Fantastic experience: If only I could share a video of what happened today!! The one and only Cody Sloan was able to achieve a full dental cleaning with my daughter, who happens to have Down Syndrome and has intense sensory challenges. The minute Cody saw us, she encouraged and affirmed the success we were going to have and she nailed it! As her Mama, I honestly didn't think we'd ever get this particular milestone in the books and it's all because of a super, duper, special person and great hygienist who we love dearly for taking us on as a patient of hers!!! Cody, you are one in a trillion and I am indebted and grateful to you to infinity!!! We ❤️ you!! RG and S

Fantastic experience: Our first visit (consult) was pleasant & productive. The staff & Dr. Lathrop were knowledgeable, courteous, attentive & helpful. They were patient & intent in listening to the dental history of my Intellectually Developmentally Delayed adult daughter. I feel secure & look forward to our next visit when the treatment will take place. On 12/3/25, my daughter Lindsay was seen by Dr. Lathrop & Dr. Ho, accompanied by Olivia & Monica. Lindsay’s experience was first-class. Her hesitation & anxiety to even sit in the dental chair was dealt with patience & perfect suggestion. Dr. Ho was efficient & patient & Dr. Lathrop joined me in the waiting area to explain procedures & how she was doing. I have nothing but acclaim & appreciation for Lathrop Dental Center. The staff is superb & the offices are calm, organized & aesthetically pleasing. Finding Lathrop is an answered prayer.

Negative experience: Back in October 2024, I took my son to be seen for a problem tooth. Great experience with Dr. Lathrop, an assured me they could help pull the tooth, do a cleaning all under anesthesia in office as they service a lot of patients with special needs. Fast forward to this year I decided to go ahead I was given a quote of almost $2,500. The day before the anesthesiologist TEXT me asking information on height and weight as well as any previous experiences. The day comes and the anesthesiologist wants to put the needle in his hand mind you I have never had that happen and told my son it would be as if he was getting blood drawn as he has had done before and did well. My son starts to panic, next thing I know he stabs my son in the arm with the formula to knock him out. I was then told he should have already been asleep but he had to do it again. The 2 girls in the room were wonderful the anesthesiologist had horrible bed side manners and acted as if he had never dealt with an autistic child. Once done they ended up doing a few more seals on my sons teeth which I knew would cost more. We waited forever for my son to actually be able to wake up all while the anesthesiologist was on his phone. I was told it would be a few hours and my son would be up and awake. That was far from the case, it took over 24hrs for him to be able to even be with it to walk or anything. Then I get the bill saying the anesthesiologist is charging me extra because he overdosed my child and it took longer for him to wake up. I called to speak to Dr. Lathrop and never got a phone call back! **The anesthesiologist Micheal Ho literally just commented on here his experience with the dentist. They work with eachother please be very mindful. *to add I am being told my child has cavities on all sealed teeth and some are not sealed done by the dentist but he had no cavities from 2021 to 2025 before sealants were put on.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lathrop and the entire staff are amazing!!! The girls up front couldn’t be more helpful in making my experience as great as possible! Dr. Lathrop does such an incredible job explaining everything in detail and making sure I was comfortable and no pain at all. His assistant was off the charts amazing and they barely have to speak because she knows what he needs before he does!! It was an all out great experience and I don’t see myself ever going anywhere else!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Lathrop and his all star team are amazing!! He’s rebuilding my smile to assist with relief from trigeminal neuralgia, to make me smile showing my teeth, to just bring joy to my world with even less pain!!! He is so caring, thoughtful and kind as well as professional and an expert in this field. I’ll never go to another dentist. His staff are all wonderful and follow in his footsteps in caring and kindness as well as expertise. Color me grateful!!

Negative experience: I paid a lot for poor quality dentures, but what annoyed me was how friendly they were to me right up till they told me sorry can’t help you here’s a referral to someone you can. It was a total brush off. And just like the mayor of New York they lack integrity.

Fantastic experience: The folks at Lathrop dental are phenomenal! I honestly would rate them more than 5 stars. Called with a broken crown, they fit me in quickly and took great care of me. Dr. Youngs was very thorough, explaining the reason for the issue and how we would repair my tooth. I’d thank by name all the office staff and dental assistants but don’t want to leave anyone out - they are the best I’ve experienced at any dental office. We’ve been patients there since we moved to Fulshear and will not go anywhere else. HIGHLY recommended!

Fantastic experience: My family of 5 has been going to Lathrop Dental for over a decade. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. The entire staff is great. We’ve never once had any issues at all. They are great with kids, even toddlers. On of my boys had to have a tooth pulled and it was seamless. He didn’t feel a thing. Dr. Lathrop is a great dentist and never pushes unnecessary treatment which I love. He is so down to earth. I’ve always been under the impression that Lathrop is not covered by Delta dental insurance but they submit for us and their work is covered. Love them!!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm and welcoming. The front desk staff was so patient with me, even after I had to call several times for directions since I’m a little directionally challenged. The entire team was amazing, including the dentist, and they made my first visit truly memorable. The atmosphere was caring, friendly, and understanding, and I left feeling completely at ease and grateful to have found such a wonderful place.

Fantastic experience: Since I moved to the Houston area in 2010 I have seen about 5 different dentists. I have to say my search is over! The staff is excellent and Dr. Lathrop is thorough and caring! If you are in search of a dentist, your search is over! Fast forward to today 10/01/2025 I went into the office to get some dental work done and couldn’t be happier with the work and the service they provide! Dr. Youngs and Jackie were great! They were quick fixing my issue and did it professionally and made me laugh during the process. Great experience every time!

Fantastic experience: Update: Had another cleaning. My hygienist Michele was fantastic. Her skills and chairside manners are exceptional. Dr. Youngs is a very skilled knowledgeable dentist. Assistants are awesome. Front office are awesome. This office is great! This is a fantastic dental practice. The doctors, and all staff, are professional, personable, and highly skilled. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: If I could give this dentist office more stars, I absolutely would! The service is exceptional—punctual, inviting, and truly the best dental experience I've ever had. I went in for a filling and, on a whim, decided to have my wisdom tooth extracted at the same time. It might sound crazy, but Dr. Lathrop and the dental assistant (whose name I regretfully can’t recall) were incredibly friendly and warm, guiding me through every step of the process. To my surprise, I felt absolutely nothing during the extraction, which was fantastic! It almost feels like people exaggerate the discomfort of wisdom tooth extractions, but Dr. Lathrop must have a special touch. I can confidently say this is the best dental practice I’ve ever visited. Thank you, Dr. Lathrop, Nicole, Kari, Miranda, Shelby, Devon, and the entire team. You all are truly amazing!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the same dentist, every six months for over 20 years, since moving from Louisiana to Texas. But due to the pandemic, I hadn’t been in two years, and I had an issue that needed attention. It was simply too difficult to get an appointment with my former dentist now, as she has cut her office hours to only one day per week. So, I researched other dental groups and Lathrop Dental had consistently high reviews. Had my 1st appointment today and they did not disappoint! Abby is a fantastic hygienist and Dr. Andrew Lequang, my dentist today, was very personable. Fantastic experience using the latest technology. This 1st appt has totally exceeded my expectations and they are so close to me on 1463. Every one there was exceptionally friendly. Great first experience.

Fantastic experience: I recently received minor dental treatment and was highly satisfied with the service provided. The hygienist and dentist were exceptionally efficient and professional, maintaining clear communication throughout the procedure regarding progress and expectations. Furthermore, I appreciated the transparent and reasonable pricing, which was presented upfront.

Negative experience: I had two areas of my mouth that were uneven. I knew one was high, but the other (a poorly done crown) I could not tell if it was high or low. The data Lanthrop showed proved that it was low but he focused on the opposite side of my mouth and lowered the height I had left, resulting in both sides now being low. His mantra was that I needed braces and no one goes and redoes all of their crowns. I only had one crown in question. It would have been easy to replace the one crown. Now I have to address the side he lowered, as well, so that I can regain height and support. If not, my dentist now says her recommendation is to shave my teeth. All of the weight of my mouth is now resting on the the front (mainly) and middle of my mouth. I do not wish to also lower all of these teeth. I no longer have support from either of my back molars. Fantastic experience: Lathrop dental is the best! Our whole family goes there and have always been pleased. Dr Lathrop did my bridge and crowns a couple of years ago and they are so beautiful I get compliments on my teeth all the time.

Fantastic experience: Our entire family has been going here for over 10 years, both for routine and cosmetic work. I assumed our child should go to a pediatric dentist but the care she really deserves was always here with Dr. Lathrop and team. There is simply is not a better group of people in this area who genuinely care enough to treat everyone like the unique individuals that they are.

Negative experience: We used to be regular client for Lathrop for kids teeth cleaning. However, recently my daughter went for a teeth filing for a broken teeth. I repeatedly asked for a out of pocket total cost including insurance and they came up with $220+.So we thought it was a reasonable and affordable and we agreed for it. After the service, there becomes a big surprise they asked for another $180+ and the reason they mentioned was the initial cost was only an "estimate". By definition 'estimate' have to be reasonable closer say 10-15% within the final cost, but cannot be 80-100%.I had multiple phone calls to clarify, but the front office ladies hide behind the so called " it was mentioned in the invoice as estimate". There are many professional dentist in the zip code who are very professional and offer much better cost to value ratio. Having a clean office and being nice is just part of every business and a basic necessity and that alone should not be factor to determine efficacy of the service. The episode made me to think whether it was intentionally played out to make sure to take the service first by quoting low and hook us and then throw the surprise, because we had a much much better offer from multiple dentists in the area with 5 Star reviews or the front office ladies are simply not experienced to provide a reasonable closer quote for us to make a right financial decision that will pinch into your monthly budget. So before taking service verify 5-10 times what will be your total out of pocket cost where ever you go. They lost our trust and therefore my 2 kids will not be going there. Positive experience: I realize we were about 10 mins late for our appt, however, I didn’t need to be reminded of by my hygienist. Then proceeded to rush thru my cleaning. I did ask if we needed to reschedule. You really shouldn’t rush thru cleaning teeth with a sharp tool. It wasn’t too bad but when I mentioned pain it wasn’t received too well. Overall, they do great with my son.

He hadn't been to the dentist in so long because we could NEVER find a place that will take good care of him. Today my mom being a worried mother called me super happy saying that the dentist Dr Colin Lathrop and anesthesiologist Dr Michael Ho treated my brother with so much care and patience. That made me so happy. Thank you so much Dr Colin and Dr Ho for taking care of my brother and making my mom happy, she knows now that moving forward my brother will be in good hands.

Fantastic experience: It was a pleasure to come to this dentist's office. The staff were beyond helpful and nice. I never felt like they were trying to do unnecessary work. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for an office that is straight to the point, explains everything thoroughly and doesn't try to upsell you.

Fantastic experience: What else is there to say when one experiences consistent service at a level that surpasses every single expectation? I associate Lathrop Dental Center with outstanding service. From scheduling an appointment, to walking into the reception area where you are greeted with a big, warm and friendly smile and a welcoming greeting. To the boiler room where all the drills are noisily making their presence heard, the total experience is something that I believe is very hard to find in a world of consumerism. It would be even greater if these were not my dentists, because who welcomes a visit to their dentist? Well, trust me, knowing you are in fantastic hands makes the trip to Lathrop Dental Center way more tolerable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff here, and very nice and comfortable accommodation. The Doctor is extremely nice and very helpful on needed procedures and where to get them done. The staff from the front desk to the nurses and assistants are fabulous and there isn’t a frown in the place, just pretty white smiling teeth.

They spend the extra time and resources to insure that I am comfortable so that I can get the work done that I need. I can’t stress enough how awesome they are!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Great experience with filing a cavity. Quick and painless. Friendly staff. The dentist took the time to explain what he was doing, made sure to ask how I was doing through the procedure. The assistant put a good movie on so I can relax. I highly recommend them.

She creates such a positive experience that they are actually excited about getting their teeth cleaned. This practice is a blessing, and I’m grateful they are so close. Everyone is kind, happy, willing and (and at least appear) unbothered to interact with and encourage kids. We’ll be patients as long as they’re around. Fantastic experience: They were able to quickly schedule me after losing a molar crown on which a root canal was performed 20 years previously. This required a tooth extraction and bone graft that was performed by Dr Youngs and assisted by Carey. They were meticulous in their treatment and worked very efficiently and effectively during a tedious procedure, ensuring my comfort and confidence throughout the process. Almost made me want to have another extraction!! They were top notch in every regard. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Lathrop for over 5 years. His office staff is consistently professional and kind. I have TMJ pain and the hygienists are always patient and help to make me comfortable during cleanings. Since starting to see Dr Lathrop, we have moved from the area. I am so happy with his office that I make the one hour drive to continue to see him and his hygienists for my dental health.
