Fantastic experience: I have been going to this office for the past five years. I have never been disappointed with the service. They were able to fit me in quickly for semi urgent issues. Dr. Alan is great and the repair he did continues to hold up well. The oral hygienists are excellent, especially Alina, who has worked with me for the past two years. My teeth tend to accumulate stains very easily, and every time, she has been very diligent to make sure all the stains are removed. I can’t thank her enough for the superb care.

Fantastic experience: I chipped my upper canine on a shell embedded in a granola bar. The hygienist and dentist were efficient. My issue was resolved with a quick sand and polish and I was on my way feeling relieved and confident that all was now well.

Negative experience: I trusted Cooley Smiles – Bellevue as an in-network provider, but was deeply disappointed when they scheduled two cleanings just two months too early, violating my insurance’s 24-month coverage policy—a mistake that could have been avoided with a simple insurance verification. I paid my copay in good faith, only to discover the services were denied and I was on the hook for the full amount. I was never informed of the risk, and I only found out by accident weeks later. I called to correct this oversight and I was treated rudely and hung up on. This was an administrative error on their part, yet I’m being financially penalized. Extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Beware of this company’s predatory billing practices!

Fantastic experience: I am so appreciative of the time Dr. Kelly spent and the care she offered during my visit to re-cement the crown that had recently become dislodged from the upper back tooth. Both dental assistant, Katrina, and Dr. Kelly made me feel so comfortable and confident that my dental need would be addressed. Their evaluation of the situation resulted in the determination that there was no additional decay in the tooth below where the crown was located, so they safely proceed with re-cementing the crown. The re-cemented crown is presenting no problems whatsoever since leaving the office. The experience with both Dr. Kelly and Katrina made my day yesterday! I was so fortunate that Cooley Smiles made it possible for me to fill the spot of a patient cancellation yesterday morning and all of the receptionists and insurance advisers warmly helped me process the new patient forms before my appointment. Normally these forms are requested to be filled in prior to a visit but since I had a more immediate need, the office staff helped to accommodate me. I couldn't have asked for more and I am pleased that the staff at Cooley Smiles will be my new dental care provider as I have just recently moved to Bellevue from near Chicago, Illinois. My experience with my prior dental services in Illinois was not very consistent but I have evidence that I will continue to receive friendly and professional care at Cooley Smiles in Bellevue. I look forward to my first official appointment as a new patient of Cooley Smiles in the near future. I am grateful for the collaborative help they gave me when I needed some more immediate care for my crown. Doug E Sept. 24, 2019 I had my first official appointment today at Cooley Smiles with Dr. Kelly and dental hygienist, Megan. It was for a checkup and cleaning. I was again most pleased with the entire office staff who greeted me and made me feel comfortable as I waited. After a short wait I was ushered into the office by Megan who had explained the process for the first appointment and then proceeded accordingly. Since my last dental X-rays were over a year old, she took X-rays and said that they would assist the doctor in seeing any issues that might need addressing and that they would help determine the cleaning process for my teeth. Both Dr. Kelly and Megan worked well together in the checkup part as well as the cleaning. One tooth with a minor issue will be taken care of on my next visit. I was pleased that they could confirm the positive strategies I use in cleaning my teeth each day and how helpful they were in answering questions that popped into my mind as we proceeded. I will definitely stick with Cooley Smiles for my future dental appointments. The entire staff is outstanding in my eyes! Doug Edmonds January 18, 2020 Yesterday I had a teeth cleaning appointment and a filling that needed replacement in one of my front upper teeth. The hygienist was very thorough and was able to give me some tips as she cleaned my teeth. Dr. Kelly had replaced the fractured filling on my front tooth and did a great job matching the natural tooth color with the fill. The area is very smooth now and looks great. I will continue to go to Cooley Smiles for my dental needs. This has been the best dental experience I have ever had and I have gone to many dentists given that I have relocate many times over the years. You will not be disappointed. The office personnel are very knowledgeable about insurance coverage and will do all they can to assist.

Fantastic experience: This is a monumental moment, so I had to leave a review! After 15+ years of being terrified of the dentist and needing nitrous oxide for even teeth cleanings, I was able to get through an emergency treatment today without the help of nitrous oxide. Audible gasp. This was all thanks to Dr. Jacqueline, who was so incredibly patient and kind throughout my treatment, walking me through every step she took. Even getting numbed up was so much better than I thought it would be! I've been a patient at Cooley Smiles for years, and while other dentists I've received treatment from have been great, Dr. Jacqueline is the only one I want to see from now on. The staff is also wonderful! So many medical office have the surliest front office staff who are so rude and unwelcoming, making appointments I dread even worse. Not here, though! Ooh and another plus - I love that you can make separate emergency appointments through their website. (I'm your typical millennial who hates having to pick up the phone and... talk to people, lol).

Negative experience: They ruined my teeth. I went in as a new patient and my teeth were perfectly fine. They convinced me they needed to fix two old fillings - which were done poorly and resulted in me having to get a root canal and crown, and probably needing another, wasting thousands of dollars I don't have on work I never should have needed. Always made me feel it was somehow my fault this was happening when my teeth were fine before they got in my mouth. I'm honestly scared of the dentist now.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Cooley Smiles for almost 10 years, but things have been getting worse recently. The good doctor who used to take care of us is no longer showing up. Things have gone downhill badly. I booked a regular tooth cleaning appointment, and nobody informed me that I needed to sign anything in order to receive the service, especially since I have received multiple services in the past and already signed the required forms. Five minutes before my appointment was supposed to start, I was suddenly told there was a "brand new policy" and was threatened that I had to sign it or they wouldn’t provide the service. I explained that I have been a long-time patient and had already signed the previous policy. Since my appointment was supposed to start in just one minute, I promised to review the three new policy documents after my appointment, as I didn’t want to rush through them. However, the receptionist became aggressive, cut me off more than five times, and refused to listen. Instead, they kept repeating the same thing, threatening that I had to sign whatever they gave me immediately or I would be kicked out. I’m sorry, but I really don’t like the feeling of being threatened. And here I am—kicked out of Cooley Smiles. Thanks for the service!

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Stephanie was so detailed and gave me such a thorough cleaning as well as friendly and informative recommendations for taking better care of my teeth and gums. I was comfortable throughout my entire visit and when the dentist came in for the examination, he spent a lot of time really checking my teeth and he asked a lot of questions and really listened to me. I believe Dr. Adam for the first time and he had similar, great qualities. He said he tends to leave more towards holistic dentistry, and I appreciate that! I’ve been going to this office for years and the last three or so, there’s been a lot of changeover. I’m pleased to report that the newer employees are fantastic and I would highly recommend the Cooley smiles office. Oh, and a little hint, if the parking lot is full, Which it often can be… I park in one of the “always” empty handicap spots for one short visit. Otherwise, you would have to park blocks away (And be late ), because everywhere else around says “no parking for Cooley”. I’m sure the office would not recommend this so, …. shush.

Positive experience: Usually I have a good experience here, but my hygienist was not friendly to me and gave a very mediocre cleaning. No additional information was provided after me about post dental cleaning and she seemed like she just wanted to clean as fast as possible. The dentist was great and I usually have a great experience here but hopefully it was a one time occurrence with this hygienist!

Negative experience: UPDATE: 2 months later, the crown it took them 4 visits to finally finish is extremely sensitive and still hurts when i chew. Wasted so much of my time with 2 additional appointments, which shouldn't have been necessary, due to their own admitted mistakes. As a make good on the last visit, the receptionist absently gave me two $5 Starbucks gift cards while she was on the phone. (Oh, they also sent me a bill, which they retracted later after I had to spend more time straightening it out with them.) I’d laugh at what a joke this place is if my mouth didn’t hurt so badly.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Cooley Smiles. Their waiting room is large and inviting as an atrium with other dentist practices. The doctor sat down with me and explained as he reviewed my x-rays and oral health. The x-ray tech and hygienist explained what they were doing and provided explanations and answers to my questions.

I had a crown done about a year ago by another dentist. The crown was mostly fine except the bite was not quite right even after adjustments in two visits. Finally, thanks to Dr. Cooley who fixed my bite problem like a charm.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Brandon Cooley and his team gave my son a thorough exam for consultation of invisible liners. But after checking him out, Dr.Cooley advised traditional bracing is more suitable for the teen boy and recommended to find an orthodontist for the service. First of all, they are professional, and then they are super friendly and make your life easier. When Dr. Omar worked on my teeth, I did not feel it. All my life, I have suffered with dentists, but after today, no more. They are totally different.

Fantastic experience: As always my hygienist is thorough AND quick! I drive 2.5 hours for my checkups and I always say I’m going to find a new dentist closer to home but I don’t know that I’ll ever have someone so efficient and on point!

Fantastic experience: I have always had such a great experience with Cooley Smiles. All the work has been exceptional, with no discomfort. Staff is informative and friendly.

Negative experience: Over the years, Cooleysmile went from been a patient-first dentist to take as much money as possible from you, regardless your needs. This morning, my wife had a cleaning appointment, which she carefully scheduled to fit into her busy day. Sadly, at her arrival to Cooleysmile's office, they wanted to take XR in instead. My wife insisted that they can do that in another time or, even later in the same day but first, she wanted to prioritize the cleaning. After all, the appointment was made for a cleaning. Regardless my wife needs, they refused to do the cleaning and prefer to lose a customer. My wife try to speak with any of the two Colley brothers but Christine (secretary) and Lynn (office manager) told her that they were busy with other patients. 20 Min later, I call the office and Christine lied to me, telling me that both Cooley brothers were out of the office. Mad about this unprofessional behavior, I called a different location and let them know that needed to speak to any of the Cooley brothers or, I would write a review with the events. They took m y phone number and promised to contact Dr Cooley. In instead, they contacted the previous location to let them know about my call and instead of receiving a call from Dr Cooley, I received a Call from Lynn (the same office manager I spoke earlier). She lied again, this time telling me that both Drs (Cooley's Brothers) were out of town....she lied to me every time we spoke. Needless to say that they lost a patient today. Just as they lost me as a patient a few years ago. UPDATE Brandon Cooley called me at my phone but rather than being open to listening to what happened and try to find a solution, he went straight into accusations, telling me that a bad review in Google would damage his business. I tried to tell him that I spoke with three different people in his office and they all covered their mistake from him, and denied patients from speaking directly with any of the two brothers but, he didn't want to listen. I'm shocked to see that he didn't even care about his patients. I told him that both, my wife and I stopped going to his clinic due to the way they treat patients and said "I don't care"...

Negative experience: Apparently, more X-rays than insurance feels are necessary, but that was not mentioned during the visit. I only found out after the EOB arrived. My visit in January 2022 was better. I explained the issues of my (and my wife’s) previous visit(s) with billing, and things were resolved to my satisfaction. However, it took my asking to ensure it was done properly. My August 2022 visit was fine. I had to cancel my original appointment due to my grandson being born in NYC, and I was on the standby list. That worked just fine. A cancellation made a pop-up appointment 40 minutes later in January 2023. That worked great. My technician was great and ensured everything stayed within insurance boundaries. I just visited Cooley Smiles on June 4 2024. Two areas of concern: 1. In order to complete my pre-appointment check-in, I was REQUIRED to acknowledge I had peridontal disease. I had never had a dentist or technician tell me I had peridontal disease; it felt like being told by a bot that I had cancer. This automated communication was unsatisfactory. 2. The lack of personal interaction conyinued when I showed up at the front desk. I was directed to an iPad screen to check-in, while all three of the lovely ladies behind the desk worked their respective computer screens. When I had trouble getting the system to recognize my name (I wrote Doug instead of Douglas), the person closest to the iPad screen had to interrupt whatever it was she was doing to tell me it was my full name. Let me be very clear: the reason I came to Cooley Smiles almost 24 years ago was due to the personal service and friendly reception I received when checking in. The “new systems” used to interact with and check in patients are a complete reversal from what made me choose Cooley Smiles in the first place. I am considering taking my dental care elsewhere, even though there’s nothing wrong with the care itself, just due to the feeling that I’m a faceless number to be processed rather than a flesh-and-blood human being to be treated.

Fantastic experience: I was welcomed with a beautiful smile and a warm good morning. I worked with Judy and have for almost 20 years now and she is great and always have been. Cooley Smiles is a great place for dental care! Thank the whole team for great care year after year!

Fantastic experience: I have to start this review by saying I truly dread going to the dentist from past experiences. I also have Generalized Anxiety Disorder which can make medical appointments difficult for me. None of that really matters when going to Cooley Smiles because they accommodate anxiety very well. Before starting I took some medication to relax. The front office was great and checked me in quickly. Once back, I was able to log into Netflix and watch my favorite show. I felt very comfortable. Dr. Xie and Gabriella did a great job filling some cavities. They numbed my gums before doing the injections so I didn't feel anything. At some point I felt a little pain and was taken seriously; another injection was given right away. I quickly realized I was safe and could relax. I know now that I can come back for the rest of my treatments without feeling so anxious. If you feel scared about seeing a dentist or have any anxiety issues, this is the practice for you. You'll be taken seriously and no one will judge you. I can't recommend Cooley Smiles enough.

Fantastic experience: I lost a crown Thursday afternoon, after office hours. I called and left a message, and the staff at the Factoria office were able to find an appointment time Friday morning to replace my crown. I really appreciate the care and professionalism of the dentists, assistants, and office staff -- I didn't have to spend the whole weekend being uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: Always professional, on time, and friendly. Dental Hygenists do a great job. When I first went there several years ago I needed a lot of dental work. Since then it’s only been the twice a year cleanings.
