cleanings and xrays! The doctors are top-notch. I love that my kids have a good feeling about going to the dentist and we are building great dental habits from a young age.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very patient with my son given he has autism and doesn’t sit down when he’s in the lobby had difficulty either with the brushing or flavor they were using. There was some yelling and kicking, but as always the staff was patient and kept their composure. As always, everyone was amazing!

Fantastic experience: Maritza and Gabby were fantastic with my two sons! My oldest (age 6) used to be absolutely terrified of dentists and this was his best appointment yet! No tears and just lots of smiles. My youngest (almost age 3) had his first ever appointment and they made him feel so comfortable and it went great. They even asked about his favorite things ahead of time and they had bubbles for him to help calm him down if needed. 100% would recommend Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids, and you'll be even luckier if you had Maritza and Gabby helping your little ones.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to ELMHURST Dentistry for Kids for several years. My girls are very comfortable here and love the dentists and hygienists, especially Jessica. I am always amazed at their attitudes and super positive and bubbly personalities, it would be exhausting ;) they are thorough and honest with care and treatment recommendations.

Fantastic experience: Steve, Maritza and Dr Kelsey really helped in an emergency. They were able to see my son as a new patient after he was injured at school and chipped his front top permanent tooth. As you can imagine, it was not only stressful and dramatic, there were so many tears. On top of it, my son had a very special day coming up. He published a book and was reading it to an audience at Barnes & Noble the next day. The last thing he could imagine was not having his smile. Dr. Kelsey worked really hard with him, got him to calm down and fixed his smile. I have so much appreciation for the compassion and kindness we received. Thank you for helping out and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience! Maritza has been my son's dental hygienist since he was 2 years old and we absolutely love her. I love that we always get to see her, it's makes the visits very comfortable for him. It's very obvious that Maritza loves her job and her "friends" (how they refer to the kids). The entire office staff is just AWESOME and the office setting is all about the kids. I would refer anyone I know looking for a children's dentist. I am not looking forward to the day he is too old to come here.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her first visit at Elmhurst Dentistry and it went extremely well. All the staff from the front desk to the greeter were so nice and attentive. Our dental assistant was Maritza and she was great. My 3 yr. old was nervous and scared and Maritza did her best to make her comfortable and involved her in all aspects to get through the exam. Dr. Kayla was also great and explained everything really well. I'm so happy to have brought my child here and will be bringing my other kids here too.

Fantastic experience: We live in Glen Ellyn, but nowhere is better than this place!! They are always bright-eyed and bushy tailed; so kind!!! We have been coming to them since about 2017!! I enjoy their lobby and movies as well; when waiting for the kids’ dental treatment! Maritza, Ivy, and the rest of the gang are the best! The front office as well. Everyone is cheerful and easy-going!

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so kind and professional! I am so glad to have such a wonderful dental team for my kids ! My third baby was born a week and a half ago and came with a surprise natal tooth! Everyone in the office from the receptionists to the dentists have been wonderful! Very grateful for Arielle, Arianna, Dr. Josh and Dr. Kelsey! They made the whole process of the tooth removal smooth and easy! 2 years later and this place is STILL AMAZING! Maritza the dental assistant is so great with kids and so patient and understanding!

Fantastic experience: The best service ever!! Upon arrival Jaime checked us in and explained everything thoroughly. My 6-year-old daughter had to have an extraction and a filling. After receiving her treatment plan from Dr. Jenn, we scheduled to come back the next day. Maritza and Dr. Kelsey performed the procedure and was amazing. They consoled my child as I would’ve. Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful pediatric dental experience. Maritza (the hygienist) helped to make our child (who isn’t even 3 yet) feel totally at ease during the cleaning. She helped distract her with fun songs and explained what was happening at an age appropriate level which made for a phenomenal experience. Dr. Kelsey did the same and was so warm and engaging. Highly recommend if you are looking for a pediatric dental office!

Fantastic experience: After taking my 3 year old to a couple different dentists, I was feeling anxious to try Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids. I was getting used to the idea that all pediatric dental staff are cold and rude. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Ebony met with us in a room to get to know my son as a person, not a patient- his interests, favorite sports, etc. They even had a welcome bag with so many nice gifts including a tshirt. They were so patient and kind with my high-energy boy. I can’t believe they were even able to get x-rays at the end of the visit! It was a very thorough exam that ended with a quick meeting to recap the next steps. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Arielle was amazing. Took her time was soooo sweet with my first time, 5 year old son. Explained step by step what she was going to do. Checked with him each step. Absolutely happy with choosing this place for child dentist.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service! Staff is very nice and know exactly what to do when children are scared or upset with being in a dentist office. They throughly explained what was going to happen during the appointment and helped me keep my son calm. Glad we came here.

Positive experience: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our dental assistant, Maritza, was exceptional with my 12 month old. She took so much extra time to ensure he felt comfortable, even getting down on the floor and playing bubbles with him. As a first time mom, I was able to ask questions and get answers clarified.

Fantastic experience: We had an awesome experience with Arielle at Elmhurst Dentistry For Kids! Everyone in the office was so friendly but Arielle went above and beyond. Her calm demeanor and warm personality made my son so comfortable. She does an amazing job making a connection with the little patient in her chair and talking through everything she is doing in terms that can be understood by little ones. Can’t recommend Arielle enough!

Fantastic experience: As a first time mom with a child with a disability I knew that I wanted to go somewhere dedicated to kids. The dentist was always a traumatic experience for me growing up and I wanted to make sure my daughter didn’t experience the same experiences I did. Let me tell you the second we walked in we were greeted with big smiles and they made sure Kaylee was the center of the appointment. The coordinator meets with you first to go over how the first appointment will go and who the doctor along with the hygienist will be. They even gave Kaylee a welcome bag filled with goodies! Arielle was our dental hygienist and she greeted us with a big warm hello and made sure Kaylee was not rushed and ready to go to the back. Once we were in our own private room she took her time and made sure my daughter was comfortable and answered all our questions we had. If Kaylee needed a break she would stop and she constantly praised and sang songs while cleaning her teeth. Dr. Kelsey was amazing too and sounded just like Ms. Rachel! Right away she asked what our main concern was and went into detail about how her teeth and mouth are growing. I cannot praise Elmhurst Dentistry For Kids enough! Thank you for making my daughter’s first dental experience a breeze!

Fantastic experience: When my kids hear the word Dentist they immediately get afraid and or ah!! We don’t want to go lol but Elmhurst Dentist for kids is one dentist I don’t really have to worry. We’ve been going there over 4 years and are very happy and recommend this place to everyone. The place is kid friendly, nice atmosphere and great vibes. All the employees are so friendly and welcoming. They are efficient and helpful with my scheduling as well as the dental assistants that work one on with my children. Yesterday my daughter Andrea (whine was nervous for her check up).Gabby as an assistant and she was so Nice and made her feel very comfortable as well as efficiency with her job. . It definitely makes it easier and less painful with visits especially when the staff is magical when dealing with little kids or older kids. Gabby was great to work with and appreciate all that the elmhurst dentist for kids do to provide excellent service

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Elmhurst Dentistry For Kids made our first experience there one to remember. I originally came for an emergency appointment for my 4 year old who had a loos tooth. Dr. Jerry was informative and helped us understand our options. Our dental assistant Julia was a champ with making sure my son was comfortable during the exam and the extraction we decided to go forward with. There were no complications and he felt no pain. I was so impressed I immediately scheduled an appointment to establish him a patient with an initial exam and also scheduled my 1 year old daughter as well. Great first experience and looking forward to this being our dental home for the kiddos.

Fantastic experience: Arielle was great, attentive and kind with my daughter. She walked us through the steps and was very informative regarding proper flossing and brushing. Doctor Josh took his time to talk with myself and my child about what steps were being done and gave me a peace of mind. Jamie helped guide us with different preventive care practices that are covered by our insurance and what cost out of pocket would be. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to all children!

Fantastic experience: Everything was great from start to finish for my daughter’s first visit here. The front office staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. My daughter is only 11 months old, so the x-rays weren’t the easiest to obtain. The dental assistant, Arielle, was so sweet and patient with her. She was both informative and had a great bedside manner. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a place to bring their children.

Fantastic experience: Super pleased with my son’s care At Elmhurst dentistry for kids. The dentist assistant (Maritza) that took care of my son was amazing if I could give her 100 stars I would. She was super patient and caring for my son who suffers from anxiety sensory issues. I have to say this was the most stress free dentist appointment. Fantastic experience: I took my daughter to Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids to fill some cavities and had a great experience. Arielle, the dental assistant, was kind and patient for the initial appointment and the second appointment to fill the cavities. She made my daughter feel safe and calm. My daughter loved watching Bluey on the screen and smelling strawberry ice cream from the laughing gas. This place knew exactly how to calm my daughter down. My daughter walked out of the appointment saying she felt brave because the doctor “was a professional.”

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dental office. Both of my children have had to have dental work completed, and they have made them both feel so comfortable. Never have I seen an entire team make children feel more welcome than I have in this office. The walls are decorated so colorful, with animal painting through the halls, there is a TV where kids can watch their favorite show over their head during procedures, and my boys always get the cutest prizes at the end. They actually beg to go to the dentist. Extremely grateful for everyone at the practice and will continue to be a loyal customer and recommend this office to all of my friends and family moving forward.

My 5 year old has seen her a few times now and we have requested she be the only tech he sees- she is that good! She is caring, kind and very empathetic to her patient.
