Negative experience: It is ridiculous that you pay insurance year round and you are given an exam with no cleaning that is covered by your insurance all due to trying to get additional money. I will be contacting Delta Dental about the additional charges explained just as a way to not give the cleaning that should take place.

Negative experience: My first visit to Dental Work -Park Avenue was to replace a broken bridge. My tooth under my broken bridge had a hole in it . I was surprised Dr James Dietz didn’t fill the hole in before replacing the broken bridge .. My second visit I had pain in one of my bottom tooth on the left side of my mouth . I pointed to the tooth that was given me the pain and Dr. Dietz told me he didn’t see anything wrong with that tooth . He pointed to a tooth that had a root canal done 30 years ago and I had no pain from . He convinced me that I needed a crown put on that tooth . I kept telling him that tooth wasn’t the problem but the pain was so severe I let him put a crown on a painless tooth . I went back to Dr. Dietz on two different occasions complaining that the tooth I complained about was still hurting and I was experiencing pain from my bridge. Dr Dietz gave me a fluoride treatment and shave my tooth and told me to use sensitive toothpaste. I went back to Dr. Dietz a third time for the pain . I don’t know why I kept going back . I guess I had paid too much money to stop . The pain would come and go . I had to buy and use Orajel toothache mouth wash to control my pain . I notice I had a cavity under my bridge on my top left side . Dr. Dietz looked at my bridge and told me he didn’t see anything wrong with my bridge. I told him I wanted the bridge removed because I could taste the cavity. Dr. Dietz cut my good bridge off and told me I was right I did have cavity under my bridge. Dr. Dietz clean the cavity out of my tooth but he didn’t fill in the hole. I asked him why he wasn’t filling in the holes in my tooth. He said it was because the bridge was going to cover the tooth up . These treatments was done in July - September. Dr . Dietz assistant told I didn’t have any more money left on my insurance for treatment. I had to wait until January 2025 . I kept using the Orajel mouthwash and brushing with sensitive toothpaste to deal with the severe pain . January I call Dr. Dietz about the pain. He wanted me to make an appointment for him to look at my mouth again for the same problem. Each time I came in for an evaluation he charge me for an existing problem . Each visit was the same old situation, he could see why I was having pain . I told him if he had closed in the hole on my bridges and dealt with the tooth I told was hurting . I probably wouldn’t be having pain . I told him I was getting food stuck in the back of my top left bridge and I had to use a tooth pick to remove the food . I told Dr.Dietz I wanted my money back because he didn’t want to remove my bridges and fill in the holes that he left exposed in my mouth . Dr. Dietz told me to make an appointment with Mid South Endodontics Germantown before he could give my money back . He wanted a second opinion. I made an appointment and when I got there the doctor was trying to do a root canal on the left top bridge back tooth cause that was the tooth that had the cavity that Dr Dietz left exposed. Dr. Dietz didn’t want a second opinion. He was trying to do a cover up by cutting the nerve off the exposed tooth to eliminate the pain I was having. I told the Dr I wasn’t going to get a root canal on that tooth because Dr Dietz should have closed the hole up . I told the doctor about the bottom tooth that I told Dr Dietz about and he but a root canal on that same tooth I told Dr Dietz the pain was coming from . I now know the reason Dr Dietz put a crown on a painless tooth it was because he isn’t qualified to do root canal. I AM STILL IN SEVERE PAIN WAITING ON DR DIETZ TO CORRECT HIS MISTAKES

A judgment free zone they do not make you get anything that you do not need they tell you the straight up truth. I will be recommending anyone that’s afraid of a dentist to come here, I think I found what I was looking for, No I know I found it. They didn’t hit my pocket hard at all……

Negative experience: Dr. Dietz is the best dentist you’ll ever meet. However, the staff at his front desk needs a lesson in customer service. They are the worst, smart mouths you’ll ever seen. Talks down to you about payments when you have large credits where you’ve over paid them setting on their book. He needs to clean house before I refer another one of my company’s employees to him. Sad but true that I’ve heard this same sentiment from other patients of him.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate calling the office on late Wednesday March 19, 2025 and was able to be seen on Thursday March 20,2025. This was truly an emergency being that my tooth had no other options but to be extracted. And that it was. Dr. Dietz was awesome during the procedure. I’m not going to lie I was in a lot of pain and had to be medicated several times. Over all the job was done and I’m very greatful for people as compassionate as Dr. Dietz who had mercy on me.
