Fantastic experience: I required an extraction, and was referred by my dentist. I had concerns as I have a condition that makes extraction a risk. My concerns were discussed and I felt heard and was confident that the course of action was in my best interest. I found the staff professional and everyone made sure that I was well informed and given adequate time to ask questions. The procedure went well and I am happy to recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a consultation per my dentist to see about getting 2.5 wisdom teeth removed. Luckily they had room to squeeze me into the schedule that same day for the actual procedure following the consultation. They were quick and efficient. From the moment anesthesia was administered to when I was rolled out in a wheelchair was about 45min to an hour start to finish. There was a hiccup in getting my post-op pain meds but it all worked out. I’m currently home recovering, demolishing cups of jello by the pack and feeling like I lost a fight with Mike Tyson but all in all I’m pleased with the speedy and professional service I received.

Negative experience: This practice is truly awful! Think twice before making an appointment here! My husband (who is a heart patient & now on a transplant list)!had a tooth extraction recently. The Dr spent all of 5 minutes pulling it out! They “supposedly” called in a prescription for pain meds & antibiotics (which, as a heart patient are crucial to prevent infection & any serious issues!) The pharmacy had nothing from this Dr’s office ever though they kept saying it was called into the pharmacy..over a week later & still nothing! As a former dental receptionist that worked in an exceptional practice in Maine, this is major negligence on this office! Not only did they never call to follow up after the extraction (which is what any good dental practice would do)..they had a high risk patient go with NO meds at all! We called the after hours, on call Dr today & never even received any call back! There is NO excuse for that! Is this how FL dentists operate? What a joke! Run from this place!!! Also forgot to add that this Dr left bone fragments in my husband’s mouth..maybe he should slow down & do a better job!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff. From the front desk, to the nurses, and the doctor. They are all very knowledgeable and take the time to explain the procedure. They took great care of my daughter who underwent a procedure under anesthesia and was not feeling so great after. They were kind and supportive and made sure that she felt better and was safe before sending her home, I even got a call from them a few hours later checking in to make sure she was okay. Thank you to all the team for your professionalism and care.

Fantastic experience: I made a call with a problem the staff was courteous and professional I asked if we could expedite the process because I was going out of town they got me in quickly and I needed more than what I expected but no problem! They performed surgery I left that morning by 10am never felt any pain or discomfort I would highly recommend them

Fantastic experience: Good job, was in and out. But only issue have to wait awhile to get the work I need done. But that’s not the fault of the people that work there. Negative experience: Not to profesional or friendly I was refer to that office by my Dentist and walk in there for a consultation instead explaining to me the xray or procedure the Dentist and asistan were planning to extract the tooth and when I asked them that I went there for consultation I got a lot sarcasm I told him that I didn’t appreciate the way he presented himself to me it wasn’t professional and I took my xray and left

Negative experience: The profound and unacceptable incompetence exhibited by the front desk and staff who answer the phones is perplexing and undoubtedly concerning. For instance, when I requested the transfer of my X-rays, the individual who answered the phone failed to listen and inquired whether I was attempting to schedule an appointment for myself or my daughter. Subsequently, they repeatedly stated, “One second,” which they repeated three times. Upon my clarification that it was indeed three seconds, they remained silent for approximately fifteen seconds. When I greeted them, they informed me that they were reviewing my chart (without prior notification) and subsequently placed me on hold, causing the on-hold music to commence and provide me with a jarring surprise to my ears. If you value your time and expect competence from individuals who answer the phones, it is advisable to avoid such establishments.

Positive experience: Staff was great! Locations are convenient. This visit was much better than my my first. Dr. had good humor. He is a bit of an introvert. Not saying that's bad, but me personally, I would have liked a little more volunteered info. I had to continuously ask questions. Definitely recommend them.

Positive experience: Staff and Dr were great, friendly and efficient, getting my xrays and surgical extraction done in a very quick and professional manner. The only reason for the missing 5th star was the insistence of being paid up-front before being seen by anyone on staff. Sharing the cost right up front but demanding payment in full before the consolation even began was somewhat off-putting. Then after consolation and deciding to have the extraction the same day, I was asked for a second upfront payment before I was put in another room for the actual pulling. What are you afraid of, that I would "run out" on the bill with blood running out of my mouth, the antibiotic prescription not yet sent to the pharmacy, etc. ???

Fantastic experience: I had to get a wisdom tooth and another tooth pulled and everything went great! Doctor Achong was excellent and so were the staff! Fantastic experience: I had to go in for a consultation to see Dr. Latham. He and his staff were absolutely fantastic! I regret not knowing each of the assistants that had helped me because all of them were friendly, kind, and helpful. Regarding Dr. Latham his bedside manner was top notch! He first listened to my concerns rather than just looking at the referral and saying this is what’s going to be done. He is knowledgeable, professional and sensitive to your needs. You can tell that he cares about his patients and that’s such a rarity these days.

Fantastic experience: This office is professional, easy to work with and fast. Had my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday May 22nd. I chose sedation route and the minute they said you’ll feel a poke I was out like a light after saying that wasn’t a poke at all lol. I woke up thinking I was still being prepped for my extraction but in fact had already gone through the procedure and was wheeled out to my fiancé within minutes. Have very minimal swelling and discomfort. They followed up with us a few hours later to make sure I was doing okay. I appreciate all they have done. When I need my bottom teeth done I will be coming back again! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Everything was great. They answered my questions quickly and suctsinctly. The one thing that they should remedy is there toilet paper dispenser in the restroom. It took me two hands to get the toilet paper to scroll of the roll. I told them about this at the time and I think they will try to improve that about their restroom.

I called and made an appointment for a consult within a few days. The office was very clean and friendly. The dr was very nice. They were able to quickly set a surgery date. Day of surgery was fast and went well. Def would recommend this place. We went to the Winter Garden location and Clermont for the follow up. Both very nice.

Fantastic experience: After getting three teeth removed three weeks ago (including an impacted wisdom tooth), I am so happy that I chose Dr. Achong and his team to perform my oral surgery! Negative experience: I was super disappointed after my surgical removal of wisdom teeth. Was referred here by my dentist, everyone was super nice at my consultation. I come back.. why is the nurse being extremely rude to me when I have it in my file I have high medical anxiety and ptsd. When i woke up from sedation i got told to “Stop with the crying and focus on breathing” I was so out of it I didn’t even know I was crying or where I was. They didn’t give me any post op paperwork. I got the pre surgery paper work again and a bag of gauze. I got a rude phone call after to “check on me” and got told I shouldn’t have gauze in my mouth anymore (it wasn’t even clotted yet) and “Take the gauze out and just go bite a teabag.” Like excuse me? How am I supposed to know that if you didn’t tell my family member while I was still extremely high from being deep sedated or give me any instructional paperwork whatsoever. I’m having to use google to care for myself at this point in recovery. I’m using an account with an alias name as I may have to go back for treatment depending on how this goes.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic overall experience. The office staff was friendly, welcoming, and informative. The medical staff, doctor's, and assistants were incredibly professional, communicative, and experienced. I highly recommend this office.

Negative experience: I was referred to this office for wisdom teeth extractions by my primary dentist. I informed the doctor and the office of previous adverse reactions to anesthesia prior to being given complete anesthesia for the procedure in June of 2024. I had a serious, life-threatening reaction to the anesthesia despite mentioning this beforehand and it led to two painful dry sockets that required multiple visits and several rounds of antibiotics to treat. During the treatment of the dry sockets, I began to have pain in a nearby tooth and as my dental insurance had maxed out following the extractions, I continued to see the oral surgeon. I frequently expressed my concern for the pain in the sockets and near my fontal jawline, but I was repeatedly told that my symptoms were puzzling, that the x-rays taken in September of 2024 didn’t indicate a problem, and that an explanation could not be found for the pain. This led to an undiscovered root infection that progressed undetected. This year I returned to the oral surgeon due to recurring pain that resurfaced around the first week of January. At that time, the oral surgeon noticed a root infection that had significantly progressed. When the x-ray from January 2025 was compared to the one taken in September 2024, the surgeon said he could see where the infection was just starting back in September. Had more time be taken in September to pinpoint my pain following the tooth extraction, this issue would have been detected and treated in a timely manner. Upon returning to my primary dentist following this discovery, and given that my dental insurance has started over, my primary dentist told me that there was no sign of an infection from x-rays taken in April 2024 and that this was mistakenly missed last year in September when I reported experiencing pain to the oral surgeon. I am now facing yet another extraction, instead of a root canal, as the tooth is too damaged to be spared. It is important to listen to patients, even when symptoms are puzzling or appear to not have a clear explanation. It is also important to consider that not all patients respond positively to anesthesia. If more time had been focused on considering my previous reactions to anesthesia and helping pinpoint the pain that I reported, I would not have needed so many different treatments or be facing yet another substantial dental procedure.

Fantastic experience: I was born with poor teeth. At age 32 I was faced with either dentures or having all my teeth crowned. I chose the crowns which was done by a dentist in another state. Then in my early 50’s those crowns started failing and I was faced with needing a dental implant. I was incredibly lucky and I’m EXTREMELY thankful that I found Dr Achong. More of my crowned teeth fractured since then and Dr Achong has now performed 13 dental implants on me. The most recent was end of Nov 2024. Many of these were complex but because Dr Achong is a very highly skilled and meticulous oral surgeon, all the implants have been successful. He has literally saved my teeth and has been able to keep me from a toothless life with dentures. To add to my kudos I want to say how Dr Achong makes the whole daunting surgical procedure so easy. My last one was 2.5 hours since he was doing 4 implants. It felt like 5 minutes. They put me in the chair, Dr Achong gives me IV sedation and the next thing I know I am getting in the car for hubby to take me home. Dr Achong is the ONLY oral surgeon I would recommend. I will say that after 15+ YEARS, 13 implants through 8 different surgical procedures, my 5 star rating is a very good measure and testimony for the quality of medical care given by Dr Achong and how he makes the experience undaunting.

Fantastic experience: Everything was great the receptionist was friendly and smiling and I felt bad with tooth pain and was very nervous and anxious the staff made me.feel welcome.and calmed me down and the Dentist was professional and qwik too. I would definitely return.

Negative experience: This place is weird. There policy for reimbursement sucks. I waited close to 4 months to get my money back. I had to call every week as a follow-up and the story was corporate reimburses at the end of the month,mailing your check at the beginning of the next. That didn't happened. I finally got the check directly from the office where I got the work done.

His calm, professional, and empathic demeanor put me at ease with the upcoming procedure. Update: Needed an additional pre-op extraction. Fantastic experience: The oral surgeon I have been working with is in my summer residence in California. I needed some work done here so I literally googled the place closest to me. I was not happy about this unplanned but necessary visit. By the time I left the office, Dr. Latham and Karina will now be who I use moving forward, without question! They were so friendly, sympathetic, easy to understand, accommodating, and professional, I was truly blown away. I had a crystal clear vision of what needed to be done by the time I left, and their prices were way better than I was quoted by my original Doctor in California. So happy I stumbled upon them…….

Fantastic experience: I was unlucky being born with major dental problems but was super lucky when I found Dr Achong over 14 years ago. Over the years he has performed 8 implants and I’m now having to get 2 more. His expertise has literally kept me from having to go to dentures at a young age. He makes the whole process easy and I’m never worried or afraid on the day of surgery. I walk in, sit in the chair and wake up after as if I’d just taken a great nap. Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth extraction done at this facility. Because it was close to my sinuses, I decided to get sedation for the procedure. I didn’t even know I’d close my eyes when I had awakened. Everything was done so beautifully well I was out within an hour. They thoroughly educate you on what possibly expect they call you to make sure you’re OK. Everybody is fantastic, friendly professional, and knowledgeable. This was my second time having a procedure here and I want to keep all my teeth if I have to do it again I would go to them for sure. They are so organized and give you all the information you need and take care of the financials and all of that because when you come out, you’re not feeling like doing any of that. Great attitudes great knowledge, wonderful procedures. I am happy person, even though I lost a tooth.

Fantastic experience: I went to get all 4 wisdom teeth out and my tongue tie fixed. The team there were ON IT. The wait time was short and very transparent with pricing and insurance. The 3% fee with cards was a bit unexpected and something that I felt could've been built into the pricing rather than an additional cost. However, the surgeons was 110% the very best of the best. He got my vein on the first stick (and I have deep veins) and I woke up with no recollection of anything. Recovery time of 1-2 weeks from wisdom teeth was not nearly as bad or as painful as I had thought it would be and that is all thanks to the very skillful hands of Oral Facial Surgical Arts 10/10!!

Negative experience: The Dr. Achong did not communicate prior to the procedure and was extremely heavy handed and way too fast when administering the shots. He complained about my inability to open my mouth any further than I could (due to medical reasons), then was noticeably upset that the tooth didn’t easily come out. Oddly enough, I had the same tooth pulled on the other side of my mouth by a VA surgeon about 6 months prior and it was a walk in the park. UPDATE: After leaving this review, I received a call from their practice cancelling my future appointment and they banned me from their office. Pretty odd since they asked me to review their practice in the first place. Obviously they only want good reviews. Would you trust your face to a doctor that only wants you to give “positive” reviews of their practice no matter how the procedure went?

Fantastic experience: My appointment, went really well. They took me in 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I was prepped in went to surgery. My doctor and his assistant explained each a Procedures. I wasn't crazy about having surgery, but it really was a pleasant experience. I definitely recommend this organization. Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly and reassuring! From the lovely front desk ladies (especially Alyssa sorry if I spelled your name wrong but the one with long curly hair) who helped hurry me in for a broken tooth. To actually getting my tooth ripped out. It was a painless event and the dentist and everyone listened to my needs and did everything they could to make sure I felt comfortable and calm. They also kept me updated throughout the process letting me know what to expect/hear. I 100% recommend coming here.

Positive experience: The team here is great. I have had multiple wisdom teeth pulled here and the staff are all nice. Dr. Achong is amazing. He’s very careful and quick. He makes sure you’re doing ok along the way. I highly recommend dr achong and his team for any teeth extractions you may need. The pricing is VERY high, for someone who does not have dental insurance. But that’s really the only complaint that I have.

Fantastic experience: Today they finished my root implant. As usual Oral-Facial Surgical Arts gave excellent and professional service. Dr Latham is the best. He always explains the steps he's taking to make me feel comfortable with a difficult process. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: ZERO communication. My husband had to wait 2 weeks for a consultation, took time off work and was hoping to get some relief. I have no email or text reminders for the apt so I wasn't sure of the time. Tried to call, no answer. We show up and hour and a half before his apt and the door was locked. Again, called the number on the door and no one answered. We caught someone leaving so we went in and my husband begins to fill out paperwork. No one told me/him that he shouldn't eat before the surgery so they would have turned him away but come to find out it's a consultation. $70 something dollars for a consult but he had a referral? What more info do they need? Not impressed and VERY frustrated by the lack of communication. Unprofessional and aggravating.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Latham and his staff were amazing. Very professional and also very kind. I was super nervous, but they made me feel at ease. My surgery went well. The recovery instructions were well explained, and the office called the following day to check up in me. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Front desk were amazing , they greeted with a smile , they all looked busy bit were extremely attentive! Kudos to the manager who runs the ship! The nurse Victoria is kind , the doctor is very knowledgeable. Very nice guy! Love how this staff works together !

Fantastic experience: Dr. Achong and his fabulous staff are the best! From the start, when dealing with a potentially terrifying situation, I was treated with great kindness, respect, patience, understanding and proficiency. I would highly recommend this wonderful doctor and his staff for all oral surgery needs. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Achong explained what he would be doing well. He has a good sense of humor which helps if you are going through something rather unpleasant. The staff assisting him told me things I needed to do after the extraction and gave me a sheet to follow which clearly specified things to avoid doing. Overall I thought the process went very quickly and I was grateful that I could get the extraction done with the same visit as the initial consultation. I needed to have the extraction prior to getting a crown at another facility and by doing everything in one visit that has expedited that entire process.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have an extraction, bone graft, and implant base installed. Dr Achong was great. The procedures were explained to me thoroughly so I knew what to expect and what the costs and timeline would be. The surgeries, while not fun, were not as bad as I anticipated and I am healing up nicely. I am almost ready to go back to my dentist for the crown. If you require oral surgery I can highly recommend Dr. Achong.

Negative experience: Embarrassing! First off, downloaded their new patient forms online like asked to and when I arrived at the office I was made refill them all out because they were the wrong forms. Then we move into the doctor's office with a referral for tooth extraction and the Dr Achong hadn't even read the referral looked at the X-rays and discussed about hooking braces to it‍♂️. The referral literally said tooth extraction with the tooth numbered from my orthodontist. He didn't even know which tooth and on what side after they took an 360° X-ray. And I'm supposed to trust this person putting my adolescent daughter under with anesthesia when he doesn't even know why we're in his office? Furthermore, his entire outfit look like it was just pulled out of a trash bag wrinkled and very unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional, Dr Achong and his entire staff were not hospitable or kind.

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY recommended! I have nothing but praise for Dr.Latham. This was the quickest, most painless experience I have ever had in a dental office. I had to go in for a wisdom tooth extraction and was surprised as to how quickly this was done as I had done an extraction prior at a different location. I am speechless and very grateful for the attention and care that was shown. I also appreciated the followup call later in the day to see how I was doing. Would definitely visit again if needed. Thank you!

Positive experience: Dr. Latham and his clinical staff are excellent. Professional, answers questions, treat patients with respect and work as a team. The office staff, however, need to take some customer service classes. Especially the dark haired girl who schedules and takes your money when you come in for a procedure. (Never gives her name).She is rude, barely speaks to you, doesn't offer options for appointments. Needed an appointment to get sutures removed Sept 2023. She tried to tell me dissolvable when surgeon told me I would need to come back about two weeks. When I could not make the day she wanted to schedule me, she said "this is the way it is." Then tried to schedule me six weeks later! Told her it was "unacceptable." Then said I "would have to talk to the doctor." I did. She has never been professional, respectful or pleasant on any encounter. Such a shame you have to go through the office staff to be able to have an excellent oral surgeon give you care. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Both my husband and I have had several tooth extractions in the past few years by Dr. Latham. We can't say enough about Dr. Latham and his entire staff. We could go another office which is on our insurance and free, but we choose Dr. Latham. He is 100% skilled and professional and also very personal and kind.

Negative experience: After what the doctor said was a standard extraction, my daughter suffered for months with a hole in her sinus cavity, difficulty opening her jaw, and numbness. On top of this we received a bill months later stating that we owed double what we initially paid because the insurance estimate was incorrect.

Fantastic experience: DR.Achong’s professionalism, and attention to detail is beyond understanding. His staff is one of the best I’ve ever seen. their level of caring and communication makes you feel secure and that someone really cares about your problems. DR.Achong went above and beyond to make my wife feel comfortable and never once mentioned an additional charge regardless if we requested him to do things that other Dentist said there would be a $2000 charge for. DR.Achong was a gift from God not only did he fix a very serious problem that another dentist in clermont created but he gave my wife confidence and hope. I highly recommend DR.Achong and his staff.

Fantastic experience: Staff was excellent My safety was paramount. Dr would not extract my tooth until approved by my doctor. My previous dentist pulled the tooth never mentioned my blood thinner. Will definitely recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: Had a huge, painful issue that needed attention. Had a next day appt and issue was extracted with 15 minutes. Doctor was impressive due to his Harvard Dental education. His staff was attentive and very professional. I would highly recommend this office for emergency dental issues.

The whole office was so nice and informative from the first phone call to the extraction appointment. They even called later that day to see how he was doing and answer any questions that had come up. Now second day post procedure and doing great. Highly recommend.
