Fantastic experience: I’d been putting off my crowns because of unpleasant previous experiences with dentists who had a hard time numbing my gum/jaw. After 2 shots from the assistant, Dr Austin stepped in and gave me the shot which worked. Any drilling is stressful but it went smoothly and quickly without any pan. His assistant was kind and helpful. It’s always a great experience in spite of some necessary drilling. Dr Austin and his team are truly a pleasure.

Fantastic experience: I have been gong to Austin Family Dentistry for 14 years and I have always a great experience with Dr. Austin and his fine staff. I have been having a problem with a tooth and it felt like a abscess with coming on and called yesterday morning and they were really great at Austin dentistry about getting me in immediately to have It looked at. Turns out I’m probably going to have to have a root canal on a tooth that already had fixed. But they got me on the right medication and now I’m feeling somewhat better. I can’t say enough nice things about the clinic and the fine staff that they have there.

Fantastic experience: It is Always a pleasure….This visit was different, excited to see my smiling hygienist. I was met by Dawn, she was also pleasant as well.. When I asked, where is ……… it was then I was told of her passing… My heart goes out to her family and her dental family. Negative experience: My usual dentist was out of town so I chose to go here to get a tooth pulled. The Doc took almost an hour on an extraction, actual time in my mouth mind you, not counting the time in the chair or reception, a process which takes Dr Scallion no more than 20 minutes every time I went in t get a wisdom tooth pulled. Then, after a really rough hour of having a bone ripped from my face, when I asked after something for the pain that would be present for the next few days I was told "Doc doesn't really believe in painkillers" and to "take some Tylenol." When I explained my other dentist always prescribed me antibiotics and painkillers I was then told "Oh they'll prescribe that for a headache." Probably a good dentist if your kid needs a cleaning or a lesson on flossing, but for any real work I'd highly recommend the little rock branch.

But… these people are outstanding! Today at Austin FAMILY Dentistry, I got (5)cavities filled in one day, and I can say with certainty that I am already looking forward to getting the last cavity filled! I never thought in my life I would say I’m looking forward to my next cavity filling?!!! Ehhmmm whattt???! If I could leave 1000 stars, I WOULD! During my appointment, the dentist suggested a full mouth reconstruction, which I found to be quite surprising. After a thorough examination, I expected a more conservative approach, focusing on necessary treatments rather than an extensive and invasive procedure. The recommendation for such a significant amount of work felt excessive and left me questioning the necessity of the proposed treatments. Very expensive might I add. I sought a second opinion from another dental professional, who confirmed that a full mouth reconstruction was not warranted at this time. This experience raised red flags about the motivations behind the recommendations made by Dr Decoursey. It’s essential for dental professionals to prioritize the well-being and best interests of their patients rather than suggesting unnecessary procedures. While the office was clean and the staff was friendly, I cannot overlook the fact that I felt pressured into considering a treatment plan that seemed more about profit than patient care. I encourage others to seek multiple opinions and do thorough research before proceeding with extensive dental work. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about their dental care.

Fantastic experience: Been a pt here for 25 yrs. Always a professional experience. Got worked in for an urgent root canal recently. Would definitely recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: My experience was terrible. I called them on a Thursday and explained my situation and they said they could fix it with a root canal the following Monday. At my appointment, they did an X-ray first, then asked what I needed, then told me they couldn’t do that there. They already asked me everything on the phone call and confirmed what I needed and let me drive over an hour there to then change their mind I guess. I will never go there again.

Fantastic experience: Every visit at Austin Family Dentistry is Amazing and wonderful!! The staff are friendly and helpful, the office is super clean and features the most up to date equipment and Dr Austin planned it all this way!!! He is the leader by example . He is always upbeat and has a sparkling personality but best of all , his skill level is the best !! I guess you should just go see for yourselves and you’ll find out every bit of this is true!!! She is very careful in scaling the plaque from and in between my teeth and is very thorough in cleaning my teeth! She is the BEST of the Best Hygienists!!!! Dr Austin is an excellent dentist who conducts a thorough exam, including x-rays, of my teeth, when needed, to determine the health of my teeth (cavities, cracks or chips etc), the alignment and/or shifting of my teeth and my bite, as well as assesses the health of my gums. Negative experience: Scheduled my family for a routine visit, provided insurance information and was told services were covered. Again basic routine services. Later I received a large bill and was notified after services that my sons coverage only was not active. Had I been provided honest information prior to services i could have contacted the insurance and resolved the issue or considered other options, there was no emergency. They did not take any responsibility for their mis informing. Instead they made false accusations to try and cover their error. Lack of integrity and doing the right thing to resolve this large bill. Instead they sent it to collections. Integrity goes further than money! Choose a dental family that is honest up front and seeks resolution rather than a way to get money and doesn't care about losing patients. Speaks volumes! Money and other complaints on Yelp and BBB!
