Negative experience: Dear parents, I urge you to pay close attention to one particular staff member at this clinic. We have been coming to Federal Way Kid's Choice Dental for quite a while, and normally we have no issues with the other nurses. However, every time we encounter this particular nurse, we face serious problems. My child becomes anxious and cries, afraid of her because she treats children with hostility. She speaks harshly, raises her voice, and never explains what she’s doing. There’s not a hint of a smile or any kindness in her demeanor. She just grabs instruments and uses them without warning the child at all. My child used to go to the dentist without fear, but after dealing with this nurse, he left the clinic in tears, trembling with fright. I urge the clinic’s management and all parents to consider whether this person belongs in a pediatric dental clinic. Perhaps she would be better suited to another position that does not involve working with children. This is not a prison, and no child deserves to be treated with such animosity. In these cases, it is especially important for the staff and management to respond to such individuals who bring this kind of negativity into a place meant for children. No one in America should have to tolerate such hostility in a setting that should be safe and welcoming for kids.

Negative experience: ⚠️ PARENT WARNING — PLEASE READ BEFORE YOUR VISIT Please be extremely attentive when bringing your child to this clinic. Pay close attention to: • the tone of voice used by medical staff, • whether physical force is used on a child, • whether the child is being told and calmly explained what is being done. If you encounter this staff member, strongly request a different nurse. Do not be afraid to protect your child. A children’s clinic should be a safe place, not a source of fear. ⸻ I am writing this review to warn other parents about a deeply disturbing and frightening experience at this children’s clinic. During my child’s appointment (my child is 11 years old), the nurse behaved in an aggressive, intimidating, and unacceptable manner. Instead of calmly explaining the procedure, she yelled at my child in a commanding tone and forcefully attempted to push a breathing device into my child’s mouth, without explanation and without regard for my child’s fear. My child was terrified. I repeatedly asked the nurse to be gentle and respectful, reminding her that she was dealing with a child. She completely ignored my requests and continued yelling and using force. The consequences of this incident have been severe. Since that visit, my child is now afraid to go to the doctor. Before this, my child had no fear of doctors or dentists and attended medical appointments calmly. Now even discussing a doctor’s visit causes anxiety and distress. This kind of experience can be psychologically traumatic for a child and should never happen in a pediatric clinic. I genuinely believe this behavior is dangerous for children. Children require patience, calm explanations, and care — not shouting and physical force — especially in a medical environment. I have never witnessed behavior like this in any children’s clinic in any U.S. state. The nurse’s actions raised serious concerns about her professional competence and suitability to work with children. I strongly urge the clinic’s management to review this employee’s conduct and ensure that all staff interacting with children are properly trained and qualified. Once again, I want to warn all parents: Please stay alert, observe how staff treat your child, and always advocate for your child’s safety.

Negative experience: My Kids have been Going to this place since they were little. They have an excelent service but the person who calls to confirm the apointments is so rude she cancelled twice for no reason . I thougth it was my fault for no responding inmediately to the links last time i filled in as soon as i received it and even so she cancel my apointment i called after i received the notificación that they cancelled again a lady named Isa answer she admit that she did not see I filled out all the paper work. This is not a game i need to coordínate several apointments only for a regular cleaning they should check Well before canceling

Fantastic experience: I will admit, my son isn't the easiest one to get into a chair and behave. So many just give up, but at ADC the friendly assistants and Dr. Yi went the extra mile and made sure my son came out with with a clean smile! He even bit an assistant's finger but she responded with a laugh and smile. I recommend ADC to every parent who wants to protect their kid's smile. Sara did a wonderful job with Tiger and I appreciate her help! Thank you guys so much looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic experience: This is the most amazing kids dentist ever. I had appointment for my son to have his baby teeth extracted. He needed them extracted to get his braces in. I had appointment scheduled at 1pm. When I arrived the doctor was literally walking out for the day. She saw me and said they were closed for the day. I explained to her I had appointment. She literally walked back in the office and found there was a glitch in the system for some reason. Instead of just telling me they would need to reschedule. She literally put her stuff back down and told the staff to prepare for the operation. I did feel bad because I know how it is when you’re planing on going home for the day and something pops up for work. They didn’t seem to care and if they did they sure didn’t let me know that. Then they performed the operation with such care and professionalism. I just want any one that might be looking for a dentist for the child to understand how amazing the people are here at the Fedral way office. I would highly recommend them especially with are children . Thank you very much to the entire staff you make difficult situations a lot easier.

Negative experience: Whan the doctor took my sister just for two fillings but the doctor didn't tell us he did seven fill up without my mom's permission and 5 of wher her good teeth

Negative experience: I have been a client forever here with my 3 kids and today I was 10 minutes late and took me another 10 minutes to fill from scratch their forms. And they didn’t receive my kid. It’s really frustrating to make the time and space in the middle of the busy days having kids for their appointments and then this happens . I always try to be on time, but it’s not always possible. Im not coming back here nor recommending the place. Most moms with kids may struggle with time sometimes.

Positive experience: Been coming here for a few years now. Lots of disappointments as there’s times where they changed my child’s appt without letting me know, taking me back after 45 mins (they always take my child back 10-45 mins late on every single appointment) and they have even put my son on a room that wasn’t even cleaned or sanitized from the patient before, I have been contemplating on moving to another office for all this reasons. BUT I want to give the credit to Lena (not sure the spelling of her name, sorry!) she is so sweet and perfectionist on everything she does. She really took the time to polish and floss my child’s teeth and was so sweet the whole time, something I hadn’t really seen from other assistants. I wish more people took the time to do their job with the passion she has and time to educate the parents on their child’s health and dental needs.

Negative experience: I found this place very terrible for kids having developmental issues such as autism. My daughter did have some reactions as she did not like the color of the tooth paste and toothbrush they tried to use. She wanted to use pink one as that is her favorite, and the dentist immediately said she did not want to help her here as she thinks she is not safe to staff. They did not show any compassion and understanding or any willingness to find out a way to calm my daughter down. That was not helpful at all and made my daughter cry and have reaction even more. That is denial of treatment and is not okay. They already know her health issues documented with them and thought they should have been ready for treating her. I definitely do not recommend such places who do not have zero interest to help your child's difficulty. Retractable experience.

Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10 experience, I will highly recommend anybody that kids especially with kids with autism sara was amazing when it came to taking x-rays. Dr U made it easy on what’s going on plan for treatment.

Fantastic experience: Kids Choice Dental is an excellent place for the kids. The staff is always mindful and friendly. The appointments are always on time. All our experience with that client is always positive. Sara the dental nurse takes care of her little patients like her own kids. She is so professional as long as the doctor and the whole personnel.

Negative experience: Horrible. I scheduled an appointment for my son. Provide all necessary information. Sat on the phone with customer service to confirm my appointment. Received a text message confirming. Only to show up early the next day and have them tell me that my son appointment was canceled. The individual who was the manager, didn’t even ask me if I wanted to reschedule his appointment.

Negative experience: I called to try to reschedule my daughter appointment I understand I missed 2 appointments but you can be very understanding please don’t go here they call so much to confirm the appointment when u can only call once I spoke to one the lady on the phone she just hang up and very rude .

Fantastic experience: Plush and her team was so nice and friendly . They are a great place to bring your kids for any dental work . They are fast , and very clean . Fantastic experience: My daughter and I have been going here since she was old enough to have dental appointments. She’s gotten a filling, they’ve fixed a broken tooth and every time we come we are greeted by the staff. Luciana is always there with a smile and great laugh and Norma sends some beautiful and kind reminder calls, ALWAYS. Kids don’t always like the dentist, but my kiddo looks forward to coming here. Plus, they decorate every season and it always looks so fun and festive!
