Fantastic experience: Grand Family Dentistry has been excellent! Today, when I arrived with my crown in hand, they were able to fit me into the schedule 45 minutes before they closed. X-rays were taken and it was determined that the crown just needed to be re-cemented. Excellent service as always!!

I wasn’t able to see my wonderful ‘usual’ dentist, but I was very, very happy with Dr Luke and, as someone who has been in healthcare management for most of my life, I was also extremely impressed with the effectiveness of the team.

I had a dental issue that needed care on the same day I called, as I was heading out of town the next morning. They squeezed me in for a procedure that should have taken 15 minutes but due to complications it was over an hour and a half. Even though it required Dr Baumgartner working after closing, he fixed the issue and took excellent care of me. Just the absolute best!!!

I called and they got her in quickly and the prepared her for a new crown and put a temporary crown on the tooth. Everything went smoothly and now my mom can continue to smile.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Astrid was amazing from her bedside manners to her knowledge. Coming from someone who was traumatized by her last dental experience elsewhere, I feel like this will be my forever dentist. I live 2 hours from her office and after one appointment and the comfort I felt when leaving her office, I can honestly say I’d drive further if I had to just to have her as my dentist. I can’t wait for my next appointment to finally have the smile I want, with the help of Dr. Astrid!

Negative experience: I went in for a cleaning and exam. I Have sensitive gums and asked to have a topical anesthesia put on my just gums for the cleaning. The hygienist used too much topical anesthesia in my mouth and I wound up having 3 episodes of choking as my tongue, lips and throat were completely numb. I have never had this happen to me before! The third choking episode was pretty frightening! I will not be returning.

But the level of empathy and compassion she had was unmatched. Positive experience: This was my third or perhaps fourth visit to Grand Family Dentistry, and, as with my previous experiences, the service I received was both friendly and professional. However, this visit was also my wife’s first experience with the practice, and unfortunately, her experience did not meet the same standard of friendliness and professionalism that I have come to expect. (Cheri was great to both my wife and I.) I wish I could attribute this to an off day for the staff, but since we were there at the same time for the same service, and her experience was so markedly different from mine, it raises concerns. I am reluctant to suggest this, but the only discernible difference between us is our skin color. I hope this is not the reason for the disparity, but if so, it is deeply troubling and must be addressed. Grand Family Dentistry has an opportunity to do better, and I urge the practice to ensure consistency and fairness for all patients moving forward.
