Negative experience: The dentists and hygienists are professional & kind, but my experience with billing policies and the office manager was extremely frustrating. I have a family of five with thousands of dollars in planned dental work, yet there was zero flexibility. Every issue resulted in a threat of $50 rescheduling/cancellation fee. I initially missed an appointment due to a misunderstanding of a confirmation text and was spoken to in a condescending and unpleasant tone by the office manager who called me and threatened the fee and I told her if this conversation continues to go the way it is going there there won't be a fee because I won't be back. I apologize and let that go thinking maybe I had a bad day so I decided to stay. My daughter had an appointment on Thursday and my son and I today (Monday). At daughter's appt I tried to move my son and mine to January because I just got notice that my FSA was maxed out—something I increased next yr specifically for these procedures—but was again threatened with fees so I unhappily kept the appointment and asked for my records. At my son’s appointment today, a 2:30 PM visit for a cleaning and filling;ran past 4:00 PM and they still hadn’t even started the one filling. The Nice doctor asked what happened why I wanted to leave the practice and convinced me to stay because she was so nice. She asked if I want to reschedule the filling since he had school and it was late already so I said sure and decided to again stay with the practice long-term but here comes the front desk admin again saying that if I were to reschedule even though he was there for over an hr that it would be a $50 fee. All of the emotions came rushing right back and I am definitely not going back I was willing to bring my entire family here long-term and spend thousands of dollars, but the lack of accommodation, constant fee threats, and poor communication made it clear that loyalty and circumstances don’t matter here. Not family-friendly and not worth the stress. I understand the inconvenience of rescheduling close to the appointment date but we have many Dr appointments and unfortunately life happens and I've never had this problem happen before and I've never been charged ever or threatened by any other office

Fantastic experience: My wife, ML, had surgery on July 2, and the temporary arches were inserted 24 hours later. Her new smile has been transformative. Better yet, her over all health and well being have definitely improved also. There were a few days of bruising and swelling but all were manageable with ice packs and medications. We just had her 2 week check up and got a great report from the surgeon and staff. She will continue her soft diet until Oct when the healing is complete. Then her permanent arches will be inserted. We can honestly recommend that others do their investigating work and determine if this is the right path for them. We are convinced it was/ is the right one for ML. More than just a new smile - a new and improved dental life. Dr Vaughn and Dr Gundian are both top notch and we appreciate them so much. Thank You and all your staff members!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t typically enjoy dentist appointments however I found myself enjoying meeting Dr. Gundian and also Tammie. Dr. Gundian was very thorough in giving me options on how to proceed with my tooth #18 issues. Tammie was the kindest and friendly provider. I saw her twice and both times she was excellent to have treating me. I will return for future work!

Fantastic experience: Very nice clean office. Staff were friendly, patient and professional every step of the way. The dentist was helpful, polite and explained things with a teaching spirit. Cleaning was gentle and easy. It was my first time going there and very pleased with the experience.

Negative experience: I had an appointment for my child at 4:00 pm, but the staff called earlier and moved it to 3:30 pm. We arrived on time. However, I was very surprised that the entire visit was finished in just about 20 minutes. When we got home, I checked my child’s teeth and noticed that almost all the plaque was still there, as if nothing had been cleaned. My child’s teeth looked almost the same as before the service. I was extremely disappointed, especially since this was supposed to be a routine dental cleaning that should have been done thoroughly. I hope the office will review their procedures to prevent this from happening to other families in the future.

Fantastic experience: In my opinion, this was as good an experience as you could have for a dental implant! Friendly and knowledgeable staff that were helpful and efficient. I had no long waiting and Dr. Gundian did a great job! If you are thinking of an implant, I recommend you check this dental service out!

Fantastic experience: I have personally been going to this practice since I was 16. I have gotten both my husband and daughter moved over with in the past few years. The staff is always personable and caring. They take the time to actually listen and figure out solutions. My daughter had some terrible experiences at a local children’s dentist. She has absolutely loved going to this practice. They take the time to make her comfortable and make sure she’s not in pain. She has left there each time really surprised she wasn’t treated bad or yelled at for telling them anything. I am so grateful to this practice and its team.

Fantastic experience: Like a lot of people, I get anxious when I need any dental procedure out of the norm. When I was told I needed my wisdom tooth removed, I was terrified. Even though this is a fairly routine and common procedure, my concerns were not treated as such. Dr G took the time to listen, explain and assure. I was treated with care and compassion throughout the entire procedure as well as after. I highly recommend this practice for routine care and more!

When I was younger, I fell and knocked out my front teeth — that was the beginning of a long journey filled with multiple dentists, oral surgeons, and countless procedures. In my early 20s, I underwent an extensive dental reconstruction involving extractions, crowns, and bridges. Fast forward to now — after battling autoimmune disease, cancer, and years of dental anxiety and trauma — I hadn’t taken care of my teeth the way I should have. It was finally time to replace my crowns and bridges. The first place I went to told me I’d need a bone graft before implants. They assured me recovery would be easy — but it wasn’t. My face swelled so badly that my eyes nearly closed, and I was in pain for over a week. Feeling misled and traumatized, I didn’t even return for my follow-up for more than a year. When I finally did, they quoted me over $60,000 for top and bottom 4-on-4 implants — something completely out of reach. Then I found 1st Choice Dental. They told me they could do both top and bottom for $38,000, including DreamLine implants and a 5-year warranty. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and compassion. Made it through an extraction and two implants today with Dr. Gundian and his excellent assistant Tammy. They both put me at ease (well, the nitrous helped!) and made sure I was comfortable and well informed at every step of the process. Worth the drive. I'm so glad I found them!

Negative experience: *UPDATE* Owner responds and explains it wasn’t intentional.. but what am I supposed to think when the person doesn’t call me back right after the so-called “dropped call”, you guys have returned my calls multiple times in the past but not this time? The time the call drops in the middle of what I was saying? Very coincidental *I DON’T RECOMMEND* I’m in the middle of my sentence and *click, hangs up* in my face. I even laughed a little but at the end of the day that’s super rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t trust them near my teeth, I’m in so much pain and can’t bite down. Now I have to find a new dentist, a dentist office with no hostile people in it that actually make you feel welcomed once you’re there. 1/10 for this place, none of my family will be going here.

The staff were highly skilled, professional, and had excellent bedside manner that immediately put me at ease. I also appreciated how thoroughly they explained my care plan and reviewed estimated costs upfront, so there were no surprises with billing.

Fantastic experience: Tooth was extracted in preparation for implant. Entire process was painless in spite that tooth had broken off near the gum line. Concern about remaining part of tooth would crack. Dr Gundian removed tooth intact with no pain. He and assistance provided excellent care. I had anticipated difficulty in removing tooth. but it was avoided. I was veery satisfied with results.

I recommend this facility. My husband had 3 teeth pulled today with no consequence. The doctors and oral surgeon are also very pleasant and professional. I have been coming here for years..

Negative experience: So once again 1st choice dental has let me down. They did a great job with the crown. Set an appointment for cleaning today and was confirmed . Then get a phone call telling me I need to go to a periodontist because the Doctor recommended / referred when I had the crown in. This is a completely un necessary and never been required before. In fact not two minutes after hearing from this horrible place I had another cleaning scheduled with a better dentist. NEVER NEVER GO HERE . MONEY GRUBBERS ALL. Had a temp crown put in today. Zelda was excellent . Provided care was friendly and did a great job. Dr. Varun took care of the crown n explained everything very friendly and did a great job. Attempted to schedule a cleaning today. They refused to schedule unless I agreed to a very expensive procedure. I contacted the ADA who told me this procedure was reccommended but not a requirement. I would not refer anyone here. Thats a shame because Dr. Vaughan is a great but she is no longer here but at the new office in Marietta. This place is going down hill very fast.

Negative experience: I've gone here for a number of years and until recently have been very pleased. From the onset, I was told many of my teeth are cracked and that we just need to watch them but if they're not bothering me just basically be aware and pay attention to them. Granted, there is a risk of chipping. Fast forward... having to have a difficult crown procedure, and the dentist being very painful and delivering a traumatic experience...i requested a different dentist.. this different dentist came in trying to get me to do 7 (as i recall) crowns because of these cracked teeth and really elaborated on the risk of cracking etc... not only this, but at check out i was escorted straight to the billing department where they pressured me trying to get me to schedule visits for these 7 crowns. Incidentally, this was my first visit into their recently expended office space.. very very nice office space. I declined the appointments. I have moved to another dentist and the process of getting my dental records transfered was literally like pulling teeth. They were minimally cooperative and less that cordial. 1st choice is definitely not MY first choice any more. It seems the once great philosophy they had has shifted.. seems they are more focused on the business side of things than the patient care that i loved at first.

Fantastic experience: I have recently had numerous dental procedures at the Woodstock office of 1st Choice Dental. Having so much dental work done is not on my list of favorite things, but the staff who have cared for me are at the top of that favorites list. Dr Gundian, Dr. Iyer and every staff member I’ve met have been not only very professional but even more so have shown their competence and caring attitudes with each of my visits. Every person greeted me with smiles, cheerfulness, confidence and compassion. Kudos to the hiring team!! You’ve chosen your staff well. Healthcare is as much about how you treat your patients as it is about competence. It is obvious that there are behavioral expectations in place that set the standards for interactions with patients and each other. You can see it and hear it in your office. Negative experience: 07/02/2025- We will use another dentist. I was at work and not present. My wife was getting her teeth cleaned and our two daughters (11 and 5) were waiting in the lobby. First, my youngest daughter is autistic and created a scene while sitting with my 11 year old. My 11 year old told me that a older lady for the dentist office asked her to take our 5 year old outside in the 90 degree heat. My 11 year old felt like she was being told to go outside and I know that my 5 year old acting out was an inconvenience but to ask two children to wait outside where anything could have happened is crazy. My 11 year old was scared to say no and yes, they should have been in the procedure room with my wife. Regardless, this place is not a family oriented business and we will find a different Dentist.

Fantastic experience: Caring professionals who go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and pain-free. Dr. Varun Iyer, DMD is very knowledgeable, friendly, intent on your comfort. And he does awesome work! Dental assistant, Zelda Grenion is so kind and caring and so intent on making sure your visit is comfortable, that you always know what to expect, that anything that must be adjusted is perfect.

Fantastic experience: Both the doctor and hygienist were so kind and caring. I came here after a negative experience with another dental practice, and I wanted a second opinion. They were understanding and happy to help me with my concerns. I look forward to going back for my next cleaning! Update: one year later and I still highly recommend this practice! Today I came in for a cleaning and my dental assistants were Ethan and Noah and they were so fun! They made me very comfortable (they gave me a pillow and blanket :)) and even made the stressful X-rays fun (and they have never been fun before lol).

Fantastic experience: Fast and efficient work by Amy, Ethan, and Noah who were all pleasant to work with. All fees were discussed up front so no surprises there. Nice, clean office and an easy location to get to.

Positive experience: Came in for a cleaning and got a quote for a filling and a crown. Come in a couple of days later to get the filling and they wanted 60 bucks more to have it done. Got no apology at all for their mess up. Asked if the crown was even right but it went up in price too, in just a matter of a couple of days. We were told the reason it went up is because of our deductible. Well if you added the deductible to the filling then what was the excuse for the crown going up. Thought we were on track with a good dentist but if they can't even apologize for doing something wrong it just proves they don't have your best interest in mind.

Negative experience: CHOOSE WISELY!!! I would like to give this establishment zero stars but it isn't an option. On 5/28/25, I contacted this office to inquire about self pay rates for services. During the call, I was very rudely spoken to by Holly, the office manager. She was very unprofessional and the interaction was quite unpleasant. Holly questioned me as if I were on trial. Rather than providing the requested information (fee for a crown), in a very snarky tone, she asked why I wanted the fee and whether I was already a patient, and stated that no one had ever called to ask about fees. LOL!!!!! The lies you told Holly!!! I found this to be inaccurate and was surprised that she would utter such a statement given that fee inquiries are a common practice in dental offices -- and I told her that. She then proceeded to tell me, in all her arrogance, that the office was not interested in my business. Who does that? And she's the OFFICE MANAGER!!! She should have been tring to GET my business rather than turning my business AWAY. What an IDIOT!!! Owners beware!!! You are losing money because of this lady's nasty attitude an unprofessionalism. Her excessive questioning about me and her hesitancy and ultimate denial/refusal to provide basic pricing information raises questions about the office’s operations and transparency. Why so secretive about a fee??? And why do you need information about me inorder to provide a fee??? Due to this experience, I will be seeking dental services elsewhere for myself and my employees.

Positive experience: Upon leaving the coordinator who was supposed to go over my care schedule plan did not reply to the hygienist I unfortunately could wait any longer the hygienist sent her a message asking the coordinator to email or to me. I haven’t received it but overall the doctor and hygienist were very nice professional and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! In & out in no time! State of the art equipment and great customer service every time (loyal customer for almost 2 years now). I've had a deep cleaning, crown and cavities done here. Now that my long overdue problems are taken care of, I'm on a regular cleaning schedule. Very happy customer!

Fantastic experience: I started my procedure for an implant on 12/01/22 and hands down had a great experience. Loved the way Dr. G and Danielle communicated during my procedure to let me know how it was going and assuring me about the time frame. From injection to numb the area to finish I didn’t experience any pain which clearly made me comfortable to tell Dr G I will be scheduling the other implants needed moving forward. Second day in and went about my day with just a little soreness.

After my previous dentist (Marietta Dental Professionals) canceled my oral surgery—which had been scheduled six months in advance—just four days before the procedure due to "personal reasons," I was left in a panic with **no options or support** from them. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Kelly Vaughn, DDS. She was incredibly efficient while still being thorough in her care. The practice was able to fit me in for a cleaning and x-rays in a reasonable amount of time, which I really appreciated. Once the issues with my teeth were identified, Dr. Vaughn was able to take care of them the same day, which was a huge relief. Her professionalism and skill made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Additionally, the office staff were welcoming, kind, and efficient. They made me feel comfortable right from the start, offering me a thoughtful gift to welcome me, as well as water and other comfort items throughout the entire process. I'm grateful for the excellent care and attention to detail from both Dr. Vaughn and her wonderful team. Highly recommend Dr. Vaughn to anyone looking for a skilled and efficient dentist!

Negative experience: They botched my cosmetic dentistry work. Do not go here for any cosmetic work. They screwed up the initial impression’s, had to cut off the temps and make new temps, then the new bridge they made looks terrible. Less than 3 months in and the bridge is already loose and wiggly. My last bridge (installed by a now retired dentist) lasted me 20 years without one issue. Will never go back to 1st choice for anything. Very disappointed and out thousands of dollars.

Negative experience: I have not had a good experience overall with this dental group. I had some old fillings that need to be replaced or the teeth could have been crowned I was ok with either option. The only option both Dr Iyer and Gundrian gave me were implants or for me to see a dentist of their referral for a whole mouth restoration which I let them know I was not interested in. It has been very disapointing as I thought I had found a great dentist. I have since found a holistic dentist which I'm very happy with. Do your research and if your instincts tell you something isn't right find a new alternative.Read all the reviews the 5 star reviews for this office are primarily people having cleanings.

Negative experience: I thought I had found an awesome place for dental work! Having a molar removed and preparation for a replacement caused me quite a bit of anxiety. I’ve always been nervous going to a dentist; however, the staff helped calm my nerves and alleviate my concerns. Kudos to the staff, especially Danielle who was extremely kind and supportive. I paid additional money to have an anchor put in to replace the tooth that was pulled in case I wanted to later put in an implant. When I went back for my implant, they discovered that the base was cracked and the process would have to be done all over again. I left feeling very frustrated and will NOT return to the Woodstock dental office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gundian and team did a great job with my implant procedure. His ability to make necessary adjustments while calmly explaining his actions was quite impressive. The staff was so kind, understanding, and patient. They provided me with multiple options and took the time to explain everything in detail. The atmosphere is very welcoming, making it a great place for anyone with dental anxiety or ready to take the next step in their dental care. Even though it didn’t work out for me, I can tell this is an amazing place that truly cares about their patients. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth and Dr Iyer are passionate and detailed - they gave tips on products and instructions for oral hygiene. Fantastic experience: I had an emergency tooth removal. It was my first tooth issue in my life. I was made very comfortable and though my tooth issue turned out to be more intense than originally thought. I felt nothing. I didn't even feel the initial numbing injection. I was very impressed.

Fantastic experience: I drive an hour from my new home so that I could stay with Amy at First Choice Dental. The staff is so friendly and the building is nice and clean. The dentists are also super kind and take the time to talk through any info/concerns with you. Highly recommend Amy and the first choice dental team!

Negative experience: Let me start off by saying, the doctors and the tech, the service and the clinic is great. Once I’m checked in I am taken care of. HOWEVER, I’ve always had issues with billing and scheduler. It’s really pain in the behind to get things scheduled without it being moved or canceled.

Fantastic experience: I have been with 1st Choice for a while. They have been nothing but the best to me! I had an accident that chipped one of my main front teeth and came in, and they took care of me!! Rachel, Danielle, Paul, and Candy and the rest of the staff are by far the best!!! They fit me in to get an implant, I messed that up, smh, and they were able to get me a flipper tooth, BEFORE Thanksgiving!!! May God continue to bless this whole team!!! Fantastic experience: Coming from someone who despises the dentist, this was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. The facility was clean and beautiful. The staff was attentive and caring. The doctors and hygienist were very friendly and approachable. The hygienist was very gentle with the cleaning and I left in less pain than when I arrived - my gums were aching that day! They were able to resolve all my concerns and guide me through next steps. Everyone was so in tune during my visit, it made for a smooth overall process, even down to scheduling next steps and payment. They even wrote a birthday card for me from the office which was completely unexpected. Truly a wonderful experience!

Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment as a new patient with emergency tooth pain for today. I filled out all paper work and explained that my teeth are bad because of chronic medical condition and IV steroid treatments. Hygienist was kind and knew my medical history and was sympathic to my pain. She took x rays which were painful but necessary. Dr. Lyer came in and asked about evaluating entire mouth for implants. I would love implants but I have been told by other dentists and my physician that due to my condition it is not an option. I told him this and he looks in my mouth. I said I just need to worry about the painful tooth right now. He never looked at the tooth and instead looks at my bone structure and proceeds to tell me I can have implants despite what others have said. I told him that is not why I am there but for the pain. He says I see on the x ray which tooth it is so I want to get to know you over several appointments and we can figure the best way to do implants. I again told him that was not why I was there and I booked a painful emergency appointment so I did not understand why he couldn't help me. He said "it's late in the day what did you expect and I don't know you. I can't help until I get to know you". What?? I have never met a dentist who had to have a relationship with a patient to help them with major pain. He only cared about selling me inplants that my physician said no too than to help me with the pain I scheduled the appointment for. These people care about the big ticket items not their patients. When I said I just wanted to have the tooth pulled to get some relief he said oh I guess I can refer you to a oral surgeon even though it says on their website that they have surgeons. Huge waste of time and money. Only go to them if you plan on spending money on implants. They don't care about you otherwise.
