Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office is very personable friendly and caring. I went in to the office to get a deep cleaning on my teeth. And I was introduced to the hygienist. Furwa i was going to do my deep cleaning. She was amazing, amazing, amazing, personable, caring, she made sure every time that I was okay. We had a nice conversation. I told her that i'm never scared of dentists. She did great cleaning. I was really impressed by her and prior to me leaving, I told the whole office how amazing she was. She deserves a powwow.. Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to the Smilist. My friend recommended me to go as she had a great experience here. Shout-out to Kacey my hygienist. She was incredible, very knowledgeable, great conversationalist and can definitely make someone who is scared to go more at ease with her friendliness. I've gone to other dentist and they did not explain to me in detail about treatment plan as the Smilist RVC did. Will definitely be going back!

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning this morning with the dental hygienist Casey. She was so friendly, kind and most importantly patient. She listened to my concerns and treated me accordingly. After the cleaning Dr. Burack came into see me and she was also extremely lovely and made me feel like she wanted to help and was listening to me. I felt I was handled with care by both of them! This was my second time there. The first time I saw Dr. Funk who was in also felt listened to me and handled me with care !

Fantastic experience: Went for routine exam. Surprised to get a different hygienist but Polly was very patient, caring and thorough. The staff routinely does a Perio check. Always glad to have Dr. Bazra follow-up.My crown for a cracked tooth is working well.

Negative experience: I was trying to get an appointment here and I received an automated text to set up an appointment so I said OK . I filled it out, and then afterwards I discovered I had to change my appointment. Turns to find out I am ‘not found in the system’. Thank God I didn’t deal with the forms like I see someone else it is 500 of those. They also don’t have appointments on Saturdays. Ridiculous. I will find a legit place to take my services.

Fantastic experience: A most professional atmosphere, along with a compassionate as well as friendly staff. Dr Funk has a manner that sets you at ease, even while sitting in that mysterious dental chair. He's talented and makes the whole process seem almost comfortable., Thanks to all!

Fantastic experience: Great dental clinic. Dr. Funk is the best dentist in Rockville Centre and perhaps the best on Long Island. He is a very skilled dentist and I had 4 implants done and he did the crown and abutment. They have a net work of oral surgeons as well. I would recommend The Smilist to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Went online to make an appointment on Wednesday. Got to see the dentist Friday morning. ( The amount of forms I had to fill out was a bit ridiculous) But at least 99% of the paperwork was done before my visit. Quick, Easy, and virtually painless the doctor extracted my upper wisdom tooth. He even gave me a pain prescription for later on which I didn’t even need. Very professional and the cost was a lot less than I expected ( No Dental Insurance) My next visit will be in a few days for two cavities that need attention. I feel very confident in the dentists abilities and highly recommend the Smilest ( reminds me of “The Old Smiler” from It’s a Mad Mad World) to anyone who needs dental work done.

Negative experience: If you can avoid this place at all cost please do. I’ve never dealt with a dentist that is so unprofessional and money hungry. Will constantly keep saying you owe money even when you have proof everything was paid for. I haven’t been there for a few months due to an extreme surgery. So I had to pause on any treatments that was paid for ahead of time, because they kept saying no work can be done until full payment. Following this year another $490 is due after paying well over $5,000. This is including me not having no insurance. Today I visited the office July 30th, 2025 at 11:50 AM. First when I called earlier that morning to say I would be running late the women at the front desk who answered didn’t even say “Good morning” or had any welcoming acknowledgment. Then hangs up the phone. As I get there asking the questions I needed to about be over charged the lady at the front desk acted as if she didn’t want to deal with me, so we had to talk to the other women who has been there from when i first started and who was the lady to give us the bill. She kept asking for my insurance which had nothing to do with why I keep getting over charged, and work is not being done. Then decided to go back and fourth. When I said im not giving my insurance to her and not paying anymore money because they already overcharging and it’s a lot of work that has not been done. She says “Well go to the back and get billed” very nasty attitude. I do not know her name but she is the only Hispanic women who was there with a mask on. Her behavior is so disgusting. This place is money grabbers. With front desk receptionist who are very nasty and rude. Once they get your money they are very nasty afterwards. If I wasent a person with my skin color im sure I would’ve been treated way differently.

Fantastic experience: As someone who can get very anxious going to the dentist (even with very healthy teeth) the staff was so kind and Furwa went out of her way to repeatedly ensure that I was ok. The dentist Dr Basra was also great. He did not try to pressure me into unnecessary procedures as I have encountered elsewhere. Will definitely return and recommend.

Fantastic experience: Have been traveling from Huntington to the Smilist Rockville Center for years now and still make the trip to see their Hygienist, Roberta W. who continues to do a great job keeping my teeth in excellent condition and advise on how to continue in that direction.

Fantastic experience: Dr Funk is a great dentist. Even though I have only been to him a few times since finding him after my former dentist retired, I can tell that he is a caring and gentle dentist. He has explained different options to me for an issue in my mouth and how it would be proper to have implants to correct my problem. I highly recommend him. Update: after 2 years + with Dr Funk, he has fitted me for one partial bridge on implants (done elsewhere) and i am now in the middle of a refurbismlhment of another partial bridge. His work is excellent and he is a caring dentist.

Negative experience: Avoid this place at all cost because it will literally cost you more than what they originally tell you. I went in for a procedure and made payment on the spot only to receive a bill in the mail a month later demanding more money. Place is one big scam. Never ran into this problem ever with any other medical provider.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Burack and her team. I was impressed by the gentle, thorough care and clear communication throughout. The visit was smooth, painless, and expertly done. What really stood out was Dr. Burack’s calm, compassionate approach—I felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. Highly recommend if you're looking for a skilled and thoughtful dentist. I actually look forward to going back!

Negative experience: If I could give zero I would. With that said paid over 500 dollars for something they said would only take two weeks over a month and half later still not complete. Now they are talking I need to go to a specialist when none of the was discussed at last appointment. They said 500 was total cost. I still have three week to next appointment. Over two months for a max two week procedure. The front desk is some the most unfriendly people around. I guess it’s a lesson learned and $500 down the drain.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the work Dr. Basra did. He allowed me to put my hand up to have him stop if needed/ uncomfortable at all. I have bad sinuses so the mouth holder coupled with some water going down my throat wasn't pleasant. So he let me get a breather here and there. No pain, little bit after soreness but overall a good experience. And would recommend him to others looking for a new dentist. Staff is very friendly, and his dental assistant was very helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: Arnold Funk is the best dentist I ever had. He took care of my teeth. Helped me when I needed it. Never hurt me and was always kind. His assistant Patty is wonderful and fun and sweet. I’ve known them both for 40+ yrs. The front staff is helpful and attentive and friendly too!

Fantastic experience: I have gone to The Smilist Dental this past week and had a great visit. I was very nervous and this is the first time I have been to a different dentist in over thirty years. From the first phone call, through the x-rays, to my cleaning with Roberta and meeting my new dentist, I was made very comfortable. I also felt they were very knowledgeable and shared important information with me. I am very happy I chose The Smilist.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in many years but Roberta made my visit, not only easy but even relaxing! Can’t wait to go back and fix all my tooth problems here. I feel much better about it now! Roberta explained everything thoroughly and even had front desk give me the costs before moving forward so there were no surprises. Very pleased with my visit.

Negative experience: The experience itself went well. My problem is with the billing department. I was charged 591 dollars out of pocket for a cleaning and routine checkup, was told I’d get a refund once they charged my insurance…it’s been 4 months and my insurance was charged. I’ve called and called and called for my refund, the office manager, Jennifer, is impossible to get in contact with. She refunded a random sum of 187 dollars to me a little over a week ago, been calling to see where the remaining 400 dollars is and literally no one will get back to me. If these people owe you money, good luck with getting it back.

Fantastic experience: Smilist Rockville Centre and all the staff are outstanding! Greeted with a smile and you never have to wait to be seen. Hygienist does an excellent job cleaning my teeth. She is very friendly and professional. Takes the time to answer all my questions. Doctors are very friendly and patient. In all the years I have been with Smilist RVC, I never had one complaint!

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment for the very first time, which was extremely easy because I was able to fill the forms out on line before going in and when I got there, the staff was extremely welcoming. The Dentist who cleaned my teeth was a blessing, I felt at ease and comfortable. As she worked on the cleaning she explained everything to me and when she was done I met the Dr who went over everything that needed to be done. I left there making an appointment for my son and plans to make one for my husband. Our family has found a home here. Thank God.

Fantastic experience: The Smilist Dental, Rockville Centre was highly recommended to me by my brother. When I found out that they took my insurance, I booked an appointment. I have to say… My brother was absolutely right. Like always. The doctor was so knowledgeable and explained what was going on with the problem I was having (an abscess along my gum line) in a way that was so easy to understand. And the hygienist that performed my cleaning was fabulous. Really performed a great cleaning and without any pain. The whole staff, for that matter, were so nice and helpful! I wanted to write this review to let everyone know that if you choose this group of professionals to perform your oral care needs, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Great and friendly service from walking in the door to walking out. Dr Funk is fast, efficient and the procedures are painless. His Assistant Patty and Dr Funk work in perfect harmony that gets you in and out feeling great. I also use Lili for cleanings and she is understanding and gets your teeth in Hollywood shape. I highly recommend this office for your dental needs, my whole family uses Dr Funk and they are very pleased.

Fantastic experience: A first time patient at this location and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. Great Parking behind the building. The facility is super neat and clean and even had some decent music playing in the lobby. As soon as I checked in I was called into the room to begin my cleaning and X-rays. The Hygienist was extremely nice and gentle. Dr. basra was also nice and gentle. Very honest with me and was able to tell me right away what treatment I needed. Highly recommend and will be a returning patient.

Negative experience: The appointment system for the Smilist is abysmal. I make appointments 6 months in advance and for the 3rd straight time, I received a text the day before my appointment(in one instance it was a day of the appointment ) and my scheduled time is changed. This time the appointment was rescheduled by over 1 hour and 20 minutes and now during the workday. I called the office to find out why my appointment was changed on such short notice and was told that because I made an online appointment that they have to "fit me in". After a 2 minute discussion about the problems of making online appointments, I had to correct the receptionist and tell her my appointment was made in person. The personnel and dentists are all nice people and execute their jobs well but the appointment system is an abject failure and hasn't been attended to for as long as I can remember. Very disappointing as the service is important and they seem to be unconcerned with the deep flaws of their booking service.

Fantastic experience: I've been with the Smilist for a number of years, and rightfully so, because I always feel right at home. Its a fine facility with a very cordial staff. I'm not familiar with the "chairside" manner of all the other dentists, but if my dentist Dr. Funk is among them, I'm certain he's in great company. I've been with him before he joined The Smilist Group, and my family and I respect him highly. One of my sons was pleased with an orthodontist he was seeing there as well. So... Try them out for yourselves. I'm always commended on my smile, so there you have it. As my husband would say, "Be TRUE to your teeth or they'll be FALSE to you!" That's most important!

Negative experience: The cleanings and overall dental work was fine. The issue was they constantly try upselling EVERYTHING. Tried getting me to buy an electric toothbrush and mouth guard every time I was there even though I needed neither. They also tried to do X-rays way more than my insurance paid and would schedule appointments earlier than six months which resulted in me having to pay out of pocket. Overall the vibe seems more focused on making money than taking care of patients.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Basra today for the first time. Dr Basra was very professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable. Although the initial shot to numb my gums was painful but that soon went away, and I felt no pain. He was very attentive, always asking if I'm ok. I have had other Dentist at another place that absolutely did not have this caring side of them. Dr. Basra does. The office and the dental rooms are extremely clean and all of the tools that are used, are sanitized. The staff are extremely warm, inviting and are very professional. Any questions or concerns they go above and beyond to answer in a timely and efficient manner. They are extremely generous with the time they spend with you, making you feel like you are the only one there, and making sure that you leave happy and satisfied with the experience you had that day, which is so very refreshing when so many businesses out their don’t give you the level of service that goes above and beyond where you walk away so extremely pleased and happy like The Smilist gives you. I have experienced this firsthand each and every time. I want to thank the whole staff at The Smilist for all that you have done for me and my daughter, we could not have been any happier for all that you have done for us, it is very much appreciated. I also want to give a very special thank you to a truly wonderful person who always welcomed me, took the time to listen to any concerns if any that I had, and graciously and patiently answered any questions that I had, all the while making sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Her name is Furwa, and honestly I can’t say enough amazing things about her, and equally I can’t thank her enough. Furwa’s caring nature and glowing personality, makes you feel comfortable and at ease when your getting work done, She always goes above and beyond to not only make sure you had a pleasant visit, but she is the type of person that truly cares and wants you to walk out of The Smilist with a happy outlook on your day and on your life. I can’t thank Furwa enough for all that she has done for me, and I ask management to recognize Furwa for the exceptional job that she does, as well as the exceptional person that she is. All of the staff at The Smilist, are truly wonderful and caring people who go above and beyond, and I could never see myself going anywhere else. Honestly they are truly the best and way above the rest.

Fantastic experience: Coming from some really bad dental experiences, this time was a great experience. I didn't feel like I was getting wheeled and dealed as soon as i sat down. Dr. Barsa was a calming and knowledgeable Dentist, he gave me options and didn't try to give me extra work or make me feel bad for not keeping up with the work I knew i needed. The dental Asst. Carmen was wonderful! I will be going back and making this office my new dental place!

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in the assistant talked me thru the x-rays and what she was doing being very informative, then the female dentist came in qith more detailed information and answered all of my questions concerns even though it was busy, it was nice to be valued. Definitely recommend here if u want to be appreciated, your money, time and questions answered fully!!!

Fantastic experience: Roberta is a fabulous dental technician, who has meticulously surveyed and cleaned my mouth and teeth over the last couple of years. When I discussed the role of Covid with Roberta, she explained to me she spent two months establishing protocol for working with patients and staff. This was impressive to me! Her work, along with my dentist Dr. Arnold Funk are an unbeatable Dental Team. I highly recommend them both. The new Laser procedure has helped improve the condition of my gums. To me , this leading technology is critically important in the ongoing battle to keep my dental health on an upward path. JFP

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jagan evaluated my tooth pain, able to diagnose the issues and began tackling them in the same visit. She was professional, had all the TLC touches to my exam and developed a plan for future oral care. Amazing dentist!

Fantastic experience: The entire team from the women who work the front desk to the dental hygienist to the dentist are all very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough . I always feel apprehensive about a visit to the dentist but they make the entire experience very relaxing and agreeable . My last visit was one of the best , I had put off going for awhile but they put me at ease and addressed numerous issues I had been neglecting, and it was the most painless teeth cleaning i ever had , I'm more inclined to maintain my regular schedule now . Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: My children and I have been at the smilist for all our Dental needs since 2016. The staff is wonderful and professional. Dr Feldman is exceptional. He's the best Dentist. He makes you feel comfortable, confident and he empathizes and is accommodating with whatever problems one has.
