They always go out of their way to really take the time to explain not just to me, but to my son about what they will be doing at each appointment in detail which is really important to my son because he likes to know exactly what to expect. We’ve been with Media Lima for a long time and can’t imagine going anywhere else. They have also been beyond accommodating if we need to reschedule an appt -or if we missed one…or two :) - We can’t recommend this practice enough!

Dr. Perry was confident and upbeat as he repaired the tooth, communicating each step of the way what was going on. As a senior, I appreciated the basic service plan and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they were able to see me for my first visit. Dr. Sung reviewed my prior dental records, took a number of new x-rays, explained everything he was doing, gave me advice on how to improve my dental hygiene and then suggested a course of treatment going forward. Fantastic experience: I had two permanent bridges attached to implants on my top teeth yesterday. A full row of beautiful teeth where I previously had only 3 back teeth! I have a strong phobia about dentistry and I have never experienced any dental visit without trepidation EXCEPT at Lima dental 2/24/25 Dr. Sun is the best dentist I ever had the pleasure to meet. Previously I would be panicked at the thought of a dental visit. That is not the case now. Dr. Sun and his hygienist are the most qualified, gentle, supportive professionals. The office is always well run, clean and the personnel charming and helpful.

My son came here because it was the only place that would get my son to be calm and follow direction. Negative experience: Beware if you have kids, they are not flexible! I had to reschedule 2 appointments in the past 30 days due to my kids being sick. They told me they have to charge me $50/child for the second reschedule since I did not give them 48-hour advance notice. I completely understand trying to avoid no shows and last minute cancellations, but I offered numerous times to provide a doctor's note for BOTH rescheduled appointments and they simply said, "Sorry, it's our policy, there's nothing we can do". I don't understand how they can be so inflexible when it comes to children! Should I have just brought my vomiting child to the first visit? Should I bring my child who has a fever to the rescheduled visit?? I have no choice in this situation and can provide a medical note, but it isn't their policy so they are charging me $100. UNREAL for a pediatric dentist!

Fantastic experience: I was so pleased with our first experience at Media Lima Dental! My kids were nervous but every member of the staff made them feel comfortable and safe. They were incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything to me and the kids in words we could understand. My five year old daughter left the office and said she wants to be a dentist when she grows up. I don’t know if there is a better compliment than that!

Positive experience: Update: on 4/7 I received an email that there will be no charge for the X-ray so moving to 3 stars. My in laws did not have to pay out of pocket even though that was what I was originally told by the practice - that insurance would not cover this xray. This practice had no respect for my decision to wait until our insurance time between xrays passed before they took xrays. Grandparents had them there and had the practice talk to me and I said we are going to wait. The dentist cornered my mother in law (who I had not given permission on paperwork to do anymore than cleaning, flouride, and a checkup) and did the xray anyway. This is in direct defiance of both the paperwork I signed and the phone call directive I gave when my children were in the office. It seems particularly hard these days to find an ethical dentist. It’s all about upselling.

Negative experience: Horrible ! Today John h Keon told me basically my children can’t come back because they are too loud for his office ! A children’s dentist that can’t handle children! Unbelievable! Don’t recommend this place at all . Make sure your child doesn’t make one sound while at the pediatric because apparently they don’t like it !

Fantastic experience: I have used this practice for many years. When I first went to them, I had been misdiagnosed by another practice and wound up needing a root canal (performed elsewhere) and a crown. I haven't had any other problems since then. I am a dental phobe and the hygienist is able to get me to relax. I don't have dental insurance, and use their plan.. I pay a yearly fee that gives me x-rays, an exam, 2 annual cleanings, and a percentage off any other work that needs to be done. They do a great job with scheduling appointments; I am always seen promptly. All the staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommend them.

The front office staff is professional and helpful- I was even able to adjust an appointment on short notice. Dr. Kwon is kind and thorough in working with us and our kids. Most of all, after both visits my kids talked about how much more they prefer our new dentist and how positive the experience has been for them. One even had a cavity filled, so that's saying something!

Dr. John was awesome as well! He was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed and taken care of. My daughter was sad when we left because she wanted to stay. Even when she got her filling she said it was "the best day ever because she got sparkles in her teeth". They also make a big deal about completing the appointment and getting super cool prize at the end! She had a great time at the dentist…did not see that coming!
