I was formally going to the one in White Rock and asked to be transferred to this facility. I'm very happy with the results.

Negative experience: wait time is EXTREMELY long. the staff lacks communication with patients, and organization with appointments. Dentist’s retention is very limited, new doctors show up and do not know patients information. THEY WILL PLAY IN YOUR MOUTH!!

Negative experience: Terrible Customer Service!! My appointment was at 11:30 am. I checked in early at 11 and was seen by the doctor at 11:25 and waited for the Hygienist to do my cleaning. No one checked up on me and I was just sitting in the room for more than an hour. It’s ridiculous!! What kind of company does not check up on their patients. Never coming here again.

Negative experience: Wonderful orthodontic experience but horrible dental experience. This dental office is horrible! I scheduled an appointment with them in person a month in advance but when I got there, they said I was not on the schedule. Front office dental staff are rude and are not accommodating to their mistakes. Usually, even with a scheduled appointment, it can take up to 4–5 hours of waiting. It will take about 2 hours to wait to get your name call back there and then another 1–3 hours before you see a hygienist to get cleaning started. The waiting room is usually with people who are frustrated or tired while waiting for hours to get their name called. However, the orthodontic side is wonderful with Dr Gupta and his staff. Orthodontic staff in the front office and in the back office are amazing! They are kind, friendly, understanding and professional. Dr Gupta is very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, professional and personable. Dr Gupta has a meticulous eye, and he takes his time to make sure your brace's journey will end with an amazing result. My wife and I are just stuck at this dental cleaning office because our orthodontist is here. But after completing our braces, we are definitely moving to a different dental cleaning office.

Negative experience: this is the worst jefferson dental in texas , they never answer the phone to schedule appointments, the ladies in the front are rude. please fix this nobody answers the PHONE and its hard to get a appointment cause nobody answers the phone.

Negative experience: Had the worst experience with the young lady at the front desk Saturday morning on 3/29 around 10:30am very unprofessional and rude did not take the time to find my insurance instead she said "you don't have any insurance" when it clearly comes out of my check every 2 weeks.. Customer service was terrible , attitude terrible! I ended up leaving and did not even want the appointment anymore! I have visited this location for about 4-5 years and I am usually happy with my experience but sadly this would be my last time visiting this Jefferson Dental on Gus Thomasson..

Fantastic experience: Got a cleaning at my last visit and April the hygienist is amazing. It's hard to get in the crevices with braces and she did just that. I'm very grateful for the tips she's given me on keeping health teeth and gums.

Negative experience: How do I leave less than a star? These people are the biggest scam artists and I will clearly be getting a lawyer involved. My daughter went for a dental cleaning. They have already charged me more than the estimate on a card and then attempted to bill me for additional money that was not authorized. I will be hiring a lawyer and suing them at this point. Do not go to this office EVER. I questioned them in their consultation and they admitted from the beginning overcharging me. These people need to be held accountable and Jefferson Dental clinics need to be shut down. I am in the medical profession and have never done this to patients. EVIL and RUN. Don’t even get me started on how they changed a follow up 4 times that was already covered in the original estimate) and then have attempted to charge me. Again will be consulting a lawyer. The EOBS dont even show close to the amount they are attempting to charge. Again they are EVIL, and SCAM people,

Negative experience: I have nothing positive to say about Jefferson Dental on Gus Thomasson Road. The staff is rude and most unexperienced to say the least. I will never use Jefferson Dental again. I can't even begin to describe the horrible experience I had during every visit to complete 2 root canals with crowns. My advise to anyone. Don't go to Jefferson Dental on Gus Thomasson!

Fantastic experience: The Manager Crystal and Hygenesist Paula were awesome. Crystal is is very easy to talk to and is very professional. She knows me by name every time I come in for appointments. Paula yhoroughly explained the teeth cleaning as well as the laser treatment.

Negative experience: Horrifying experience!! Filling came out from one of my molar made appointment for Monday at 8:45am. They took 16-18 photos and xray!! The dentist said she can save the molar and added more filling to it. Days came and went and pain was still there excruciating. I decided to go to a different location and the dentist there was baffled because clearly on the image she took you can the molar is cracked!!! Jefferson dental just acted like nothing and filled it in. 5 days of horrible pain!!!!!!

Negative experience: My wife and I have been with Jefferson Dental for well over two years. Every visit has been problematic. My wife had to have a bridge replaced after two weeks. I have done two root canals in this office. It took the doctor 30-45 minutes to do the first. When I returned for the second, they gave me a trainee doctor who took over two and half hours to complete the root canal. Just this morning, 10/22/2024, when I went for an annual exam, I was given another trainee who struggled throughout the process. Agreed, everyone has a learning curve to turn, but leaving a trainee all by herself to figure out stuff was not a good customer service.

Negative experience: Every visit, wait times were surprisingly long. I was sitting in the chair for 2 hours and still had to wait for my cleaning. Having another appointment, I had to leave without ever receiving service. I was never given an estimated time when they could begin the cleaning or even a check-in to see if I needed anything. Felt like a complete waste of my time. Not sure I’ll be back. What a disappointment.

Negative experience: Yall lied to me and tried to stick me with a bill after telling me my insurance was verified and I shouldn't worry. If I conducted business this way my boss would fire me. You need extensive retraining and moral evaluation. I know I'm not the only one Trying to survive out here but come on.

Negative experience: I regret to say that my experience with Jefferson Dental has been extremely disappointing. I recently underwent a root canal treatment at this clinic, and the procedure was poorly executed. Despite the assurances of a successful treatment, I have been left in with sensitive pain 2 MONTHS LATER!! I reported this issue to the clinic a month after the procedure, but my concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of addressing the problem promptly, I felt dismissed and unheard. Trusting the doctor was a mistake as I'm not able to eat properly even with my permanent crown installed. I expected professional and competent service, but unfortunately, this has not been my experience. I cannot recommend Jefferson on the inadequate care I received.

Negative experience: Jefferson dental is very unprofessional. They double dipped my elderly father cleaning fees. They received a payment from his Humana insurance and asking payments from my father. Can you believe that? They just assumed my elderly father would not do anything about it. No one has returned my call to tell me why this was done. I will be contacting the better business bureau office.

Negative experience: Jefferson Dental in Mesquite, on Gus Thomason, lacks professionalism. The staff does not know me from Adam. I was told to make an appointment ASAP. I guess the office didn’t know that I have an appointment today. I just had a deep cleaning last month. I was told that I should come in again, but no one knows what I am needing to have done. Just as I suspected. When I finally made it to the front desk… no one knew what the visit was for. Wasted trip … just like it was 3-4 weeks ago. I don’t think they know what’s going on… just wants you to come through so the office looks busy & get paid. . Called that office today, spoke with TC . She/he answered the phone properly. I politely asked him/her name again for my records. She/he said: I just told you my name. And if you need to speak with someone else… call back. I immediately hung up & called back. Elizabeth was a breath of fresh air. However, she didn’t have any answers either. At least she wasn’t rude & unprofessional like TC… get him/her off of the phones. Let him/her sweep or clean. He/ She could probably do that better she/he doesn’t have to interact with anyone. Currently seeking a real Dental Office…

Negative experience: I came in with a toothache and was told I needed 2 root canals, which I thought was weird because one of those teeth wasn’t even in pain. So I get scheduled in for a later date to get those done and they can’t numb the tooth that was actually in pain. They injected so much anesthesia that I was numb for the whole night and in pain for days! They didn’t even get that root canal done, instead they did it on the tooth that wasn’t in pain. I was scheduled to come in another day for the second root canal and again they can’t numb the tooth, and this goes on for months through out different appointments and doctors, yet they had already charged me for both root canals and crowns. Every one of these doctors ignored my fears and concerns and didn’t care about me at all. They still wanted to keep bringing me back in after those failed attempts until I asked for a refund and denied any more service from them.

Positive experience: I'm okay with their orthodontic services, but disappointed in their general dentistry. Arrived on time and had to wait 30 minutes after the apppintment was supposed to start just to have to keep waiting 30 minutes between every attendant for a quote summary. After I paid for the service I made the appointment for and was told they were going to be with me soon, no one checked on me until ANOTHER 30 minutes. After 2 hours of waiting, no actual cleaning done, they came to tell me I still had to keep waiting for another patient to wrap up. In the end, I couldn't keep wasting my entire afternoon and had to reschedule. If they were more transparent with how long a general visit would take and the turnaround time for actual services, I would have blocked off my entire afternoon. If you don't want to wait 2+ hours for general dentistry, I would not reccommend.

I got my braces and an expander done by Dr. Gupta. I'm grateful because he is skilled, meticulous, and checks on you to ensure comfortability. After my partner and I met Dr. Gupta, we immediately decided to get our orthodontics treatment done here and even switched our dental cleaning to this location!

Negative experience: Worst dental exam of my life. Upon walking in, prior to speaking to the dentist, I was told I would need X-rays despite having them four months ago (and offering to bring reports!). Current ADA guidelines stating XRays should be done every 6-18 months in HIGH RISK (which I am not) adults and every 2-3 years in healthy adults. I was laughed at when I brought up my concerns. After completing my imaging, the dentist walked into the room, did not introduce himself, and started speaking directly to the hygienist stating I had a chipped tooth and a filling just would fall out at that location. He then turned around and recommended this same filling to me. When I asked about what he had just said he told the hygienist to "have her speak to the manager" and left without answering questions. I have never felt so disrespected in a medical setting. I will be going elsewhere for my care. Update: I went for a second opinion at a local dentist. He stated much of the information I received at Jefferson was not correct and I do not in fact need a filling at this time. This further emphasizes the greed and poor medical care I experienced at Jefferson Dental.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in the door, I felt welcomed they got me right in and took care of all my needs!!! They explained the financing process very well and made sure all questions got answered… I also like the fact that they have multiple doctors for the different things you need done that way you aren’t just waiting on one doctor for hours it’s pretty cool!! Negative experience: Leaving a review after taking my kids since last yr to this past feburary was the last i have been to this location my kids have medicaid and i had so much issues because of this and the doctor that was that date on a saturday because only medicaid can be used on saturday ♀️ from my kids not having any problems with their teeth last yr in august to having more then 8 cavitis each this feb yeah it dosent add up that why i dont care if i have to drive back to the original location i have been taking my kids since they where lil when we lived in richardson i will take my kids back over there i was so disapointed i would of thought since its a jefferson clinic location near to my new home it would be the same experience but it wasnt

Positive experience: The orthodontic team is fantastic here. Jackie set us up with the financing for the orthantic work our 8 year old daughter needed. She was professional kind and efficient. The doctor Gupta and dental assistant Lorraine is amazing! My daughter was scared at her first dental appointment and they let me hold her hand and were very patient and sweet to her explaining everything they were doing to help her nerves. The reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because the front office girls are extremely unfriendly and rude. It almost makes me not want to go to this location because of them. But when we go back to see the dentist and get a checkup or see the orthodontist they are extremely friendly and professional. I came into my appointment for a checkup for my two children. I called three weeks earlier to schedule their 6 month follow up and the lady on the phone told me they had already been scheduled at their last appointment and she stated they were already on the schedule for July 26th at 8:30 am. I made note of that and we showed up on that date and time. When I arrived the girl with the curly hair at the front told me that we weren’t on the schedule and that it showed missed appointment. I was very upset of course and I told her that I had previously called to make an appointment and the lady told me that we were already scheduled. She didn’t apologize or anything she acted like she didn’t care at all and had attitude with me. I asked if she could see on the chart when it was last scheduled and what date and time it showed that we had missed the appointment. She said it wouldn’t show her, which was clearly a lie because the person I talked to on the phone distinctly told me that we scheduled their follow up appointment on their last visit, so it did show her that information. My daughter is now going frequently for her orthodontist appointments and I will be speaking to the office manager at our next visit. Today we came in for an emergency appointment for my daughter and the girl who gave me attitude doesn’t speak to me or want to reschedule any appointments with me for future she makes me stand there and wait then hands me off to someone else to schedule our follow up appointment. This kind of treatment to patients will deter them from wanting to come to this office if it continues. They have no sense of customer service, being rude is absolutely unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: My son and I came for a consultation for braces and from the time we came in we were greeted by the staff. After completing forms we were called within 10 minutes to come to the back for X-rays. The young lady Ashley who performed the x-rays was very gentle and kind. After that we went straight to the back and they got started immediately. Jacqueline assisted with financing and was very sweet and knowledgeable. Lorraine our dental assistant was very welcoming and made us feel like she had been knowing us for years lol. She addressed and provided clarity for any questions we had. Dr. Gupta, what an amazing kind spirit he had. He came right in with a smile on his face and provided good information about my sons treatment. This team is A1, keep up the great work.

Negative experience: I had been going here for about 2 years but ever since they changed the main dentist a couple months ago, things have been going downhill. I don’t recall his name, he might be Indian? but during a dental crown appointment, he wasn’t able to numb my tooth correctly (he kept spraying the anesthetic on my shirt and tongue which obviously made the whole ordeal even more unpleasant). When I kept telling him that I wasn’t properly number and could feel the pain from the drill, he opted to just do a root canal because my nerve was too sensitive (!?) I literally had to argue with him to tell him that I don’t need a root canal and that it seems extremely unnecessary and counterproductive to drill further into the tooth and remove the nerve that’s causing me extreme pain when you aren’t able to numb me in the first place. He finally receded and agreed to numb me one more time with a different anesthetic and what do you know, my tooth was numbed. I asked friends and family and even looked online if a root canal was ever done so nonchalantly and I couldn’t find anyone agreeing with that decision. It seemed like the dentist just wanted to make a quick buck and get the ordeal over with. I’m now paranoid that I may not even have needed the crown in the first place. I will never step foot into that dentistry office and I highly recommend anyone to stay away from that particular dentist.

Negative experience: I showed up 30 minutes early to my appointment. I was switched to several rooms then the dentist finally came in an hour later. He seem money hungry. I was only treated for a cleaning. He claimed I needed 2 root canals (1500/each) and 2 filings. The dentist kept insinuating that my tooth must be aching that’s why I need a root canal… my teeth do/did not hurt ). I felt lied, ignored, and taken advantage of that being I’m in my early 20s. I wanted to add my second dental coverage after seeing how expensive my visit became. They said the insurance office was closed and they wouldn’t be abled to give me an update about the coverage amount. They have been giving me the run around for 2 weeks saying “their office is about to close in 30 minutes” or to “call back” later when online says it’s about to close soon. They know they lied to get money out of their patients. I am very traumatized by my experience… dentist gave me a deep cleaning now my teeth is randomly sensitive and now I have to brush them when I get the feeling.

Then had the nerve to let the staff go for lunch while myself and my kids are just sitting in the exam rooms waiting to be seen!!! Each Visit per patient is 1 hour. We did get to do all dental treatment and cleanings for all 3 of you. We do have 1 Hygienist and 2 doctors so they have to go one at a time per patient. Unfortunately we can not see all 3 of you at the exact same time. I truly apologize it felt like you were here a very long time. But we really tried taking care of all 3 of your needs. Negative experience: I visited this office 4/10/23 due to a cracked tooth. The young lady who did my exam was very sweet but that was it! they are so pushy here for you to get braces and apply for a Care credit card before even checking what all my insurance would cover ("Just apply for the $10k credit line"). I stated several times i was not interested in braces and the lady kept asking me 'why not?' Even got a call later that day asking if i was interested in braces. Mint dentistry will extract my tooth and a deep cleaning fully covered by my insurance but here i was looking at almost $800 out of pocket! I suffer from extreme anxiety but i never thought a simple visit to the dentist would have me leaving the office in tears. 3 hours later and nothing done for me!

Negative experience: I give 1 star because I was charged over $800 for routine exam, cleaning, and pulling a tooth. And when I complained that I was feeling pain when she was pulling the tooth, she hit my tooth with the instrument in hand causing even more pain, and then painfully jabbed a syringe into the roof of my mouth far from the tooth. I will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: I love leaving these type of reviews when I have a great experience. The staff at this office is nothing short of amazing. This office make you feel like family. We my family of 4 arrived at this office we was met with friendly faces. Omg Jacheline was so nice she help us with the ortho financing she went over my contact several times to make sure I understood it and also help with payment options. Please see her if you need braces she will take good care of you. Jessica is also great she will make sure you get the treatment you need and will help come up with payment options that are affordable for you. April help my husband with his deep cleaning. Omg my husband had some problem areas she took her ti.e and make sure it was perfect and walked out with such a bright smile thank you so much April. Please take at this clinic. Those was just a few I encountered but everyone there is friendly and helpful even the doctors. Usually doctors are sticks in thr mud but there they will laugh with you and make you feel like family. Negative experience: Has to be the WORSE dental experience I have had in my ENTIRE life. Even with insurance they try to railroad you into paying hundreds of dollars for things that are fully covered by your insurance. After waiting for 2+ hours they will tell you about a bill for an insane amount that has nothing to do with your appointment. You have been warned.

Negative experience: Worse dental clinic I’ve been to. Don’t even bother to make an appointment with them that doesn’t mean you’ll be seen. They don’t tell you this but you’re supposed to ignore the calls and text messages you receive from the corporation and also the emails asking you to confirm your appointment . After they bombard you with so many texts reminding you that you have an appointment with them and if you can’t make it to please call an 1-800 number they provide. None of that matters… on the other hand, you have to answer a call and texts from a non registered dental office phone number and confirm you’re going to be there. It doesn’t matter if you confirmed it by email, or if you accepted the corporation’s texts messages… you have to answer to this unknown number or else you’re off the schedule. They don’t give a peanut butter sandwich about what you had to do to make it to that appointment. They don’t care about your kid missing classes so they can be there on time, just to be told without a care in the world, your appointment was canceled you need to reschedule. These clinics are very popular among the Spanish speaking people and the staff is used to open their big mouths and take advantage of my people. You don’t even deserve one star, but apparently that’s my lowest choice. But for the record YOU DONT DESERVE ANY STARS everybody knows not to go to these good for nothing places. I’m glad I spoke up that day, then they were showing their true colors. It was then, that I could see you’re not used to people speaking up to your faces, because like I said… everyone knows better, I was recommended a Dentist not too far from my house and wow, what a difference.

Negative experience: I made an appointment to have 2 teeth extracted. I reiterated that to the person at the front desk and to the person doing my x-rays. They did the entire mouth x-ray which I can only get once a year so I can't get it done anywhere else now. When I finally saw the doctor she said she didn't know if she'd be able to pull my teeth that day. I started raising a stink because that was the whole reason for me going in. She said she'd see what she could do. Awhile later the assistant came and deadened my gums a little for the Novocaine shots. About 1:30 (I'd been there since 10:30), the doctor gave me the shots. I waited awhile more and she started pulling my teeth. I didn't get out until 3:30 for 2 front teeth. This was The Most EXCRUCIATINGLY painful extraction or ANY dental work I've ever had done. She cut my gum upward which still hurts. This doctor is a butcher. I would warn anyone NOT to go there.

Negative experience: Got some veneers here a couple years ago. They have been falling out constantly since I got them. The deal was that if they fell out they would put them back in no cost. Well, another one fell out last night and I went in to get it glued back on (again). They charged me for the visit then proceeded to tell me they won’t re glue it without a cleaning first, ($$$) then AFTER the cleaning they’ll tell me if they can stick it back on. Then they say I might need to replace my other veneer as well, with the same process. I paid $800 a piece for my veneers at this location with the promise that they’ll put it back in if it comes out, and they basically tried to hit me with a several thousand dollar bill to do it first. DO NOT go here for veneers. I guess I’m stuck walking around with a missing front tooth until I can get these thieves their money

Positive experience: Friendly people, but it took me two hours to finally see the doctor. Then, when I did, she did not help me at all with my tooth. I chipped one badly that morning. They said I needed a root canal done on it ($2000) and I said I couldn't do that right now, could they just file down the sharp edge left that was cutting my tongue. They said they couldn't do that unless I was getting the root canal done. But, they did give me some brace wax after I asked for it. So, I wasted two hours and got nothing done to my teeth. (Oh yeah, they said for a "deep cleaning" of my teeth it would be $904!!! Wow!!! For a cleaning? That's like $450 an hour!!!! I'm in the wrong business!)

Negative experience: My appointment was October 17, 2022 At 9:30 I arrived early, they put me in a room around 9:15 The doctor was after before the doctor got to me. The doctor I was expecting to see wasn't there. The doctor that waiting on me wasn't friendly at all. She didn't even introduce herself. I was trying to remain calm and keep my blood pressure down. I was the for a follow up after having my feel cleaning a few months ago. Sadly to say she didn't num me and I was in pain, after I have enough I stopped her and told her that was enough I couldn't stand the pain any longer. Worst experience ever! I never want her service again

The staff was unprofessional and when I called their corporate to complain… no one ever called me back. I called a 2nd time and they stated they had no record of my previous call and I gave them all the informed again and still no call from corporate or anyone! Don’t bother with the fake standard reply on to this review because you don’t care about the patients and your staff discusses treatment plans in the middle of the office for everyone to hear! No privacy!!!! Does the word HIPPA ring a bell?? Please think twice about going to this place! RUN!!!!!!

Negative experience: I went to Gus Thomason office in the past and the Dentist and the staff were very professional and discreet when discussing my treatment plan. Fast Foward… today I went and it was nothing like before! Had issues speaking with someone on the phone before I even got there put on everlasting hold. I should have known that was a sign to go elsewhere however I had no idea that the entire office was different. I spoke with a lady named Valerie and she was also the person in charge of discussing the treatment plan which was done in poor taste. Instead of discussing my treatment plan in private it was done in the middle of the hallway while other patients were there and that was definitely a breach of my privacy ! When I asked why we could not go in the private room like I’ve done in the past her response was…That things were different now and continued to discuss my private health information in front of other patients in an open area listening ! I do not feel this establishment is doing what they need to do to protect the privacy of its patients and just have no remorse for the effect that it has on someone with having their teeth condition discussed in the wide open area of the clinic. I would not recommend anyone to this clinic as I’ve done in the past when they had a different staff and a more professional staff they are that cared about the privacy of its patients I will be looking into this regarding a HIPAA violation recommend going to this dental office.
