Fantastic experience: Great visit today! Conversation was wonderful, cleaning was another plus due to having braces it take a little longer sometime. Today I was signed quickly and the wait was less than 3 mins before getting called back. I hope you keep this check in, I never had an office to request paperwork be completed before they will sign you in. Today that was a relief ‍! I was trying to do online and I was filling out what look like the same forms for over 5 min before I gave up to fillout in the office and I did not loose my place in line.

Negative experience: 0/10 , when I came in there, nobody even gave me their name so I don’t recall who my dentist was. The experience was very unpleasant. There was rough and this young lady always was on her phone. I wish They would’ve gave me their names and stuff. They didn’t even ask who I was nor what was the issue overall it was just terrible.

Positive experience: We really appreciate the consistency of seeing the same team for orthodontics—it makes things much easier. The orthodontist side runs smoothly, the front desk staff is friendly, the ladies in the back are extremely kind, and the orthodontist is incredible. On the dental side, things can feel a bit more hectic. The dentists themselves are very kind, but the process for children can be confusing. For example, my child is often called to the back while there’s already a line, meaning he ends up waiting in the back instead of the lobby. This makes the wait longer and leaves parents wondering why it’s taking so long. Another concern is that appointments are sometimes scheduled without speaking to parents. For kids who are 14 or 15 and cannot drive, a parent needs to be present. It would make more sense to confirm with parents before scheduling. The main issue, however, is the front desk staff. One particular employee seems very unfriendly. I’ve noticed her having personal phone conversations while there is a line of patients waiting to check in. It feels unprofessional and frustrating, as her job is to help keep things moving efficiently. Personal conversations should wait until the line has cleared. Overall, the orthodontic care is excellent, and the dental staff is kind, but the front desk experience on the dental side could use improvement.

Fantastic experience: I made a last-minute appointment on a Friday afternoon to fix a broken filling and tooth. The staff was very friendly. There was no long waiting. Dr. MORGAN attended my niece along with her assistant. I was in and out within the hour. This was a temporary fix to hold me until I got packed from my Family vacation. I was then set up for another appointment as soon as I return from my vacation. The service was awesome.

Positive experience: Took my sister there that has Dementia, they really took time with helping make sure she was comfortable and understood everything that they were doing with her dental care and which made her visit very comfortable for her .

Negative experience: Very unsatisfied was told that my son could not have the dental procedure he needed in the office because he had anxiety. My child has never been diagnosed with anxiety he is 12 and was meeting a dentist for the first time. The dentist never came out and spoke to me only the assistant. The procedure my son needed was a root canal. His tooth is broken and the nerve was exposed and they sent him home and did nothing for him. Several years ago I had oral surgery there and they were great. Times have changed and not for the better there.

Fantastic experience: Friendly atmosphere well kept and clean and making sure no one is contaminated with any virus the staff was polite and courteous. The dentist was concern and took every step to make sure I knew what was going step by step plus I felt comfortable he was a gentle giant. Furthermore, even though I have anxiety. the dentist understood , they were aware that and took the necessary steps to make sure should I felt comfortable. In addition, they treat you like faimly and that's important.

Fantastic experience: I came in for my initial visit with Dr Barnes. He was very friendly and professional in explaining the procedures that I needed. I felt very comfortable there and have found a new dentist.

Negative experience: This was my first time coming to this facility. As a mother of a teenager, I expect to talk to the dentist to be able to express concerns or ask questions. Since this was the first time meeting this professional, I believe they should have listened to any previous situation, experience, or concerns to create a connection with the patient. Teenagers do not express the problems we as mothers see in them. They called my child in. I stood up to go in. The assistant told me they would do the cleaning, they would do the X-rays, and they would talk to me after they completed the cleaning and the X-rays. I waited, and she came out. Not one took me in. I asked the assistant “I was supposed to go in and talk to the dentist.” She said no, everything is good, not cavities. She’s good to go. They did not say anything about coming back or anything. Then, I received a text with an appointment I didn’t even have the opportunity to schedule myself. They have no consultation time period, No validation for parents, lack of communication, and zero professionalism. And they did not go over the procedure and never showed me the X-rays. Do I believe they did an excellent cleaning no I do not believe it. There was not a significant change.

Come to find out they haven't told me half the things that was wrong with her teeth. Never mentioned them ! I was shocked . Will not ever recommend this place !!!!!! Fantastic experience: The visit was very inviting. Once i meet Dr. Williams he was very warm and inviting. After introducing himself and what he does he went into asking me what my goals was for my teeth and mouth in general. As he listen to those particular goals he went into my options of my goals and the process of each one of them. He said his main goal was making sure that we reach my goals going forward in however the process takes. He’s a very handsome generous young man and I am definitely glad i made the decision as a new patient to go to this particular dentist office. I am even referring my daughter, whom lives in Charlotte to this same office

Negative experience: Not happy with this dentist, nice people but did not listen to what I have to say. Told them what teeth was hurting, took out one. Saying they need to do X-rays, I figured when we got done that day I had to come back for my partial they would do the x rays the same day, nope. It’s been a week and a day, my mouth has been killing me. I called a dr yesterday got in the same day, they did X-rays and seen how bad the periodontal disease is and how much bone I lost, they took the proper precautions and help me get out of the pain I was in. Dr’s you have got to listen to your patients, something y’all didn’t do, especially when it comes to someone that’s diabetic like myself or has other major medical problems. Will never come back to this office

Negative experience: My family and I have been patients at this dental office for over two years, and I am extremely disappointed with both the front desk and clinical staff. While I’ve tried to remain patient, the ongoing lack of professionalism, communication, and basic dental knowledge has been incredibly frustrating. Almost every time I visit, there’s new front desk staff. It feels like the office consistently hires individuals with little to no experience in either dentistry or customer service. I have private insurance, yet they seem unable to submit claims correctly without repeated follow-up from me. I’ve been told things like, “We haven’t received anything from your insurance,” or I’ve received vague, confused responses that make it clear they don’t understand my inquiries. It’s also apparent that there is no communication between the clinical staff in the back and the administrative team in the front. When I’ve called about treatment plans or insurance approvals, no one can provide answers, and I’m continuously passed around or given incomplete information. Most recently, I called the office to request a copy of my dental scan and was told by Casandra that there was no scan of my teeth. When I asked her to check again with the assistant, she came back saying there was only a scan of my prepped molar for a crown. I explained that a full scan must have been taken; otherwise, how would the lab fabricate the crown without the bite and surrounding teeth? Instead of helping further, Casandra became rude and dismissive, telling me to just come pick up the model of my teeth. She made it clear she didn’t want to assist any further. Frustrated, I told her to cancel not only my upcoming cleaning appointment but also all future appointments for my entire family. She responded by hanging up on me. To make matters worse, I went in for a consultation to see if I could get veneers on my four front teeth to address some minor cosmetic concerns. Dr. Barnes assured me that he could perform the procedure and took the time to show me pictures, models, and explain the expected outcome. However, on the day of the procedure, he prepped my teeth for crowns, not veneers, without my full understanding or consent. He also suggested removing more tooth structure for better fitting of these so-called "veneers" than what we had originally discussed, which was not part of the agreed-upon treatment plan. At this point, I’ve completely lost trust in this practice. I’m extremely disappointed with how I was treated and how poorly my case was managed. If this had been a single back tooth, it might have been manageable but these were my front teeth. Every visit took over two hours, and I had to return to the office repeatedly because the temporary kept falling off. What should have been a positive and professional dental experience turned into a long, stressful process filled with miscommunication and repeated mistakes. If you have private insurance, I strongly advise against going to this office. No one there seems to understand how insurance works, and you’ll end up having to do all the follow-up yourself. You might as well file the claims on your own. Attached are photos showing the before and after. The assistant made my temporary restoration yellow, and it didn’t match my natural teeth at all, something that was never discussed with me prior to treatment. The model shown below represented the expected outcome and the amount of tooth structure to be removed, which was not what I ultimately received. They temporarily cemented two of the so-called "veneers," which is why the other two are not visible in the photos.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Gaston Dental Associates today! Everybody was very welcoming and made me feel so at ease at my dental appointment. I had my 6 month check up along with a cleaning and everything went like clockwork! I would recommend this office to anyone who might be a little apprehensive about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: My first experience with Gaston Dental Associates went so much better than I had expected. I was very anxious because I had been with the same dentist since I was a teenager and I’m now 65 years old. The staff there were all so very nice and understanding with my situation. They right away put me at ease with deciding to come there and I was able to choose them as my new dental office.

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Gaston orthodontist for about a year now. Insurance finally approved for him to have braces but he needed a cleaning and checkup beforehand. I couldn't get him an appt with the dentist he normally sees so we were able to get a new patient and next day appt here with Gaston Dentistry. My son said the dentist was really nice and he wanted to continue coming to this dentist ❤️ This means so much coming from a child that had to be put completely to sleep for his first dental procedures and then laughing gas for the past 2yrs. I would definitely recommend Gaston Dentistry for young children.

Fantastic experience: Me and my children have been coming here for 17 years. Staff has changed around but there are still a few familiar faces from that long ago. Everyone is pleasant and they stay on schedule fairly well. Scheduling can be a little far out but I believe it is because they try to stay in line with their schedule. Will continue to go here until we can't!!
