Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several dentists in the past this one by far is the most professional and I enjoyed the way they put you at ease very very thorough. Fantastic experience: So far it was a great experience! I had my first dental cleaning and check up appointment here and the staff and dentist were all very sweet and kind. They made sure they knew all my concerns and informed me what I should do about them, as well as offered solutions. The office is very clean and inviting as well!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Darby is wonderful I accidentally pulled a filling out on a Friday and their office was closed that day for training! I panicked! It was uncomfortable! And I tried calling her office and got back ( I guess because of caller ID) a text from her office so I responded with my current situation details and left my work phone number…kinda not really expecting to hear from them because of their training day.., meanwhile I made another “emergency dental appt. With another provider knowing that it would be a long painful weekend with that filling missing… I left work early to make my emergency apt at 11:00 am and after I had left work… received a voicemail back from Dr. Darby saying give me a call back even though her office had already closed for the day and she allowed me to come on in and put a temporary filling in to ease the pain until I could be back in during regular office hours! Wow! Who does that! She saved me a ton of $$$$ I’m sure too! But the fact that she met me there and fixed my lil emergency on a Friday was beyond impressive! Thank you Dr. Darby!!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit as I have just moved recently. The office staff is very kind and friendly, as was my hygienist. She was thorough and exhibited professionalism throughout. My dentist, Dr. Darby, was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. She was though and very professional as well. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting room and office. The music in the office was soothing. It was only my first visit, but first impressions mean a great deal and I am happy to have found my dentist!

Fantastic experience: Another visit to my favorite dentist on 10/01/25 for xrays and cleaning at their new location next to Taco Bell on Winchester Rd. They also did a follow-up evaluation of my periodontal gum disease treated by laser a year ago. All went well and no infection. I highly recommend this procedure in lieu of the highly invasive (and painful) root canal. Many thanks to Dr Darby and her skilled staff. Another 5-star visit. Got my new crown on 2/18/25. Yay! Perfect fit. Short wait time and cheerful, caring staff as usual. Still my go-to dentist. Many thanks Dr. Darby and Sarah.‍♂️ My latest visit on Jan 9 2025 was 5-star as usual. Wait time was less than 5 minutes for a thorough cleaning. Dr Darby was pleased with the results of the periodontal laser procedure from last August. This is definitely my go-to place for any dental work. Friendly staff. Very little wait time when I arrived - less than 10 minutes. They use a digital x-ray system that's much more detailed than x-ray film and faster. The Dr gave a thorough exam of a front tooth that I was worried had fractured. But she determined it had only surface crazing in the enamel--yay. Looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend them for your dental needs. My 2nd visit on July 3rd for cleaning and xrays again went well. Very short wait time. The dental hygienist was cheerful and did a great thorough job. Walked out with a much cleaner smile. I had laser periodontal work done on Aug 8, 2024 in lieu of root canal to remove bacteria decay around the roots. Dr. Darby is certified in periodontal laser technology and the procedure was totally painless. Infinitely better than root canal that removes gum tissue and far less expensive.There was no pain afterwards but I had to follow a liquid and "mushy" diet for a few days. Absolutely satisfied with their expert care and cheerful staff. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient that’s needing extensive work done and I have been very pleased with Dr Darby. The staff are very friendly, happy spirited, and helpful. My biggest issue with going to a dentist office has always been finding an office with a good hygienist. I can’t say enough good things about my hygienist Jennifer or the other assistants that I have had during my procedures!

Negative experience: Do not use this place. They will lie to your face. They had me scheduled for an extraction. Very simple process. They asked me about a root canal and provided information. I looked into the process and after all negative reviews and costs I decided to stick with getting the tooth pulled. They called to confirm two days out and sent confirmation emails and texts. No issues. One day before I was called and told that since they’d given me a referral I would have to call them instead. This is after waiting, in pain, for six weeks. I asked for specifics on why they couldn’t keep my appointment and they said it was just “something” in the paperwork. This office clearly cares about nothing beyond a patients profitability. If there was an issue seeing me why did I receive multiple confirmations? Ask yourself, do you want to trust your dental care to an office that would lie to your face, cancel you at the last minute, and do this with no care about what pain you’re in? Now ask yourself would you trust that office with the care of a loved one? Save yourself the trouble. Never got to this place ever.

I really appreciate that the dentist and assistant (I apologize as I’m still new to Flint River Dental so I don’t know names yet) were quick and professional while replacing an old filling and filling in two smaller ones that had been on “watch” status for quite some time prior. What I thought would take an hour in the chair only took 30 minutes and I was on my way. Grace explained the process fully and made sure I knew the costs associated with the implant. I originally rescheduled my appointment in May, and then a tech was out for my visit yesterday — but they made it work today! So thankful for their effort and flexibility.

My only critique; it took the Dentist almost 40 minutes to see me after the cleaning and X-ray. Maybe it was due to my being a new patient. My past experience with the Dentist concerning with the patient after the hygienist is done; was far less time. Overall, a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I started my dentist visits to Flint River (Dr. Darby) short she opened her office and I have been going there every since. I am very pleased with the work and recommendations that's given.Dr Darby is an excellent dentist and she has a great staff who are alway courteous, friendly and caring. Negative experience: I wish I had read the negative reviews first. First of all, let me say everyone there are super nice except one employee who I won't name. A mistake was made on my dentures and one worker who is not the dentist kept trying to fix them but made them worse. She would argue with me when I tried to say something on how they felt. She acted like "I'm the expert, you're not so I'm going to do what I need to do and shut up", she doesn't know what the dentures felt like to me and what I felt needed to be fixed. She wouldn't listen to any input I might have so I just kept quiet while she destroyed my dentures. Not only would she argue about my dentures she would argue about anything I said, one of the most unpleasant people I have ever met, I sure hope I never meet anyone like her again. She was rude beyond belief.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Flint River Dental for now starting my 7th year. There is no one better than Dr. Darby and her staff. Very professional, educated, compassionate and have high standards for providing their patients with the best care. Not to mention Dr Darby does mission work for patients who are truly in need. If you feel you are too embarrassed or overwhelmed to go, give them a try. This is absolutely a judge free environment. Oral health is important and is met w awesome people that keep you focused on that.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Darby is simply the best with our 13 year old son Max. Our son had been seeing a different pediatric dentist (not Dr. Darby) since he had teeth - and out of the blue within a 6 month span, all of these issues suddenly appeared with his teeth that he could not handle. I'm talking root canal level :-(. Worse, he blamed my son for something he himself (the dentist) had not seen coming. We saw five different dentists before seeing Dr. Darby and the minute we met her and her staff we knew we had found our dental home. She and her staff are just incredible with everyone, including my very dental-phobic son. Where the other dentist had shamed my son and made him cry (even though my son religiously brushes and flosses his teeth), Dr. Darby stepped in and eased his fears and immediately got an action plan together. She and her staff are so great at what they do and just great human beings all the way around. My son's teeth are finally getting the attention they need (and should have been getting all along from his previous dentist). I literally have thanked God for her, and my son no longer even needs to listen to music to distract himself during her procedures. Also, what has taken other dentists hours and hours to do, Dr. Darby has done in an hours' time. She is efficient and kind and, of course most importantly, the best dentist. I can't recommend her highly enough and wish there were more like her in the world. She's the best. I wish we could give her 100 stars.

Fantastic experience: Today’s initial Visit to Flint River dental was enjoyable as much as a teeth cleaning can be, my dental hygienist was friendly and proficient in her work. I was impressed with the service and the friendliest of all the workers, can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic experience: I knocked a crown loose and was able to have it re-installed quickly. They were concerned about any pain I may have while waiting the brief time for my appointment. I was pain free but they made sure I knew I could call anytime for immediate relief. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I am pleased to report they have hand held x-ray “guns” (so cool ) that make getting the x-ray even more convenient than before. Their tech upgrade also includes the ability to pay while resting in the chair using a hand held card reader ( offered as a convenience but not required). They take a wide range of insurance as a convenience for their patients. I highly recommend Flint River dental.

Negative experience: I called to make an appointment after my crown broke over the weekend, but the process was unnecessarily complicated. The website instructs you to call the office to schedule, but when I did, I was told to fill out a form online and wait for the appointment team to contact me. I followed the instructions, but since the office closed at 2 PM on Monday, no one addressed my inquiry until Tuesday morning. Closing early on a Monday—especially after a holiday weekend when people may have urgent dental issues—seems poorly planned. After submitting the initial form on Monday, I received a link on Tuesday morning to complete even more paperwork. This message also stated that someone would get back to me within 1-2 business days to schedule the actual appointment. For a broken crown that’s already out of my mouth, waiting that long just to schedule is completely unacceptable. I decided to move on to another provider who could offer care in a timely manner. Perhaps I could have been seen sooner, but I wasn’t willing to gamble with such an inefficient system. The only reason I gave two stars is because the person I spoke to on the phone was polite. However, the conflicting instructions, delayed response time, and the additional paperwork without even securing an appointment all point to deeper issues with their process. No, thank you! Final thoughts…. Forcing people to your website is ridiculous, not everyone is savvy with technology and some do not have access to the internet; therefore, you should not assume that they do. Answer a phone and schedule the appointment!

Fantastic experience: Dr Amy and Mrs Lesley were so incredibly patient with my 5 year old son. They sang to him, make him feel great about what was happening, and gave him time to get adjusted. They were amazing!
