Negative experience: Where does it take 3 hours to do a root canal??? Start on a patient and finish! Not jump from patient to patient because you over booked!!!

Negative experience: Very bad experience with this appointment. Waited for 1 hour for cleaning but they took me for X-rays. X-ray was done in prior appointment and was not due. Walked out without any service as I had to wait for more time for cleaning. Staff did not show any courtesy for their mishandling of the appointment. Will look for some other dentist next time.

Negative experience: 15 minutes after my appointment time they took me in and took xrays. Then to the chair for the service. Dr. Patel came in and spent 2 minutes checking out my teeth. All fine. Then I wait, and wait, and wait. After 1-1/2 hours waiting for the hygienist a front desk person came by and said my hygienist is finishing up but still 1 person before me. I said I can't wait any longer. No apology, no remorse. They knew that they were backed up. Someone called in sick I'm told. Why didn't they tell me when I arrived. They should have been upfront and offer another appointment when I checked in. I felt a little discriminated against to be honest.

Negative experience: I genuinely had a rough time with this location. Terrible communication between staff, further inconveniencing me. Phone calls saying to come in at specific times then delaying the process. Not a fan, personally, of the way the male employees act towards the women. I was treated in a very childish manner, by numerous workers, for simply wanting to receive dental care. This is just my experience, not the most pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Christian was amazing ! Made my experience so comfortable and understanding !

Negative experience: Called just to confirm an appointment for my daughter and was told I would be put on a brief hold. 12 mins is not brief! Someone picked up and clicked over on me, so I was still waiting. There is no reason for this. So I called from a different phone and someone picked up and helped. Ridiculous!

Positive experience: So far everyone is really friendly. The appointment visit is always pretty long though.

Negative experience: Staff members can be pretty rude. Not all of them, of course, the floor manager was very nice but the doctors I spoke with were fairly dismissive and hardly talked to me. One of them even gave me a lot of attitude on my way out. None of my issues were explained very thoroughly and it was just overall not great service/bedside manner. Wait time was also very, very long which I somewhat understand because it was a little busy. Just as a heads up though, it was 50 minutes for me to get brought back and then once I was in the chair they’d leave for 15+ mins at a time without explaining next steps and it’d never be the same person coming back. Glad I didn’t choose to move forward with the procedure.

Negative experience: First off the staff isn't inviting or friendly at all.. they had me wait 3 weeks to get my kids cavity filled and was told they don't do outside referrals and that they don't have kids clinics.. I called the office and appointment center. Today I take my kid and the assistant Mariana starts telling my 3 year old to " SHUT UP" "Be quiet; there's patients outside " MIND YOU IM STANDING OUTSIDE THE DOOR BECAUSE I REFUSED TO WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM. I can not fathom the fact that a in their profession they would talk to a patient that way, let alone a kid.. they're not equipped to treat kids in this office. I spoke up but the doctor wasn't even interacting with my child and let the nurse speak to children that way ... BEWARE OF THIS INTERACTIONS

Negative experience: Madison WESTERN DENTAL IN RIVERSIDE, CA is scammer type of a Dental Clinic. The deep cleaning performed made my teeth look even worse than before. Even the attending physician, Dr. Sal, was rude and wanted me to make another appointment because my dental Implant came loose and he wanted to examine the rigidity of the tooth. Fantastic experience: The dentist is going good for me because of my teeth cleaning and fillings Doctor Olga take good care of me at X-ray technician I will come back again

Negative experience: 0 star they use the same utensils the use on other people they be dirty they cracked my tooth and then left a deep big whole under my tounge how did you that when it happen i feelt it and you pulled and kept what ever tool you used there i think they need to be more clean and professionl and carful

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a really positive experience at Western Dental on Riverside Madison. The orthodontics team is outstanding, and the ortho assistants are always professional, attentive, and kind. The receptionist and front desk staff make the check-in process quick and easy, and they are always welcoming with a smile. The PCC took the time to explain my treatment plan clearly, and the business manager was very helpful in going over payment options and making sure everything worked smoothly.

Negative experience: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! SAVE YOURSELF A BROKEN JAW My sister came here for braces, not only is the receptionist unprofessional and rude but the environment is unwelcoming. She got her wisdom teeth pulled out, they messed her up so bad that she has a really bad jaw to the point that we have seen medical professionals and it could not be fixed. Please please please go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Got a power strip put on today to close the small space between my front teeth (...and others). Irma had the patience of a going through the different colors with my fickle self . Always a great experience coming here for ortho care.

Negative experience: On top of being run down a bit, this place has a very unwelcoming environment. Everyone seemed like they had an attitude, and the cleaning was very rushed. I’ve been to many places and they are way more in depth with their cleanings and informative. The lady (who didn’t introduce herself) that did my cleaning literally just passed me a paper and said sign it, and when I asked what is it for she didn’t even say anything and it sounded like she laughed a bit. Another lady had to explain it for me. There’s definitely better places besides this one.

Negative experience: One Star Is Too Generous avoid at All Costs This place is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. The building is filthy, and it's clear they have no idea how to manage appointments. I had a 9:00 AM appointment (the first available slot of the day) and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite this, I wasn’t called back until 9:50. Then, unbelievably, I was completely forgotten about. I ultimately walked out without receiving any service, and frankly, I’m glad I did. The exam room I was briefly shown into was dirty and clearly not sanitized between patients. As if that wasn’t enough, the front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and seemed genuinely happy to see me leave. If you value your time, your health, or basic respect, go anywhere else. This place shouldn't be operating under these conditions.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service! Not only did they make me feel comfortable but they didn't judge me. Especially after not seeing a dentist after years due to being homeless. They just wanted to genuinely help and made me feel so welcomed. 10/10 highly recommended this location.

Positive experience: I came to get a root canal and my wisdom teeth removed here about a year ago. I’m sure like most of you, I hate coming to the dentist, but Dr Patel and Elena were very patient and attentive with me. I would 100% recommend them! Today I was attended by Olga and she was very nice as well :)

Negative experience: From my recent visit, I got a minor bad experienced with the staff tech who did the initial cleaning and application of flouride. She is a little bit rough and done things in a hurry. She accidentally hit my inner gums and lips with the metal suction which I felt discomfort/pain. I understand the hassle and stress work environment. But being a safety advocate to a client or making sure the comfort of a patient is such an A plus for customer service. I still hope for better improvement on my next visit.

Negative experience: The front desk receptionist was so rude. The moment I got to front desk she never smiled and when I asked a question she stared at me like she wanted to say something nasty then answered a short "yes I need that information" then when I returned after filling paperwork she took the clipboard, never looked up and didn't say a word until I asked if she needed anything else. At which point she said no. Almost walked out, but I figure I'll give the actual dentist a chance

Negative experience: Office dirty, no entertainment for kids, floor in exam room was FILTHY. They call people out of order with over an hour plus wait time IN THE MORNING. If my daughter didn’t have a tooth ache we wouldn’t be here! DEFINITELY GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE FROM NOW ON.

Negative experience: I was already nervous...They gave me a cleaning..I was leaned too far back during the procedure because the dentist was too short..I was choking the whole time and it was traumatizing..I never had this type of situation before..they werent asking me if I needed more suction to get saliva out..I was crying during procedure..I was going in a panic attack because I was experiencing water build up in the back of my throat. I had to take a break...couldnt bring myself for another appointment because I was so rattled...Maybe good for kids here...but not for me at all. My first panic attack at a dentist and I think someone should be reading this and making improvements immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: The Receptionist gives off low key Bias / Prejudice. When it comes to the Latino patients, she very polite and courteous. Myself and others that were none Hispanic was told right away to sit down in a very aggressive and rude tone. Management needs to check into this matter. If it happens again, I will be filing a complaint

Fantastic experience: Honestly, was skeptical because of all the reviews I read but Christian and his team were probably the nicest people I ever met. They treated me so nice and honestly didn’t make me wait long everything was quick and done which I loved. I recommend this place 100% sorry for those that had a bad experience.

Negative experience: I went there today with my daughter and the ladies at the front desk were very rude. I wasted my time being there. I went their to get my dentures resized but they were worried about pulling my daughters wisdom teeth out. There was no explanation for why she needed her teeth to be pulled. The whole staff in there is rude and not very organized with making appointments or helping patients with their proper needs.

Negative experience: Very bad experience today. I am a minor and they refused to let my parent be with me in the room. I got x-rays and pictures taken of my teeth and one of the guys in there said I need 4 teeth pulled out. There was no explanation and they were preparing to remove my wisdom teeth! Very bad service I don't recommend any one to go there for check ups or denture resizing as my mom needed.

Negative experience: Jazmine has very bad customer service she’s unprofessional I asked her a simple question nicely and she gave me really bad attitude and was telling people at the front desk about what I asked her very unprofessional. all I asked was if she cleaned the mouse and keyboard because her hands were going in my mouth and she just asked someone else to finish what she started. Also the front desk lady has very bad customer service very rude never coming back there again.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Maisuria and Elena were the best. They explained my treatment so well and answered all of my questions. Dr. Maisuria is a fantastic dentist because she cares, and she knows what is the best for her patients. Thank you to all the staff as well.

Positive experience: The procedure went well but the front desk reception attitude is quite lackluster. For some a dental office can be rather uncomfortable so first impressions really matter.

Positive experience: I got the service I came for, but the man that did the work came in and set up didn’t say a word to me so I thought that was all he was going to do. Then he adjusted the chair so then I had to tell him I a plate that needed to be removed . I would think that a person would come in say hello I am going to clean your teeth today Ms whoever maybe know that I needed to remove my plate or at least give me a chance to say so I think he could have used more training in the bed side manner. His would have been nice.Other than that my teeth are clean

Negative experience: Jessica the receptionist was very rude on more than one occasion. My 1st appointment was rescheduled after my arrival without explanation. The following appointment She rudely told me to sit down without a greeting. I told her I felt like she was being rude and she did not acknowledge my statement and began to talk to her co workers in Spanish. They began to laugh amongst oneanother. I was then told that there was no doctor on staff for my appointment. When I inquired as to why there was no doctor she said "I have no answer for you" at this point I asked for her name and I told her I will be putting in a formal complaint about her treatment of me as a customer. She appeared to be please that I would be inclined to do so. The ongoing unprofessional attitude towards me I believe is racial discrimination against me as a person. I will no longer use Western Dentals services from here on out.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Zhao and his staff provided exceptional services to me and my wife during our last two visits to the Riverside office. He has shown great patience and very thorough in answering our questions. We have been long-time customers when the office was under a previous management, and we never felt that we received the proper diagnosis and treatment, but this time around under Dr. Zhao's new management, we felt for the very first time, that the office deserved a 5-star rating from us. Two thumbs up for Dr. Zhao and his team!

Negative experience: Horrible service. My appointment was at 11am didn’t get called til 12:45 just so the dentist could tell me my insurance did not approve my filling. At this point I was just frustrated with everyone there. Seems like they are short staff and there is a lack of communication amongs themselves. Ended up telling the dentist just to do my regular cleaning which is covered by my insurance. Not sure if this is a new dentist or something but she did a shitty job for a cleaning she honestly took five minutes on my cleaning and ended up spraying water up my nose. Big red flag this has never happened to me before and I’ve been going to this office for a few years now. After that she put my chair up and said she was done? I turned around and asked if she was going to polish my teeth? She then said yes and ask someone else to do it. Since when do you have to ask the dentist to polish your teeth? Thats part of the cleaning process and I know this because I do regular cleanings year after year. Two hour wait just for a shitty 5 minute service definitely not worth it. Waiting to speak to the manager because of course she is not in til Wednesday.

Positive experience: I always have a great visit at Western Dental. Today I had to wait like almost an hour to be seen for xrays. I'm not sure what happened. My appointment was at 12 noon. I was seen 10 minutes before 1pm. Other than that things r good.

Negative experience: Definitely do not recommend. I came for a regular checkup and cleaning and arrived an hour early to my appointment to assure everything was filled out and I was seen on time. My appointment was at 10:30, I was not seen until 10:55. All the standard xrays and photos were taken and I was waiting for a cleaning only to be told at 11:45 that it would be an additional 30-45 minute wait. I did not have time and had to reschedule, so I left at almost noon with no work done or an explanation as to why this happened.

Negative experience: If I could give this place no stars I would definitely. I called for an emergency appt. And talked to a Katie from phillipines. She made me an appt. At 2 pm this last Saturday for a same day appt. at the Madison address in Riverside. I got to the appt at 1:17 pm and went inside to check in. The man upfront on computer was very nice and greeted me. I told him I had an emergency appt at 2 pm. Then Christina the office manager walked up behind him while he was looking at his computer screen. She said they couldnt find my appt. And then she proceeded to tell me that one of the dentists went home sick. I asked her what was I supposed to do cause I was in a lot of pain? She said to go to the emergency room. So I went to Riverside community hospital and they complained cause I didn't go to the dentist and instead went to them. I let them know what happened with the dentist. They reluctantly gave me an antibiotic and ibuprofen 800 after I asked for them repeatedly. So Western dental was very rude unprofessional and plain out un called for. Before I went to the hospital, I called Western dental back to let them know that I wouldn't be going there again. Maricella stated that I did have the appt at 2 pm on Saturday like I said. I will never go back to western dental again. Very very unprofessional rude and straight out awful.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, liked the whole experience. Hadn't been to the dentist for over 9yrs. Due to pain but my dentist did an excellent job. Root Canal no pain during or after

Negative experience: I have been going to this office for years, I had chosen to stay with them because they have amazing dentists! However, the two ladies working the front desk, (which includes the manager) are just awful! Througout the time I was going there, I repeatedly got treated as if I were a nuisance. If I had a question, I was answered with a long pause (she was clearly annoyed to have to answer) then answered with a very very short reply. I could FEEL the words being thrown at me. She wouldn't even look at my face when talking just stare straight into the screen and chew on her gum at a speed of 1000 mph. I believe Western Dental has great dentists and will be looking for another location, but I highly suggest not going to this office, other reviews talk about the same person and receiving the same treatment I recieved.

Negative experience: I wish I could rate 0 stars. I came here because I wanted to fix my smile so I decided to get braces and they messed me up. They performed a surgery that I didn’t even need to begin with. Im definitely going to make a complain for malpractice. Now im stuck still having to pay a lot of $ for a surgery that wasn’t needed. Save your money for a good orthodontist who actually knows what he’s doing ! :(

Fantastic experience: Once my procedure started, it was in timely fashion. Dr Patel is efficient and amazing. She has her staff in check and are professional, and that’s what we need in our world.

Negative experience: Don’t come here I waited an hour and they knew my baby was coming because he had an appointment to now they are refusing to do my x ray and fix my tooth. Mind you they knew it was just my baby and me our apt was at 2:45 pm they didn’t call us back until 4:00 just to tell me that one they aren’t a baby sitting service when I didn’t even ask the lady to hold my baby and that she won’t be doing my x ray . She was rude kept putting me down and saying how she wouldn’t hold him when again I never asked her too. Then she takes us to the back to supposedly see my baby since she refused to do dental work on me even though I paid . To not even seeing my son and having us sit there for another 9 minutes before I decide to leave . I will be reporting her to corporate and I hope they do something because no one deserves to be treated or talked to like this

Negative experience: Left waiting for an hour and a half to be seen by the doctor after being given x rays by a technician who didn't seem to know what she was doing. Finally gave up and left, and was told AFTERWARD that they had only ONE doctor working at the whole facility. The place is a rat hole with uncompassionate staff.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. The girl at the front, who wears a lot of make up, is very unprofessional and lacks the intelligence that would allow her to do the right thing. She had the biggest attitude because I was concerned with their puntuality. Always behind, they had me wait an hour to be seen. A courtesy call would have been nice to give me the option to reschedule. Please do yourself a favor and go some where else. Western Dental may seem convenient because but it ends up being more of a hassle.

Fantastic experience: I only put 5 stars so this could be posted at the top. Western Dental has gave me the worst experience with treating dental pain. I was told that i had to get a root canal done even though i was in excruciating pain. The pain I was experiencing was unbearable so I decided to call and to check and see the status of my approval for the root canal. When I called the staff was really rude and insensitive. Eventually I was able to come in and get some work done on the tooth (still not a root canal). I was told by the dentist Dr. Patel that I would be receiving a prescription for the pain. When I went to my pharmacy to pick up the prescription 3hrs later it hadn't been received by the pharmacy. When I called to inquire about having the prescription sent over they told me that the dentist will put in the order when she's ready. It's going on 4hrs and nothing. As I am calling back to check the status I keep getting hung up on, I was told don't call back no more, I've been on hold and no one has answered. THIS BUSINESS HAS TREATED ME LIKE I AM NOT HUMAN. I am an African American so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with this mistreatment. Don't waste your time here if you don't want to be disrespected and disregarded. Later, I went back to continue treatment, and I was approached by Dr. Patel (walked up and hovered over me while sitting in the operation chair) regarding this review and was denied services because the review was displeasing to her. Instead of addressing and resolving the issues, all she cared about was her image. The manager also participated and supported in this mistreatment. Not to mention, the permanent bridge that they applied came off within a year. Aside from horrible customer service, good quality work was not done here. After reporting my concerns and the harassment I experienced, nothing was done nor was a follow up made. I am updating this post to let everyone know that Dr. Patel still works there, so if you do go, please request for another dentist.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. I called to get info on a referral and the lady hung up on me. Literally could hear her sigh pause and hang up the receiver!! Been going back and forth with them to get clearance for my orthodontist and they have been stalling the process! Filed a grievance immediately after she hung up on me!! They should retrain their staff on customer service!! Well retrain her atleast!

Negative experience: I began orthodontic treatment here in the first third of 2022. It’s affordable. I didn’t know what I was getting into, but I trusted the professionals to take care of me, and had this idea in my head that the outcome would be very predictable. Please beware: do your research on holistic and airway orthodontics before consulting anywhere. This office (and most of the orthodontic industry) will only consider two things: straightening the teeth and having you sign off their responsibility for malpractice. I was told I needed four premolar extractions before even having X-ray’s conducted. Then, I was told I needed four wisdom teeth extractions, though I never experienced pain or infection. I went through with both recommendations in hopes that this would allow for an optimized treatment process. Then, we fully dove into braces. About a week in, it became clear that something wasn’t right. My tongue. It felt as though I couldn’t help but focus on my tongue at all times. It no longer fit in my mouth the same way it did just a week before. When I brought this feeling up to the orthodontist, my concerns were dismissed. I’d begun to do some of my own research on this feeling and learned it was likely a result of my extractions (having less teeth in my mouth to support alveolar bone created less transversal and sagital space for my tongue to rest flat on the roof of my mouth, so it was collapsing into my AIRWAY, restricting it and making it increasingly difficult to breathe without labor), and when I mentioned these possibilities at Western Dental and Orthodonics, I was told that none of what I had read online was true or even remotely possible. After this, I sought outside opinions from local orthodontics who specialize in airway, craneofacial harmony, temporomandibular joint disorder, periodontics, and even one who studied the neurological effects of poorly developed jaws. I started to analyze all the negative effects I was experiencing and realized I never believed it could be possible to cause so much damage from an apparent “treatment plan.” I learned that the “extract-and-retract” approach I was unfortunately handed was destroying my health, and that there are many alternatives to extractions such as bone-borne expansion as a compensatory form or alveolar generation. My Western Dental trajectory would have taken my severely crowded smile and formed it into a straight, aligned occlusion, but was simultaneously exacerbating a narrow maxillary arch, retracting my maxilla and mandible as shown on CBCT scans I later had conducted at an oral surgery facility, collapsing my tongue posture and consequentially my neck posture, restricting my airway (as shown on a sleep oximeter test), dysphagia, hyoid displacement, tinnitus, daily headaches and chronic exhaustion. Chewing, speaking, sleeping and walking have all become difficult as a result of these changes. My facial appearance has changed for the worse and the psychological effects of seeing this gradually occurring isn’t something I’d wish upon anyone. I ended my contract with Western Dental in June of 2022, about three months into the process. It took six month of consulting at almost a dozen Southern California orthodontic offices to find one I trust but, thankfully, I’m on the correct path towards healthy airway and occlusion now. It won’t be an easy process. It’ll take two to three years and will involve a handful of specialists, but it’s necessary. In short, I feel extremely deceived. I had a bad case of crowding and jaw deficiencies that I was not made aware of when I consulted at Western Dental and these factors weren’t considered when approaching me. This made trusting their plan exponentially worse for me, specifically. However, if you look into the effects of extracting and retracting in ortho on a general scale, you will be shocked this is still being practiced today after it has become known, objectively, as detrimental. Be cautious, new patients, and use proper judgement. This will effect more than just your teeth.

Negative experience: if you have iehp double call to verify your appointment because the people that schedule your appointment don’t actually do it. i just saved myself from an inconvenience and i’m only allowed to visit the dentist once a year for clean up due to my insurance, i want to save everyone the headache so be sure to double call and verify you appointments because i think they remove your appointments without your consent..

Mari was especially helpful as she gave me different options for payment plans. The care I received was top notch. Each person was concerned about making me as comfortable as possible.

Fantastic experience: I got there for my appointment at the orthodontist and they welcomed me and checked me in quickly. I only waited about a few minutes to get called in, Irma helped me inside and directed me to my seat. She was very welcoming and talked to me through the whole process of changing my wires to thicker ones and explained to me how to adjust my wires. She was very helpful and charismatic. Makes me look forward for next time to show him my progress.
