Fantastic experience: There is good customer service in a dental practice, and then there is exceptional and caring customer service. Nocera recognized our challenges and provided customer care that included empathy for us as individuals. She could teach a class on how to 'care' for patients. Thank you, Nocera.

Negative experience: The customer service was so abysmal I really don't understand how they have any bookings at all. I called today to schedule an initial consult to get braces. I called this office because my dental plan admin provided their information stating they were in network and even gave the name of the doctor that would handle my care. The woman who answered the phone asked for my insurance, I told her I had a dental savings plan, to which she rudely told me they were not accepted. I clarified the insurance company sent me here specifically and provided their name, to which she then stated they DID accept that company. I then tried to explain I was interested in orthodontia. This somehow confused her? She asked if I had a referral and I told her my dentist gave one elsewhere but said I could go anywhere. She said she needed to speak with someone else for clarification, then cold transferred ME to another person. This new person also was confused about my wanting braces and began to condescendingly explain how a dental savings plan worked. I tried explaining to her that I already knew how it worked and was planning to pay out of pocket IN FULL for the service, just utilizing the discount provided by the plan. Paying for the service was never a problem. She then went on to say they don't even know if my plan is covered, despite the first rep confirming it was, and stated that insurance companies will keep providers on their list because they don't want to let go of contracts? Even if a provider cancels it? I worked in insurance for years before switching to the legal field, and I have NEVER heard of something like that. She then also said she needed to place me on hold to look up my plan info (without actually asking for the plan number or anything) and then cold transferred me to a random voicemail. Assuming potential customers don't understand their own dental plans or payment expectations before contacting you is absolutely wild. It's not a secret braces aren't cheap. I'm sure by now many people are aware of needing to save money to cover any costs not covered by insurance or savings plans. There are plenty of other orthodontists in the area, don't waste your time on this one.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at Belknap Dental Clinic. I had two small cavities fixed, and Dr. Kim and his assistant Kegan were professional, efficient, and made the visit quick and comfortable. The front desk and checkout staff were also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergent situation and they were able to squeeze me in the same day! Dr Jordan Betel and his assistant took excellent care of me.He resolved the situation completely. Negative experience: sadly the practice has been sold and all the familiar people are now gone and for some reason the internal attitude has changed. I am sad for this transition it was a fine 30 years as my dentists.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best Dentist office I've ever seen. From the front desk to my awesome dentist Dr. Peter Wilson, and there has never been any problems with the billing department. I came here because the first dental office had never explained to me the whole procedure for my dentures, and messed them up... Dr Wilson has been wonderful in explaining and making me a new set which I love. If you need dentures go see this man, he's compassionate and caring!! And he LISTENS!!!

It’s nice to have a couple of great hygienist to bounce between. Long time client, first visit with Marcie. I had the most relaxing and gentle dental cleaning I have ever had today. Marcie was amazing and I have requested her for all my future visits! Thank you, Marcie!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved this place. Marcy my technician was so great during my cleaning. I have had bad experiences in the past at a different place. She didn’t stab my gums once, and the cleaning was very pleasant. She always told me what she was doing and even showed me my dental x-rays to explain what my teeth looked like and if there was anything going on. The receptionists are also all so lovely and very friendly and warm. You can tell this place really cares about their employees because it shows through their attitudes and the atmosphere in this place. If you are thinking about finding a new dentist, this place is the one.

Fantastic experience: I REALLY dislike going to the dentist!!!! Heart rate and BP always get very high!! Cathy was so awesome and tried her best to put me at ease while performing my cleaning. Also, Dr. Jordan had such an easy, caring manner!! I would definitely recommend Belknap Dental.

Fantastic experience: I had a great visit at Belknap dental for my dental hygienist visit. Kathy was quick, thorough and engaging while I was there. Dr. Kim came in and checked everything over. Let me know it was good to go and I made another appointment for six months out. They are always professional there and always incredibly friendly.

Negative experience: The worst dentist I’ve ever been to. Hygienist admitted that their tools and stuff was all super old, that some of the dentists are not good. Dr Manchester suggested I basically replace a bunch of my teeth. I said no thanks and then saw Dr Kim. He injected me in the back of my mouth for a small fix in a front bottom tooth, NOT normal - my jaw was sore for days for what should’ve been an easy fix. He also made the tooth look wayyyy more yellow than the others… and his bedside manner was AWFUL. He was chatting with the hygienist the whole time and not checking in with me at all. My 6 year old daughter saw him too and he was completely dismissive of her, barely even looked at her mouth. I watched a drug addict do a zombie walk out the window (not the dentists fault, but still paints a picture). DO NOT GO HERE. I go elsewhere now and it’s back to normalcy.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist (as are so many), and my fear (unfounded as it turned out to be), kept me from finding and going to a dentist for over 10 years. My husband had to make the appointment for me and physically ensure I went. When we got there I was already upset and crying, and from the very first person we met at reception, all the way through my cleaning and my husbands, I was comforted, accommodated, and genuinely cared for by the staff. Everyone in the practice who noticed I was getting upset again made sure to stop and check in if I needed anything and to reassure me it would be alright AND that I had nothing to be embarrassed for regarding my fear. I would highly recommend Belknap Dental to anyone, especially those who may be holding off care due to fear.

Positive experience: Everything was great.....except having to fill out a new data sheet, that I just did six months prior. The form had many redundant questions.....I appreciate you are moving to a "new system". However, it is being handled poorly. The current data should have been printed for the customer to validate. This would have done away with the questioner when I walked through the door. Migration to a new system should be seamless, if you handle it properly. The workload shouldn't be passed to the customer. Not having much of the info on hand, I passed over answering it. That alone causes me to question the value and accuracy of the "new system" migration. At the very least, if you were using the form, attach it and e-mail to the customer to be filled out prior to the visit. Also, much of the data requested had no value. Most important, asking for the SSN. I don't give it out, you don't need it. Point in case....I have never given my correct SSN out in over 20 years, it has never been an issue. So, do you really need it? No.... whoever made the form needs to fill it out to understand its value, prior to fielding.

They work so well together and I know I can trust this team with all my dental needs. I would recommend them to anyone and giving glowing reviews. Negative experience: I am currently in the hospital and my finances is the only advocate/person I have. this office told him to reschedule ONE FILLING from today (3/18/25) it would be IN NOVEMBER and we have to pay $100 for rescheduling. understanding emergencies is a large part of these jobs and obviously this office has NO compassion. Even my office will wave for emergencies. We will NOT be returning here. I have to be left alone at a hospital in pain because this office is stingy and can’t fit a filling in for apparently NINE MONTHS

My hygienist Stephanie is very knowledgeable and taking care of my teeth I enjoy going to see her every time. I really recommend anybody to go and make an appointment at Belknap dentist .

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dubanoski put sealants on my molars in 1999; they are still there! His work has impressed my many dentists throughout the U.S. Glad to see that he is still practicing.

Positive experience: Great practice overall (Nora & Dr. Manchester are wonderful!!!); all staff that I've encountered are kind and considerate, flexible when possible and are great all around from procedural care to chair side manner. I am currently having an issue getting one of my children on board given that he has military insurance and was suggested to possibly find another practice for him rather than giving more creative options to include all of our family members- which is my reason for four stars. Overall, I'd certainly recommend this practice without question for their care alone, just be sure to check your insurance coverage with this office before becoming a patient if you have multiple people with more than one insurance company/type.

Negative experience: Dr. D was great as always but the organization of the business seems to have gone down hill. Wait times especially checking out were really long with people waiting in line. I had to ask 4 times to get a next appointment. Even then I felt they just shoved a time and date at me without working with me to see if it was convenient, and I rather take it or leave it manner. It was very disappointing with the way the staff operated.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing I never want to go anywhere else. From the front desk to the hygienist to the assistant to the doctor everyone at this location is great. Ive been through cleanings, cavities, and crowns and every time its been comfortable (as much as it can be). Couldnt be happier. 5 Years later update: I am now currently on the fence with this location. My hygienist is gone, my doctor and her assistant (unsure position title) is also gone. They overbook or are understaffed enough that cleaning appointments cannot be kept up with in 6 month increments. I have a new hygienist and a new doctor. I was pushed for treatments that cost money at checkout which never happened before and given promo codes to buy products from select vendors. It feels like this place has underwent a major transformation in the past year but they claim its the same management. I am now somewhat unsure of this location. It is possible that the sudden change after multiple years of consistency is throwing me off but time will tell.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Lee and her exceptional team, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From my first consultation for braces, which would complement a bilateral sagittal split osteotomy performed by an oral surgeon, I was deeply impressed by Dr. Lee’s extensive knowledge and expertise. She took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, patiently addressing all my questions and concerns with clarity. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Lee was in charge of my braces, and her communication with my oral surgeon was timely and seamless. This collaboration ensured that everything went smoothly, making me feel confident in the care I was receiving. I felt completely at ease during the entire journey, thanks to the remarkable level of care and attention I received. Dr. Lee and her staff were always available, providing unwavering support and guidance at every step. They made sure I felt comfortable and informed, transforming what could have been a daunting experience into a truly manageable one. Dr. Lee’s commitment to perfectionism is evident in her work. My results have far exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. If you’re looking for a skilled orthodontist who genuinely cares about her patients, Dr. Lee is absolutely the best choice!

Fantastic experience: Having gone without dental care for more than a few years, i was so happy with the care I received. Nora helped me out and was supportive, approachable, and informative. It didn’t feel like a shameful clinical visit which is what i feared after so long without a cleaning. There was a mixup with my insurance so i wasn’t able to be seen for my initial visit but the staff did a great job of getting me in as soon as they could for a reschedule (only about two weeks from a 6-8 month waitlist). It may seem like a long wait to get in but 1) they will likely get you in much earlier due to others cancelling and 2) this was amazing care from an approachable staff from the waiting room to the cleaning and checkout that it would be worth the wait if plausible regardless.

Fantastic experience: I was experiencing terrific pain and they were able to get me in on a Friday afternoon so I wouldn't go the weekend unable to chew or drink. Looks like another root canal soon. Thank you, Kelly and Dr. Kim!

On top of that, she had me make 2 followup appointments since staffing is challenged in her industry; the staff is booking out months! Very impressed with Belknap Dental.

Negative experience: My experience with the technician who prepped me and took X-rays was quite nice. She was responsive to my sensitivity and adjusted her approach in a way that made me comfortable. By extreme contrast, the dentist who examined me had zero bedside manner, displayed very little empathy, was dismissive of questions, and offered no proactive guidance. When he told me I needed a mouth guard, I asked what to look for in one and how to best select it. He responded that I should read the reviews on Amazon and offered absolutely no instruction on usage, how they work, or how to select one. When I pressed, he reiterated the advice to Google reviews. If I hadn’t been in such pain from his exam that I wasn’t thinking totally clearly, I may have persisted. With regard to the exam, it was pretty unsettling. Sure, it was bound to be unpleasant. But little was done to mitigate that and I believe the pain was substantially worsened. I went in reporting significant tooth pain. Dr. Kim went about trying to identify the location and cause of the pain. One wouldn’t expect this to be a fun experience. But Dr. Kim exuded irritation not only in my inability to immediately identify the location of the pain, but also in response to my discomfort. He eventually identified a tooth as cracked and in need of extraction. While diagnosing it as the source of pain, he at one point tapped it repeatedly with a weighted metal rod. I’m not certain, but I believe this action is what has resulted in the significant escalation of pain I am currently feeling, post-exam. I think Dr. Kim had no sense of potential fallibility or inaccuracy of his diagnosis, and therefore didn’t care if he caused further damage to a cracked tooth by tapping it with a metal rod. This approach disturbs me intellectually, because any doctor should be aware of the possibility of misdiagnosis. And more pressingly, in this moment, disturbs me physically, as I am in much more pain 12 hours after my exam than I have been in the days leading up to it. When Dr. Kim told me he was referring me to an oral surgeon for an extraction, he was prepared to offer no further context. This seems wildly irresponsible when telling someone you are going to remove a part of their skull that they have used everyday for the past 40 years. I pressed for details of what an extraction involved, and it seemed that Dr. Kim was unable to keep a look from crossing his face that read to me as, “it means they’re going to take out your tooth, dummy”. He didn’t say that, but he did offer the most sparse description possible, and I had to press for details about options for implants, what the surgery entailed, etc. I actually gave up on asking about the most basic things like pros and cons, risks, recovery time comparisons, etc. because he seemed so unwilling to volunteer anything and so detached from the idea that this might be a significant surgery to me. He did eventually say that getting an implant would be an 8 month process, but offered no conversation about what to consider in making that decision or any details of the procedure and recovery. This was truly an unpleasant and unprofessional experience in which the dentist seemed to have no awareness of any best practices for dealing with human patients.

Fantastic experience: Stephanie Is always nice and take care. Keep it up. Just one thing I would like to suggest that please get more hygienist so we don’t have to wait for next appointment after more than 6 months.Also, we have some issues and we were deciding to move service to Dr Alex. But Kelly helped me out and wee divided to stay with bathe great Belknap. Please try to keep you name flag up and up. It’s very hard to build the name and repatriation. But it’s very easy to reverse it. Try to focus on your turnaround rate, to decrease it. Keep it up Belknap!!!!.

Positive experience: I've been going to Belknap for many years and I've only had a few unpleasant experiences in all the time I've been a patient. My most recent visit was a combination of excellent and irritating. The receptionist they had scheduled on Thursday, August 1st in the afternoon was obtuse and unhelpful, failing to tell me that my hygienist was running nearly a half hour late (when I'd already arrived a half hour early) then lying to the hygienist by assuring her I knew about it when she never said a word. Instead, she rudely gave me the side eye when I started looking up and wondering where my hygienist was when she was clearly running behind. I basically sat there an hour (and had to pay extra for the parking privilege) during that time when I could have run an errand. This person also gossiped with another employee about their co-workers, whispering within earshot of myself and other patients. Incredibly unprofessional, to say the least. Thankfully, my aggravation was humorously assuaged by my hygienist Nora, who is personable, professional, friendly, and caring. I felt so much better after just a few minutes in her warm, kind presence and left in a far better state than during the hour I'd wasted sitting in the waiting room. I recommend Nora highly, she is tops!

Positive experience: Great staff, available parking space ( pay parking ) The Service was just Ok. I have visited different dentist services. This one was for some reason miss provide a bag of goodies after cleaning. Special my kids were expecting a bag like before with: Travel toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, mouth-flux, On the cleaning section, What I can said, I wish they were able to clean a litter harder.

Negative experience: My hygienist was excellent however this is my second visit to Belknap and I chose this practice because my last dentist of 5 years did not have enough staff to clean my teeth every six months. I was shocked when I went to make my Six month appt and was unable to pushing me out to 8 months for a cleaning which was the soonest appt which is unacceptable. Time to find a new dentist again. My hygenist is great and she is leaving also.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff here is competent, courteous, and caring. I’ve stayed away from dental care for too long and they are easing me back into the fold. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Dr. Jefferson Kim. Up to date knowledge and techniques. Patient with my anxiety. Clear in his communication. And the best shot-giver ever. Seriously, don’t be afraid. Dr. Kim and his assistant, Abby, work so seamlessly together that they hardly have to speak. If you’re having some issues and need a place to take great care of you, come here!!! So good, I sent flowers.

Fantastic experience: Been patient since Dr Chaiken started on Belknap street around 1965 or so. Can honestly say never been disappointed with the practice. Dr Chaiken the best and Dr Dubanowski aptly fills his shoes. Best around. Molly the hygienist was incredibly caring and thorough. Given my medical condition, I could not be more pleased with the visit. Thanks to all.

Negative experience: AVOID especially Dr. Frank Manchester. I had a filling done at this location with a different doctor who left the Belknap. After I had that filling, tooth and changed have not felt right since. I called for an appointment to have them look at it again and they had me see Frank who told me that the issue has nothing to do with my tooth and that I need psychiatric mediation! Absolutely shocking behavior. AVOID belknap and AVOID Frank.

Fantastic experience: Belknap Dental has always been accommodating when I've needed an appointment to address an unexpected dental issue. I recently chipped a tooth and they were able to get me in quickly to fix it. I appreciate the compassionate approach that I have always received at Belknap Dental.

Fantastic experience: I love Belknap Dental. For the first time in my life, going to the dentist isn't scary. I have always had anxiety when it comes to dental care and I had a gap in dental coverage before coming to Belknap. I needed a couple fillings and a good cleaning before settling into a regular - every 6 month - cleaning schedule. Now when I leave Belknap, I feel good about the health of my teeth and with each positive experience, my anxiety diminishes. Everyone I've worked with has been kind and caring. My dentist is Dr. Latsilnik. He's gentle, caring, and thorough. He also has a more laid back demeanor that helps ease my anxiety. My usual hygienist is Pamela Macdonald. She is so sweet and gentle. She takes her time answering all of my questions and concerns. I can tell she genuinely cares about her job and she has so much knowledge when it comes to dental care.

Fantastic experience: Lindsay P. was awesome. I am petrified of dental anything and she was fast and accommodated my fear by numbing my gums before poking around. Also I couldn't believe she looks exactly like Julia Stiles. I was treated by a celebrity! Dr D was only in the room for a short time but very professional and explained options to me clearly. Being as scared as I am and almost canceling my appointment, I'd give my visit a 10 out of 10.
