Negative experience: BEWARE: Utilized the online booking platform to schedule an orthodontist consultation on Monday, January 12, 2026 and received a confirmation text the same day. Today, I received a text to confirm the appointment, which I did. The response I received: Hi XXXXXXXX! Thank you for booking online for an ortho consultation. Unfortunately, we are not able to see you this upcoming Monday for a consultation as there are patients already scheduled at that time. Our next available day is Wednesday, January 21 at 2 PM. If you are wanting an appointment that is much later in the day, we can see you Monday, January 26 at 4:45 PM. Let us know what works best! :) -Thrive Dental and Orthodontics - Frisco I called the location and was informed the nine system double booked the orthodontist. As a result of the terrible technology and customer service, Thrive will not receive any business from me.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to this office, and the staff was very nice. Although I had some cavities, Dr. Leem was very thorough and did a very good job of ensuring I was comfortable during the procedure.

Positive experience: Everyone is friendly and I loved my Ortho, Anisha, who I believe moved. But scheduling gets annoying. Their system would delete your appointment if you didn’t text back. Now they changed it to you have to CALL them to confirm or they delete your appointment. Very annoying. I came once for a crown and I need nitrogen for my anxiety and the machine wasn’t working. I came once to get new retainers and when I came to pick it up, they lost the new retainer! So I came back to do it again and when I returned to pick it up, they said the ortho staff are the only ones who know how to do it even though the dental assistant who helped me told me to just wait 20 minutes to pick up. Like — it’s just random annoyances that happen here so I’m going to look elsewhere. But the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Negative experience: I was incredibly disappointed with my visit to Thrive. I went in seeking help for severe tooth pain. After spending 45 minutes receiving x-rays and having all of my teeth evaluated, the doctor was unsure which tooth needed a root canal and insisted on referring me to an endodontist (who was unable to treat me for another week) even though I was in horrible pain and told the dentist how bad the pain was. Even after this, they tried to get me to do an in depth teeth cleaning that day. The entire staff had poor bedside manner and it seemed as though nobody cared about the level of pain I was in. I was luckily able to find a much better office who was able to treat my tooth same day and resolve the issue. I will never return to Thrive or refer anyone I know here.

The doctors are amazing and always makes sure you have all your questions answered and the knowledge to take care of your teeth health. I always recommend them to friends and family.

After visiting three different dental offices, Thrive was the clear winner. The Frisco location is beautiful, spotless, and very kid-friendly. My child loved the screens everywhere, and their digital paperwork made everything quick and convenient. The stylish décor also creates such a relaxing atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place that combines great pricing, amazing staff, and truly high-quality care, but Thrive Dentistry delivers all of it.

Fantastic experience: Thrive Dental in Frisco took excellent care of my family and I. They were very detailed in the cleaning and in the treatment plan. I didn’t feel like I needed to take action right away and they told me the risk of how long to wait etc. I appreciate when dentists don’t always try to upsell on additional ‘cosmetic’ options, it makes me feel respected and in turn I respect them more. Fantastic experience: Literally the most bougie dental office I’ve ever seen! They offer coffee, La Croix, and water in the waiting area. The front desk was very professional when I discussed my new dental insurance with them. I went in for a semi annual cleaning and got to watch Netflix, as they did a phenomenal job. Every nook and cranny was scraped clean by Salam- a fantastic hygienist. Thank you Dr. Cao for investing your time with my teeth and all of my worries. Wonderful ladies here! No complaints will be back in 6 months. :) Great place!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time visiting Thrive. I scheduled my appointment prior to the knowledge that they accept kids too. The receptionist went above and beyond to accommodate me and my daughter to be seen together on the same day. Staff is super friendly and professional. Office is super clean, not too busy. They have a wonderful kids area for them to wait. Dentist was very thorough and friendly as well.

Fantastic experience: I came here for my Invisalign and fell in love with the Drs and staff so I am now a full thrive patient. They took care of my needs and looked out for my best interest. They are truly the best. They offer the best customer service and the office is clean and modern.

Negative experience: After mentioning three times in a row towards different people that I can not do a deep cleaning today due to previous experience and want a regular cleaning. They list it as deep cleaning. When I trying to get regular cleaning instead or even just remove stain, they were not able to help without a deep cleaning. I understand that you have your protocol, but after I mentioned it three times, no one comes up to me saying I can not get what I came for after 1 hour in the clinic. The communication is one-way and lacking UPDATE: After checking the reviews here, this “deep cleaning “ is a common thing.

Fantastic experience: I am an existing patient however, this morning I had a crown pop off and I went to the Dentist without an appointment. They were able to get me back in 20 minutes. Wonderful service and care.

Negative experience: Dr. David not only ruined the tooth that he performed the root-canal on but also ruined the tooth above it by shaving it. When I tried to contact Thrive-Frisco, they would not take responsibility for it; and was just informed that Dr. David no longer works at Thrive-Frisco (probably got fired for gross negligent and incompetence).

The procedure felt careful and precise and I felt comfortable the whole time. I always struggled with being comfortable during cavity treatments but this time it felt like the easiest thing ever! The whole team is great from reception to assistants to the lead doctor! Blankets and pillows plus a show to watch are already amazing for everyone and I'm so thankful they offer those options. If younger kids are struggling with these procedures I would suggest providing forms of comfort like squishies if they dont have a parent present to have their hand held. Overall best dentist experience I've ever had!

Fantastic experience: I don’t normally have good experiences at the dentist. My nerves are always very high on the day of my appointment. When I walked in the young lady at the front was so welcoming and warm, the nurse who took me back was Olivia, I think she could tell I was nervous and she did a great job of making sure I was comfortable with a blanket and walked me through what I could expect during my visit. Dr. Liu did my exam and actually pulled up my X-rays on the tv to show me what it was she was seeing which I can appreciate especially in today’s world of shady dentists. I will most definitely be back!

They definitely work with you financially and their customer service is the best I have ever received out of all of the dental offices I have visited. I am a forever patient here. Fantastic experience: I recently visited Thrive as a new patient. Had what I thought was just 1 missing filling. It turned into a battery of things. Deep cleaning, root canal and 6 additional fillings. Obviously my teeth were in poor shape. The entire staff, who it felt like all had a hand in getting my teeth back in order, were all amazing and extremely caring. Due to an extremely short time window they took care of all of the work in a single afternoon which was exhausting for all of us. But throughout the entire time they were making sure I was ok and comfortable or if I needed a break in between procedures. I am deeply appreciative and grateful of the entire experience and only wish I had come in sooner. I can't thank all of you enough.

Negative experience: Not happy with their service lately. Many of the staff are inexperienced and do not treat the patients well. Many do not know what they are doing!! It took a good 45 minutes to take X-ray for one basic cleaning appointment and made us miss an other appointment which was very important. Can’t wait to get out this practice. Do not recommend at all!!

Positive experience: I’m a new patient. I was here for 5 hours (10-2:45); that’s a little to long; however, I’m hopeful next time won’t be so long. Dr Leem is a perfectionist and I really like that. He was assisted by King and he seemed very competent. When I return I only want them to work on me. Here’s to a beautiful smile!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Lu, Ximena are both awesome. I came to them after a horrible experience with the endodontist. They took the time to walk through recommendations for care and next steps. I felt the value. Plus, their advice help me save money. I appreciate the dedication.

Positive experience: I wanted to like this place because the dentists and staff are friendly but their communication and failure to make a mold for teeth whitening has me not coming back again. I came in for this free service with my fiancé the first time, which mind you it is not pleasant. (They fill your mouth with this wet clay and let it dry after) When he went to pick them up, it turned out my mold broke. They did not tell us this ahead of time. Then they also only sent him home with his mold and none of the syringes or instructions, but rescheduled me for a second time to get this re-done. The person who did it again said she was in charge and shouldnt break. So I said oh well mistakes happen I’ll try again. Tells me I could even come pick it up sane day but I did not have time as I had to work but even the girl up front said they’d text with an update and never did.. so when I come to pick it up a whole week later- the mold was broken again! And once again did not communicate before pick up. Throughout my time here they also called me three times to collect my insurance that has not changed and kept saying they needed “new information” when it was never new. Therefore, I’m done wasting my time here.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very knowledgeable and nice. I like how they discuss what they are going to do and why they are doing it. I feel they take their time cleaning my family’s teeth. We left our previous dentist since 2015 because how of a great job Thrive did in cleaning our teeth. Fantastic experience: This was my first dental and I can say that it was the best, I am so glad I came to this place for my first dental experience and the people was so nice welcoming mostly Bibi, she was so helpful with everything. And they have special treatment like giving blanket, pillow while watching Netflix.overall everything was excellent I really recommend this place definitely recommend.

Negative experience: This used to be a good dental practice but last year, I noticed awful changes, which has led me to not only leave here as a patient, but took time to write this review, which I rarely do. In general, the dentists juggle too many patients at the same time to adequately perform their job and are almost negligent in handling patient communication. There is also a TON of turnover (in the 4 years I went there, I never saw a single dentist twice) which, to me, is symptomatic of troublesome management. If you're looking at 5 star reviews, note that many of them are old and incentivized. A more detailed review of my experience follows. I had a cleaning appointment where I was informed I would need a crown on a tooth they had been watching for a while (I was never told they were watching this tooth-I wish I had known so I could be extra careful cleaning it). Initially, I told them I would do the crown at a different location since I had moved away from Frisco. When I said this, the practice manager showed up and tried to convince me to do it that day. It felt uncomfortable to be "sold to" but I agreed to save on time. Unfortunately, the dentist was clearly juggling MANY patients at the same time, which is why my appointment took almost 3 hrs. At one time, she put the numbing gel and left for so long that the numbing wore off. Then she said they were waiting on the syringe for the anesthesia to be sanitized (huh? I kept thinking do they only have 1 syringe??). The whole thing was so chaotic but they got a temporary crown on me and scheduled a follow up to put in the permanent. I get to my 2nd appointment, wait 20 mins, go to the back and the first thing they tell me is that the dentist that put in the temporary wasn't scheduled for that day and “it’s not preferable to have a different dentist put in the permanent” so they said I could reschedule. When I asked why was I scheduled for the 2nd appointment when the same dentist wasn’t there, they changed their tune and said a different dentist suddenly COULD fit in the permanent. The frustrating part was that I had called the office earlier that day and NO ONE told me about the scheduling issue. I don’t think they have any understanding or care for patient’s time. I should have just rescheduled because the dentist I got also seemed like he was in a rush and YANKED my temporary crown out of my mouth SO HARD but (surprise, surprise) wasn’t able to fit the permanent in. Since the day he aggressively pulled my tooth out, I have had sensitivity in my teeth. Notably, I didn’t have sensitivity with my temporary crown before. I mentioned this when they finally put in the permanent crown on my 3rd visit, but they brushed it off like it was normal. Well, 9 months later, I still had sensitivity and had to get a root canal. I did not have an infection and I still wonder if I would have needed a root canal if it wasn't for that crazy dentist who yanked at my tooth. Also, when I went to endodontic specialists to evaluate my tooth, they told me Thrive is known to be a poor place to work. There are SO MANY great dentists, please stay away from this practice. It's definitely not worth it.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Thrive Dental today! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The entire team was professional, kind, and incredibly thorough—especially King, the dental assistant, Kamryn, the office manager, and Dr. Leen. What truly set this visit apart was how Dr. Leen took the time to not only explain my dental plan in detail but also show me actual images as we discussed my treatment. I’ve never had a dentist do that before, and it made a world of difference in understanding my care. King was outstanding—attentive, reassuring, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Kamryn was equally amazing, ensuring everything went smoothly from start to finish. It’s clear that the team at Thrive Dental genuinely cares about their patients, and I couldn’t be more impressed. If you’re looking for a dentist who is thorough, transparent, and truly invested in your dental health, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Great experience so far! I was promptly greeted by Rianna & Jayla took over to help with XRays & fills/deep cleaning with Dr. Leem! The staff made me feel so welcomed and even followed up on my night guard a few days after my visit! Thank you to everyone!

Negative experience: I’ve given it enough time before posting this review, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience to help others avoid a similar situation. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received, to the point that I had to return to have the work redone. I was advised to replace my fillings, but I never imagined it would be the worst mistake of my life. One of my teeth was severely damaged, and I have been experiencing significant pain while chewing on that side for over six months. When I returned to have it corrected, I was met with excuses, including being told that I shouldn’t be in pain because there was a crown next to the affected tooth. Seeking a second opinion, I visited a new doctor who took detailed images and showed me the actual damage. He was shocked by the poor quality of work, even going so far as to question how this facility was still operating. I learned that this practice hires newly graduated dentists with little to no experience—many of whom leave within six months, which now makes sense given my experience. As a result of this substandard treatment, I am now facing additional costs to have the work corrected, and due to the extent of the damage, I will eventually need a crown. I am beyond disappointed and incredibly frustrated. To anyone considering Thrive, please think twice before trusting them with your dental care.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome dental office!! They are so caring and helpful!! We were a bit nervous about our visit but everyone who helped us was so kind and caring. Thank you so much for making this a great visit for my child.

Negative experience: Lack of communication, I paid for additional service that was not provided and was told I would receive a refund. During follow up visits/other kids appts. I inquired about matter and was told I would receive a call with update. We are about 3 months after procedure and have yet to receive refund or a call. Every time I call I am told billing person is not there or unavailable and will give me a call back.

Negative experience: I like to think of myself as pretty understanding so when my 3pm appointment turned into a waiting game until 5pm to actually see the dentist I understood since everyone seemed incredibly busy, but when it was my turn to be examined she made it clear she had to move on and see the next patient and the interaction felt rushed. Part of my new treatment plan was a major dental procedure and she even suggested I speak about it with the front desk for more info since she wasn’t able to explain fully in order to see the patient next door. So that was disappointing. I wish I caught her name but I think shes new

Fantastic experience: All of the staff is great. Just to mention a few of them. Dr Liu worked with me on an emergency tooth pain. . Octavia was great .Chelsea is extremely friendly and helpful .
