Positive experience: Everyone is very nice. I had a newer employee who was a little green and needed help around the room but that's okay. The cleaning rooms need some TLC stains on the wall and broken drawers not a big deal. My only gripe is that they do not take debit or credit card without charging a processing fee? I was told to go to get cash and I wouldn't have to pay the fee, strange. Not sure if I'll continue going because of this but am waiting to see what my wife thinks. Overall a good experience but could have been better.

Fantastic experience: I had my cleaning with Winchell, and she was the best!! It was the most pain free, comfortable, thorough cleaning I have ever had. Winchell answered all of the questions I had and was very pleasant to talk with. I was a new patient and had a previous bad experience with a dentist, and Winchell went out of her way to make me comfortable. I highly recommend this practice, and definitely ask for Winchell as your hygienist!!

Fantastic experience: Wow. I really cannot say enough good things about the people that I have come into contact with at Goodyear Family Dentistry! I cannot remember everyone’s name but I definitely want to shout out Karen (Treatment Coordinator), Giselle, Dr McDowell, Brenda (Hygenist), and the 2 women that took the X-Rays. I didn’t feel like I was at the dentist. They made it feel more like a party! Also, there was no waiting time and things were done quickly. They even have reasonable payment plans to ease the financial burden. The gift bag was a nice touch, too. Thank you Team!

Negative experience: Im being charged $150 for canceling my appointment due to being under a government shut down. How sad is that! Literally explained to them I haven’t been paid and needed to wait till I got paid before making an appointment! Let’s just make up charges for someone who is apologizing for not being paid during a shut down smh! Let’s ignore all money I’ve invested here over the last couple of years! No respect!

Fantastic experience: I always look forward to my appointments because the staff is very friendly even if I meet someone new. They always take extra care of making sure everything runs smoothly. I’ve never experienced this type of great customer service so much so that even after moving further away I still rather drive to Goodyear Family Dentistry.

Everyone explains everything in detail and dont make you feel like its an in and out thing. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and in a safe space. HIGHLY recommend coming here. Negative experience: Updated Review 9/8/2025: Today, I was given 2 options by Goodyear Family Dentistry: 1) remove my negative google review and continue orthodontic treatment or 2) don't remove my review and they would discontinue treatment. These options were not given in an email or over the phone or in a text. For 3 weeks, I had a confirmed orthodontist appointment with Goodyear Family Dentistry. They even asked me to confirm that I would make it to my orthodontist appointment 1 week ago and I said yes I would make it. Today, I drove to their location, waited in their waiting area, and was escorted to an orthodontist chair to wait for my new invisalign braces, only to be met with the office manager who gave me the 2 options I listed (remove the review, or else we'll stop treatment). Why did you make me wait 3 weeks, drive to your location, sit in an orthodontic chair, just to tell me that I either remove my review or I won't receive orthodontic treatment? This makes 2 times I've been deceived by this practice during this ordeal. This is not an appropriate way to treat a patient, or anyone for that matter. You wasted my time and money on a drive that was unnecessary. The appointment was for getting invisalign braces, not to be coerced into removing my negative google review. Original Review 8/21/2025: I came to this office expecting comprehensive Invisalign treatment (upper and lower teeth straightening) because that’s what I had originally requested and what my bill stated I had paid for. Instead, only a limited invisalign case (lower teeth straightening only) had been ordered. Mistakes can happen, and I could have overlooked that. What I cannot overlook is how the front office manager handled it. She first told me I hadn’t ordered comprehensive. When I showed her the bill I already paid for that clearly said “comprehensive,” she tried to redefine it as “comprehensive for the lower teeth.” That is not what comprehensive means in orthodontics. I have generally been satisfied with the clinical care here, which is why I am giving this office 2 stars, but the front office manager gaslighting a patient to cover for their office's mistake is inexcusable.

Negative experience: The atmosphere was very friendly, service was good. I was told at the time of service (July, 2023) that the payment I made was my payment in full. I just received a bill, my FIRST bill, 2 years later (July, 2025). Let me reiterate that at the time of service, I was advised that I had paid in full. The new bill, 2 years later, says I am over 90 days late. Keep in mind, this is my first bill. I called to find out why Ian receiving this bill and when I asked about the 90 days late I was told I needed to speak with a manager, then hung up on. I called back and was put into hold limbo until I gave up.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointments today at Goodyear Family Denistry. The staff starting at the front desk was very friendly & professional. I dealt with Geisel, Brenda, Nancy and Dr. Wheeler while there. They took their time to answer my questions as they evaluated my dental needs and proposed a reasonable treatment plan. Goodyear Family Denistry will become my family’s choice for dental care in the future.

Positive experience: Had the hygienist somehow get water around my neck and down the back my shirt. Then apply fluoride to six porcelain front teeth and coat my lips so I left with white sticky paste on my lips. Then had an exam with someone new. Not sure of their position or name. I would have liked to have seen X-rays and photos and an explanation of treatment plan with a Dr.

Negative experience: I usually don’t leave reviews, but my recent visit to this dental office was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to share. I had one of the most frustrating experiences at this dental office. I was scheduled for a procedure that required medication beforehand — something I was very clear about when booking the appointment. Tina even confirmed this during a phone call a few days before. I took time off work, arranged for someone to drive me, and showed up on time, only to find out that they forgot to order the medication. The receptionist casually told me, “It’s the pharmacy’s fault,” like it was no big deal. No apology, no urgency. This wasn’t a small oversight. This was a major screw-up that wasted my time, caused unnecessary stress, and completely disrupted my schedule. I expected professionalism, not this level of disorganization. If a dental office can’t handle something as critical as ordering required medication, I don’t trust them with my care. I was also shocked to find out this dental office charges an extra fee just for using a debit card to pay my bill. In today’s world, that’s completely unreasonable—especially when most people don’t carry cash anymore. There was no prior notice about this fee before taking my payment. I came here expecting professional service, not to be nickeled and dimed over basic payment methods. Finally right after my procedure I’m recommended a cleaning. Expecting a standard cleaning. Instead, I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would cost several hundred dollars—with my dual insurance coverage. There was no transparency about costs beforehand, It felt more like a sales pitch than a medical recommendation. When I asked about alternatives or coverage options, I was met with vague responses and pressure to schedule the procedure anyway. I left feeling taken advantage of. Dental care should be about patient health, not pushing expensive services that aren’t covered. I won’t be returning, and I suggest others ask a lot of questions before agreeing to anything here.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist, especially a new one. I have to say that my visit today was amazing. From the friendliness of the ladies at the front desk to the soothing nature of the person who did my x-rays and the humorous hygienist it was a great experience. The dentist is personable and made a point to listen to my concerns. I will definitely be back and would recommend this business.

Fantastic experience: I have a difficult time at th dentist as a result of terrible dentist when I was young. Dr Zaykov pulled a tooth and recently gave me a crown. He is so nice and gentle and does an excellent job. I will always go back to him.

Negative experience: I visited this dental office and was initially impressed by the friendly and professional staff. Everyone was welcoming and made me feel at ease throughout my visit. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and inviting, which made me feel confident that I was in good hands. However, my experience took a turn when I sought a second opinion after the dentist recommended a series of treatments that seemed excessive. After visiting another reputable dentist, I was shocked to find out that many of the suggested procedures were unnecessary. The second dentist confirmed that only a couple of the treatments were truly needed, as I had originally suspected. This situation left me feeling deceived and frustrated. While the staff at the office were wonderful, the fact that I was potentially being overcharged thousands for treatments that I didn’t need is incredibly concerning. I expect transparency and honesty from healthcare providers, and unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case here. While the clinic has an excellent team, the questionable business practices have left me hesitant to return. It’s essential for any dental practice to prioritize the well-being of their patients above all else, and this experience has made me question whether that’s truly the case here. I would advise anyone visiting to get a second opinion before committing to any recommended treatments.

Negative experience: Dr vega is amazing staff is friendly and personable.i will stand by that .But unfortunately i had 3 fillings done recently in wich i am absolutely positive 2 of them who were performwd by Dr mcdowell were not done with best quality of care as i had to have 1 extracted because the whole side of my face swelled up and i was in pain from immediately after until i had it pulled and a root canal performed on the other one she did .So im stuck paying for a filling that was yanked out a month later in wich i was charged again to extract it.the 3rd tooth i had filled Dr mcdowell had an assistant actually apply the filling and what do you know not a single problem with it..Upon complaining i was given the run around and not treated fairly in my opinion wich would have been a partial refund at least for those 2 teeth..I lost a whole tooth that surely could have been saved had I been given proper care and instruction originally.I also recently found out i have been charged more than the portion i should have been after insurance portion was coveredon multille occasions upon raising this concern i have been ignored regarding the overcharges .A complaint has been file with the board and i may seek lwgal action as well.very sad as i trustedthem completely..Not smart on my part i guess..

Negative experience: Hygienist and dentist were pretty good, as good as any other. Office seems to be driven by $$$$ Had enough dental work done in my life to know that charging an extra $200 for a procedure that is not necessary nor covered by insurance again because it’s not necessary on top of the cost of a crown was one hint. Pushing me to get a periodontal maintenance cleaning before it was approved by my insurance was another. When the office automatically puts a new crown on the treatment plan after having root canal therapy done, even though their dentist said my crown was good and the referred root canal specialist did as well is another. How about them choosing a new system to take debit/credit card payments and then making the customer pay the 3.5% fee? Oh, and I love the 48 hour cancellation warning charging $50 per hour. That’s a new one too.

Not only was the appointment process seem less, but the service and care extended was unmatched across all my history of dental practice experiences. They not only got to the root of my issues, but explained how they were impacting me. Also, they went the extra mile to ensure I got a referral to ensure there were no larger issues to address before getting me the solution for my teeth I needed! Thank you Dr. Vega!

Fantastic experience: The staff are all friendly and helpful. I was there six months ago for a checkup as a new patient, and a week or so later for a cleaning. Went back today and the front desk staff greeted me by name. My dental tech was Ashley, and she's excellent. She explains what she's about to do, and it was a pain-free experience. The dentist was personable and seems to care about each patient. I'm glad I found Goodyear Family Dentistry, and plan to stay with them for the long term.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I have been going to Goodyear Family Dentistry for several years. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and professional. Billing is always explained in advance of a procedure. I am put at ease during my visit, and I believe they genuinely care about me and providing the best service possible.

Fantastic experience: I first must say that like many people a visit to the dentist sends my anxiety through the roof. However my experience at Goodyear Dentristy and specifically with Dr. Wheeler was so so different from the moment I walked in the door. The front staff was super courteous and friendly. They really made me feel relaxed. When I was in the chair with Dr. Wheeler I honestly didn't feel like I was at the dentist. The first significant thing I noticed was how I never felt the needle he used to numb my gums. And later after I left I had no slurred speech. I received an implant and Dr. Wheeler was meticulous and patient as we adjusted the fit. This was bar none the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I really can't say enough about my experience. Let me also mention the gentle and informative assistants. They were great too. I guess I don't have to say that I talk a lot lol. But its all true for me. At each level of service Dr. Wheeler and all the other staff treated me with dignity and respect. Great experience. I previously had a horrible experience at a different dental office, which caused me to avoid going to the dentist for an entire year. I came to Goodyear Family Dentistry scared and hopeless, thinking I couldn’t be helped. Goodyear Family Dentistry has been nothing but kind and attentive. They provided the patient care and reassurance I had been desperately seeking. They repaired fillings that had been causing me pain for over a year. They were gentle and patient. Thank you, Dr. Vega, for everything you do! And a big shout-out to all the assistants there as well!

Fantastic experience: It's been years since I been back to see a dentist due to dental anxiety and maybe even a case of dentophobia. I received terribly painful treatment throughout my childhood and teenage hood years. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of the folks that took such great care of me just yet but I will get that figured out by seeing them a lot in the near future. I will edit this review to drop names/job titles soon to show my gratitude to the awesome people that worked with me. This review is for the people out there that are like me, they're very gentle, compassionate, and kind! I can honestly say that I am looking forward to my next dentist visit.

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to Goodyear Family Dentistry. And my overall experience was awesome! From the atmosphere to the most friendliest staff I've ever seen in a while, In my case I came in for X-rays and a cleaning. If you have any issues or concerns they will address them with transparency and in a caring way. I think I've just found my go to Dentistry for life.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give a very huge and sincere thank you to the staff at Goodyear Family Dentistry. Omg, where do I begin! Ok Dr.McDowell wasn't doctor. I had to come in to get a tooth extracted and was extremely nervous and afraid. Although I am a 48 year old woman, I never experienced anything othere than a few fillings. She was very patient and kind , as I know I wore her out with the numerous questions I had. she was very attentive and made me feel so comfortable and re assured me that everything was going to be alright. Her assistant ( I call her my guardian angel Esther was so sweet and calming. I must have asked her over 20 times about what I would feel and if it was going to hurt and she was such a sweetheart . I just had to leave a review to assure anyone who is looking for the absolute Best Dental office in the Goodyear area of the Top Tier Service that I endured at my visit. I can not thank the team enough. another special thank you Tina The office manager and the beautiful ladies (The Dream Team) who also assisted in making sure I not only understood the maintenance after the extraction, but also for me together when it came to making upcoming appointments. From my paranoid and frantic call at the last minute (Paola) was so professional and sweet in making sure I would be seen within minutes of my call. The other ladies Karen and Adrie made me smile while also assuring everything would be fine and assured the recovery would be swift and " a piece of cake". Fantastic experience: I used to dread visiting the dentist, but this office goes above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience! Staff is kind and welcoming and the dentists are very friendly. I got treatment done by Dr. McDowell and her assistant Clarissa today and they were wonderful. Zero pain or discomfort!

Fantastic experience: My first time visit was amazing went in to get a second option and they told me I only need two new crowns and my crown I have now it hasn't been a year yet and it needs to be replaced and I have 4 cavity fillings so all this they got me scheduled for the next 3 weeks and I'm getting it all done before Aug 1st. It's really cool how they make your crowns there in the office you just got to give them at least 3hrs of your time. My Hygienist was amazing Magul was amazing also I normally hate getting my teeth cleaned and yesterday it was really nice that it didn't hurt well he was doing it. The office staff was amazing they helped me get carecredit so I could pay for all my stuff so I could get scheduled for everything yesterday. The dr was amazing to she was very nice and showed me which teeth needed what and why she said they needed it

Negative experience: Be sure to ask plenty of questions about procedures and appointments. I felt very coerced about scheduling an appointment and could figure out why until I was made aware that appointment cancellations cost $50/hr. And when they ask if you would like an appointment card, take it! Their idea of text message reminders is having the bot/software send a text 7 min after your appointment starts. The Cherry on top is that when I asked the Dr. (Not Wheeler) About the mix up with the appointment, the response was somewhat dismissive... "Idk, that would be something to ask the patient connections dept" - Im paraphrasing but you get the idea. Stay vigilant out there. Every quack is trying to make themselves seem important especially with their time and money!

Fantastic experience: My First time here was wonderful! I loved the friendly atmosphere and staff! Ricardo took excellent care of me while cleaning my teeth and politely informing me that my teeth were fooked up and i need some further care The lovely receptionist Karen gave me a plan moving forward on my oral care journey, and I’m looking forward to returning so I can get back to having healthy and fully functional teeth!

Fantastic experience: Came in as a first time patient I was impressed with the reviews so I decided to make an appointment as I am needing a place to regularly come to for my cleanings. I saw Ashley who was my hygienist she was so funny and sweet made my visit a fun experience along with Edith who took my x-rays and assisted in getting me started. I met Dr. Wheeler who was informative and has a good sense of humor. Adrie was helpful and kind when helping make my next appointment. Fantastic experience: I was visiting my daughter's family when my tooth abscessed. Dr Wheeler and staff took me in and removed the infected tissues. Many thanks to a great team that assured a four day road trip back home went comfortably.
