Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to active dental for several years now and have always had a good experience. The staff are always friendly, they work with you, and are always willing to help.

Negative experience: My experience was pleasant until after my x-rays. I see the dentist on a very regular basis for cleanings and X-rays so I am well aware of good and bad cleanings. This cleaning was one of the worst. The cleaning was very superficial and polishing was lousy. Then, I see Dr. Khan, the dentist. She examined my teeth very rough hitting my teeth with the mirror a lot and miscounting which tooth needed attention. Then, Dr. Khan tells me I need $4000+ with insurance crowns. I was aware from 2 previous dentists opinions that I need a couple of minor fillings but none ever mentioned crowns. I was also repetitively pushed to purchase dental products that I don't need because I already mentioned I have a night guard. This place was a scam and sales pit and I will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: About 2 1/2 months ago I meet the Active Dental team at my work place! They came in for a casual lunch but had no idea that I would be their serving Bartender! I immediately connected with the crew not knowing they were in the Dental field until halfway through the dining experience! Firstly, I remember feeling right at home with these guys while catering to their dining needs, and secondly once I found out it was a Dental needs team it actually felt “God Sent” ! Active Dental is so professional and very well polished! I’m impressed with these guys inside the office as well as outside! Moral of the story is I’ve been in the DFW area since 2018! It’s been 10 whole years since I’ve had a Dentist or dental care! Now, I know for sure I can call Active Dental my Dental HOME! Starting off with Sidney , so warm and professional she totally put me at ease , Rita is awesome and so helpful , My Sons are coming here for their dental needs as well , they have some great prices plans as well making things a no brained . very easy to work with - a lovely place with lovely people !

Fantastic experience: Dr. Darshan was amazing and overall the entire team. Marcy was absolutely the best! I made aware that I had negative experiences with previous dental places and had a bit of dental anxiety. The team made me very comfortable and they were very detailed with my dental plan which gave me such comfort. The whole way they ensured if I needed breaks and were very communicative throughout the process. If you need a dental home, this is the place! Thank you to the entire team there and thank you for restoring my teeth and more importantly my faith/trust!

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so friendly and inviting. The office is more modern in terms of aesthetic and technology. The new patient exam includes a neat 3D scan. I don’t remember the names of the front desk women but they were sweet. Symphony did my X-rays and onboarded me as a new parent , Amelia did my cleaning, and Dr. Darshan Patel was very knowledgeable - everyone was, as well as patient and inviting. They genuinely want to make the experience great for everyone and ask patients what we have concerns about and what we look for in a dentist. For example, I prefer a communicative dentist and Dr.Dashan Patel and his team were all very thorough and communicated each step with me. I have dental anxiety due to traumatic childhood experiences but I felt very comfortable here.

The crown looks natural and fits perfectly. Overall, I felt well cared for and appreciated the attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend this office to anyone.

Negative experience: Please beware of the main dentist here! I want to say that this was probably the worst dentist I have seen ever. My initial experience with booking my appointment and my cleaning was great until I met the doctor. I had my annual cleaning and although I was aware that I may have had 1 or 2 cavities, nothing prepared me to be told that I needed 8 crowns at the age of 23! In addition, I was told that my insurance was out of network which is not what I was told when I called their office weeks before booking my appointment. In addition, a friend of mine was seeing this dentist and also wasn’t aware that he switched providers - mind you he had been seeing this dentist for years! He even had his main hygienist come and try to convince to finance the additional work on the spot through a provider he’s in agreement with - mind you I have good insurance so I didn’t fall for this. I sought 3 separate opinions because of this guy and was never told that I needed crowns - ONCE! Just had a couple early forming cavity, that I didn’t even need lidocaine for because they weren’t deep. The doctor also had his staff call and ask why I would no longer be seeing him to top it off. For all the young people out there make sure to get second opinions and not to trust dentists who send their staff to do their dirty work to butter you up to go through with their services.

Everyone in this office is knowledgeable, friendly, and offers up amazing advice regarding your teeth. Emily did my cleaning and she was very gentle, but thorough and gave me great advice/knowledge to maintain my teeth! Jessica popped in for a bit and brung great energy! I’m so glad I found this place!

Fantastic experience: Active dental in Plano has time and time again provided me with a top tier dental experience. The front of office, hygienists and doctors all are so kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. It’s easy to feel uneasy having dental work done but they make you feel safe and informed at every moment of your visit. I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I found this place on zocdoc after noticing an issue with my bottom front tooth suddenly feeling numb and loose. I have anxiety with dentists but they really made an effort to make me comfortable. Lots of imaging which they went over in detail with me to explain what they were noticing and suggesting as far as overall care. Offered a membership plan since I don't have dental coverage which looks like it'll help with costs. Jessica and Dr. D were great; very personable and down-to-earth, and patiently explained things which helped with my anxiety and understanding of what was being done. Only lingering issue is they couldn't figure out what was going on with my numb tooth, but neither could the dentist I saw before them who suggested a painful surgery but no other information. That said, I'll likely be using this place going forward as my primary dentist.

Fantastic experience: Newer to the area, found Active Dental Plano for a cleaning. Scheduled an appointment for 11am, showed up at 10:45 just in case I needed to fill out any extra paperwork. Was brought back at 10:50 and was given a tour of the office. I was treated like a VIP. Doctor D was super nice and so was everyone else. They actually went in full depth explaining my issues and what I needed done. Definitely the best Dentist office I’ve ever been to. I will not go anywhere else and I highly recommend Active Dental Plano to anyone that is in need or wants a change.

Fantastic experience: This is my first visit and I just loved the way they showed me the place around so m not lost in the puzzle and then Monica was sure enough to keep me guided on the ways she would be taking xrays and then Jessica took over with my examination and cleaning. Doc was pleasure to talk with because he was not rushing and wanted to make sure that everything was explained and was clear to me. I feel very comfortable and confident here. Wish I had known this place earlier sometimes google does take you for a spin but good that I found this place now.
