Negative experience: July 30, 2025. My child had a cleaning today . Normally everything is fine however today the two people that cleaned her teeth were really rough. My child said one kept digging the dentist tools into her tooth causing pain. Then the next girl kept poking her gums every time she would clean around her teeth. My child has never complained about any pain when her teeth were cleaned until today . She came home and took a nap because her mouth was hurting so bad. Next visit we will be requesting someone else to do the procedure because a cleaning should not cause pain.

Fantastic experience: On Tuesday evening, Jun 17, 2025, all of a sudden, parts of my upper and lower teeth on my left side started hurting so bad I needed to see my dentist right away at Higginbotham Family Dental. So, on Wednesday, Jun 18, 2025, I went to their office. Unfortunately, for me their office was closed and would not be open until the following day. So, I had to suffer through a sleepless night consuming Tylenol trying to ease the pain. On Thursday, Jun 19, 2025, I was waiting at their front door when they opened. I was still in pain but not as bad as yesterday because of all the Tylenol I had taken. I told the receptionist I had been having serious toothaches and needed a prescription. She told me that my regular dentist was not available but there was a dentist in the office that could help me. The dentist's name was Dr. Sean Fitzhugh, whom I met before but only for an examination after a cleaning. And I was feeling a little uneasy about his experience and expertise about fixing my problem. That uneasiness quickly dissipated. Within a very short period, he, along with his assistant, examined my teeth, took several X-rays, and examined my teeth more. After diagnosing my situation, Dr. Fitzhugh gave me two prescriptions along with instructions on when and how to take them. He also recommended that I continue taking Tylenol. I was also given an appointment to see my regular dentist when he is available. After taking the prescription meds along with Tylenol on Thursday night, the pain was still there and had become even more uncomfortable than before. So, I called the office on Friday, Jun 20, 2025, and complained to the receptionist that I needed a stronger prescription because I was still having serious pain. She informed me that there was not any dentist in the office to help me. That's when I felt like I had been pushed off a cliff! But then the receptionist suggested that I needed to be more patient and give the prescription meds time to work. She was right! Because on Saturday, Jun 21, 2025, my teeth pain had subsided to the point I was almost back to normal! I love Dr. Fitzhugh! He is an excellent dentist that showed me a lot of compassion for my situation and resolved it to my satisfaction. And his staff is just as compassionate too. I am very proud and thankful to be a part of Higginbotham Family Dental in Blytheville, AR. And if you're not part of the Higginbotham Family Dental, you should give it some strong consideration on being a part of their family too. Because there is no doubt, they are truly the very best at what they do!

Fantastic experience: I am and have ALWAYS been pleased with the professionalism with the Doctors and Staff at HFD!! I think their cleaning is like no other!! I love how they EXPLAIN your ex rays and how they explain your insurance and also let you know what you will be paying for the work you may have to get done. It's always very clean from the entrance to the exam room. I was very pleased with the receptionists, they were both very welcoming! I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with all 3 people of the Ladies that took their time with my dental exam!! As I am getting older, going to ANY DOCTOR is frightening for me, but to have Doctors, Dentist, Dental Hygienist, Nurses/Medical Staff with very pleasant attitudes and warm spirits, always ease my fears. Negative experience: Desperately trying to peer pressure me into buying things I literally do not need. It’s like they wouldn’t let me check-out until a listened to all their sells pitches. I just want my teeth cleaned please. Tried telling me I couldn’t be on my phone while in the waiting area so I waited in my truck instead. Bad experience and lesson learned.

Fantastic experience: The service I received today was absolutely incredible. Between the pain and anxiety I was feeling, I just wanted to cry. Maybe I did cry a little but they were very reassuring and very gentle. Also, root canals have a bad reputation for no reason. I'm thankful they were able to save my teeth and rescue me from all my troubles.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is always so nice! I had to have some extensive dental work done and as soon as the anesthesia hit my heart started racing. This is normal but it scared me and I started to go into panic mode. The dental assistant (Lindsey) was absolutely amazing. She came right over to me and helped calm me down. She was a huge help the entire time. She deserves a reward for putting up with me! The dentist did a phenomenal job and was patient and understanding ( I was so anxious). I can't brag of them enough!! I am so thankful for HFD for going above and beyond for their patients. You guys are the best! I would never think of going anywhere else! I don't have dental insurance but they offer in house financing which has been such a big help! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Was sympathetic to my anxiety after bad experiences with a dentist before and handt seen a dentist in over 20 years and made sure I was comfortable and numb before doing any work. And made sure to work out the best plan of action for my care and treatment.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had to have a fairly rare procedure that she was terrified of done. She called me after and said she didn’t feel a thing. Not even the shots and she has always felt the shots before. I had to call to see who the doc was that did the procedure so we could try to schedule future procedures around that particular doctor’s availability. It was Dr Higginbotham himself.

Negative experience: The nurse was completely understanding and could see my daughter was really in pain, but the doctor himself was in a rush, had no patients with my child, and wouldn't listen when she said she was in pain when he pulled the tooth. He just pulled it out without numbing her anymore.

Fantastic experience: Had an evening appointment and they called me right in. The assistant asked me some questions and took an xray. She dead-end the spot and told me the dentist would be in shortly. 15 minutes later the dentist was pulling my tooth. Felt zero pain tooth came out easily and they cottertzed it with a Lazer and sent me on my way. Took me longer to get home (foggy) then to get my tooth pulled. These people are friendly, cost efficient and fast. Good job Higgenbotham Dental!

Although they were busy there wasn’t a long wait at all… The staff members were extremely friends and listen to exactly what I was asking for. Very thorough and caring. I'm terribly afraid and have high anxiety to dental work. They all was very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make sure your needs are met!.. I would definitely recommend this office. Positive experience: I've been with this dentist for some years I like their service but on this particular day my cleaner had a bad attitude the hygienist, the dentist, the receptionist all was good but the prep / x-ray person she had attitude only time she got polite was when she came back in with the doctor after the hygienist , other than that attitude I dealt with her attitude because I know how stuff can be we both been minorities and she's share my granddaughter's name but she had a bad attitude. I started to ask for another person. Didn't greet me, didn't ask did I have any pain, put the blood pressure cuff on me and it just sat there for a while. When she finished with me, which was real short time my mouth didn't feel clean The next person she had she greeted them ask them did they have pain... me nothing. I ain't walking around think I'm better than anyone and I'm not going to put up with nobody who think that's better than me she was rude.

Fantastic experience: During intubation an anesthesiologist (not affiliated with Higginbotham Family Dental) hit my front crown. Dr. Geoffrey nor myself didn’t know until after the crown was removed that the entire implant was broken all the way down to the root. At the last minute I ended up needing an extraction, an implant, and a partial. They were able to complete the extraction, replace the implant, and make an on the spot partial that I am very pleased with all in one day without notice. Thank you Dr. Geoffrey and your team for saving the day! Kim

Fantastic experience: I had to have a deep dental cleaning which if you don’t know, can be a very painful experience. My dental hygienist is a wonderful person with a very gentle touch which made the session very bearable. My dentist is also a very cool person who explained exactly what was going on, what he needs to do going forward as well as my future dental plan going forward. From the front desk to your room, you will be treated like you’re the only patient in the building!! Highly recommend this dental family practice to any and all!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a 12pm appointment, got me in at 11:30am. Very clean and sanitary office. Staff was friendly, professional and very accommodating. The dentist sat with me after the appointment and discussed with me the future treatments I was interested in and gave me a detailed sequence in which I should get them done. He was more than happy to answer all my questions and address all my concerns. Throughout the entire process I never once felt rushed. Awesome service and I would recommend this office to anyone in the Blytheville area!
