Fantastic experience: I had some unfortunate experience with dentists. I looked at my insurance, I wanted to have a female dentist for many reasons. There were 2 listed on my insurance. I chose Ruby Canyon and I have never been more happy or satisfied with dental services in my entire life. Dr. Chelse and her staff are incredible! if you have any dental needs, this is the place you want to go.They are very thoughtful, they are very thorough and like I said , I couldn't be happier. i highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful. Every staff member has been awesome from Lindsey to Quinn. (Sorry for any misspelling). Dr. Tj did a tooth extraction. While I was nervous. The staff made me feel great. Dr. Tj did an awesome job. Healing great. My husband and I both joined their dental plan. Well worth it. Very happy with these folks. Negative experience: EDIT: I take it back. This WAS a super place to go, but I'm officially done with Ruby Canyon. Something has changed and now you can't get a person on the phone, and they tell you to text or send a message through the website but that fails to send. I can't get through to billing, I paid extra for a warranty on a crown I got this year thinking this would save me being charged for work on it for several years but I'm being charged for adjustments on that crown, and apparently a preventative cleaning even though I'm insured. I've tried their phone menu to contact billing, insurance, and general query options and get nowhere. I am sick of talking to their AI on the phone, please put people back in customer service! Former review: Super team, great working with insurance company, friendly as can be, excellent service. Shelby was really excellent, made an overall unpleasant experience completely tolerable LOL! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I've been twice now, and both times were great. Staff is friendly and competent. Office is clean and both times my wait time was less than 5 minutes. I hadn't been to a dentist for a while, but my cleaning was very gentle. Not sore, and that's a first! Needed a crown, and that also went well. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I'm a 73 yo who has hated going to the dentist since childhood. Yet, I constantly have the most extraordinary dental experiences, from the moment I cross the threshold of the office to leaving after over a year's worth of visits and procedures. If I had more time, I would detail every minute of every visit. I don't have time to do that. However, thanks to the welcoming receptionists, Dr Derek, and all his assistants for an exceptionally pleasant, upbeat, professional, and relaxing dental experience!

Negative experience: I specifically chose this office because I needed urgent help with periodontal disease and wanted to get back on a 3-month cleaning schedule. The first appointment went fine, but ever since has been a mess. A few days before my second appointment, less than a week later, the office started texting me that “someone else is interested in your appointment, so you must confirm or we’ll give it away.” I had already scheduled that visit in person with the hygienist and made clear I desperately needed it, yet they treated my spot like it was negotiable. That’s not patient care—that’s games. I ended up cancelling, because I have lost trust in this company completely. The billing was no better. At my first visit, I was suddenly told the insurance they had confirmed as accepted was now “lapsed” and they couldn’t bill it. There was even a handwritten note about this issue that followed me through the entire process that day—never corrected, never explained. I only went through with treatment because I was in extreme pain and couldn’t wait, but the handling of it was unprofessional and sloppy. It feels like this office does not value patients, even ones who will spend thousands annually on periodontal care and remain consistent, long-term clients. I’m not sure what a patient has to do to secure an appointment and have it honored, but this seems to be an industry-wide problem at this point. Bottom line: I should not have to fight to keep an appointment I scheduled or be treated like my care is optional. I also shouldn’t have to wonder whether the office can actually bill the insurance they say they accept. I’m still searching for a dentist in town who can simply schedule, honor the appointment, and provide consistent care. It should not be this hard to get a cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Through the people at the front desk to the assistants in the back, everyone In the office space made my experience much more easy and reassuring. Wether I'm doing simple cleaning or having a full root canal the dentists and their assistants are very comfortable talking to me about any questions or concerns and make me feel safer and more relaxed during stressful visits. The front office workers are amazing at helping me through any insurance questions or issues I may have as well and are also all very helpful!

Negative experience: Worst place ever for customer service! My husband and I were new patients. I waited 6 weeks for an initial appointment and they called me a couple days before and said “an emergency came up and couldn’t get me in”. They said they couldn’t get me in for another 3 weeks!!! I said forget it, I’ll go to another dentist. My husband kept his appointment. He said the girls at the counter just talked and didn’t have any idea what was going on. He got his cleaning they said he needs to fillings and they would call him next day with a price. We never heard. I called a week later and asked again and he said nothing was ever put in. Justin told me he would walk this back to the lady who handled insurance. I went ahead and booked my husband an appointment for 4 pm that Thursday and he told me someone will call him before his appointment to let him know how much. Never heard back. I again, called the day before and talked to Allen. He said the price was in his file for the fillings, but nothing was ever scheduled!!!!!!! I told him you all are the most unorganized group I’ve ever seen. Not sure how there are so many great reviews- they must tell their customers to write great reviews for a prize or money off or something. They will never get our business, and I will make sure everyone I come in contact with, knows as well.

Fantastic experience: I was in pain this morning and didn’t have a dentist in Grand Junction. Several offices I found were closed on Fridays, but this one was open and got me in right away. They even got my insurance to cover the expense out of network. They were so friendly and professional. If I wasn’t moving out of state I would definitely be returning for regular care.

Fantastic experience: I had gum bleeding and called Ruby Canyon to ask if chewing asprin (prescribed after a surgery) could be the cause, or if it might be contributing to this problem. The staff member who promptly called me back wasn’t sure, but felt it would be best to come in for a quick visit. I got into the office on the same day, and had an excellent exam by Dr Dean who gave me great advice on how to mitigate this issue. The rapid response to my minor issue was impressive, and I felt I received excellent care when I was seen. Many thanks to the people at Ruby Canyon and especially to Dr Dean in particular.

Negative experience: I've been in 3 times. Left once because no one came in, waited an extraordinary long time the second time. And the third time? When they did the work? (Just fillings) I needed to see another dentist to have the work corrected.

Fantastic experience: The staff and the dentists here are extremely helpful and talented. They have been very helpful in recommending electric toothbrushes, whitening products and floss. They suggested a night guard which has helped with grinding my teeth at night. Would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Fantastic experience: Paige, the hygenist did an excellent job. She was very gentle, and did a meticulous job of cleaning my teeth. She explained every step and was mindful of how it was affecting me. Dr Chelsea also did an excellent job, very professional, knowledgable, and provided common sense options and advice regarding treatments and insurance practices. Negative experience: **BEWARE!** A few years ago, I was assured in person by the billing department that my insurance would cover a specific cleaning. After receiving this confirmation, I scheduled the appointment. However, after the appointment, I was shocked to receive a bill of over $500 because my insurance did not cover the service. When I confronted the same billing representative who had assured me it would be covered, she denied ever saying that she had contacted my insurance. I was taken aback and ultimately had no choice but to pay the bill. I considered it a bad business practice and decided not to return. My husband continued to be a patient there, as he has severe sleep apnea and they are the only office in town that provides a device called Somnomed. After many phone calls and messages about replacing the device, he received written confirmation that the warranty would cover the replacement at no cost, provided he returned the old device. He originally paid around $2,000 for the device, but now the office is asking for $1,600 for the replacement. They refuse to honor the written agreement stating that the replacement would be free. It’s important to note that Ruby Canyon is merely the middleman for the device, as all they did was mail the old device back and open the box containing the new one. This feels like a blatant money grab. Overall, the dentist and his hygienists are pleasant, and I have no complaints about them. However, the woman who manages the billing department is awful. I’m not sure if recording all interactions with her would hold her accountable for the prices she quotes or if, even with such evidence, she would take responsibility. It's disheartening to find it difficult to trust someone’s word, even when there’s documentation.

Fantastic experience: Patient for over a decade! Visited recently to have my implants worked on. I expected an uncomfortable appointment, but Dr. Derek and his team did the whole procedure effortlessly. Fantastic experience: My experience was wonderful. Dr. Adam's was great. He had such a calming voice and Alex was great. Very bubbly and made me feel at ease right away. The fuzzy blankets were great. My appointment was sedated and that went well also. My teeth feel great and all the work that was done. Also the deep cleaning is well worth it.
