Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend Dr. Lakeisha Thomas and her staff. We mistakenly arrived on the wrong date, but they instantly offered to see my daughter today because of a cancellation, or we could come back tomorrow. We signed in and were seen immediately.

Fantastic experience: We had a great first visit today. The dental hygienist and doctor were awesome, they had great tips for how to handle my wild toddler at tooth brushing and flossing time at home, and they were understanding and compassionately of him struggling on his first visit. I also loved loved loved that they have great toys for kid to play with (as opposed to just a screen and no toys) in the waiting room and inside while waiting for the dentist. He immediately engaged with the toys and stopped crying, which was quite welcomed. We will go again and I highly recommend.

Negative experience: took time off work to pick up my three children from school and called ahead to let the office know I was running late. They told me, “We’ll get done what we can,” so I continued on my way. When I arrived with my kids, we were turned away because the grace period was only 10 minutes, and they said we’d have to wait two hours to be seen. This was very disappointing and a waste of our time. No one apologized or showed any concern. I would not recommend this place, as families deserve to be treated with respect and understanding.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Schrieber and all of the ladies in this clinic. Everyone is so incredibly kind And . We drive two hours from the Dothan area to see the dentist. They are also in network with TRICARE/United concordia. They truly work with you for what is best for your Child’s individual needs.

Fantastic experience: Today was my son’s first dentist appointment ever! Our appointment was at 10:10 and we arrived at 10:00am. We signed in and played a little. Maybe 10/15 minutes later my son name was called ! WOW!! That was fast. His dental hygienist I think her name was Sarah, did an excellent job with him. I can tell she enjoys or has been doing this for a long time. She even walked him over to the play area and stayed with him while we waited on the doctor after the cleaning . The office was nice , clean, and sanitary. The dentist Julia Schreiber was very sweet and patient when my son became a little antsy. And might I add she was BEAUTIFUL HAD THE MOST PERFECT TEETH . That shows me she cares about what she does especially when you take care of your own teeth. They also have portal so you can filll out new patient paperwork before your appointment, which helps speed things up. My son is only 2 so I’m looking forward to this committed relationship. Thank you Dentistry for Children! for a wonderful FIRST EXPERIENCE!

Fantastic experience: I can’t express enough gratitude to Dentistry for Children and Dr. Thomas for the incredible care they provided when my daughter had a dental emergency. She had an accident at summer camp and chipped both of her front permanent teeth. As a parent, seeing her mouth like that sent me into an emotional frenzy. I called the office, and even though they were closing in an hour, they told me to come in immediately. The moment we arrived, they took my daughter straight to the back to begin evaluating her injuries. The front staff was so kind and attentive—they saw how upset I was and kept checking on me, even bringing me water to help calm me down. Although they couldn’t fully treat her right away due to an exposed nerve, they did everything possible to make her comfortable. They scheduled an appointment with an endodontist right away and assured me they would keep calling to try to get her in even sooner. In the meantime, they repaired her teeth enough to get her through the weekend—and my daughter said she felt no pain at all. We still have follow-ups ahead, but I’m beyond thankful for how compassionate, professional, and responsive the entire team was. Dr. Thomas and the staff at Dentistry for Children treated us like family in one of the scariest moments I’ve had as a parent. I will never forget their kindness.

Fantastic experience: Parker is my difficult child and needed fillings today. Once I my truck, she said mommy they were so nice and kept asking was I okay. They are soooo sweet... well they are always sweet. She even said she thinks her 1 year old cousin should move here JUST TO GO TO THE SAME DENTIST lol.... not sure that's a good enough reason for her parents lol

Fantastic experience: The best! The best! A thorough review of our child’s x-rays was explained to my husband and myself by the dentist, during our first visit. We are so glad to have the explanation of what our child’s treatment plan was. We were treated with kindness by all staff. We know how the dentist office can sometimes be a scary place for a child, but our child felt comfortable during our visit, beginning to end. We are glad that our child’s teeth will be in good hands going forward.

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience! Dr. Schreiber and Kim were great with my 2 week old during her frenectomy, and they made the whole process so easy for me and her! The procedure was seamless and successful, and I’m so thankful!! I also recently brought my toddlers in for a regular cleaning. Jasmine and Anna did so well with them and were so patient! Everyone there was really kind and engaging with my kids. My toddlers did not want to leave afterwards and have asked when they can go back!

Fantastic experience: We have been away from dental care for several years, nervously we scheduled new patient appointments with Dentistry for Children - knowing we were going to be facing some undesired and preventable findings. They were understanding, compassionate, kind, and nonjudgmental. One assistant, I regret not getting her name, even provided a comforting hug when the news was overwhelming. We have some work to do to improve their dental health, but the staff developed a treatment plan with phases and broke down the cost after insurance, explained everything step by step, and we left with a clear understanding of what is needed with a plan in place. They have definitely earned our trust, our next appointments are scheduled. We saw so many children come in and out during our long day in the office, even some with advanced and higher needs - everyone was treated so well, so kindly, and the children and parents left with a smile! Highly recommend this dentist!

Fantastic experience: My two year old grandson visited Dentistry For Children “Montgomery” the other day and it was a wonderful appointment. He cried a bit but that is to be expected he is two, but the staff was incredibly friendly, very patient with his few outbursts. Dr. Thomas was able to conduct the exam, she clearly explained everything. I'm very happy with the results of his treatment. Kartejia grabbed the X-ray for his first dental visit with them, and Anna was able to complete his cleaning. The staff was so professional ensuring they didn’t neglect his comfort or care, while safely accomplishing their dental responsibilities. I felt very comfortable during the appointment and I'm very happy with the results of his treatment and the treatment plan provided by Dr. Thomas. For those parents or caregivers looking for a dentist, look no further, Dentistry For Children “Montgomery” has everything you’re looking for. Whether you get Dr. Thomas or Dr.Schrieber , you are in the best of care with both. I feel confident in their abilities and I am sure you will too, so I recommend you don’t put it off.

Negative experience: I trusted them with my son's care and they let me down. They gave me the options to repair his front tooth and asked Dr Thomas "what would you do if it were your child?". She told me drill, remove the root, and fill. Sure, seems legit. Well it didn't stay more than 3 days the first time, which entailed strapping him head to toe to a board and putting gas on him, which did nothing, and go to work with him fighting and screaming the whole time. Again, I'm trusting the professionals here, so I take him back with the cap off less than a week later for repair. It's still inside the tooth but the front is gone, quick fix right? Nope, took longer than drilling and removing root and filling and capping the first time, all whilst strapped and screaming again. And both times after they were done they had to blow dry him because he was soaked with sweat from fighting, and they put "behavior control" as a billing item....so strapping him to a board? Because the gas that did nothing was listed seperately. Also reiterating that I'm trusting the professional here, there was never a mention of a hospital or option for sedation, only this option for repair or let it sit and hope it's okay and if not then this option of strapping him down is again the only option after that. Well of course it comes off again, this time a hole is in his tooth now. I call the emergency line since it's Friday, leave a message and awaiting a call...which I recieve mid day monday...so I wind up taking him to another dentist the next day. This dentist days the tooth should have never been touched, and that's what's happening now, except now he has a big hole in his front tooth I have to keep cleaned out thanks to Dr Thomas' advice as to what she would do to her child. So I'm not sure I'd trust her judgment on anything. And the kicker is, I've since been told that he should have had the procedure done under sedation. Now he's scared for me to even hold him for a haircut, which he did excellent with before, because hes scared of being held down after those horrific experiences at DFC. So thanks for the traumatization of my child and ruining his front tooth Dr Thomas, I hope you treat your kids better than you did mine, if you have any. And to anyone reading, stay away from Dentistry for children, they're great til it's important.

Dr Schreiber & her staff reached out to us & offered to come in office on a Saturday to take care of my son due to the discomfort from his injury. My daughter was nervous and everyone there made her feel so comfortable. Stasia made sure to show her every instrument prior to using, which really helped ease her anxiety. Plus, she is just awesome! Dr. Thomas is personable and will go the extra mile for you and your children. & Daria was there the whole time to make sure my daughter’s experience was the best. Everyone there is just a ray of sunshine :) 11/10, would recommend!

Fantastic experience: We made the switch to Dentistry for Children, and we could not be happier! They quickly scheduled us a new patient appointment, and they truly go above and beyond. Dr. Thomas and the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and very thorough during the appointment with not just me, but my daughter as well. We were able to get a treatment plan set up the same day for future appointments. You can tell that the staff cares about the short-term and long-term plans of your child’s dental needs with the custom treatment plan. We were even able to get a referral for an orthodontist and go the same day to further insure they were doing the treatment for my child’s long-term dental goals. I cannot recommend them enough!
