Negative experience: First time going to this dentist office called at 8 am to see about pulling a tooth out because I was pain they said come in at 2 today when I got there they took me back to room and told me I would have to come back at 8 in the morning to remove it I said why didn’t you tell me that this morning so I could find another dentist to pull it today after that ten minutes later they came back in telling me they had a cancellation and they could do it . once I was done as I thought I got three miles down the road they called me back told me they forgot to do an X-ray to see if they got it all out then I get there and they tell me sorry I forgot to give you your infection medicine prescription so over all I would not recommend this company to nobody they do not have a clue of how to run a business and take care of there patients

From the very first call to the moment I left, everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They clearly care about making the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I had to have a tooth extracted — not something anyone looks forward to — and I still found myself saying thank you as I left… and I truly meant it. Highly recommend!

I had my second cleaning at Southern Smiles yesterday. It feels more like home than a dentist office from the time you pull into the parking lot and walk in the door. Had 3 teeth pulled and Dr. Casey was great at getting them pulled. The dentist assistant was also carrying and helped me through the anxiety. I will be using their services and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone with dental issues. I visited again since the above post. An emergency that brought the pain only dental issues can. The remarkable staff worked me in quickly and Dr. Redmond fixed my problem at once. I am incredibly impressed with the knowledge, care and dedication of this team. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE you should be going to for all of your dental concerns.

Positive experience: I had a bad experience with the front deck receptionist today. Really don’t remember seeing her before. My husband and I are thinking about coming back. Been going to this sweet family practice decades and everyone that’s been with the family makes you feel your a friend. I ask why I was being charged for the whitener I was on a program and I was quickly told I miss an appointment in 2019 and I had paid for it before. I didn’t remember that, I just remembered there were several times it wasn’t in by little bag and they ran back to get it. She argued and raised her voice. I was surprised someone didn’t say something. She told me she was aware some in the back had done that and she was taking care of that. She told me she would also investigate why I got them for free when I should be paying for it. I was insulted. It wasn’t professional with such an attitude. Disrespectful. It really took away from my usual attitude there. It wasn’t the $12.00, I can pay that, but don’t make me feel like I’m ripping someone off.

Fantastic experience: I am not the type person that leaves comments. I had to make an exception for this wonderful team of people! They are so professional yet so down to earth and friendly. You feel so at ease and never did I get nervous and I have severe anxiety and panic disorder. I have always hated the thought of the dentist but I actually enjoy going to see them. They know what they are doing and they care. They don't treat you like just another patient to make money off of. They treat you like you are the only one there. They erased my fear of the dentist. All my life I have looked for a forever dentist and I have finally found one in them. Amazing staff amazing service. You won't be disappointed!!!;

Everyone did a wonderful job of keeping me calm and not anxious, by talking to me and turning on some good tunes. I dont remember much of anything between getting the IV put in and waking up at 4p.m. in my bed at home. 10/10 would recommend these guys to anybody with high anxiety like me

Fantastic experience: The highest compliment I can give is just today when waiting to be called back I thought of a family that I would call and recommend Casey and Rick for their family. I have told several people that when I would go to my former dentist I felt like I was at a walk- in at the beach. The staff didn’t know you, the dentist didn’t know you (or introduce themselves and try to get to know you) and it simply made for poor experience. I always left there not knowing who to call in an emergency. The tipping point for me at this clinic was the dentist said I needed to have a tooth pulled and was referred to a practice in Auburn or Inverness - take my pick. What? I thought of Rick and got an appointment. First visit I met Casey and she said, “I can do that”. Boom - a patient for life. It’s awfully easy when you try. Casey and Rick have put together a very special practice. It is remarkably innovative, the staff is extraordinary caring, helpful and well trained and each step they take is done with the patient in mind. April, 2025. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 and on my way to the clinic a long, slow Norfolk and Southern train comes through town - and stops. I go to three crossings and there is the train. I have never been late for an appointment ever. It’s 11:02 and I call, knowing I would get a Karen or worse a Karen’s mother. I expected she will say “that’s not our problem followed by the next available appointment is Christmas Eve at 4:30”. No, she says no problem and we will give the train time to start moving and come in at 12:00. What wonderful patient service. Believe me when I say it’s all about the patient. And it’s so easy if you try. To close, I think I only need to paraphrase Snopp Dogg and say “Southern Smiles is like peanut butter and jelly on gold”.

Negative experience: I was going to post a 5 star review because the tooth extrication was very good. But I had major pain the next day. Went back to see if they would help with it and all I got was we're so sorry sometimes that happens just take some Tylenol when I asked for something stronger just for 1 or 2 days they said absolutely not treated me like a drug addit.Did not even let me talk to the dentist himself just a nurse. I'm still in so much pain I can hardly stand it. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!! And I was actually going to let them do bottom implants. But they lost their self several thousands of dollars.
