Risas Dental and Braces- Westgate

Negative experience: They hang up when you click 1 to get a call back versus waiting 30+ min and not answering not only this location ALL of risas dental. Go elsewhere where communicating with the office isn’t already hard imagine it being a dental emergency smh

Fantastic experience: The assistant Maria and Dr. Lei were both personable, kind, and made me feel comfortable. I have been going to this location for years and highly recommend them for dental services. Affordable, efficient, and very knowledgeable care.

Positive experience: Expect to wait a long time to be seen. More times than not I am seen 50 minutes to over an hour after my scheduled appointment time. I scheduled a month to two months agead. It's so frustrating.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very kind at this location; Marin who was doing my crown today was professional and very helpful. He took the time to explain different things so I could understand the health of my teeth better. Overall good experience!

Negative experience: This is the worst dental office ever. The staff and doctors are extremely unprofessional. It’s been one thing or the other since I started my treatment. I went in for my lower braces placement at around 5pm and the bracket came right out as we were heading home around 7:20pm. We couldn’t go back and I decided to come back early in the morning. The front representative stated there’s no appointment for that day and the wait will be 45 minutes or more. I asked her if I can maybe have an appointment because we are not sure of the time >45 minutes. She said no, you will just have to wait until someone can see you. If you literally want to receive the worst care ever, come to this location. Even the doctor was addressing me with a pet name like love, honey really?? I literally would try another dental office rather than go to any risas location, I didn’t do my research before picking them. I picked it because it was close to my house and now I am regretting it.

Fantastic experience: I was in there on Monday October 6th for my braces adjustment and the guy i totally forgot his name (sorry)was very polite, good customer service skills and very professional Thank you for doing such a great job. Negative experience: Was a walk in patient not very sure on date checking with insurance company but it was between September 8th or 10th . After the X-rays that were taken The dentist came in & was unapologetically dismissive of my presence. He directed all conversations to the young lady in the room. It took all but 10 min at the most. NEVER introducing himself. Here is what I know of him he had a mustache, dark hair about 5’8” slender built. The young lady present came in and told me everything about my teeth and said i needed a root canal. Gave me a half sheet of papers identifying the teeth numbers and said I need to set an appointment with Valley Endodontics. I managed to set an appointment with the facility on 7th St for September 24th. On September the 21st early morning I called the facility Valley Endodontics to see what my out of pocket cost would be. The office had an opening that day and asked me if I wanted it . Being in pain all this time I jump at the opportunity. A very courteous Dentist addressed my situation after the “3D scan” and said I need an extraction in on tooth and the other 50/50 on the root canal. We talked, I opt for 2 extractions. He then said I need to confirm with you dentist that referred you to me. HIS STAFF called the office RISAS AND THE STAFF AT RISAS Dental confirmed with the dentist that he would do the extractions to send me back. I immediately call while in my car called the office explained the situation to the staff at RISAS dental they booked me for October 6 at 10:30. Doing my due diligence I again called to understand my out of pocket cost. This time the staff said they spoke to the Dentist and he cannot do the extractions because “my roots are to long”. I’ve been in pain all this time I have good insurance not ACCES. This by far is the very worst experience. Office people are not supposed to give you the diagnosis. The character of this office is reflected in its incompetence. Mr owner this office is running by the seat of your pants money you will loose or have lost. I am a professional I will see that my insurance gets this information and I will place reviews every where.

If you’re needing dental work this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: I was traumatized as a child by a dentist and ever since then I don’t like dentist I find my self rescheduling appointments because I get really nervous when the time is getting closer. BUT doctor Larson and his assistant Marin made me feel so comfortable and after I explained my reasons of nervousness they were so helpful. They kept checking on me gave me breaks, I even got jaw massages from Marin. I will definitely go back to this office. Doctors like you guys is what makes the difference Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been to a few Risas dental locations and this location is by far the best one. Starting with setting appointments thanks to Karmen P. I’ve been able to set appointments to fit my schedule. The wait time is less than 10mins to be seen. Also thanks to Adriana A. Who worked on my daughters treatment, she made sure to ask if everything fit perfectly if anything bothered her. Over all everyone is so friendly and making sure we were comfortable.

Negative experience: This place is great for braces if you're paying cash, but if you have insurance that covers orthodontics, they will lie to you and insist your insurance doesn't cover orthodontics.

Negative experience: Just pay for full price on braces. Every time you will need to wait at least 45 for your appointments. You get what you pay for.

Negative experience: The staff is very nice, but I’ve noticed something concerning. Every dental assistant I’ve encountered touches patients’ mouths and teeth with the same gloves they use to type on the keyboard. I’ve even seen them go outside and come back in still wearing the same gloves, then continue working in patients’ mouths. If this happened to me, I imagine it’s happening with other patients too. I think that’s pretty unsanitary and honestly, it grosses me out.

Negative experience: I DO NOT RECOMMEND RISAS. was a good company (WAS) til i had to get my braces off and they didn’t scan my teeth correctly, making me pay another $500 on top of the $4,000 already spent just for them to put braces back on me. Telling me i probably didn’t wear my retainers after i got my braces off. making it my fault? NO! they didnt do THEIR job CORRECTLY!! such a poor job done. even my molds are this way meaning they did not do their job correctly. so save your money time and teeth because this is not worth it.

Fantastic experience: I felt welcomed as soon I as stepped into the office. Martin was amazing on removing my retainer and doing the deep cleaning. Doctor Bassin was also amazing on checking for any cavities. Overall very satisfied.

Fantastic experience: This is the absolute best dental care I’ve ever received. The girls in the front are always kind welcoming and on point. The dentist (Dr Kimball) is down to earth and demonstrates great knowledge in his profession. I am in and out in under a hour and they have the best music playing every time I’m there. The price plans are very manageable and decent. Highly recommend them to others.

Negative experience: I gave my updated number to Risas, double checked in person to make sure they got it but I’ve missed several appointments to later find out they never set up my new phone number ( I get my reminders through there). My appointments are two months set out so I constantly have to wait 3+ months longer for my treatment. The doctor fails to keep me included w my treatment plan and I constantly have to ask the question & ask her to show me what she’s doing.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a tooth extraction and it went amazing! I know that sounds crazy because going to the dentist is a little nerve wracking (at least for me). Dr. Kimball and Adriana had made sure that everything went smoothly, and also made sure I was at ease. I previously went to this location for the Labor of Love and came back because of the experience I have had. This location/dentist has been the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Such great people, and a calming atmosphere. Definitely recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: The name changed but the service has always been phenomenal! The dentists here actually CARE and they always make everything as affordable as possible. I was blessed to participate in a free event with my Daughter and Dr. kimball and Yani took care of me so well! I’ve had other dentists make me feel bad about my oral health, but at Risas they make you feel so comfortable and accepted. They also took great care of my scared teenage daughter, Dr. kimball was so patient, kind and understanding, explaining every step of the way. I literally drive in from CA just to come here because it’s so affordable and amazing. With the costs in California I can get a vacation AND dental work here. Thank you Risas and Dr. Kimball for making us smile!

Negative experience: Ive been a patient for 4 years. I had an appointment today for removal of my braces and for the first time I’ve ever ran late, which was 3 minutes past the 15 minute grace period and I was turned away. My name hasn’t even been called yet!! This is very frustrating and unacceptable. They always changing doctors I can’t wait until I’m done with this place. What an inconvenience.
