1st Choice Dental Center | Kennesaw, GA

Fantastic experience: I have been to Three Implant Dentist, concerning specifically one dental implant. It’s amazing the difference, in cost procedures and the dentist. 1st choice Dental Center, examined my implant strategy concerns for free. They even took a $300 CT scan for free, as part of my exam. The last dentist wanted to charge me for that and said my insurance would not cover it. So I have already saved, over $300 dollars. The 1st Choice Dentals scanning CT machine , went around my whole body. It is state of the art. Like the other dentist scanners / xray machines. sticking these uncomfortable devices all in your mouth at all angles was very uncomfortable. The doctor is very professional and respectful, looking at my scans and explaining what he can do in my situation. I didn’t feel he was in a hurry and was waiting for all questions I had. None of the other dentist, explained that with the scan . You can see all my teeth on the scan. He even answered questions, concerning other concerns on my teeth. I have now made my appointment for my implant and feel better about 1st Choice Dental . The front receptionist was friendly and the dental assistant, listen to my talking to much. I recently got a partial crown on a tooth, that was wearing down. It was located bottom left side , towards the back. They did a perfect job , three weeks ago preparing with a temporary and putting in the permanent partial crown today. Never any problems with the temporary. I was sitting in the procedure chair within 8 minutes of my appointment time. The permanent crown was completed within a 1 1/2 hours. I have made my decision, I will make 1st Choice my permanent dentist office. Today 11/18/24 I had my teeth cleaned and was very happy with the hygienist. She even listened to my constantly talking. Very professional and made me very welcome. The receptionist was also friendly, with a smile also. The doctor had a cone X-ray to see if I was able for an implant with no buildup. Which I will have done in December. Which insurance will pay , by the end of December. The the insurance will pay the other half , the next year for the crown. Great dental office. Today 18 December 22 I had my teeth cleaned and was very happy with the hygienist. She brought up cleaning details, to help with my teeth hygiene for a better cleaning at home. Also a special toothpaste, to help with , cleaning my gums better. I have a crown, with a ackward gap , that’s hard to clean. I will pay more attention to, on cleaning that area. The Dentist said I have a cracked tooth on number 13 and if I start getting pain, they may have to put a crown on that tooth. Very Happy with this visit.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist. I have panic attacks and get extremely nervous even when I go for a simple cleaning. I have good teeth but very sensitive gums and I am predisposed to gingivitis. Ashley at 1st Choice Dental Care in Kennesaw is the best hygienist you can wish for- she is caring, gentle and will go out of her way to make you comfortable, and in my case that means the world. Honestly, everyone at 1st Choice Dental has been extremely friendly, nice and caring and they go out of their way to make the whole experience as painless and as comfortable as possible. Even though it is in my nature to always be nervous when I go to the dentist, I trust 1st Choice Dental Care and will continue to go there.

Fantastic experience: Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a new dentist. This place is awesome. My dentist was so gentle. I had a tooth pulled, that was badly infected he put me antibiotics for 3 days and then pulled the molar with no discomfort. I'm on the 2nd day and still no pain. I highly recommend this office.

Positive experience: First time I went in circa 2018 a newly graduated dentist drilled too deep for filling, later dentist who is no longer with practice evaluated work and confirmed. I attempted to follow that dentist but his hygienist wasn't a match so I gave this place another shot. They scheduled me with a string of amazing dentists and my last appointment which was scheduled >6 months in advance was supposed to be with either of the extremely knowledgable and professional dentists I’d been historically scheduled with. However, I get to the end of exam and a newly graduated male enters and quite honestly I felt wasn't that professional. In the moment I just went along with it but continued to be bothered after the fact. I specifically scheduled with Dr. Vaughn and there was no communication about changing the provider. And because of my initial history here it was very unsettling. The assistants and hygienists are absolutely wonderful but I highly likely will not return if scheduled with a provider I didn’t prefer and moving forward I’m aware to confirm. A 45 minute drive is too much and 6 months is ample time to notify a patient if the provider isn’t available to reschedule. Apologies if this reads negatively and thank you for your time and help acknowledging my concerns.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and very knowledgeable. And I must mention they are HONEST! If you know, you know! Some dentist offices will scam you into a deep cleaning, root canals, etc. This place is also great with kids, I scheduled all 4 of my kids to get examined and their teeth cleaned while I get a wisdom tooth pulled along with 2 fillings. We were in and out within 2 hours. Kids came out smiling and excited about their visit ☺️ I felt no pain! This is hands down the best dentist I’ve gone too since residing in Georgia!

Fantastic experience: I had some tooth pain and wanted to get it checked out same day due to travel. I was able to get in almost within the hour. The staff were all SO friendly and patient. The front desk was thorough with questions for insurance and getting my paperwork filled out. The dental assistant was thorough in the x-rays, explained everything well, and asked plenty of questions to get the full picture of the tooth pain. The dentist came in and was very kind, calming and thorough in his exam. I really enjoyed the appointment and am thankful to have found this office

Fantastic experience: They are always so nice, and friendly! Dr. Stephanie was on maternity leave, and the office had an unexpected equipment breakdown. (Water leak in a room.) Even with this occurring the staff and Doctor were very friendly, didn't seem stressed, nor did they seem rushed. They still took their time with me, and we're only a few minutes behind schedule even being a room down, and short handed. I also like how you know how much your final cost is before they start working on your teeth so there are no surprises. I highly recommend going here.

I had my second appt recently and the staff is so sweet and friendly. They offer you water, neck pillow or blanket while you wait to be seen in the patient chair. Fantastic experience: I started being a patient with 1st Choice Dental Kennesaw in September 2024 and my latest appointment was yesterday and have had 1 or 2 visits each month in between with some more scheduled the rest of the year. I can say I am a happy returning established patient :-) If you are afraid of Dentist visits or have any hesitation to go for whatever reason I want to tell you that the team that works with Dr. Saad is superb at making you feel relaxed, comfortable, and most important for me genuinely CARED for. I have met multiple staff there and everyone of them was very very friendly and comforting. I had the worst fear as a child which carried as an adult of going to the dentist and they worked with me very well; so much that on one instance when Dr. Saad and his team were working on a Crown for me, I fell asleep during because I felt comfortable, safe, and in good hands. Little to no pain or discomfort as possible each visit. That is very important for Dr. Saad and his team and they let me know that every single time. Their Kennesaw site is very clean and spacious and each room has its TV for streaming or calm music. Overall highly recommend Dr. Saad and his team in Kennesaw to anyone and especially those who have fear of going to the dentist. I was referred by a coworker and I am happy that I went to my first appointment and got established with a great team who care about my oral well-being.

My husband and I both went for first visit today and I truly can say this is my happy place! From the time I stepped in the door to walking out…I was shocked at how a dental office could do what they did!

Negative experience: My husband and I were looking for a new dentist and I had scheduled my first appointment with 1st Choice for today. When I arrived to the appointment, I was told my appointment had been cancelled because I did not call back Friday to confirm. Turns out they had been calling and texting THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER! So, I took half a day off from work today only to be told I could not be seen because I did not confirm with them on Friday...which I could not do since they were using the wrong phone number to leave me messages. They asked if I could come back tomorrow at 3. Ummmm, no, I took off half the day TODAY! There was no apology, no accommodation, no nothing. I told them I guess I'll have to find a new dentist and they didn't say a word. VERY POOR customer service, there are plenty of good dental offices in this area. They lost two new patients today.

Fantastic experience: My family and I were new to the area and needed to find a new dental provider. 1st Choice Dental did not disappoint. They were very professional and caring. Billing and treatment plans were clearly explained, and they addressed all of my concerns regarding my family's dental needs. All of the staff that my teenagers and I encountered were very kind and made us feel at home. I am so happy and pleased to have found a dental practice that met all of my family's needs and expectations. I highly recommend. Updated Review 11/26/2024: 2 years in and I'm still very pleased with the service I get. I've been getting my preventative care and needed to get a crown, which I had the initial procedure done today. My dental provider was so caring and the staff took the time to explain everything from what to expect to billing...although I will now reveal that I have a dental background (used to be an Expanded Functions Dental Tech) when I was in the US Navy, so I am very aware of dental practices...and yet, I still stand by my positive review!! To date, I've never had any billing issues, never felt they put the dollar before the health and well being of patients, as you know some dental practices focus on just profits and not so much patient care. In addition, the practice is always clean and sterile (at least from what I can see every time I come in). It's hard to find a dental practice that I am comfortable with and feel safe at, especially because I have knowledge. Of course, please do your due diligence in reading their policies and documentations, ensure your contact and insurance info is up to date, and always confirm and show up to appointments to avoid unnecessary charges.

Fantastic experience: I ended up making another appointment because my insurance wouldn’t let me switch to a new dental practice without paying out of pocket for some things, and I’m glad I went back. I had a great experience with them getting me in promptly for an appointment rather than offering to put me on a waitlist for openings this time, so I’m attributing my most previous experience with a lack of training that individual might have had with how to handle cancellations. Because I always have such a great experience with everything else, as I mentioned in my initial review, that really just the feeling like I was dropped as a client with that cancellation was the only sour bit of my experience. Glad I went back and didn’t switch practices.

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to this dental office after I changed insurance. I loved my previous dentist and 1st choice has been an amazing switch! I was nervous leaving my other dentist and so to find a dentist as great as I have here, has been a huge blessing! I’ve been telling everyone about this place and how great it is! Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this practice! THEY ARE WONDERFUL! Love the doctor's bedside manners and the staff!! Very warm and personable as well as professional! The office is beautiful and clean and neat! I absolutely HATE going to the dentist, because I have to get perio cleanings and I just can't take the sensation from the cleaning tools, especially the older I get. My hygienist was UH-MAZING!! She listened and was understanding and empathetic to my cause, which is I don't like pain! [grin] The doctor was able to numb me and I didn't experience any pain at all! I'm a hard person to numb and I prefer to be completely unconscious even for cleanings, but he numbed me and I didn't feel a thing and even getting numbed, it didn't hurt. Very well done 1st Choice!

Fantastic experience: 1st Choice Dental Center is super clean, has a very calming ambiance which helps especially when you are about to get dental work done. The staff is really friendly and organized, same said with the Dental Hygienists and Dentists, they are amazing, gentle and very knowledgeable. The bottom line here is they ain’t hustling you out of cash!! Not like some crooks I’ve encounters in the past. They will consult with you on your best option both for the health of your mouth as well as finances. They don’t push products, services that not needed and that right there is a HUGE WIN. When it could not be, they saw me the next day to do the tooth extraction and cavity filler. Dr. Holcomb and his tech Hannah? we’re both so nice. They were encouraging and thoughtful. They actually care, non judgemental, sweet and are very educated. I will never change dental offices. They’re great ; you won’t regret it! ❤️ My teeth feel clean and vert healthy .

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I found 1st Choice Dental. I was going to another dentist that was overpriced & just not a good fit. My first interaction with 1st Choice Dental was when I called to find out pricing for procedures. I spoke with Heather the office manager. She was very helpful, professional, understanding and after providing necessary info she got me scheduled right away. Heather suggested their dental savings plan for me since I don’t have dental insurance. I’m so glad she did! The prices were fair and affordable. On my first visit the office was, clean and new! The staff was friendly, professional and very communicative. The dentist went over all necessary procedures with me including the one I was to have at the prior dentist. It turned out that I didn’t need to have done what I thought & the procedure this dentist would do saved me $1100 keeping me tooth! I have been to this business twice & each time has been comfortable & effecient. I highly recommend 1st Choice Dental!

Fantastic experience: Incredibly friendly, treated with respect and full transparency of plan and pricing. I am one that is very uncomfortable with dental/medical scenarios and the staff and dentist here are very accommodating and do all they can to put you at ease. When you're trusting a stranger to stick needles into your mouth you really appreciate the kindness and compassion the folks over at 1st choice dental provide. They handle everything with such care and concern. I recommend 1st Choice Dental to all my family and friends. You only get one set of teeth and they will take great care of yours!

Negative experience: This dentist office is extremely unprofessional, lack of integrity, and the employees are highly disrespectful. The office manager Heather was very rude and disorganized, no one even spoke to me and my family upon entering the facility, I do not recommend this office to anyone, their level of knowledge and understanding to their patients is unacceptable!! Do not go here!! In reference to your reply, my family and I were potential patients, I was referred to your office from a friend and your reply reflects the reviews, your representation of your office, your attitude and unprofessionalism that she implied on and I am so glad that I did not receive services from your office because the way you discount accountability for the services you render to patients. Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience! The staff was so friendly from the front desk to the back office. I didn’t have to wait long from the time I sat down in the waiting area. (Which is so nice and inviting by the way) I have severe dental anxiety and everyone helped to set my mind at easy. They made me feel like family. I am definitely recommending this practice to all of my family and friends. I am so happy after all these years I have found my dental family home. Negative experience: Nice building but the way they run the practice makes me uncomfortable. I don’t trust that they have my families best interest at heart instead of focus being on money from procedures. The doctor was quick and not very friendly. They offer financing options in desks all lined up similar to the way they lay it out in the hospital. The person who answered the phone when I made my original appointment didn’t have the address for the practice. Just a lot of little things that make me realize this isn’t the place for me.

Fantastic experience: The ladies who did all four of my fillings were friendly and very courteous, and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. They answered all of my questions both before and after and you could tell they knew their stuff. Will definitely continue to trust my teeth with them. Update: 11-15-23 I continue to use 1st Choice Dental and will continue for the foreseeable future. I had a small issue regarding one of these fillings that I never addressed, but let them know today at my cleaning. They were friendly and offered to fix it if it ever became a problem for me. They also answered ever question I had involving things I've had done and even thoughts regarding a possible sharp edge on a tooth of mine. They're friendly, fun, and absolutely love you being there. I would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: My experience at 1st Choice Dental was excellent the person that actually did the cleaning, soory I don't remember her name i think its Dawn, was so thorough and was not pushy. The Doctor explain everything so clearly was very honest and that's what I was looking for . I am not the person to give reviews but I had to stop and give this review. Also there price to me was very reasonable. Hard to find services like this.. Excellent!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. My first visit was in 2014. I have since moved but can’t find a dentist I even remotely like by me. I choose to drive 1+ hour to go to the dentist here. Although that is my choice, the employees here are so accommodating to my travel time. The customer service is what keeps me coming back. As always, everyone was so kind today but I had the pleasure of interacting with Dawn, Dr. Stephanie, and a very kind young lady working along side Dr. Stephanie.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in this office is very professional and incredibly nice. Dawn is my hygienist and she's perfect. She's thorough, diligent and knowledgeable. She is very gentle in her reminders of what you need to do better to take care of your teeth and gums. And Dr. Stephanie is the same! Very professional, but also very friendly. Both of these women get to know their patients and make you want to come back for your cleanings. Highly recommend!! Update: Erika is also an amazing member of the team at 1st Choice! She is great with making the intake process smooth and easy to prepare you for your appointment. And she makes X-Rays a tiny bit bearable! (This is definitely my least favorite part of any appointment.)

Fantastic experience: I had an extraction and bone graft yesterday. While that could never be something to look forward to, thanks to Dr Stephanie and Hannah, it went very smoothly, was as pain free as possible and was over in a minimal amount of time. Fantastic experience: I continuously postponed a trip to the dentist because it was easier to avoid than commit to. Then it came to a point when I finally had no choice and needed to go.
