Compassionate. Shunnarah knows his stuff. And, he and his staff are just good. Good people. Staff is great. Shunnarah is solid dentist...and understanding. Good person. Several visits later and still would highly recommend. The hygienists are professional, gentle and get the job done efficiently and effectively. Teeth have never been cleaner.

It was a warm and pleasant atmosphere. I was also explained about my insurance and the procedure I needed in a way I could understand. I have no complaints.

Fantastic experience: I love this doctor and his staff. I have had multiple trips in the last few weeks and it’s always the same service. The receptionist will know you by your name and they will all treat you like family. If finances are an issue they do everything possible to be sure you can afford dental work & not stress over it. I have fibromyalgia and the doctor understands my pain tolerance is higher than most. He never second guesses and always makes sure I am numb and comfortable. My daughter is 4 and will be seeing him soon.

Now all 3 of my kids also go here & let me say there is no dentist out there that can make better looking crowns or teeth. The staff is also amazing! This dentist is definitely a 12/10! You will NOT regret making the decision of choosing this as your dentist. Thank you for all that you have done for my family ❤️ Below are the teeth of 2 diff people in my family whose teeth he has built (crowns) perfectly. **The photo to the right (just teeth) are just temporary’s- will have the actual crowns put on in a few weeks but still you can see the perfection of this dentist.

Dr. Shunnarah has a passion for the very best for his patients that I’ve never encountered in a dentist! I felt defeated in my quest for a healthy smile and just being able to eat like a normal person but Dr. Shunnarah didn’t hesitate to start a care plan that changed everything!

Fantastic experience: I’m normally not someone who writes reviews — and honestly, I’ve always hated going to the dentist. I’ve had several bad experiences in the past, so I was extremely nervous when I first went to Montevallo Family Dentistry. I actually went there to take a friend who needed her dentures replaced, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted like we’d known them forever. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They treated my friend with such kindness and patience that I was honestly moved — so much that I decided to make an appointment for myself. I don’t have dental insurance, and I was upfront about that. The team was so understanding and transparent about everything. Two weeks ago, I went in for a cleaning, absolutely terrified, but they comforted me every step of the way. I left that day feeling fabulous — something I never thought I’d say after a dental visit! Today, I had to come back for more extensive treatment, and once again, they were absolutely amazing. The dentist and staff kept me calm, laughing, and completely at ease through the whole procedure. They genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to make you feel safe, comfortable, and respected. If you’re anxious about dental work or have had bad experiences elsewhere, I can’t recommend this office enough. They’ve completely changed how I feel about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: A very friendly, kind place to be worked on. Love that everyone learns our names. I especially like listening to Dr. S and the girls sharing things, probably thinking I don’t know what is going on. It is entertaining. 30 miles is not too far to go for dental work there. ❣️❣️

Fantastic experience: All I’ve got to say is it was an awesome experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone, likes to have a laugh, but they are also very professional. I live in Montgomery, but I would drive there from Atlanta if I had to. If you’re having any doubts, sweeping them under the rug. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: My daughter took my elderly mother today and everyone was so kind and helpful! My mother has dementia and it's very difficult for her to move around. The staff went above and beyond to assist my daughter in moving her and made my mother feel safe and comfortable in a situation where she would normally feel anxious and upset. My daughter went on and on about how greag and accomodating they were. We will all be switching to them, I wish I could give them 10 stars!

The dental hygienists were kind and made me feel comfortable because I am terrified of dentists. Dr. Harold Emmons is the best dentist hands down!!! He is compassionate and helped me feel at ease. He did a great job and the procedure was painless!! (Imagine that!!) or maybe am just a good patient !! To be honest it was almost painless!!. Thank you Dr. Emmons!! I also liked Dr. Shunnarah.
