Fantastic experience: The staff is amazing, so professional and gentle! I don’t like needles and dentists scare me! Today I had two fillings replaced! I never felt a thing! The dentist and his assistant kept checking on me to make sure I was comfortable. It was over before I knew it! Thank you Riggs Family dental!

Still very happy here. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr Lopez is kind, friendly, and gentle. He ha never recommended to me any procedures that are not needed. I recommend him highly!! Update 12/12/24, Had my 6 month checkup yesterday, I’m still very happy here. My hygienist and Dr Lopez were friendly and thorough as always. 6-11-25, great check up, great experience as always! Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at Riggs Dental – Gilbert location. From start to finish, everyone was amazing. Emily (front) deserves a shoutout for calling with appointment reminders and helping schedule visits that actually fit my time (which is rare these days!). Brenda, my favorite hygienist, is the real MVP. She’s meticulous, thorough, super knowledgeable, and the main reason I keep coming back (that and it’s close to my house ). Keep it up, girl! Pricilla, the dental assistant—let’s talk about hands. We’ve all had that dental visit where you leave feeling like you got punched in the face… this was NOT that. Her hands are super gentle, and she explains everything she’s doing so you’re never guessing. And Dr. Lopez—gentle hands, very knowledgeable, and walks you through everything without making it complicated. Overall, one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. If you have teeth issues, who you gonna call? RIGGS DENTAL!!!

Negative experience: Worst dentist I have ever been too just went to a new dentist and the Riggs family dental did a horrible job on my fillings where there is a legit small hole in one of my teeth from them not filling it up right, and they would not clean my teeth said I need a “deep cleaning” to get money out of me, when I went to the new one they gave me a discount price on a first cleaning and is now my primary dentist do not go to the riggs family dental.

Fantastic experience: I have 3 fears… spiders, heights and dentists and not in that particular order! I recently had to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and was beyond stressed and scared. Let me just say that Riggs Family Dental was amazing in working with my real fear! I recommend them to all and anyone whether you don’t have a problem with dentistry or if you have a paralyzing fear, like me. They are fantastic to work with - an amazing staff throughout the building!!

Appt 11-11/25, Danielle has been my hygienist for several years now and her work is excellent. Great cleanings, minimal discomfort, plus many good tips about oral hygiene. I recommend her highly.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! The staff is amazing! Every single staff member that I spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. I went in for basic dental concerns, but I also had a broken tooth. I was feeling insecure and self-conscious of my smile, but when I left….my confidence was back at 100%, they are supportive, nonjudgmental and will definitely set you up for success. Plus, every single staff member has an amazing personality! This will definitely be my dentist till the end!

Negative experience: Rodney Hicks, spouse of Bruce Jones. Called today to schedule a routine cleaning and was advised that a deep cleaning was required due to a previous visit-diagnosis. Amanda (staff member) indicated they could not do a routine cleaning, per my request. As a patient, with dental insurance, and in good standing, I should have been informed by the physician of this decision/policy. As a patient, it’s important for me to know and understand my medical condition and be part of any decisions regarding my care. I’ll be looking for a new doctor/office for my dental care. So frustrating!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dental office for many reasons. The staff is incredibly kind, professional and helpful. I have extreme high anxiety when it comes to dentist. This was the 1st time ever that I did not feel anxious nor did my blood pressure shoot up. Danielle and Dr. Bailey were so understanding to my anxiety and made me feel so calm. This was also the first time I had a thorough exam. They explained everything to me and also let me know what they were doing every step of the way. When it came time review my dental plan cost, Myrna was so helpful in exposing the best option for me. I can’t say enough good things about this practice!

So much of dental care is now hygienists, technology, office personnel and a welcoming environment. Having had my first experience with Riggs Family Dental today, I came away completely satisfied. The staff was friendly, accommodating, professional and made efforts to be sure I was comfortable. My hygienist did a great job on my intake procedure as well as my initial exam and cleaning. I have been a patient at Riggs Family Dental for going on two years. I had another quality visit today. I have had great care each and every visit. 7/30/25. Another quality appointment at Riggs family dental. Had a good consultation with Dr. Bailey. I’ve got some additional work coming up. Dr. Bailey gave me options and advice but left the decision completely to me.

Fantastic experience: I am a long established patient. Yesterday I chipped a front tooth and called around 1PM to see about an appointment to fix it. No pain, no rush. They fit me in at 3PM, brought me right back when I arrived and had me all fixed up and out the door by 3:30. Great service from a great practice.

Fantastic experience: My recent visit to Riggs Family Dental I had two crowns replaced. The new crowns were fitted easily. I’m hyper sensitive with pain and I was offered a short term anesthesia. That was helpful. I have also had dental cleaning . The procedure was carried out with care. This dental office is calm with a friendly, and professional dentist and staff. I had almost no wait in the lobby area. I will definitely have Riggs Family Dental take care of my dental needs from here on out.

Fantastic experience: Good Service Today. Yesterday I received my best Christmas gift of 2023. Dr Lopez, after taking care of a chipped tooth, chatted with me for a minute and I asked him a question about one of my front teeth that had been bothering me. I said that the next time I was in he could take care of it for me. He very nicely said he could "take care of it right now". Well, I left his very busy office with the biggest smile on my face. Fantastic experience: Just had first appointment. Every thing was superb. Dr. Lopez seems to be a highly skilled dentist. I think I made a good choice. Update: Had follow up visit. He discovered a number of problems that my previous dentist missed. Discussed treatment options with me and came up with a plan. The cost was fair in my opinion. He did a number of fillings and was very attentive to my comfort level. Local anesthetic shots were painless. I’m a healthcare professional myself and very pleased with Dr Lopez.

Negative experience: I do not recommend bringing children to this practice. Even Though it says “Family practice”, the doctor’s bedside manner is not kid friendly. You will most likely be referred if there is any cavity issue, might as well go to a pediatric office instead.

Negative experience: Yeah, I didn’t have a very good experience. I canceled an early appointment at my doctors office so that I could be there in time for my appointment but when I got there, they made me wait 20 minutes was not a good start. I would’ve known they were gonna make me wait 20 minutes I wouldn’t have canceled my other appointment. That wasn’t a good start. Fantastic experience: Riggs family dental knocked it out of the park! Upon arrival I was greeted with warm smiles and greetings from the entire staff! The assistants are well trained and clearly know what they are doing and Dr Bailey was very thorough in explaining my options. The finance department was also very thorough in explaining numbers, insurance and options. The biggest thing for me was they took their TIME with me. I didn’t feel like I was on a rotation belt… being rushed in and out like a machine. I felt valued. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lopez and his staff have taken care of our family for many years. He took wonderful care of my mom who had traumatic experiences as a child going to the dentist. He was so very kind, patient and gentle with her. The staff is always so friendly and clinically thorough. So grateful to have a wonderful provider we all like and trust which is really difficult to find.

Negative experience: Disappointed. Down from 2 stars from 5 stars. Hygienist was a bit rough. I requested topical anesthesia for my cleaning. She proceeded without it during the probing. I had to ask again for topical. She didn't apologize for any irritation or pain she caused prior to the topical or even during the exam. No apron was placed over me during the xrays either. There was obvious lack of communication between my dentist and periodontist. The dentist office didn't seem to be aware of the schedule between visits with the periodontist or my prognosis or plan of treatment. The receptionist was asked for water as the fridge was empty. She was "oh well" with her response to the client who asked for water. It was a warm day and the client was obvious in need. Just the overall lack of concern from the staff was very disappointing. I used to think this office was great now I'm thinking of finding a new dentist.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalled by my experience at Riggs Dental with Dr. Porter. I came in with a genuine and respectful concern about receiving an x-ray, hoping to have an open dialogue about my care. Instead of being met with professionalism or compassion, Dr. Porter was shockingly rude and dismissive. He outright told me that my idea of receiving care “doesn’t match” their way of practicing and gave me an ultimatum: either take the x-ray or get out. No attempt to educate me, no space for discussion—just arrogance and hostility. I’ve never felt more disrespected or unwelcome in a healthcare setting. Fantastic experience: I became a patient when I moved to Chandler 6 years ago. Dr Lopez and his entire staff at great. I visit both locations and have had a lot of dental work done and have been very happy with the quality and everyone’s friendliness. Would highly recommend!
