Negative experience: They push you into extra work you don't need. And if you don't want extra work, they won't do the job. Won't go again.

The staff — Nancy and other front office young lady that helped me were super friendly and very informative, making me feel comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Sorenson and his assistant Natalie were incredible, very gentle and thorough while performing my dental work. The prices are very affordable, and they even offer great payment plans that make dental care easy to manage. I truly felt well taken care of and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality and affordable dental care! Definitely worth it, very quick and reliable service. Thank you Risas

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kirk could have told me I needed a full set of dentures, and I would have happily obliged. The office was extremely clean with the latest equipment, PAINFREE XRAYS, and kind staff. The method from check in to chair was efficient!

Negative experience: I’ve waited quite some time before posting my review to allow for proper healing. I went here for some filling work and I’ve ended up with near constant pain in my jaw/gum area. The dentist that did my fillings forgot to run floss through my teeth after he did my work, so I was left unable to floss in a few areas. I had to go back in to have someone else try to fix those errors, in this office.. Unfortunately, the dentist that tried to fix my flossing issues seemed to be too heavy handed with the drill, and caused another issues. He drilled off too much of a tooth off, which has left a gap there. Food gets caught in there, it’s SOOOO PAINFUL to chew on my right side. I have to chew as much as I can on the left side of my mouth. Any food with real texture causes so much pain as there as nothing is protecting that particular gum line any more. I have pain with and after ever single meal. That pain and throbbing after chewing lasts about 3-4 hours. Flossing there hurts like a mother “trucker.” Basically, all of my waking hours, I’m in oral pain on my right side…. I’ve never had to deal with a chronic pain, but this is my new “normal.” I’m not sure what, IF, anything that can be done as it’s part of the corner, if you will, of my tooth that’s missing. My gums are in a constant state of swelling and redness. Ugh :’( I now have to take pain meds before every.single.meal to try and get ahead of it.

Fantastic experience: I wrote a review my first time here because I was really impressed with all the staff the ladies were so sweet and kind every single person there was helpful so it made me really comfortable to come back and the dentist was awesome.. Now for the actual procedure I would give Dr groneman 12/10 him and his assistant made me feel so comfortable and I have been to I think 6 to 8 diff dentist in the last 3 years and the has to be the best one I have been too he was so gentle even the darn shots I couldn't feel and instantly I said omgosh I'm giving you the best review and he told me " not yet I haven't got to the bad part" well the bad part wasn't even bad I had to get 2 root canals and a tooth pulled that had a throbbing abscess and he was very gentle and asked how I was doing through out the procedure when I told him I hurt he took care of me until I was comfortable enough to not feel anything I would recommend not just the dental office and the staff I would absolutely recommend this dentist! I know so many people with teeth pain I already have 3 friends calling for appts :) thank you! I'm about 6 hours after my procedure and feeling good swelling is down and no pain yet :)

Fantastic experience: Excellent affordable service Amazing staff and very professional doctor. 200% recommend this place!!! I usually see Dr. Slade. Very gentle respectful, professional and very kind. Him and the assistants make sure you are okay through every step ; They really care about your oral health. As soon as you enter their with a big smile and offering water. It's very good to beat the heat. Waiting time in the lobby is very minor. Then they take you to the back for the procedure you may need. I will definitely recommend this place. I'm so picky with my dentist, and I wouldn't trade for anything, Dr. SLADE. HE made me feel safe and respected. I had fills done, wisdom teeth removed, and my cleaning. I'm looking forward to getting my braces done, and they offer amazing payment plan options and / or a good discount if you pay upfront. Karina and Jenifer were very friendly, so professional . Fantastic experience: I'm a PT of Dr. Redhead. He's not just a phenomenal Dr, but a phenomenal human as well! The patience, flexibility, concern, and the INCREDIBLE work he's done is almost indescribable! I've had a fair amount of work done and he's ALWAYS made sure I was more than comfortable during AND after the procedures! Dr. Reidhead also has a personality that lights up the room! He makes all the stereotypes of "a trip to the dentist" seem to disappear! In addition—the support staff is just as welcoming and thorough! I have NEVER had any long wait times, even after I've had to cancel, and be "fit in"! And they also do walk-Ins!! All in all—These people are fantastic!

Negative experience: Had work done, and unfortunately the dentist put the shot on my trigeminal nerve. So it’s been one year, and I’m still in pain, I felt like my face was shocked, I’ll never go back here. And the pain I’ve had to deal with all this time sucks. Now I’m scared to go back to a dentist. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It used to be so nice, but after the way my mistake was handled, it was unprofessional. Don’t waste your time. I don’t wish this trigeminal neuralgia on anyone. It hurts often, and I’m always in pain.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Woodruff and the dental assistant Mayra were very kind and very knowledgeable. The place was clean, warm and welcoming, and had shaded parking out front. This risas is better than the last one I went to. I highly recommend. I was able to get two wisdom teeth removed, 3 cavities filled, and my teeth cleaned in under 3hrs.

Fantastic experience: I have NEVER had a good experience at a dentist until I came to Risas. Dr. Nick Groneman is so gentle and kind and amazing at what he does. The health of my teeth and gums was bad when I went in. He made an affordable treatment plan and now I have beautiful pain free teeth that I am in love with. Negative experience: WORST DENTIST, Kirk H. Woodruff, I have ever seen. Refuses to do an extraction today and wants to wait for a prior authorization even though it states it is not required. While I remain in pain for who knows how long. Don’t waste your time!

Negative experience: I recommend my mother in law to go here because i was went in and the service was good. She went in today at 7:15 the door was close no one ever acknowledged her outside even though there were 3 girls and 1 guy in the lobby they were just standing there chitchatting. My mother in law called in to make and appointment and the person was still rude. Why say your open til 8pm and have the doors lock.

Negative experience: My family loves this place and is very loyal to you. I wanted it to be that way for me. I followed your advice and kept my teeth and paid you alot of $ for a low income senior who is rapidly approaching being unable to pay for any dental ever again. I had wanted dentures because it’s cheaper than dental work because that’s what seniors do knowing they won’t be able to afford dental work but I listened to your doctor against my own best interest. Later I had an extreme pain issue that required me to be seen. The Dr wrote expensive prescriptions so I asked what is the diagnosis? He refused to answer my question. That’s extremely disrespectful and I cannot return to a place that disrespects me like that. I deserve to know what is going on with my own body and what I am paying you for. Now my teeth are crumbling and I will have to somehow get dentures anyway or just live with clove oil and a face diaper.

With every visit, Dr. Woodruff makes sure to address every single concern I have, and every time I have needed some sort of restorative work, he has taken his time to thoroughly explain my current dental issues and how restorative treatment will help. Even after my visit today, my mind feels at ease, knowing that I was able to have a smooth check up, cleaning, and treatment while also addressing dental concerns completely and fully. Dr. Reidhead has shown great empathy regarding my sensitive teeth and has played a significant role in improving my smile over the years. This dental office truly cares about its patients and understands the challenges of affording quality dental care. They provide flexible payment plans, and I am very satisfied with my experience. Even though I drive 8 miles each visit, it is absolutely worth it. Additionally, my orthodontist Dr.Loop is fantastic; he has been instrumental in straightening my teeth. Fantastic experience: Dr groneman is one of the best possible. I've had him as my dentist for about 7 years or so, where most dentist wouldn't have attempted to save one of my teeth by doing a root canal, he was able to pull it off. He always makes sure that you're comfortable and that the experience is as pleasant as possible. No one likes going to the dentist, but he definitely makes it a lot easier. I wouldn't trade him for any other dentist and im glad I met him through a mutual acquaintance. Keep doing awesome dr groneman.

Fantastic experience: I came in to get my braces on and Tamara helped me out she did amazing, walked me through entire process, Edna did my wife’s adjustment and did amazing!

Negative experience: Long wait times are common at this dental clinic. You might find a more efficient option elsewhere. If you have to go, choose a provider other than Dr. Woodruff. A 90-minute cleaning session was reduced to 50 minutes because the doctor was running behind. I’m not confident that I received the best dental care! I left without any instructions on when to eat or what to avoid! Last time, I waited over an hour, and now it’s been almost an hour again. It’s incredibly frustrating. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist’s office.

Fantastic experience: I love this place they are so understanding and Dr.Loop was the one who did my braces he was so careful and aware with my teeth and myself. But Edna was the one who took care of me today and removed my braces my teeth look beautiful she was so friendly and carefully aware as well. Thank you to all the staff!

Negative experience: Went here recently to get my teeth cleaned and the assistant got to rough and knocked out my fillings leaving me with a bunch of pain and sensitivity. When I went back to get the fillings replaced along with a few more, I was left with to much pain and pressure on my teeth for days and haven’t been able to chew solid food and the pressure won’t go away.

Fantastic experience: I been going here for a few months now mostly for convenience since its close to work and their hours allow me to have appointments late in the evenings without affecting my work schedule. I received good service from both the Dr and staff. Have I waited long? sometimes but nothing that would cause me to complaint sometimes things happen and they have to take longer with a patient I see it as if it was me I would appreciate there taking their time and not rushing what they have to do. My only complaint would be the music its too loud and when you're in pain you just want quiet but nothing that would cause me to leave a negative review. I even had complications following some work and have not had a problem with them seeing me to address my concerns.

Fantastic experience: This actually my 2nd great experience with Risas dental. They couldn’t see me at my usual one so they told me to come to the Maryvale one. And as Usual I wasn’t disappointed I needed cavities filled and they did a deep cleaning. I’m not gonna say it was cheap but it was half of what an other dentist quoted me. I felt taking care of even if the office seem like a beehive they are efficient and saw me on time on both of my appointments and was there for 2 hours each time not waiting but working on my teeth Thank you.

Negative experience: I thought I was so lucky to find Risas back in March 2023. They were going to work with me on payments on a bridge. They put in a temporary bridge, (which still sits in my mouth) and prior I had a root canal and a couple fillings. My portion to pay was roughly $140, $40 which I paid until times got rough again and I owed $100 when I went back in for a scheduled appt for my permanent bridge. Well, they numbed my mouth and after a few minutes, sent me on my way. No permanent bridge. I still have the same temporary bridge and have screwed up the right side of my mouth cuz that's the only way I can chew..on the right. Hopefully it will.hold up at my wedding in 17 days... Thx for leaving me hanging over $100..

Fantastic experience: I would rate my experience here a 5/5. The staffs here are very nice and quick with it. Dr. Loop is an amazing person and he really makes me feel welcomed as do all the staffs. If someone were to ask me a good place to go for braces I would highly recommend this place

Fantastic experience: best experience i had! My first stop was at a different dentist office, they send me back home with a referral saying he couldn’t do anything because the wisdom tooth was far back. I was in so much pain that would last 3-4 hours until i went to Risas dental and they did an exam i saw the dentist and said ok let’s take it out today! Less than 2 minutes my wisdom tooth was out! they were so helpful . As soon as i walked i felt welcomed and positive about everything, definitely will be going back for future work done.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Loop is literally the best I never have any problems with him and he lets me know everything that I needs to know. Also makes me and my kids feel very comfortable!!!

Fantastic experience: Today I went to risas dental and I got my braces removed by dentist gizmo she did an amazing job and made sure that I felt comfortable enough to get them removed thank you so much ! Dr Luke also was very helpful by letting me know the after care of my new smile thank you so much for always being there throughout the process !

Fantastic experience: Shadany and Dr. Loop have done my checkups so far since moving from a different risas location in which I was having a lot of trouble with the staff not taking their time and rushing through my appointment here at the Maryvale location specifically here two workers always do a great job and I have never had an issue the Dr.(Loop) explains any questions or concerns I may have and the assistant(Shadany) really takes her time, has dental school experience, has her certifications, and overall always does an awesome job I really like this location and recommend it to anyone who needs dental care as someone who has gone to two other risas locations I really recommend this one. Thank you Shadany and Dr.Loop for always showing care, time, and love to all your patients it is greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a couple years now. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I’ve been seeing Dr. Loop for my braces treatment and I’m satisfied with the results so far. His assistant Giselle is amazing and always treats patients with care.

Negative experience: I wish I could give a 5 star rating for this place. Back in January I went in for an emergency visit and a treatment plan. I was told they'd work with my insurance at the time to get a prior authorization so we could take care of the problem. I haven't heard back since, and all I got was a cost estimate, amoxicillin, and ibuprofen. I tried calling recently to find out why I was never called back, and the representative I reached said she had to call the front office to answer my question, and the front office never responded. I was, again, told I'd get a call back. That was in May. I'm still in excruciating amounts of pain and still struggling, with no contact from Risa's dental about anything. I don't want to, but if necessary I will see a different dentist who actually cares to have their patients taken care of. I just want to feel like a person again, and I was really hoping Risa's dental could help with that.

Fantastic experience: I was seen with Dr. Groneman. He was very nice and very gentle. They were fast getting me back into the room. The assistant made me feel very comfortable by explaining everything to me. I already set my next appointment and I’m excited to come back.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with how well trained the staff at this location are on customer service, especially Ruth, who went out of her way several times to ensure I was not only well informed, but comfortable as well during my visit. The dentists here are very professional and is the only location I'd trust with my teeth. I can't thank you enough!
