Negative experience: Made an appointment MONTHS in advanced. Because it was the closest available. Made it to the appointment today and from the second I walked in the door I was met with a rude unprofessional desk lady. I'm not going to say she was anything else. My family and I open the door and it's not, hi welcome to splendid or anything like that it's a horrible facial expression like I shouldn't be there at 915am and a "what are you here for" not a "can I help you". I tell her I'm there for my son's appt, she asked his age and then says they don't do pediatric dentistry. I tell her I have an appointment and I showed her on my phone my confirmation email of the appointment. THEN, she said the dentist for children isn't working today. So I told her she just said they don't take kids and now the issue is the doctor isn't there. I'm like okay I need to reschedule then, and I need a return to school form for my son's appointment, that he didn't get to have today. She said she can't print him a form. Said she can't even look to find him in the computer because he's a new patient(who is in the system with an appointment for that day with a doctor who isn't in office and has no digital schedule for the office lady to see). I get her to write me a hand written school note and of course it's illegible and the school was informed about all of it and I gave the school her card to call for confirmation that he was in the office unseen today. I do have another appointment scheduled. Unfortunately insurance picked this place and I don't have another that will take it within too many miles. Overall- Unprofessional lady at the front desk. Rude and never once apologized or even attempted to correct any situation. Very unhelpful.

Negative experience: Had an appointment at 3:30 pm, it’s 4:50 pm and I’m still waiting in the waiting room and they have no reason to give me about this huge delay. They don’t respect people’s time ! Won’t be back to this place.

Negative experience: Left with more questions than answers. The dr rushed our visit and offered no solutions to my son’s dental concerns. When she was done talking, she didn’t even say goodbye and just left the room without all our necessary paperwork and contact info. I had to ask the front desk assistant for help 2 times for the correct contact info. Both numbers was given was wrong. And was told to google the dentistry and call all the sister locations… It was only until I was transferred to corporate until I realized we were referred to a location over an hour away. The exam room we were assigned to also had storage boxes stacked in the corner and the dentist was rude to the assistant about turning the tv off since my son couldn’t get comfortable. When shared my son is a nervous patient, he was quickly dismissed and referred elsewhere. Very disappointing visit… would not recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: The office staff is so kind, and they did get me in quickly, but if you're quoted a large amount, get a second opinion just to be sure. I was told they couldn't do a root canal and had to pull my tooth and do an implant. Quoted me $7,500 . They did say they would lower it to $5,000. Then said they didn't have time to talk to me and I had to pull the tooth and if I didn't do an implant I would have gaps and be "disfigured"?! However, I got another opinion anyway and didn't need either! A simple crown (from my second and third opinion because I was so confused and shocked) and I'm good to go. $600 crown at a different place and I'm perfectly fine. So,nice people, but I just don't trust them anymore. Seemed to care about $ in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Taylor is truly the heart of the dental office. She’s always extremely friendly, welcoming you with a smile every time you walk in. She goes above and beyond to help with any dental needs, questions, or scheduling requests, and she makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Her professionalism, kindness, and helpful attitude make every visit feel comfortable. Highly recommend this office just for the amazing service she provides!

Negative experience: I was grateful to get a same day appointment, however, I walked in only to feel like I was an inconvenience to help due to the front desk lady bickering to one of the nurses about how the people who schedule always do this them, she's sick of it and hate when these appointments just get thrown on their schedule. I was unaware of them having a 3rd party answering service so when they got all of my insurance information and said I was good to go, I assumed it would be. Nope. I get it, insurance companies can be a hassle. With a lobby full of people, more bickering about having to deal with my insurance company on a weekend started up. If I wasn't in so much pain, I would have gotten up and left in that moment. It took forever to be taken back for xrays, back to the lobby then more waiting to be put in a room only for the dr to come in, barely look in my mouth at all only to say a wisdom tooth needs to come out, I'll give you antibiotics and pain reliever then left out without going over anything at all. I spent more time in the lobby listening to how inconvenienced the front desk person was than I did with the dentist. I was told as I was leaving out that they would contact me after they got the procedure approved from my insurance. I called today and was told it doesn't look like it was started, I can do that now. No thanks, I'd like to not have to call to make sure someone's job is being done. I went somewhere else today and was told the antibiotics and pain reliever I was put on was not what I should've been on. That's lovely. More time wasted. The only reason I gave a 2 star was because the nurse I had was really nice. Other than that, highly don't recommend scheduling same day with their answering service, you might be an inconvenience too.

I had multiple questions for Maria who cleaned my teeth) and she was very nice and answered my questions. Overall a pleasant experience

Negative experience: They are not very transparent when it comes to the insurance companies they accept or maybe not thorough at checking if your insurance is accepted. Either way my dental plan covers all preventative care but after the treatment I was told my insurance wasn’t covered. In my view that should all be checked prior to providing any treatment …not after

Negative experience: I have no real problem with the dentist and assistants. But, when told that the medication they prescribed after having 3 teeth removed required a prior authorization be filed with my insurance, I was just told “We don’t do that. I don’t know how to do that. I’d have to call corporate” No effort to fix it. Just passed the issue on to someone else. Told me to call my insurance and pharmacy. I have canceled any further appointments and have already changed offices. This is unacceptable customer service.

Negative experience: For starters, I wasn’t even seen on the day I scheduled my appointment for. On 10/7/25 I scheduled my appointment to be seen. I gave all of my information along with the two dental insurance plans I have. I did the new patient registration the day prior to my appointment as well so everything would be good to go for my appointment on 10/10/25. I received a phone phone the day of my appointment letting me know that they don’t have any of my information on file. That’s crazy because I verified all information over the phone while scheduling my appointment and I did the new patient registration. As I’m speaking with whoever needs to verify my insurance, she informs me that they don’t even take double insurance. Long story short, I don’t want to deal with a facility who waits till the day of to verify information. Especially when I live an hour away. So had I left my house and got this call, it would’ve been a waste of time and gas. I will not be dealing with them. If you choose to deal with them, make sure all your ducks are in a row before you decide to commute to this office.

Negative experience: Avoid Splendid Dental in Spring! I was seen here back in 2022, and out of nowhere in 2025, I received a notice in the mail saying I owed $25 and would be sent to collections. When I called to ask where this balance came from, no one could explain it. I’ve always paid what I owed at the time of service, and even the woman on the phone confirmed that patients must pay their deductible before being seen — exactly my point! Yet, she was extremely rude and hung up on me. Now I’m being forced to pay money I know I don’t owe. Unfortunately, it’s been three years, so I no longer have my old receipts. Please be cautious — keep all your paperwork and think twice before choosing this office.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. First, they charge a mandatory $12 “supply fee” that is not covered by insurance for every patient. I wasn’t informed about this upfront and only found out after receiving the bill — which felt misleading. Second, our appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM. We arrived early, around 8:45 AM, to complete the paperwork. However, we ended up waiting until 9:40 AM because the office manager hadn’t arrived, and apparently no one else could provide the necessary forms. Everybody was waiting for that office manager. This level of disorganization and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly love the staff.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! They did my root canal incorrectly and, after seeing the report from my new endodontist that proved this (Dr. Tran missed a canal and left infection in the root), they promised a refund. Now, they are not issuing the refund and are sending me in circles. They have even sent me to collections for an amount I do not owe (they mistakenly charged me and admitted so).

Fantastic experience: My endodontist, Dr. Gaitan and his assistant Bri were wonderful, I had a root canal done and the procedure was done in less than an hour. Bri put some relaxing music and gave me some dark glasses. This experience was the best I ever had done. I recommend this dental office, you will not regret it. ♥️

They care deeply for their patients and try and come up with the best plan that is both cost effective and beneficial. Mary is absolutely wonderful and will help go to every length to make sure your insurance gives you every coverage available. She personally called my insurance to make sure they would follow through with treatment. I can’t even emphasize enough what an excellent place this is to have your dental needs met. From the ladies at checkout to the hygienists to the doctor and everyone in between were incredibly kind and helpful. So grateful for them!

Negative experience: My experience at this dental office was extremely disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share my honest feedback from beginning to end. Upon arriving, the office appeared unorganized and unprepared. The environment did not feel welcoming, safe, or professional. Shortly after checking in, I observed concerning behavior from a woman who appeared to oversee the billing department. She spoke to the front desk staff in a demeaning and disrespectful manner. When asked a simple question regarding my insurance, she loudly responded, “I don’t know! Don’t ask me! I have too much to do today and don’t have time for that!” The staff at the front desk appeared embarrassed and discouraged, which made me feel uneasy about continuing my appointment. During my cleaning, the dentist was noticeably distracted, engaging in casual conversations with another staff member about cars rather than focusing on my care. On multiple occasions, I was poked painfully in my gums. Without any notice, the dentist abruptly left the room to assist another patient, leaving me sitting there with debris still in my mouth. A dental assistant eventually returned, gave me a partial rinse, and sent me to the front desk for checkout. I still had particles in my mouth and had to rinse it out myself in the restroom sink. This was both unprofessional and unhygienic. To make matters worse, I was billed for several services (6–8 line items) that were never performed. My visit only consisted of a very basic cleaning, yet I was charged for procedures that simply did not occur. There were several other moments throughout the visit that made me uncomfortable, but the above were the most concerning. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, disrespected, and misled. Unfortunately, I will never return to this office and cannot recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: Mary and Dr.Tran were amazing!! Super welcoming, very reassuring, and took very good care of my fiancé and his teeth. If we need anything at all done with our teeth, we will definitely be coming back! 1000/5 stars!!

Negative experience: Initially, the office staff was warm and inviting. As the visit progressed, the staff members became dismissive and did not fully answer my questions. When I asked to them to explain the best possible solution for payment, it seemed as if the office staff became aggressive with me getting services and paying out of pocket. Overall, the appointment was disappointing. While a prescription was called in, no one offered a follow up or a better explanation. I really wanted to find my dentist, but this was a let down. One positive is that I was seen quickly.

Negative experience: It has been so hard finding a really good dentist since moving to Texas. However, I made an appointment with this place for a cleaning for 9am. Got there at least 5 minutes before to fill out very basic paper work. Around 9:30 ish I got my X-rays usually after X-rays you’ll get in the chair to start the cleaning , but they asked me to go back to the waiting room and a little after 10am. I had still not been seen. With an appointment I feel like I definitely should not have been waiting for a little over an hour to get my teeth cleaned. On top of that, the manager, didn’t even get her name, was so dismissive, raising her voice at the receptionist instead of addressing her privately which to me is unprofessional, and yelling around the office. Just not the most pleasant experience or maybe just not the place for me.

Fantastic experience: I usually always have hated going to the dentist, but Dr Tran, Edith, Miss Mary, and all the staff puts you at ease, while you are there. It’s also nice, not having a big turnover, and having a new dentist at each visit.

Negative experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite a while, totally on me, so I decided to try out a new office in my area. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unprofessional. The manager was speaking loudly across the rooms, joking around and asking someone “what are you watching?” which didn’t set a great tone. During my X-rays, there was constant gossiping between staff, which made the appointment feel chaotic and unfocused. The same staff member who was chatting during the X-rays also ended up cleaning my teeth, and to be honest, they didn’t feel any cleaner afterward. The cleaning felt rushed and messy, and my teeth didn’t have that smooth, fresh feeling you expect after a dental visit. I’d recommend looking into other dental offices before making an appointment here. Your dental care should feel professional, thorough, and respectful of your time.

Negative experience: We had an appointment scheduled, I showed up and they said they left me a voicemail to cancel it because the dentist had an “emergency”. The front desk seemed annoyed that I said; I had not received a message. We rescheduled and I showed up, they called again last minute to reschedule again the dentist had an “emergency”. So I rescheduled and on that day. Sure enough they called a third time to have me come in earlier because I was the only afternoon appointment. Like I am sitting around at home just waiting for this one appointment all day. I have kids a need a babysitter to watch my kids. It’s ridiculous to call last minute 3 times! If we the clients showed up without an appointment just needing to be seen earlier than our appointment , they would most definitely say we need an appointment. Funny thing is they did this for my child’s appointments also. If you can’t be taken seriously about an appointment I can’t trust you with a dental medical procedure. They seem very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: For someone who has had horrible experiences with previous dentists, Dr. Tran is phenomenal! He is gentle, honest & truly want whats best for his patients! Mrs. Mary & the entire staff was so kind & helpful. The office is modern & warm, plus the rooms have TVs to help ease the nerves. By far the best dentist office I've been to in YEARS! 10/10 would recommend.

ABSOLUTE GARAGE COMPANY. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF AND READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I GOT A SECOND OPINION AND SPLENDID IS NOT SPLENDID. THEY MADE UP TREATMENTS I DIDN'T NEED AND PRICES Update 3: DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS. THEY WILL TRY TO OVERCHARGE YOU AND NOT SEND CLAIMS TO YOUR INSURANCE. Please read the other reviews of the same nature. They are scammers, will commit insurance fraud and price gouge you and hope you're ignorant to your dental insurance coverage particularly if you have Guardian. They refuse to send in pre-authorization or anything to your insurance. The only thing they do here is take advantage of people. Despite reaching out multiple times to the office and WeCare@Lovett email AS REQUESTED BY THE "OWNER" no one has responded and I'll be moving on to reporting this office to the Dental State Board, BBB, and Guardian. The owner consistently changes their response to the review and has yet to provide a contact for management. First they wanted to handle this "privately" (THATS SHADY) then they wanted me to reach out to WeCare@Lovett"(NEVER RESPONDED) now they want me to reach out to the owner or manager directly without a contact. I have screen shots of each changed response I will be including in my complaint. Update 2: Please read all the negative reviews and if you have Guardian Dental DO NOT COME HERE AND GET RIPPED OFF. I have emailed both the office and the WeCare email as requested by the previous response and given five business days for a response and no surprise not one person has responded. Do not come to this office unless you want to overpay for procecures. Update: My insurance has confirmed that no claims were ever sent into them and the treatment plan i received is fabricated. Both my insurance and I have attempted to reach out to this office for resolution but Spledid purposely has their calls forwarded to a call center or to someone who is unable to help you. Sending you into one big circle hoping clients give up. Most respectable companies provide a phone number to customer resolution center in the response when they are genuine about helping you. No surprise Spledid isn't a respectable company and there is no true and honest desire to "handle" things from Splendid dental. I have emailed the office as well and have been nothing but ignored by Mary at the front desk. Do not come to this office. Please read the other reviews of the same nature. They are scammers, will commit insurance fraud and price gouge you and hope you're ignorant to your dental insurance coverage. They refuse to send in pre-authorization or anything to you insurance. This is my assigned dental office through my insurance. My dental insurance has fixed rates for services. the medical codes provided to me on my treatment plan were gouged and completely violated Guardians agreement on cost. They knowingly overcharged me for my copay and lied about my coverage. For example d2391 has a fixed rate of $56 and that is a contractual agreement this office has with Guardian dental. They tried to tell me my insurance does not cover a majority of my treatment plan and that the cost for that code was $279. This is only one of MANY codes I confirmed with my insurance that was price gouged. I also confirmed they never sent in ANY claims to my insurance. This place literally prays people don't check with their insurance and counts on them being ignorant to their coverages and not take the time to check with their insurance. This is insurance fraud and I would never recommend this office to others after this experience. I will be filing a complaint with Guardian and the Texas State Board of Dental.

Negative experience: Went in for a bad tooth that has a route exposed found out.I needed a lot more work. The staff was very friand made me feel very comfortable. I was looking forward to having my future visits there. Basically, found out I needed almost every tooth in my mouth pulled. I decidedI was gonna get the implants or a bridge. They were going to write up the financial end for me. Then when that was done, i would schedule for next day and start the process and have this bad tooth pulled. Well, not only did they change up pricing for the single extraction,, but it's been 8 days now and no contact. I have reached out each day..They have never returned my calls or the emails that were sent over by the call center. Im in a lot of pain. They know that im in pain. 8 days ago they were going to give me a prescription for the pain until I had it pulled. Today I finally got them on the phone and the manager of the office had to speak with the dentist before approving the pain medicine to get me through till Monday since now I have to come up with more money in order to have it extracted. They closed and never called me back.So now I get to sit until next week in pain with this bad tooth. You cannot tell me they actually care about the patient. I refuse to go back. I will find someone new to see. This place is awful.

Negative experience: How about 0 stars. Beware of this place! This place is the worst dental office I’ve ever been to. Garbage! And with a very rude staff. I knew not to come back. I came for a simple teeth cleaning which they refuse to do because I needed a “deep cleaning” instead. Infuriating. It never fails, they will always find something wrong before doing any work just to get money from you. It’s a scam. I will be contacting my insurance to make sure they won’t charge them for any work that was not done. I only returned because I switched insurance and chose the wrong plan. Now I have to wait for the enrollment period to open and go back to my regular dentist. Trust me, they will do this to you. DO NOT GO THERE!

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was very nice, welcoming and helpful! The doctor, manager (or insurance lady), and other technicians were also very nice and helped ease my anxiety related to going to the dentist

Fantastic experience: Very clean office. Great staff and great service. Actually didn’t have to wait long for the first time at a dental office. Arrived before my appointment and was taken in before my appointment time.

Negative experience: Everyone was friendly. And for the first time a dentist went straight to my pain and problem! Amazing team there! UPDATE: I still feel the same about everyone being friendly and how they went straight to the source of my discomfort….BUT I finally received my full treatment plan and was able to go over it with Mary. And boy of boy was I in shock seeing the repetitive charges and codes I couldn’t find on my insurance fee chart. I was told that it was because of the type of insurance (DHMO) and the fee schedule they could charge what they want. A tooth extraction was priced to almost $600. A crown had an up charge for Zirconia ($518)…the charges just didn’t sit right in my spirit. I’ve had terrible experiences with Dental offices in the past…so I was trying to be sure about where I would call my dental home. I also choose my insurance plan based on the insurance fee chart because I know that I had work to get done. I called my insurance and like many other reviewers stated they added charges that were incorrect. OVERCHARGED. Overpriced! My tooth extraction should have been $52 plus $50 copay. So totaling $102 NOT $600! The up charge of $518 for a crown isn’t suppose to happen either because they aren’t suppose to charge for the brand they choose. I hate to write this review because I had some hope in splendid dental but my experience between my treatment plan cost and actual cost with my insurance coverage is unacceptable.

Negative experience: Extremely long wait, very over priced, and incompetent. My appointment was at 8 am. Showed up a few minutes before after completing all my paperwork online. Listened to Mary have what should have been private conversations on speaker phone and then sat for 40 minutes before being called to sign and pay. Sat for another 20 minutes before being shown to a room. Sat in the room for an hour before the doctor came in. The doctor proceeded to tell me I know nothing about my teeth (I have dental issues that I have addressed regularly throughout my life, meaning visits every six months, treatments, brush twice a day, floss daily), read gum numbers that don’t match anything I’ve had before, said I need a deep cleaning, which was fine with me. Wait again, for Mary to enter and tell me that my cleaning will be over 600$ after charging insurance over 2,000$. They greet you with a caring attitude then treat you like an idiot, recommend the most aggressive option, then charge outrageous prices. This is my second negative experience with them in 5 years and I only went back because it’s where my insurance told me to go and I assumed management and doctors change just like everywhere else.
