Negative experience: Everything was good till the day of appointment. The nurse that took my son to the room where procedure was going to get done , had the wrong patient file pulled up on the computer as she instead with me that he needed to sign some papers as the file said he was 19 years of age when I asked why was she asking him to sign, she said he’s 19 he can sign, I said to her no he’s not, he’s 16 years old and she try to make him sign anyways, when she looked on the computer she never quite apologize for the mistake. And when my son was being discharged, another nurse was rude in a sense that my son was sleepy and quite could not stay alert, and stand up in order to leave, she told him “ if you keep acting like that I can’t let you leave” he was not acting any wrong way, he just had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and had anesthesia, she wanted him to be fully awake? Just rude! She rushed us out the door. The Dr was very kind on both visits and on the day of procedure.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Oral Surgery Group for my son’s oral surgery. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and very professional. Dr. Sturn was absolutely wonderful—he took the time to explain everything clearly and made my 13-year-old son feel calm and comfortable before and during the tooth extraction, which was a complicated procedure. My son didn’t complain about any pain afterward, which truly shows how skilled and gentle the doctor is. On top of that, the staff called the very next day to check on his condition, which meant so much to us. That level of care really shows their dedication and professionalism. Fantastic experience: had my #32 Wisdom tooth extracted here. Dr Amy Tanchyk did a wonderful job getting the tooth out. we didnt do anything beyond Local numbing at my choice, and i was offered to reschedule if i wanted laughing gas or iv anesthetics. despite just using local numbing the pain was minimal and the care taken to keep the mood light and relaxing was superb. Should any other teeth need to be removed, or any surgeries done this will likely be the office i return to.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stern is my surgeon here, and he's a real "painless dentist." Considering the amount of drilling and grinding, there was very little pain during my surgeries. Over the course of a year he removed two teeth, then performed a sinus lift, then installed two implants. He made sure I knew beforehand what was involved, what came next, and also what he was doing as he worked. The staff in the New Brunswick office is also five star-- efficient, friendly, and compassionate.

Fantastic experience: This was my initial visit with Dr. Michael Stern. I was apprehensive about having a tooth extracted after a cap broke off after 30 years. Dr. Stern was helpful in minimizing my fear of the pain. He allowed plenty of time for the Novocain to numb my gums. During the procedure I told him that I thought I needed a little more Novocain in a section of my gum. He said that it wasn't necessary because he had already finished. I felt like he was a magician. I was given normal postoperative instructions and medications to alleviate any pain or swelling. I experienced very little pain, swelling and bruising and was appreciative that all went so smoothly.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the oral surgery group was helpful and took excellent care of me. The dentist took time to explain everything and made sure I understood any possible issues. All after care was fully addressed and the nurse gave me the supplies I needed for when I got home along with printed instructions. However, he charged for an oral exam which he did not perform. He did look at the x-ray taken in the office and worked off what he saw on that image. It was very costly.

Fantastic experience: Everyone working there was exceptionally kind and warm hearted! I got my wisdom teeth taken out just yesterday and haven’t had any swelling and the pain is almost nonexistent! I even got to get my teeth back afterwards and they were perfectly whole. I had a great experience here and highly recommend it to anyone getting their wisdom teeth taken out!

Positive experience: My daughter’s wisdom teeth removal went perfectly. All of the practitioners she came into contact with were great. The problem was that they forgot to prescribe anti-nausea medication and when our daughter had been throwing up for 24 hours afterwards we could not get in contact with the office. My husband left three messages before someone got back to him. By that point our daughter had not been able to keep either the antibiotics or the pain meds down and felt absolutely miserable. After we finally got the anti-nausea meds she felt immediately better and was able to take the other meds, so it was clear she had been suffering for nothing. In my view there really is no excuse for this.

Negative experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed here and expressed concerns about tooth shifting due to my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I was told it wouldn’t be an issue, but now a back tooth has shifted, leaving a large gap where food gets stuck and causes pain. I now need an overfilled filling to fix it, which isn’t an ideal or permanent solution. I also have pocketing due to things not healing properly, which I was also told not to worry about. I feel like my medical concerns were dismissed, and I’m now dealing with complications I was assured I wouldn’t have. If you don’t have any medical issues I’m sure they can do a fine job, but I would still maybe look elsewhere. Nothing worse than a doctor with a big ego who can’t back it up. I also had an allergic reaction that put me in the hospital due to the antibiotic they prescribed after telling them I’m allergic to amoxicillin.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is DEATHLY afraid of dentists I was really surprised as to how relatively pain-free the molar extraction was. I chose to just do shots, no gas. The shots were uncomfortable but not that bad. Slight bitter taste with sone of them was the worst thing and Dr. Stern warned me beforehand . It was over before I knew it! Couldn't believe how fast it went ! Staff were very nice and efficient. I went to the New Brunswick office. Highly recommend Dr. Richard Stern for any extractions yiu may need. Highly satisfied and definitely recommend ☺️

Positive experience: Surgery was fine for my kid, staff was friendly. Doctors bedside manner was less than stellar. I had to calm my kid down from his over sharing of procedure details. I watched the support staff wince. Billing is horrendous and callous. They waited a year to send me a balance after health care spending expired. No interest in helping. You will also notice someone consistently replying to critical reviews with pretended sympathy. No one has contacted me regarding my concerns. This poster for the office is just whitewashing.

She communicates very effectively face-to-face or via email. She has a lovely disposition. Now on to THE MAN with the MASTER PLAN - DR. SIMOS IS THE TRUTH!! I met him 10 years ago when he extracted my tooth. That was my first extraction, so naturally I was nervous. It was a positive and pain-free experience I never forgot. Here we are 10 years later and the endodontist tells me she cannot perform a root canal on my tooth and suggests I explore an implant. Uggh - nervous again. I immediately think of Dr. Simos and am thrilled he’s still with the Oral Surgery Group. Ok now I’m feeling better and I make an appointment late 2024 to discuss the possibility. Dr. Simos answered all my questions and does not rush me to make any decisions. Fast-Forward: I had the extraction/bone graft early this year. I just completed the implant this week. DR. SIMOS’ EXPERTISE and chair-side MANNER puts me at ease. I was amazed I felt not one moment of pain! Two days post, and all is well. Dr. Simos, Hector and all involved in keeping me calm. Fantastic experience: I had extraction of a back molar, followed by insertion of an implant in the space in front of the extracted tooth. Took less than a half hour for both procedures, including local anesthesia before starting! No pain during procedure as Richard Stern dispensed anesthesia to all the correct nerves in the area. (Just pricks of pain where needle was inserted.) Minor pain afterwards, relieved by just acetaminophen. Although I filled the Rx for a stronger pain killer, I never needed to take Rx. No swelling or bruising of face, so I never needed the supplied small gel ice pack. The gum is healing nicely. This is the place to go if you need what I had done.
