Fantastic experience: I bring my 6 year old son here and have been for about 2 years. The Hygienist is amazing and explains everything she’s doing so he does not get scared. She is so kind and always smiling. Dr. Hardik is very friendly gentle and very informative. I’ve asked him questions as far as spacers to braces and speech impediments. He answered and advised me. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and comfortable.

The dental hygienist does not only clean my teeth but also teaches me the science behind dental cleaning. Never had a pushy experience for any services provided. The dentist has always been honest and friendly.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience here recently. Total time for a routine cleaning was 2 hours. They do not employee dental hygienists everyday of the week so the dentist himself does cleaning. The dentist did not explain my xrays to me and just said I have many cavities that need filling. When I consulted a different dentist, these "cavities" are not there. I had to return for a filling that had fallen out and waited another hour and was never seen by the dentist. I could not wait any longer. No staff explained my insurance to me which would have been very helpful information. I do not recommend this dentist. The only good person there was Ashanti who was so sweet and kind to me and tried her best to make me feel comfortable.

Negative experience: My son had his wisdom teeth removed here. The surgeon who performed the extractions was a consulting Dentist for this office and he was amazing. We could not have had a better experience anywhere else. However, the General Dentist tells us my son, had five cavities. I was not going with that and we’ve got a second opinion and he had two. It was a little suspicious because when I asked if they were going to offer numbing agent, they said no his cavities were too shallow.

Fantastic experience: Very kind and excellent service. Very patient with me. I was late to two appointments and they were very patient with me and gave me the opportunity to see the doctor even though I was late. Very grateful and excellent work and treatment.

Negative experience: Beware! I went in to have my teeth cleaned. Of course they said I needed a power cleaning . That night I woke up with one side of my face on fire. I have never felt pain like that. I had to wait three days to get in. The indifference from the dentist was amazing. He gave me a prescription sent me home never telling me it was an infection Four days later after continual pain I had to go to the hospital for emergency surgery.. I have missed four weeks of work and no telling what the surgery will cost. Go to real dentist!!

Fantastic experience: Experience was fantastic, first visit here after moving from out of state. Exam, explanation, and referral was through and efficient.

Negative experience: Dr. Hardik is too pressurizing to extract money from the patients. It seems he is hyping all the symptoms and trying to suggest treatments event when it's not required. It feels hard to trust the dentist when his primary motivation seems $$ and not the true wellbeing of his patients.

Fantastic experience: I had a total of 3 visits to take care of my dental needs with also a cleaning. Each visit was thorough and Doctor B is professional, kind and works quickly to remove any anxiety or excess time in the chair. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and he literally had me in and out of the chair in under 12 minutes. It was amazing!!! Some subsequent fillings were much the same. He does a through and time efficient job. I experienced zero pain and had no follow-up issues. I’d recommend giving Gums and Smiles Dentistry in Leander an opportunity when you need dental work. I have been impressed with the entire staff as all have been friendly, prompt and professional.

Negative experience: Well we have only been here for 2 visits after switching and both appointments 2 hours with my boys and the environment wasn’t clean at all! Lobby nor the restrooms… so I’m not impressed as I am a cleaner and pay attention to these things as this is what we as public sees what do the hygiene standards are

Negative experience: I would give this place 0 stars. I had a tooth infection and a broken tooth. They told me it would cost an insane amount to pull it out the same day and my insurance would not cover it. Also they never provided me with a dental clearance dealing with my health issues I needed one before any work was done. They just wanted to take it out the same day without me getting a dental clearance when I informed them of my chronic health issues and they just wanted the money the same day. I took all of the antibiotics and waited to see if it would be covered but they informed me they never heard anything back. I called my dental insurance and they said that my tooth could be extracted without an authorization and I needed the service code for the numbing shot. Gums and smiles informed me they could NOT give the service code for the numbing shot. They gave me the service code for the UN covered plan of laughing gas and bone graft but not the code for the numbing shot which I NEVER asked for. My dental Insurance stated they ARE allowed to give the service codes when requested. Marsha was very rude on the phone every day when I’d call to see if it was approved she’d say they heard nothing back and was very unprofessional and rude. I would not trust them doing dental work on me so watch out if you get dental work done here! YOU WILL BE SCAMMED!!! I ONLY WANTED A NUMBING SHOT AND AN EXTRACTION NOTHING EXTRA THAT THEY HAD ON THEIR PLAN!!!! Call your insurance and see what is truly covered! Ask for the service codes! Do not let them take your money! And if you have health issues a dental clearance is needed before any dental work. The comment below me is wrong and I already informed my insurance of the unprofessional manner and steps they took. I have a new dentist that asked for a dental clearance due to my health issues, did the extraction and the numbing shot at NO COST by my insurance.

Fantastic experience: They were amazing. I have super bad dental anxiety and they were super comforting. They let me know what I needed and were not judgmental at all. I have not seen a dentist since 2019 due to a super bad experience. However, Gums and Smiles for sure made me feel comfortable. My dental assistant was really amazing and super nice and the Dentist came in and he also reassured me that all was going to be fine. Really can’t thank them enough.

Positive experience: Nice enough but the dentist does his own cleanings. He really needs an employee that does them. He isn’t good at it and drowns me every time. It is bad enough I dread a cleaning visit though I haven’t dreaded any when I was with a different dentist.
