DentalWorks & Orthodontics Medina Grande

Negative experience: Run.... I haven't met such an unprofessional dental/orthodontics office as Dental Works. I previously switched here when my insurance changed, they were able to get my sons braces on right away. After they installed the braces, no one was ever available to see him, even on emergency bases if the wire or bands fell off. Then the location closed and they said to contact Strongsville. Same case here, I've been trying for 2 1/2 months to get a call back to get in to be seen. Keep your money and go elsewhere. I would rate them a 0 if it was an option.

Negative experience: Switched location for orthodontics without notification. Carrie, the office manager is impossible to get ahold of. Will not return a phone call. Had to send certified mail to cancel my contract and they are still trying to bill me past my last service date. Please go to an orthodontist who has a true full-time practice. This is no way to manage a business!

Negative experience: I won't be returning after hearing about the controversy with Dr. Sedon. Sick

Negative experience: My visits and treatment have been okay, however, my portion of the bill is always "calculated" before I leave the visit and I am required to pay that amount. Well, it Never is as much as they tell me to pay and I always run a credit. My last visit was on 02/06/25 for a normal cleaning and exam, and I was required to pay $112.64. I highly doubted the amount I was being asked to pay, but paid it anyway. The EOB from my insurance company came back as paying the whole amount so now I am desperately trying to get the $112.64 that I paid credited back to my credit card. I have been calling the office and leaving messages asking that this amount be refunded to me. I actually got to talk to the office manager once who confirmed I am due $112.64. I do not understand how they can hold onto my money when the insurance company has paid the entire amount. The office staff "demands" payment at time of service, well I am demanding a refund immediately. Will continue attempting to get my refund. All they need to do is run a refund to my credit card - I work in a medical office and it is not difficult.

Negative experience: Avoid this place they have a dentist that likes to solicit co workers and has gotten to friendly with female patients

Fantastic experience: I needed to get a tooth pulled,they were able to get me in guickly. The staff were very professional and caring,every step was explained and that made me feel more relaxed, Dr Sedon was the best. I made future appointments to take care of other needs. Fantastic experience: The staff there is always wonderful and polite! Dr. Sedon was great and worked on some complicated issues on my teeth. He was great at giving shots in the mouth so that you could barely feel them. I had a bridge made that didn't come out right the first time. We made a second one and it came out perfect! Dr Sedon and his staff were always professional. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: Went in to get a tooth pulled last year. The doctor touched my shoulder way too often and made some comments that made me very uncomfortable while his hands were shoved in my mouth. I didn't say anything at the time and we just decided to not go there anymore. Now we find out the same doctor is soliciting his young employees and had apparently made a habit of this over the years yet still somehow works there.

Negative experience: I’ve had work once by Dr. Sedon, who is also a co partner in owning this establishment, I would not recommend going here to see this oral surgeon to anyone. ESPECIALLY after reading of the most recent ways he treats young women who are employed by him. I am utterly disgusted and feel unsafe to return here for dental work.

Negative experience: Dr.Sedon was very thorough with my exam. Apparently he also does massages after hours.

Negative experience: Office staff incredibly rude, Came in for a check up as a new patient. Received like 20 X-rays ( not exaggerating) from a technician, then a while later another technician came in and checked my gums. Dentist then came in a while later and said you need a filling replaced, another tooth coated with something to prevent a cavity, a tooth pulled, and a deep cleaning without even looking in my mouth. He was in the room 5 minutes? He Says someone will be in to go over the charges for these items after she checks with insurance and left. An hour into this my teeth still haven’t been cleaned? Incredibly rude office lady comes in with printout of services needed and charges. When I start to ask questions and decline the deep cleaning, she gets an attitude. She leaves the room. Another half hour goes by, I finally get up to leave because I’m tired of sitting there waiting and another rude office lady comes in and informs me that they will not be ordering silver filling for me as I requested even though the first rude office lady said they could, she states it’s only one filling and we’re just not going to do that. So I go to the counter to check out. I was waiting to set up an appointment for the tooth extraction. Rude office lady number one after a few minutes states what do you want? We’re trying to go home we’re closed. This Was the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had in a doctors office. Seemed like they only wanted to sell me the expensive deep cleaning and when I declined they weren’t interested in speaking to me anymore…..

Negative experience: BEWARE OF THE SCAM! They will start services before telling you what you will owe they same day! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist, which is sad considering my child has endured dental trauma in the past. I took my 9 year old in for a root canal because her regular dentist does not do them. I booked the appointment 2 days ahead of time and provided the information they requested. I also let them know that my child had experienced dental trauma in the past so they could be prepared for that. When we arrived today they told me that they needed the name and birthdate of the insurance subscriber because they forgot to ask when I scheduled. After that we waited 20 mins past our appointment time before being taken to a room. Once there things seemed to be going fine, except the panoramic X-ray was having issues which meant more waiting. Once they finally got the X-ray done they confirmed that she did need a root canal and asked if I wanted to do it today. I said yes and they started on the numbing process, which is always scary and difficult for my daughter. After she was numb, a receptionist came in to let me know that my daughter didn’t have much of her dental benefits left for the year and I would have to pay in full at the time of service, but they couldn’t tell me the exact cost because they were waiting for their corporate office to add her insurance. But if I needed to pay in full, then why didn’t they know the price? 40 mins after bring numbed we were still waiting. When I asked what was going on, the office manager told me they were still working on insurance because they had just gotten it added. I told them that was not my fault and that they had my number so why didn’t they ask when I scheduled or call me before my appointment, to which they had no response other than ”who scheduled this?” At this point my child is upset and crying because she has been waiting so long, I was also upset feeling like they put me in a bad position in a very unfair way. In a heated tone, I told them that they should have never numbed my child before they discussed payment and that they were scamming me. To which they responded they responded “since you are yelling, we will refer you to an endodontist and no services will be performed today”. I walked out with a crying child who was numb and still in need of a root canal. We were there for over 2 hours and numbing and scamming was all they were able to accomplish.

Negative experience: Called to make an emergency appt. Was told they won't take my insurance over the phone and they would give me claim paper work to get reimbursed by my insurance, I had to pay 211 up front to even get the appt. I go in, and they want my insurance info. I ask if the 211 I paid for would go towards any of the work I'm getting done considering I have great insurance and all my exams, x-rays, cleaning etc are 100 % covered then exteme dental work is 50% covered. I was told no that they make every one pay 211 $ even after I said my insurance covers exams. I continue with my appt because I'm miserable and want relief, the dentist was super nice told me to come in a hour and he will pull my tooth. Then someone else comes back and tells me I can't come back until almost 3 hours later. Mind you I live 45 mins away. So I made an appt for Monday. Today I get a call and they cancel my appt ! So now I'm out 211$ even though I shouldn't have to pay that and now need to find somewhere else to help me with my tooth

Positive experience: Someone named sheryl just hung up on me a few minutes ago . I had an extraction done last summer and was told by two different people in the office that my insurance would cover it all and I owe nothing. A couple weeks ago I got a bill From dental works. They now say I owe them. The dentist and work was great , However other parts of the business are obviously not

Fantastic experience: Oh my Goodness! I have alot to say about Dr Sedon & his staff. First time there and they all made me feel very comfortable. They went out of their way for many things. They really care about your teeth & your smile. Please if you're looking for a Dentist go to DENTAL WORKS IN MEDINA. Across from Home Depo. Karlee & Emily you both are AMAZING. So was the Dental Hygienist. Im sorry i forgot her name. Will post her name later tho. You will NOT be disappointed. Tell them LORIE sent you!

Negative experience: First time I came in for a cleaning, I waited an hour in the lobby before getting brought back. Fine, scheduling errors happen. Second time i came in for some fillings and the dentist was not friendly or sympathetic when i expressed how much pain I was in, and when I told him I needed a second to breathe due to the pain, I was ignored. Came in for the third time today due to some complications with one of my fillings. Made a 2:30pm emergency appointment. Got an X-ray promptly at 2:30pm, the dentist poked and prodded for about 30 seconds, then he left. At about an hour past my appointment time, someone came in saying that they probably will not be able to do any work on me today as they were busy. Mind you, this was an emergency appointment scheduled ahead of time. I ended up leaving after an hour and a half of sitting there. In my eyes, this location has been nothing but unprofessional. I have had dental trauma in the past and my experience with Dr Sedon has made it only worse. Do not recommend!

Fantastic experience: Amanda does an Amazing job! Thankful that Dr Sedon takes the time to determine what the real problems are and not jump to an expensive treatment option until he is sure. Staff is always kind and helpful.

Positive experience: I went to this location for about 10 years before I got fed up with the incompetent office staff that got caught making up lies several times. I loved my hygienist Ginger and will miss her. I just had my 1st appt with my new dentist down the street and she spent as much time in that 1st appt as Dr. Sedon did in all of my 10 years of seeing him. I am not even exaggerating. And my new dentist caught the beginning of issues that DentalWorks never even noticed.

Negative experience: 12/17/24 Edit: Since they've been bought out a year ago the staff has been reduced. I waited with my son for his wisdom teeth extraction appt scheduled for 1pm, finally taken back at 3pm. That is unacceptable! Looking for a new dentist. (Everyone is very friendly and professional.--EDIT 12/19/24-I take back this statement as this portion of my review was from many years ago.) If you want to have a staff member run out after you into the parking lot with the hands waving frantically in the air that you have a copay after saying goodbye to you as you're leaving after your appointment and you tell them you do not and to check your benefits and their smart answer of 'l guess we'll just get in trouble then', then this is your place to go. I have never been so embarrassed for myself and them for this behavior. Turns out after calling my insurance, for whom I work by the way, the representative said they did not have my benefits correct. How does this happen when they are an in network provider?

Fantastic experience: I had my extractions of almost my entire mouth plus some additional work. Dr. Sedon and his assistant were the best. I am feeling well, and no pain and it now is four hours later. The people in the office are wonderful, and this was much better then I thought it would be. highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The front office staff recognize you ad soon as you arrive. Appointments are scheduled so that there is seldom a wait. The hygenist, besides performing cleaning and other procedures, show concern to assure I understand what is necessary to maintain healthy teeth.

Negative experience: My family really liked this dental office until they screwed up their billing. They provided a service that they said was covered under my insurance and when it wasn’t and I argued the charge they said, “Even if it was our fault, you have to pay it”. After about 15+ years of being patients, we are no longer. Shame on their billing dept.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to get your dental needs met. They work really well around your schedule and are always fast and courteous. I really like how they keep you with the same cleaning tech for all of your visits. I can’t recommend this place more!

Negative experience: On the 27th of September I went in for my cleaning because my insurance provides 2 free cleanings per year with zero out of pocket for office visit. Upon leaving I was hit with a $34.00 fee? I was told the fee was for "periodontal mntc" which I did not even request as I just went in for a general cleaning. Furthermore periodontal mntc is fully covered by my insurance. This sort of thing happens almost every time I am in there for a general cleaning and exam. I like the services Dental Works provide, and I like my hygienist and that's what has prevented me from leaving the office for a different one. But I am growing very tired of this and my wife will be pursuing my $34.00 refund.

Fantastic experience: Went there for 2 root canal removals. Difficult ones. My "insurance" had issues but they hung right in there and helped follow up with me and them. Dr. Krajekian did a great job. Healing up nicely today. Great job. They also had a newer x-ray machine. Stand up. It goes around your head. None of that painful insert in and out of the mouth 12 times.....nice.

Fantastic experience: This group is awesome. Eva was very friendly and had a big smile on her face the whole time. Amanda cleaned my teeth and she was so good. This was the gentlest and most painless cleaning I have had in probably 8 years. Cheryl went above and beyond to get my insurance and past dental records straightened out. She was on the phone for probably 45 min with my insurance company and my dentist in Florida, but when she was done, everything was good.

Fantastic experience: Dental Works has provided me excellent service. They are punctual with their appointment times. I never have to wait. The entire staff, from the receptionist, to the hygienist, to Dr. Sedon himself, provide a friendly yet professional environment. They make you feel like family, They are very thorough, and I have complete confidence in their skill sets and abilities. Dental offices have never been one of my favorite destinations, but this Dental Works location has turned what is normally a dreaded experience, into a pleasant one.

And I’m 76 Dr Sedon is the best.And again today the 21rst of November nothing but the best care. Nothing worse than trying adjust an old lower denture that had a soft lining put in. Again I can’t say enough about how good this staff is and professional.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to these people for a few years. Dr. Sedon is my dentist. Great dentist and great guy. Very knowledgeable, always has a plan for every situation. The facility is super clean. I saw some pictures on here that someone said they took at the facility but I find it hard to believe. You can feel good about going here. ***UPDATE*** Just went back today for some fillings and a crown. What can I say except that this place is AWESOME! I love it here and the people are great. Dr. Sedon and Brittany took care of me. I'm horrified to death of dentists but these people are PAIN FREE! I still don't like getting drilled but no pain at all. I'll continue going to these particular people for the foreseeable future.

Dr. Sedon won me over when my daughter was very little. He was so great with her, especially when filling cavities. "Wiggle your toes!" Just super caring & made the whole experience of going to the dentist calming for her. We even had a great experience with orthodontics.

Fantastic experience: I have always been fearful when going to the dentist. I have had a lot of dental work done. Dr. Sedon always takes the time to make sure I am properly numbed up before he begins and is always willing to stop in the middle of a procedure to give me more medicine. It makes a huge difference! I have only had good experiences going to this office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sedon and the staff are all so incredible. I had scheduled an emergency visit for an infected wisdom tooth and he was able to pull all four of them for me. Recovery was VERY quick and so much less painful than I could have imagined, especially considering how bad of a condition my one tooth was. All I had to do was take a nap and the pain was gone. No medication necessary. He has also done a crown and root canal for me. I love my new tooth! I can't wait to continue to embark on my dental journey with this location. Being able to eat pain free, continue to salvage and restore my oral health, and fall back in love with my smile are goals I finally feel are able to be achieved. Big bonus: the staff and the doctor himself all make me feel welcome every time. I've always been very ashamed and embarrassed of my bad teeth, but not once did I feel discouraged as I have with other dentists in the past. Thank you

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit with Brent Sedon. I have been going to another dentist in the dental work practice in Strongsville for 27 years. I tried numerous times to call their office because I was in excruciating pain for two days. Nobody will return my phone call so I drove to the Strongsville practice and asked for help. They could not get me in at Strongsville due to the fact that it must’ve been busy and it was Good Friday. . They were able to set me up with an appointment at the Medina Dental Works with Brent Sedon, He was very busy that day also , It was also Goid Friday and the day before his birthday, so he very clearly had every reason not to take me as a client, But I am so glad that he did because I had an abscess underneath a crown and he was able to take care of it and get me out of pain and put me on antibiotics. He made it painless to have done, and I am so grateful to him for taking me in. I will now be switching from the Strongsville office to the Medina office, where I feel I was better taken taken care of.. Thank you to all the staff. They were so kind in Medina.

Fantastic experience: Had an incredible experience. Dr. Sedon and his staff went above and beyond all expectations. I needed an emergency extraction and they were able to provide service at 11:00 pm. It was a simple set up and they arrived within 15 minutes of my appointment request. I am forever grateful for their care, especially at such a late hour in the day. Minimal pain the next day and it is healing great. I highly recommend this location and will be a returning client myself.

Fantastic experience: They were great!! I broke my tooth and was worried it would get infected and my regular dentist dental works in Strongsville couldn't get me in so they gave me Medina Dental works number I contacted them and they got me in within an hour fixed my tooth. Everyone in the office from front desk, and Sara im pretty sure that was her name she did the xrays and was in with Brent the dentist when he fixed my tooth and she filled it and all better.. They were all very nice and extremely helpful... Thank you ALL!!!!

Fantastic experience: Had my first (of what will be many visits) after 10 or so years without dental care this afternoon (03/21/24)......I went to the Medina Ohio office.....was treated well by the staff from reception to the doctor.... they came up with a plan & took the time to explain it to me.....and offered tips how to not get more cavities (I do have diabetes working against me).....but a good experience from time I walked in til I walked out......

Fantastic experience: The doctor and staff have always been very courteous, friendly and professional. My appointments are always timely and emergencies are handled quickly. The quality of work is very high. My last wait in the lobby was about 3 to 5 minutes and I saw the doctor within 4. I'm not saying everytime would be that fast but its more the norm than not. Pricing is fair and not hidden.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sedon and his entire staff are the best! I just completed today the process of getting a dental bridge and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have a prettier smile than I've ever had! I highly recommend them! Fantastic experience: I have been going to dental works for years and it is the best experience I've had compared to other dentists. Ginger and Dr. Sedon make a great team, they are very personable and will get you in and out timely. Everyone there is friendly and this creates a comfortable environment, so if you have anxiety going to the dentist, this place is for you. I also had a recent tooth implant that was performed by the new oral surgeon, Dr. Krajekian. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. From the front office to all the dental professionals, I highly recommend this office, they have built a great team.

They were able to see me same day for an urgent issue with my teeth. Dr. Sedon handled my care with patience and professionalism and had me fixed in no time. Equally - my hygienist for my cleanings is thorough and kind. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Dr Sedon is hands down the best dentist that I have been to. He takes the time to listen, super gentle and does excellent work. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work but Dr Sedon at Dental Works is the only dentist that I do not have an issue with. I would and have recommended Dr Sedon!
