Fantastic experience: My previous dentist passed away. We went to several before we found Maughan Dentistry. We couldn’t be happier. They not only are kind when you come in but they really give you a full service. Crowns can be done in their office the same day. I have referred several people to them. All of my extended family who live in the area go to them. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this practice for years, and I believe they have done a good job for both my husband and me. However, we have been charged for routine cleanings that are 100% covered by our insurance. They also required us to pay for X-rays that we never requested. Our routine cleanings are fully covered by our insurance, and even though we clearly stated that we only wanted the services included in our coverage, they still billed us immediately after the cleaning exam. This is not acceptable. We have filed a formal complaint through the insurance company requesting reimbursement.

You're very detailed oriented, compassionate, and took the time listen to me and answer all my questions. Is there a way to special request you for future cleanings? Haha All the doctors and staff have been great! I highly recommend this dentist to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Maughan Dentistry is wonderful! Their entire staff was kind, answered all my questions, and was so willing to work with me! Debbie cleaned my teeth today and was amazing! She was so kind, talked to me and made me feel at ease which is a hard thing bf to do when you’re in someone’s mouth Debbie also was really good about telling me what she was seeing, explaining why my teeth were so sensitive and then provided feedback and advice on how to combat it. I felt very informed and like I knew exactly what I needed to do to improve my hygiene. I hope everyone that works there is paid well because their customer service and care quality was outstanding!

Negative experience: I used to love Maughan dentistry. Even wrote a 5 star review. But something has changed and it’s become more “corporation minded” I went in to have pain looked at, feeling something on the side of my gum. They took pictures, the new doctor looked and then pitched a crown again. 2 days later I pull something out of my gums and felt completely better. No idea how he missed seeing that if he wasn’t so focused on getting his crown in. Won’t be going back

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Maughan Dentistry for several years to get my cleanings done. I recently had veneers done by Dr. Maughan and I'm beyond happy with my results! Dr. Maughan and his staff are professional, kind, and absolutely incredible. He and his assistant walked me through the entire process of getting my veneers done and are so knowledgeable. I would 1000% recommend him and his staff for any and all of your dental care needs!

Fantastic experience: My son had his lower wisdom teeth extracted by Dr.Martinez. After a weekend of them erupting and hurting my son, we were able to get in for a consultation and extractions shortly after. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Maughan's office for years now, I was a patient of his fathers before he retired, and believe the younger Dr. Maughan' is the best in the valley. From extracting the worst wisdom teeth on my children to calming my nerves for a root canal, he is professional, kind and gentle, I can actually now watch a movie while they work! I forgot to add how amazing and kind all Dr. Maughan’s staff are. They take their time with you, just lovely!

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter in to see Dr Kenny to get two cavities taken care of, she is 9 years old, it went so smoothly she told me she didn’t even feel the shot he had to give her. Everyone at the office was so nice. The personal TV really helped my daughter stay calm during the appointment. It has never been a battle to get my girls to go to the dentist they all love Dr Kenny.

Fantastic experience: Maughan Dentistry has been my dentist for years! I look forward to my cleaning twice a year as the hygienists are always so fun. The Maughan (literally) dentists are top notch, professional, and really nice. I’ve always just needed cleanings, but I asked for an extra special cosmetic service the last time I was in the office. Dr. Maughan provided the work on my teeth with excellence and just as he promised. The front desk and billing staff are awesome. I would not go to any other dentistry office!

Fantastic experience: It’s so easy for me to keep visiting Maughan Dentistry! They send me an mailer postcard to remind me of my visit, but actually I loved the automated text messages and the email that puts an event on my Google Calendar. Since I always need to adjust the time for new needs 6 months out, the receptionist is always quick to answer the phone, and it’s easy for me to find a time that works well for me. The cleaning is done with great care, and they even take the time to teach me about my mouth and coach me along the way. I trust that the staff and assistants and doctors are well trained and taking good care of my oral health. They have well earned the regular office visit premiums. They even take X-rays every six months, and waive it when my insurance doesn’t cover it so that the doctors have good information when reviewing my mouth!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Cameron and have to leave a compliment to this office. I was treated so kindly by each member of the staff and didn't feel judged or pressured at all. I've had some unfortunate experiences with other dentists in the past, and my teeth are a sore spot for me. I really appreciate the honesty, care, and kindness I was shown. Fantastic experience: This is mine and my family's trusted Dental office. I have several implants and the top teeth redone by Dr. Mike Maugham. It's been a year since all this major work and I so pleased with the quality of his work. Every one of their staff is genuinely nice and not fake; I really love that about his staff. If I ever move, I will go the distance to come here for my dental work and care.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Maughan Dentistry was so nice to me! They were also very good at letting me know my status while in the office. They told me when I would be taken back soon, they let me know if I would need to wait for something, and they answered all my questions. Dr. Kenny Maughan (the son, I think) was also super personable despite only seeing him for a few minutes. He and all his assistants/dental hygienist (whose names I don’t remember unfortunately) were very helpful. I would recommend Maughan Dentistry 10/10

Fantastic experience: Our family started going to Kenneth Maughn 20 years ago when one of our children had a toothache and our dentist wouldn't get them in. He has been the best! We wouldn't go anywhere else. No pain, relaxed atmosphere with the nicest girls in the office. I cant say enough good things about him.

Negative experience: Dr. Kenneth Maughan, Jr. recommended two crowns. The crowns would have cost me $659.58 and cost my insurance $813.76, or a total of $1,473.34. Another dentist examined the teeth thoroughly and recommended that no procedures take place, and that those two teeth should still last a long time. That saved both me and my insurance a lot of money.I recommend avoiding this dentist. He also did unnecessary dental work on my spouse and on me in the past. Find an honest dentist instead, and you will do a lot to preserve your teeth and your health, and your money. Although very polite and minimal wait times, that doesn't make up for wanting to permanently damage teeth and charge $1,475 for unnecessary work. I need to find a different dentist! Further, the hygienist didn't polish my teeth, and another dentist felt that my teeth still needed additional cleaning. Dr. Maughan also did another unnecessary crown for me a couple years earlier. The review is accurate, although the name associated with my review is the name I've used for a google account. Rather than dispute with a dentist, our family decided to patronize another dentist instead. With the experiences we've had, I think readers will understand why.

Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased with Dr. Mike and how professional he was. I'm so pleased with the work he did for me. After three hours of implant and three crowns surgery I'm able to eat and have no pain right after. The office has all the best technology which made my experience amazing. I don't have to go home with temporary crowns and wait days for the crowns to be done and then have to come back to have them fitted. It was all done in one visit. Thank you Dr. Mike!

Fantastic experience: I found Maughan Dentistry by compete accident about 3 yrs ago. I had a problem tooth (Root canal with no cap and broken) I had been to a number of different places who all told me it would have to be pulled. After meeting with Maughan, they told me it was a difficult procedure but they could do it. It turned out absolutely fantastic and I have recommended everyone I know to them from that point on. Best dentist/staff around in my opinion. Just had another visit and they are still providing outstanding service.

Fantastic experience: Went in today embarrassed because ive had rough dentists in the past and have avoided them at a bad cost to my own health, energy levels and severe tooth infection/jaw pain. Dont wait any longer. Get them fixed! 1st step may be the hardest but its not worth waiting. Cameron, who saw me today was very gentle with my exam. He was patient and straight forward with all the procedures that needed to be done and my options, I feel confident in my return and look forward to a better smile someday.

Fantastic experience: THIS is the BEST dentist office I have ever been to, and I will continue to visit for my dental needs. I recently went to a different dentist (sorry Dr. Mike, & Katie) closer to my home for convenience, but I regret it entirely. Other dental offices just don't compare to the high quality of care that exists within the walls of this dentist office. Maughan Dentistry IS on another level when it comes to patient comfort, providing insurance info that is easy to understand, kindness, and professionalism. This office legitimately cares for the outcome of their patients' health & happiness. Anytime a concern is brought to my attention regarding a cavity or tooth issue, it's explained simply and with no pressure. That is another difference maker here in this office. This is the only place I've been to where I didn't feel pressured or cornered into getting work done on my teeth. Please, just go visit this office for getting your dental work or routine cleanings done. Take it from someone who couldn't stand going to the dentist (even as an adult). Now that I know my dental care is always going to be at Maughan Dentistry, I look forward to it.

Fantastic experience: I’m always nervous to find a new dentist whenever I move. I am so happy I found Maughan Dental. All of their staff are friendly and kind. And I like that they are honest and conservative; they don’t try to get you to do procedures that aren’t necessary. They don’t ever shame me or my kids for needing dental work. They are professional and have a calm atmosphere. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: We love Maughan dentistry for many reasons. First, they use laser technology to fill cavities so no painful shots or drilling needed. Both my kids (8 and 4 at the time) only had to use gas. Second, their staff is nice. One of their hygienists Megan is down to earth and great with me and my kids. And lastly, their dentist, Dr Mike is also great with kids and us adults and is straightforward and honest. I never felt he was arbitrarily filling a cavity it trying to get us to do any unnecessary work.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service, very personable people and love that I'm not just another dollar sign to them, they went above and beyond in building the relationship with me. They also let me know of items I could just get from a regular shop that would do the job compared to their stuff for a fraction of the price! Definitely found my dentist!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Maughan Dentistry for years after a horrible experience elsewhere. They are not the kind of dentists to fill every tiny cavity, which we appreciate. They watch tiny cavities and wait until they progress to fill them. Their staff is always kind and Debbie is the best hygienist we've ever had. Edit: we continue to love the staff at Maughan. We have now been seen for our entire family’s needs for 10 years. Dr. Kenny just put on 8 beautiful veneers and I could not be happier.

Positive experience: So I've been twice to this office, staff is very friendly. I strongly dislike going to the dentist, in fact hate, while a strong word, and one I dislike using better sums up my opinion of the word dentist. The friendly staff is a huge positive and have made the transition to this new dentist easy. They do seem to care about their patients. However, I don't appreciate going in for a cleaning and being lectured throughout the process. I am there to get my teeth cleaned not to be judged and then lectured like I'm five. Then based on the lecture, feeling pressured to take additional preventative steps that I cannot currently afford. I ended up spending money I don't have to get presription toothpaste just to get out of there as fast as I could because I was feeling pressured and overwhelmed. This was not my previous experience to this office so I am disaapointed. It was a frustrating visit to this office today, and a rough start to my day. I will return in hopes it was just an off day all around, but not looking forward to it.

Fantastic experience: I love the staff at this dentist office. Everyone is so kind and professional. I never feel nervous going to the dentist. They are all incredibly good at what they do. I had a new cap put on a tooth and it was done quickly and efficiently. It was a great experience!

Negative experience: I went to Maughan dentistry for a couple years and was unusually satisfied with the quality of their service and staff. When they added Dr. Maughan’s brother to the team, they switched me to him (though I’d been seeing the original Dr. Maughan) without informing me or receiving my consent beforehand. I requested to be switched to my preferred dentist, but I would’ve had to wait a long time to get in, and Maughan dentistry is out of my way (fine for 2 visits a year but difficult to reschedule). I had a terrible experience with this new dentist. It was one of my most painful visits in the chair.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff. Friendly, kind and genuine. The work done was top notch. Clean office with stunning views. Dental assistants, Mary and Cam were wonderful to work with. Very fair prices and effortless scheduling. Literally no wait time in the office!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I’ve ever been to! Dentistry’s are so dishonest. No shady people here! They make it so easy for my whole family to come in at the same time and help my children have wonderful experiences here. My kids enjoy going to Maughan Dentisry. I highly recommend!

They’re also super honest, which, in my experience, not all dentists are. And Mary is just the BEST dental hygienist!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Maughan's office is amazing! I went to my dentist here in Los Angeles, where I am from, for a checkup and to see how much it would cost to have some minor cosmetic work done. He ended up telling me that there was a lot I needed, and that along with the cosmetic work I was inquiring about, it was going to cost me over $16K, and take at least a year to complete... I was almost going to begin the work in LA, but then I started talking to a friend who lives in UT about it, because he was telling me that he just had some dental work done with an awesome dentist—Dr. Maughan. He recommended I look into coming out to UT for my dental work, and so I did. Long story short, I found out that I didn't actually "need" anything my LA dentist was encouraging. I had fillings that were perfectly fine that he was just trying to “upgrade,” and there are many less-expensive options available for the cosmetic work I wanted. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Maughan and flew out a few weeks later. Yesterday was my appointment at Maughan Dentistry. I was in and out in about an hour. I got ALL of the work I wanted done, and I am 100% satisfied with the result, and on top of that, I literally saved over $15K and countless hours in the chair. Dr. Maughan is honest, extremely informative and a professional—and his staff are just as great. It is so important, especially during these times, that you find a dentist's office that you can trust, and Maughan Dentistry is just that!
