Hudec Dental started as one neighborhood dental office in the City of Cleveland. We have taken that same community-friendly spirit to each of our 20 present-day locations. Our business is focused on bringing the most modern dental care in established neighborhoods. We are surprisingly different because we seek to have a conversation with patients. Our practice is not just about telling patients what to do, but also learning what they need to maintain proper oral health. We have a large, diverse team of dental professionals, therefore all patients will feel at ease and build relationships. Our quality dental work makes people smile. Fantastic experience: My first time. Everyone was very friendly. Clean offices. Ashley cleaned my teeth. Very nice. Did a great job. Dr. Ed was very nice. He kept complementing me. I was taking great care of my teeth. See you all in 6 months. Thank you.
Negative experience: Completely unprofessional they did an error on billing they waited til I made it to my appt without calling me before and expecting I’ll pay $800. Will call higher ups to report this location management is awful!!!

Fantastic experience: I really like Hudec Dental. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. My last visit was with Daira and Dr. Kim. Daira went above and beyond as she fitted my permanent crowns. She so pleasant and made sure the fit was perfect. She really makes the visit pleasant. Dr Kim is also friendly and professional. Negative experience: After getting four appointment reminders the week prior to my appointment. Having to request vacation time to make it to my appointment. I arrived only to be told they will have to reschedule. I can't keep taking days off because they don't have their act together. What a joke.

Negative experience: Hudec dental on Puritas Ave in Cleveland. I went there for teeth I was concerned about that I wanted crowns for. My insurance would cover it. INSTEAD the dentist said NO, she wanted to put crowns on teeth I wasn't having problems with. It started off horribly. They went ahead and did an X-ray telling me it was covered, they reassued me by telling me they just contacted my insurance. When I came back the next day they said I already had that X-ray, that my insurance only covers one every three years. But that was my previous insurance! They still said I owed, even though I was covered. So they LIED to me when they said they contacted my insurance beforehand. They said that I had to pay up in order for the dentist to finish the job. Because of the discrepancy and my concerns about it, they got an attitude towards me. The one tooth after fitting the crown, became sensitive when drinking water, my only beverage, and while brushing. The dentist said use sensodyne. This tooth was great before this. And the dentist couldn't get the partial to fit correctly after two visits! Because I was complaining and rightfully so, my next follow up a few fays later, they left me sitting in the waiting room, my appointment was at 8 and I finally saw the dentist over two hours later and I watched as patients came and went. When I was finally called back to the examining room they said they were having computer problems. So I called my insurance to let them know the problems I was having and they contacted the dentist and the dentist refused to see me anymore while in the middle of trying to correct themselves. Now the partial is useless, it's a choking hazard because it comes loose while eating. It's a small partial so it could easily get stuck in my throat. They also said that my insurance would only cover half of a deep cleaning, so they tried to get me to pay the other half. This is not a truth. My insurance covered the full cleaning but it had to be done in two appointments. They obviously don't work with the patient because of their lack of concern for them. Also the office manager became nosey during all this asking if my name was my married name. After reading about Medicaid patients on these reviews, they should request a billing statement from this place to be on the safe side. 99% of the dentists in the area will accept Medicaid. FYI, you do not have to give them your social security number that is requested on the patient information sheet. That sheet lays around in the office for any of the staff to see. There's no patient confidentiality there. It's not required by law to provide your ss#. If they refuse to see you for this, there are dozens of dentists in a five mile radius that will help you without giving your social security number out. Someone other than Dr. Glowski will see you. I've gone there for many appointments over the years and never saw him. Not even walking around the very small office.
Fantastic experience: Ashley, (ladies in the finance office) and Dr Glowski are THE GOATS . They’ve been cleaning our teeth for about 11 years and I won’t go anywhere else. I love the staff they have now and it’s so very friendly there.

Positive experience: I used to love this location but lately it’s been going downhill. I even drive half an hour or more sometimes to go here but no longer. Firstly they use a text system for confirmation but don’t go by the confirmation if you reply to that text system but a phone call which if you don’t answer they automatically cancel your appointment no notice given. When i saw I missed their call I called back several times just for it to go straight to an out of service message. I took time time off work, spent gas coming here just for them to tell me they canceled my appointment and that she won’t see anyone else. Like how unprofessional is it to not notify someone their appointment had been canceled nor have the phone line to call them back operable? It’s ridiculous. I’m definitely changing locations and if the service is the same at one of their other locations I’m changing dental company.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Puritas office for a new filling and repairs to an older filling. The whole experience was a positive one. Dr. Kim is wonderful and so is the entire staff.

Negative experience: So let's begin with the fact that my appointment was originally scheduled for January and was rescheduled twice by the clinic before my visit on July 1st. Both times I was told it was because of lack of staffing. I arrived at 355 PM for my scheduled 4:20 appointment. I was greeted with friendly staff and took a seat until I was called. At approximately 4:30PM I was taken to the back for X-rays and then placed in a second waiting area until the dental hygienist was ready for me. I waited almost an additional 10 minutes. I was placed in a room for teeth cleaning at about 4:45 PM. Mid way through my cleaning, my dental hygienist informed me that the dentist who was scheduled to see me for my visit had left for the evening. "She leaves at 5 on the dot!" How is it that I arrived over 20 minutes early and I still don't get seen? I used to rave about this clinic! Sadly, I think this was my last visit. It's definitely time to find a new dental provider. I don't like my time being wasted! Total lack of professionalism. O/10... Will no longer recommend!

Fantastic experience: Always a positive experience. Great atmosphere. I moved and will still take the 30 min drive just to see Dr. G. He has the best attitude and really shows that he cares. It's a clean friendly environment.

Negative experience: The Puritas office is terrible. My dentures took over a month to get after paying for "rush" service. I got them Friday at 11 and I cannot eat due to the fact that my molars do not touch. I called back at 11 and couldn't get through to anyone. The machine offered a callback so I left my number. I called back only to find that the office closed at noon. I hope to be able to eat solid food by next month.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist was awesome. She thoroughly explained things. Great personality. Great customer service. Dr Eddy was awesome . He immediately built rapport and put me at ease. His personality is stupendous! Both of them made me feel like the priority in the moment. Even the woman who reviewed the care plan and costs was great. Negative experience: My issue was fixed on time, and everyone was professional. However, after some years of attending this dentistry, I've found that their work does not last. Not even the little stuff. Also, they make you feel like they need to get your funds first, then address the problem. They did a deep cleaning on me and never went under the gums. Also, it was a 30-minute cleaning. not a 2-day thing. Did a build-up that lasted no time. Appears to have a concern about your teeth, but not sure. I know nothing lasts forever. However, you go to prevent, yet things don't add up. It just makes you wonder. Do they have my best interests at heart?

Positive experience: Very nice staff. Pleasant environment, but l did notice the waiting area was not decorated for the upcoming holiday the way it used to be decorated. "The Holiday Tree" was missing! Usually, there is a lovely decorated tree for each holiday, not just Christmas. I was lookng forward to seeing a tree decorated for the next upcoming holiday. I was there on Monday and expected to see an EASTER TREE. Some people are very uncomfortable going to the Dentist. The beautifully decorated "Holiday Tree" was a pleasing distraction. I have noticed both children and adults admiring the tree and even photographing it, just as l have many times. I hope the next time l come for my appointment l will be able to enjoy the "Holiday Tree" again.

Negative experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Glowski for years now, and have really appreciated his help and thought we had a good dentist patient relationship. Recently I had my insurance drop me with little notice, I scrambled to get new insurance that I thought they took and when I went to update it I cheerily got told that they can’t help me with anything anymore. I was in the process of getting a partial, they left me with a gaping hole in my canine I cannot afford to fix, and a half made partial. I got no offer for payment plans, which I’d gladly work with, or even called back. Very sad this is might be my final interaction with a dentist I trusted. I do not blame him directly but the receptionists were no help and had no idea what was going on. They ghosted me for 2 business days and a weekend, and I get a call after posting this review and finding new care already. I honestly feel like I was used for my insurance and now that I don’t have that specific one they do not care about me.

Negative experience: The staff is very nice! But the equipment is cheap and shoddy. Everytime they use this scanner on my teeth, it's an hour waisted. It's not the workers, it's the equipment. They got a new one a year later, same thing! Also 3 times I've told them I got a tooth pulled that they scheduled me to get pulled at another Hudec. Their records still reflect that I didn't get the tooth pulled! Another thing, If they call you and you miss the call, when you call right back, they have no idea who called you or why. Very poor communication. It's free through my insurance. You get what you pay for. Their Xray apron won't stay up on you, the Velcro is warm. Stuff like that.

Negative experience: If you’re could give zero stars I would. I had a filling done on March 17, 2025. Today is April 2nd, and I have been in constant pain ever since. It’s been over three weeks, and the pain is so severe that I can’t eat on one side of my mouth, and even light contact from my tongue is unbearable. Clenching my teeth hurts so much it brings me to tears. My entire right side of my face is swollen. I’ve tried everything from over-the-counter pain relief to saltwater rinses, but nothing helps. I expected some discomfort initially, but this level of pain for this long is not normal. I reached out to the office for help, but they checked my tooth and told me nothing was wrong. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated, as this has significantly impacted my daily life. If I could go back in time, I would not have allowed them to do my procedure! That’s how much pain I’m still in! I hope the office will take this issue seriously and offer a solution, as no one should have to endure this kind of pain after a routine filling.

Negative experience: When COVID was going on I had to cancel several appointments I am a nursing assistant I would get called into work I had to go. Since then I've been trying to schedule an appointment they said it has to be same day however they never have anything available 2and a half years later baaaaaad business practice. So now I'm going to get another dentist . Judec dental on puritas sucks

Fantastic experience: I have a real fear of going to the dentist let alone getting work done. In my 44 years of life I have finally found a dentist that understands how real the fear is. I’m excited to say I no longer have to be put under and have the tooth pulled because for me that was easier….no more panic attacks while in the chair is such a blessing! Thank you DR. Fantastic experience: The whole staffing is great! Dr. Glowski is wonderful, kind and gentle. I fully trust in him and his many years of experience. Jenna and Jennifer are wonderful assistance to him. Laura in billing was very helpful and informed me prior to coming in what I would expect out of pocket as I don't have dental insurance. The staff just works well together and respects one another.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this hudec location absolutely unprofessional. My appointment was a terrible experience. They do not have quality hygienists that care about your teeth or gum lines. I had to ask for the hygienist to clean each tooth actually give me a teeth cleaning. The hygienist did not check my gum lines. I also had to personally ask to have a doctor to give me an exam to check for fillings or issues. This is a standard part of a dentist appointment and is covered with each visit from my insurance. Also, the doctor did not even spend one minute looking at my teeth. It was apparent my hygienist did not have any experience and the doctor did not fully check out my teeth. This location of a scam and just trying to take your insurance payments. Be careful and avoid this dentist location.

Fantastic experience: 1st crown had me concerned. But Dr. Glowski was really reassuring with this old man. And the finance ladies were thorough to assist
Negative experience: I went here for a few years and had issues with the office staff so I went to a new practice. Only to find that the tooth I’ve been told for years was fine was in-fact, not fine and now I may lose it due to their negligence. Please save your money and your teeth and don’t go here.
Fantastic experience: Laurie is amazing, she got me an appointment right away. Dr. Edward Glowski made be feel comfortable and took great care of me. He explained everything and showed me what he would be doing. The staff are friendly and very professional. Thank you Hudec family for making me smile again.
Fantastic experience: As brand new patients, we appreciate the exceptional service at Hudec Dental. From booking our first appointment with reception, to check in, when dealing with the dental assistants, to the services offered by Dr. Kim, the entire staff made myself and my child feel welcome and comfortable. I am extremely impressed and thankful that they got us in quickly, took care of our needs and even gave us a follow up call to see how we were handling aftercare. Negative experience: On 10/26, I call hudec dental Purtias Office in attempt to pay a bill I was sent from Hudec Dental. I wanted to dispute the bill for a service my son F.G agreed to have, but never received. This visit was a few months back, when he agreed to the treatment they walked out and returned 15 minutes later to tell him he was done. Service never happened. My son was 19 at the time, so he never signed a consent form letting me talk to them. Therefore I was not allowed to talk to them. Then I inquired about my daughter’s appointment that day, I asked if there was any paperwork she needed to complete for her visit. I was informed there was nothing needed from me. Fast forward a few hours later, my daughter was sitting inside the office filing out her paperwork. Once she was completed, she was told that she went over her appointment time and needed to reschedule. How incompetent is this office staff?? My daughter sent messages and called me regarding this. I called the office, was transferred to the Purtias Office and was hung up on as soon as I was connected. I immediately called back and since it was after 4 pm, no one answered. My daughter was forced to have her cleaning done the folliowing week, only time available was during school. We always schedule our appointment after school, so she missed an important Senior meeting all because no one wanted to talk to me or to inform me regarding the paperwork. Why did my daughter have to reschedule her appointment because they schedule back to back appointments? When they run late, patients have to spend their time to get seen, but once it is close to quitting time, patients have to reschedule. Only reason why we continue to go to this office is because of Ashley, she is great and she has been cleaning my children’s teethe for several years. They are comfortable with her.

Negative experience: They used to be decent, I have been going there for 15 years. This year the entire front desk staff has gone downhill. I have had 3 appointments cancelled due to lack of staffing. Today I was told they are cancelling again, because the front desk scheduled my appointment wrong. My teeth will fall out before they actually get me in

Fantastic experience: This was my 4th visit to Hudec Dental-Puritas. Received my dentures. Very overjoyed to smile again, however, it is taking some getting used to after 30byears without. Always a good experience for me at this office

Negative experience: Dr. Glowski and his staff really screwed me over. I paid for their “dental plan” because I didn’t have insurance. The female (?!) hygienist came in all trussed up with multiple layers of protection. She then declared I needed a “deep cleaning “ and refused to clean my teeth. Even though I paid for their program in advance. The cost of the “deep cleaning” was quoted at almost $800 out of pocket. I scheduled the scaling process then changed my mind and cancelled. I went to another dentist who cleaned my teeth with no complaints. When I called back to Hudec Dental they refused to see me unless I fulfilled the $800 “recommended” procedure. Most often Dr. Glowski wouldn’t even examine me after my teeth were cleaned. He would walk in, crack a joke and leave. And probably bill the “program” for a consult. Very bad practice. Don’t use them!!!

Fantastic experience: This dental office is great. The Staff is very friendly and competent. Dr. Glowski is great. Automobile parking is plentiful. There is no designated bicycle parking, but there is a utility pole in the corner of the beautifully landscaped property which I was given permission to use to lock a bicycle. I highly recommend this particular Hudec Dental office.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Glowski and the entire staff at the Puritas location are outstanding. Everyone is so kind, personable and professional. I hate having dental work done but I always look forward to seeing them all. My only regret is that I can’t talk as much as I want to while they’re working on my teeth!

Fantastic experience: I have had about 7 appointments here for all of my fillings, 2 silver crown to ceramic crown replacements and a root canal! Dr. Kim is so pleasant, professional and surprisingly gentle when working. I can’t wait to schedule my deep cleaning. This place is the best!

Fantastic experience: The ladies were super helpful. They explained what steps I need to do for my teeth and very soft hand. They didn’t judge or look at me disgusting. Cause my teeth are pretty bad. But yet they were very understanding. As soon as I get my teeth all situated I will be going back.

Negative experience: I want to preface this with, I understand this will fall on deaf ears. But if even 1 person sees this and decides not to go here it was worth it. I started going to Hudec because my wife was provided their information by our dental insurance company. I went to them and they gave me a laundry list of things that needed worked on. It was 10x more items than someone that has regularly seen the dentist could imagine but I figured they knew what they were doing. Through 3 months of work I sat through 4 grueling 1+ hour sessions each, which culminated in them pulling my wisdom teeth(at another location). This is when the real issues start. My mouth was GUSHING blood when I left the office after they pulled my wisdom teeth. They said it was normal, I get home and it’s only gotten worse. My wife could not believe her eyes, so she called Hudec, and I quote “oh that’s normal it’ll stop eventually keep putting gauze on it… I went through 10 boxes of gauze pads in 6 hours. My wife finally took me to the ER when I almost fainted from blood loss. The doctors could not believe they let me walk out of there like that. Either way after a day in the ER I was released with a 4k out of pocket bill. Ok people make mistakes right? So I go to see a new dentist that had GLOWING reviews. They sat me down after an x ray and exam, essentially telling me all the work Hudec did either needed to be re done or completely changed. They did worked that wasn’t needed, the work that was needed was done incorrectly, I received filling when it should have been crowns. All in all Hudec has cost me north of 6k+ at this point. I looked into legal action, it’s truely sickening how dentists can basically kill you and there’s nothing legally you can do. I wish they would reach out and discuss this with me, however more than likely I’ll be ignored like all of their other poor reviews

Negative experience: They didn't seem to know what they were doing. I received no treatment yet I was there for over an hour and a half. Round 1 of X-rays was going ok until the tech tripped over a cord and ripped the bite wing right out of my mouth. Her first question "Did that hit the floor?" Umm.. no. Thanks for your concern though.. Took me back to see the dentist, then they go back for round 2 of X-rays.. which was strange. Even stranger is when they tried to tell me I have to take ANOTHER X-ray before I left. No dude. No. Save yourself the time and find another dentistry.

Negative experience: The work they did was great. Happy about the work. And the people are great very nice. Not happy about the price change for what I have to pay out. Was given one price 2weeks later it goes up a lot. They said it's the insurance. Insurance said they don't do that. They cover a percentage 50% which comes off the deductible and that does not change. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous going i, I had an abscess and was certain I was in for serious pain and a pulled tooth. Alicia did my xrays and assisted Dr. Kim. She was so sweet and very patient with me. Dr. Kim was simply wonderful!!! I had no pain at all with a root canal. She was patient as well. Ophelia did my fillings and was very sweet and kind. I will never go to another dentist again. I rate this team APlus!!

Negative experience: Was originally scheduled with Ashley (who is wonderful) and was told when I arrived that she was on medical leave so I was going to be seeing a temp hygienist. The girl who did my xrays was nice, however she broke skin in multiple places when she inserted the tabs into my mouth because she dug them in hard enough to break skin. The temp hygienist was semi-nice but did some serious damage to my gums (she jabbed the scaler tool into my already inflamed gums several times, causing them to bleed; several times harshly brushed my gums instead of my teeth due to not being careful with where she was aiming the brush; drenched my entire face in water multiple times due to not being careful with where she was aiming the water pik) and jokingly admitted to struggling to figure out how to use the specific tools that Hudec uses (i.e the water pik, the actual brushing machine). Also I had a sore on my lip and she ran over it a few times with the brush while it was turned on, which further irritated it and also broke the scab open. Also a less important point, scolded me for not flossing enough and insinuated that I should consider braces, even though I’ve been told my entire life that I didn’t need them and implied that I need to invest in teeth whitening supplies. Not normally the type of person who leaves reviews like this or even in general (especially because I’m usually very pleased with my appointments here) but I was pretty unhappy with this visit and hope that this will not happen to me during my next scheduled appointment

Negative experience: Not only was I disappointed in the whole visit, but I have filed a grievance with my insurance in regards to hudec. I simply went there to get a specific tooth checked out and was forced to get multiple X-rays. Not to mention the person taking the X-rays had no idea what they were doing and nearly ripped my tongue out. Oh, and boy did I get a talking to as if I had an ultimatum (either like it or leave). Also the dentist came in with an attitude scraped at a tooth. Then said "oh your mouth is terrible I can't do any work it won't stick". Then left the room without any type of professional demeanor. Then I was handed with a piece of paper with my hudec plan, which mounted over 9,000 dollars. I'm getting a second opinion and if it's any different than Dr Kim's plan I'm going to have the department of Medicaid seriously look into this and see if in fact this is money goudging practices. Fantastic experience: This office went above and beyond for my appointment today. I was a nervous wreck, very embarrassed over my teeth, and down in the dumps. My smile used to be the best and my most favorite thing about myself until I had extreme rapid weight loss and my teeth became bad, no matter what I did. Negative experience: I went to hudec dental for one reason. I have pain in my gum and my front tooth are not coming together, I was told that I have gum problem and I needed deep cleaning. I still have the letter from my insurance explaining what my dentist said was my problem and what I needed done. After going through the deep cleaning process my problem was not solved. So I questioned the lady who did my deep cleaning why I still have this problem. This was her answer to me. "We don't fix bone structure". I told her my tooth problem started couple of years. She replied, "you've always had this problem. Once you're 18 your bone structure is already formed so you've probably had this problem since you were 18". I realized that she will go on and on if I don't keep my mouth shut. So if you know that I have bone structure problem and you don't fix bone structure, why then did you recommended deep cleaning. I did not ask for deep cleaning. You recommended it. And if it didn't work for my situation, I have every right to question it. But this is the response I got when I asked. She was so rude. She wouldn't let me finish a sentence before she answers. I did not appreciate this treatment from her. And I did not leave smiling. I was actually sad.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero I would. I will absolutely never come back to any Hudac. 3 years ago while pregnant they kept blowing me off for prenatal care - asking me for the same release over and over, for a cleaning (they got it 3 times) before I just said forget it. And now, I have teeth damage (that yes, I did myself) when they knew I had it and never told me about so I never addressed it because I was detoured to come back to a dentist. Now, I come to find out I had an issue that should of been addressed years ago and it has resulted in a broken tooth and now I have to get multiple surgeries done on my mouth that was treatable years ago. So they want me to visit 3 different specialists. Nope, Hudac no longer gets my money. If you're a person who takes reviews into consideration....just know, I personally know people who have terrible stories about Hudac (multiple locations) being neglectful in many ways. Take this review how you will but if you experience poor service, you are not alone. I will never recommend this office to anyone ever.
