Negative experience: UPDATE (SEVERAL MONTH'S LATER) ... I WAS CONTACTED BY THE OFFICE MANAGER AND SHE ASKED MANY QUESTIONS AND APOLOGIZED. I APPRECIATE BEING SEEN. AND I FELT AS MUCH. AND JUST BECAUSE IT WAS TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE (AND TO BE FAIR), I ENDED UP SCHEDULING MY FOLLOW UP TO PUT THE POST 6 MONTHS WHEN IT CAME TIME TO DO SO. THE SAME DOCTOR DID THE PROCEDURE, WHICH I AM FINE WITH. I AM NOT GOING TO DELETE THE REVIEW BUT I WILL NOTE THE FOLLOW UP WAS 4-5 STAR. WE ALL HAVE OUR GOOD AND BAD DAYS ETC. SO THAT'S MY ADDENDUM 8 MONTHS LATER (-: ORIGINAL REVIEW: My experience was not like these 5 star reviews. I had a not so great experience about 7 years ago (where I was accidentally stabbed with a needle in the lip) and some other things but decided to give them another chance. It’s three months out now and I’m still dealing with pain associated with the procedure. I’m not blaming them for doing anything wrong or my health issues that increased the pain, dry socket, and now spicules. It’s the lack of heads up as to that some of these things were likely to happen, due to some things the doc saw during the procedure, according to him but told to me weeks later. I ended up with Shingles on my face where the surgery was. So I’m not blaming them. It’s just the matter-of-fact lack of empathy or compassion. They are like robots. Or act like you are a wimp. I was not going to write a review, but then three plus months out I get an automated text saying “time to set up your next stage appointment”. So I called and said “just letting you know I can’t do the followup appointment cause I’m still in too much pain.” And the person on the phone goes “okay. We will call you in a month.” No interest at all in my well being. It must be in my chart that I’m high maintenance or something. Cause that was the response as she looked up my chart. So I don’t get it all. Sorry I didn’t meet your expectations as a patient.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE the surgeons and staff at Utah Surgical Arts. I am well acquainted with them, having had several experiences in their office. I'm always a little on edge getting extractions and implants, but they always set me at ease by explaining what's being done and encouraging me with the progress of the procedure. Dr Brown did 2 extractions this past Monday and did a fabulous job of being professional in his expertise and having the perfect bedside manner. Although I hate having work done in my mouth, I will always be confident at Utah Surgical Arts, knowing that I'm in good hands with their professionalism, great care, and gentle bedside manner. Thank you UTSA!

Fantastic experience: Working as a dental hygienist for over a decade, we would always refer our patients here for wisdom teeth removal. So when it came time for my son to have his wisdom teeth out, of course we went here! :) Dr Park was so kind, informative, and friendly! His assistant was also amazing to work with before and after the surgery! I was really worried because we took too long to get him in and his root development was right up against the nerves. Dr. Park informed us there was some risk of nerve damage but if he thought it was too risky, he wouldn't extract those bottom teeth. Thankfully it all went great and all four teeth were extracted with no issues whatsoever after surgery! It always brings peace of mind to know you and your family are in competent hands!

Fantastic experience: Time was taken to inform me of what they were going to do. The procedure was accomplished quickly with no pain. I was given all information for my recovery in a way I could understand and remember. I had very little anxiety before during or after the procedure.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend, Dr. was very informative, and the staff was very Welcoming. As far as the Surgery itself, it all went great I was extremely nervous but they made feel better mins prior the surgery. It went by super fast and luckily didn’t get Dry Socket!!

Fantastic experience: Our family has had a wonderful experience every time we have been in to this office. Both Dr. Harris and Dr. Park have helped us with wisdom teeth extractions on two of my kids. I went in once thinking I needed some extensive work on my own tooth. They were completely honest with me and didn't do the "service" I was begging for. It turned out to be an easy fix and they could have easily taken advantage of the situation. Their prices have always beat the competitors and for that price I feel like we got the most professional expert help available!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had to have a K9 extracted that was coming in wrong. She was super nervous but they made her feel super comfortable. Before and after, they were very informative on instructions and how the procedure would go during and after. All the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend and will be going back if needed.

Fantastic experience: yesterday I got my wisdom teeth out. I was very very scared. But when I walked in I was greeted with smiles this instantly put my fears at ease, and knew I would be in good hands. I had the most friendly fantastic assistants and doctors. Fantastic experience: Excellent! I’ve used his partner, Dr Harris, for many years for me, my children, and also my elderly mother. We have always received great care! This time the partner wasn’t available so I tried Dr Park. He was also excellent! I highly recommend him! They are very professional and very caring. All of the office help was great! Dr Park and Dr Harris are both excellent!!

Fantastic experience: If I could give a 10 star review I would. Dr. Wood is amazing. He made my six-year-old son feel extremely comfortable and safe. He did an incredible job, and I would recommend him to anyone. Simply the best in the business.

Fantastic experience: We’ve taken all 5 of our kids here for wisdom teeth removal, and our youngest just had hers done. Dr Holladay is so friendly and put our anxious teen at ease. The office staff is so helpful and answered all of our questions thoroughly from scheduling to followup. We love that they offer IV sedation and that the facility is so clean and nice. We highly recommend Dr Holladay and Utah Surgical Arts team.

Fantastic experience: Five stars is exactly how I would rate my experience with Dr Holladay at Utah surgical Arts! I had wisdom teeth that should have been removed before my mission to the United Kingdom, but due to circumstances out side of my control I could not have them removed until 20 years after. They came in slow and never did I experience pain, or so I thought. In my older age I did develop really bad chronic headaches which I’ll discuss later. They were starting to impact so I scheduled my appointment and proceeded but was very nervous about the after pain during recovery as I am very busy and could not afford to be out of commission. I checked in laid down in the chair, Dr Holladay and his assistant were very careful to make sure I was comfortable and the next thing I knew, I was being helped to my car by my wife and the assistant in the most comfortable blanket I have ever felt like n my life (complementary of Utah Surgical Arts) I went home crawled into bed and woke up the next day having no numbness left in my mouth or on my face, it was then that I realized that my mouth felt relaxed! Relaxed? As it turned out I was in pain the whole time but now I felt great and my chronic head aches have not returned since. Such peace of mind and the best part I never felt pain in my mouth again, in fact I never had to take any of the pain medication that Dr Holladay prescribed for me. Now every time my wife or kids haven’t stolen my new complimentary blanket I sit with it on my lap and smile when I see it because it reminds me of just how sweet this whole experience was to me. I would recommend this fine establishment and its staff to anyone in need of oral surgery. Thank you Dr Holladay and Staff, you rock!

A very streamlined experience, and yet, at the same time, you didn't feel like you were just another number. Everyone was so personable, and the staff called to check on my son after his procedure to make sure he was doing well. This was my second child to have their wisdom teeth out with Dr. Park and I'll be sure to bring the rest of my kids here as well.

Fantastic experience: My daughter (16 years old) had a great experience getting her wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Holladay was kind, professional and easy to talk to. The surgery went quickly and we had good post surgery instructions. Besides normal swelling, my daughter recovered quickly and was back to her normal activities in about 5 days. I’d recommend Utah Surgical Arts.

Fantastic experience: Utah Surgical Arts is so good at what they do. Both Dr Holladay and his nurses were kind, attentive, straight forward, giving reassurance and all the information, allowing me to make a very informed decision on my treatment. On top of that, they made me very comfortable physically during the procedure and after. I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing Wisdom Teeth removal with Utah Surgical Arts. The staff was incredibly friendly when greeting me and walking me through all the processes. All the expectations and instructions were clear and concise, and I felt as though they genuinely cared about me as an individual person, not just a customer, the entire time.

Negative experience: Looking at the other reviews, I really hoped that we had had a 5-star experience at Utah Surgical Arts. I have an older daughter that had a couple teeth removed at this office ~7 or 8 years ago and I can't remember anything bad about that experience. However, I now have another daughter that needs to have a tooth removed and a chain placed on a permanent tooth to pull it out into the right position. Two to three weeks ago, I brought in the referral from our orthodontist and asked to get the codes for the surgery so I could know approximately how much it would cost. Our referral came with an x-ray and they said that that Xray should be sufficient. I verified this a couple times because my insurance will only cover one Xray every 3 years. We arrived to the pre-surgery consult today to find out that not only would the previous Xray not be sufficient, the doctor was requiring a 3d Xray that costs $120. This was incredibly frustrating because of the misinformation I had received before and because it meant that I had to make the decisions about whether to do the Xray and figuring out alternatives with little time and dealing with the poor cell service in their office. The one redeeming part of this experience is that while I was scrambling to talk with our dentist, insurance, and orthodontist to figure out an alternative that wouldn't cost $120 out of pocket, the office manager told me they would accept whatever my insurance would pay and wouldn't require us to pay the difference in order to complete the consult today. This is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. So, we went ahead and did the Xray so we could proceed with the consult. Then, while talking with the doctor, I was told that because of my daughter's age (which they knew when I scheduled the appointments and got the procedure codes weeks before) that they could not provide anesthesia in house but would have to have an external nurse anesthetist do the anesthesia. This nurse anesthetist doesn't accept any insurance so it will cost us an additional $550 out of pocket for the anesthesia above what they had said before. Because of all of the misinformation and excessive costs for us to do oral surgery at this office, we are now looking for other options. From looking at the other reviews, the odds are in your favor that you'll have a great experience if you choose to get your oral surgery done here. Or maybe other reviewers aren't aware of or don't bat an eye at additional costs of $650-700 out of pocket above what insurance covers and in addition to dental coinsurance. We will be looking into other providers ...

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Utah Surgical Arts. My daughter got her wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Brown and his entire staff were very kind and eased any concerns. They were very clear with after care instructions as well. Not only that but they had a bouquet of flowers delivered to our house the next day. Highly recommend them!

Positive experience: Great staff. Great doctor. Fast procedure. The only reason I am not giving five stars is the post procedure pain I went through. This is not the doctors fault, I am sure. However, I was not prepared for the pain that came with an extraction, two holes drilled and tapped, then implants put in with wratchet wrench! I have had much dental work done in my lifetime, but NOTHING came close to the 48 hours that followed! WOW! I am sure many patience have minimal pain afterwards, but I was not so lucky.

Fantastic experience: Both of my daughters needed their wisdom teeth removed. We love this office and have now seen 2 of the Dr’s in the office. We saw Dr Holladay this time and he was fantastic. Great consultation, he answered any questions we had, and the procedures were flawless. We received a follow up call that night to see how they were doing. My daughter lost a stitch and was concerned. We called the next morning, which was a Saturday. They answered the phone, took our information to relay to the Dr., and we got a response so quickly! We have had nothing but the best experience when we choose Utah Surgical Arts, and we highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, all were 100% willing to accommodate all our needs without any complications. Treated us like family and laughed with us like we were best friends. Loved the upbeat atmosphere, there attention to all our concerns and the comfort we felt to ease any anxiety in the air. Positive follow-up with sincere concern for my child recovery. Absolutely loved them! Will DEFINITELY go back with my other kids when it's time!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency tooth extracted and Utah Surgical Arts was phenomenal. They worked me in the same day. The staff was prompt and professional. I was able to get my tooth pulled prior to my major work trip and had minimal pain. I would highly recommend them for your dental work

Fantastic experience: Incredibly professional. They had all their procedures and processes very under control, and i felt incredibly at ease that they had the whole situation handled. I have severe anxiety about dental procedures, and getting a tooth extraction is a very intense experience. Everyone here was very understanding, professional, and caring when it came to my comfort. They took every opportunity to be accommodating and worked with me to choose the best course of action for my situation. Dental professionals at other offices will often not consider the stress and anxiety that comes with dental work and might provide a negative experience because they aren't as caring and gentle. That was not the case here. Can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I try to be careful about leaving 5-star reviews because I think it cheapens them otherwise. Utah Surgical Arts, though--I think they earned it. I took my daughter in for wisdom teeth removal. The office was clean and ran well, the staff was friendly and courteous, I felt we got good value for our money, too. The procedure was right on target for what I expected for time and complexity, and I felt informed about any potential risks, and the procedure itself went off without without a hitch. What moved it from a 4 to a 5-star rating, for me, was the excellent follow-up care they gave. It didn't feel like a "one and done," and that was great. I actually used U.S.A., myself, for an implant, and had the same, great experience. This was one of several options my local dentist recommended for this work, and I'm really glad I chose to use their services again. I actually would recommend them, and plan on taking my kids there for similar procedures when it's their turns.

Fantastic experience: Both Dr. Park and Dr. Brown are fabulous oral surgeons. We go to them for everything! It’s easy to make appointments and all of their staff is friendly and helpful. They are very thorough and send you instructions before your procedure and they make sure and follow up with an after visit call and instructional videos. They make oral surgery easy!

Fantastic experience: I called one other office that specializes in wisdom teeth removal and they wanted me to jump though a bunch of hoops to coordinate insurance. Utah Surgical Arts handled it all for me. The process was smooth and the staff was wonderful. They are definitely a 5 star company.

Fantastic experience: I've never used another office for wisdom teeth removal, so I don't have a comparison. However, I have liked this office. Dr. Brown is knowledgeable and shared his perspective with us about a separate problem at the wisdom teeth removal appointment that I appreciated having. My daughter said the surgical techs were kind and she liked the get-well flowers that were sent afterwards. I appreciated the after care information, supplies, and follow up phone calls. I recommend them. You can get a quote for the service when you book an appointment if you ask.

Fantastic experience: I went there to get my wisdom teeth removed after finding them through an online search. The process was smooth and easy. Everything was explained well, the pre-surgery process was easy. I was comfortable during it, and the recovery process was simple as everything was provided and spelled out for me. I would definitely recommend Utah Surgical Arts for your oral surgery needs.

Fantastic experience: I am a dental hygienist and I highly recommend Utah Surgical Arts. I’ve been referring patients to them for over 17 years. I refer multiple people everyday. They have taken care of many of my family members. The Doctors are highly educated and skilled. My patients never have complained. My daughter recently had her wisdom teeth removed. She had no complications and healed very quickly. The staff was very diligent and checked in multiple times. She also received flowers from the office. They go above and beyond for their patients!

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Park and was also seen about an infection in my jaw, and the service could not have been better. Fantastic experience: Dr. Holladay did an amazing job with my son’s surgeries and his instructions for recovery helped him heal quickly. His positive attitude and encouraging nature was especially appreciated right after the accident. In a time where my son could have felt afraid, he helped him to feel reassured and that everything was going to be OK.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time getting a dental implant from Utah Surgical Arts. The first time I went, I had already experienced 3 failed attempts at an implant to replace a baby tooth from a different provider & experienced a lot of trauma from medicine wearing off before everything was complete. Getting IV sedation made it so I skipped triggering that trauma and gave me a head-start at healing instead. I really appreciated the flowers the office sent the next day. It was a thoughtful and kind gesture that also helped my recovery. Thank you for caring about your patients beyond the day of surgery.

Fantastic experience: They were so nice to me and removed 4 of my wisdom teeth. They played my favorite music for my anxiety and comforted me the whole time with blankets and the kindest nurse ever! I can’t remember her name but she was GOLD! they also sent me flowers and a get well card from the doctor and ladies at the Provo office! Thank you guys

Fantastic experience: The staff was outgoing and very friendly, they answered our questions in a way we could understand. The Dr. was comfortable to be around and explained exactly what was going to happen in the procedure. We didn't have to wait long. The recovery went exactly as they said it would. Overall it was a very good experience. We are taking our boys there to get there wisdom teeth out next year.

Fantastic experience: Five stars isn't enough to say how wonderful this team is!! I have had three procedures done there (extractions and implant prep) and every experience has been great. I have had some significant dental trauma in the past, so it means the world to be in such exceptionally skilled hands AND to be in the care of such a warm and personable team--both medical and administrative. (My recent triple extraction and implant work has been done at the Provo location with wonderful Dr. Park.) I always feel completely at ease and well cared for. I also appreciate their financial transparency, including researching the amount that will be covered by my insurance. Everything is disclosed up front so there are no surprise bills after the fact. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Utah Surgical Arts was wonderful! After my wisdom teeth removal surgery they made me feel safe and my nurse was with me all the way until i left home which was nice! Once i got home i received a phone call from them to see how i was doing which also really meant alot to me. If i had my wisdom teeth in still, i’d choose them again!

Fantastic experience: This was our 4th child to have their wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Parks. He is the very best and we trust him 100%. My kids have never had an infection or dry socket. The office staff is friendly and caring and I love the follow up calls after surgery.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Park did a great job assessing a long-term problem tooth with the use of a dental CT scan. I wish I'd gone to him long, long (and lots of dollars) ago. I needed to have the tooth pulled, which wasn't my favorite thing ever, but it wasn't terrible either. I still have work ahead for an implant (looking forward to that--for real--I miss my tooth even if it was evil), but so far, so good. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I also appreciate that they gave me written prices before I committed to treatment. 10/2022 update. Had a problem with a wisdom tooth, so I had to return to Utah Surgical Arts for another extraction. Dr. Shiffler & his staff took good care of me.

Fantastic experience: I have a lot of anxiety around dentistry, to the point that I avoided getting my wisdom teeth removed for 3 years. The team here treated me with such empathy and kindness and really put me at ease through every step of the procedure. They even made sure to follow-up with me during the healing process and answered all of my questions. I would absolutely recommend going to Utah Surgical Arts!

Fantastic experience: I just had my first step of three to get some implants. They did some extractions and bone grafting for me. I had a fantastic experience from the consultation through the surgery and recovery. The staff is super kind and attentive. Dr. Brown was welcoming of all my questions and concerns and didn't feel in a rush to answer anything. My procedure went very well and recovery has been great! I would highly recommend Utah Surgical Arts!

Fantastic experience: Utah Surgical Arts was amazing. They were able to get both of my boys in at the same time so I didn't have to schedule them on different days. They were thorough in going over the procedure and what to expect afterwards. My boys have done very well since having their wisdom teeth extracted. Four of my five children have had their wisdom teeth removed at Utah Surgical Arts. I would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Office staff was very professional. My son & daughter gave both used Utah Surgical Arts for the extraction of their wisdom teeth. Dr Brown is very skilled. My children healed quickly, without complications. When I had a question about after surgery care and the staff was available to answer right away.

Negative experience: I would love to give this place 5 stars but unfortunately I cannot. The my nurse was very knowledgeable and sweet, the doctor was also knowledgeable and great bedside manner. However, on four separate occasions prior to my wisdom teeth removal, I asked to keep my teeth. I called twice a few weeks then days before, both women I spoke to confirmed that they noted this on my file. The day of, both the nurse and the doctor said they would keep my teeth for me. After the procedure was completed, I asked for my teeth and they said that they had thrown them away. Utah Surgical Arts Orem clearly lacks attention to detail. What if I had mentioned an allergy and they had forgotten? I would stay away from this office, especially if you’d like to keep your teeth.

Fantastic experience: The doctors and staff took great care of both of my kids. They called and checked on them after their surgery to make sure everyone was going well. Very thoughtful and aware of their patients that are nervous. Love this office! I definitely recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: This is the best oral surgery center in Utah county. From the kind and caring staff to the professional oral surgeon. I was very nervous going to have a implant started but the high level of care and concern I was given helped me feel more relaxed and comfortable. I’m would highly recommend the Utah Surgical arts.

Dr. Park and his team were caring, professional and wonderful to explain the procedure beforehand as well as the aftercare. Everyone was so kind, professional, patient, and informative. The office even sent her flowers after her surgery to wish her a quick recovery. I would highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her wisdom teeth taken out by Dr Harris. He was caring, kind and kept me informed. We had the consult with a different dr. When surgery day came, Dr Harris came to the waiting room to talk to me and to meet him, which I appreciated so much. My daughter had minimal pain after the procedure with no complications. I was very impressed with the whole experience, start to finish. I will definitely recommend this facility to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing team! When I arrived I had already been to my dentist in the morning, and a root canal specialist after that. It was determined two of my teeth needed to come out that day. That's how I ended up at Utah Surgical Arts. I didn't have an appointment but they saw I was in so much pain and they worked me in. Dr. Park tried everything he could to get my teeth numb so that he could remove them but they would not numb. He arranged for me to come back in the morning and he would remove them under anesthesia. Everyone, from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Park were just amazing; so kind and patient. If you are in need of an oral surgeon, believe me, this is where you want to be. On a scale of one to 10 they are an 11.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with all of the employees. As well as my doctor. I had my wisdom teeth out. The surgery was quick and easy. It has only been a week and a half and my mouth is already fully recovered. I definitely recommend this surgical office, as well as this doctor. And as an added bonus to even send me some flowers the next day.

Fantastic experience: I have dentophobia and had my wisdom teeth extracted at Utah valley surgical arts. I have NEVER had a good dental experience before this. I highly recommend them to anybody especially if you are nervous/fearful. I had a panic attack due to my phobia and they were very kind and professional. It seemed like they had training to handle such situations. I can't say enough good about them. They even sent flowers 2 days after my procedure wishing me well. Thank you Utah valley surgical arts!

Fantastic experience: I have a love hate relationship with dental work… But I absolutely love my treatment with Dr Park! He has always treated me with the utmost respect and has taken the best care of me. He makes me feel valued each time I have been in the office. I feel like he treats me the same as he would a family member, I trust him with all he has to do for my 2 implants. Great staff!

Fantastic experience: This place is fabulous for getting those wisdom teeth out! They go above and beyond to make sure the experience is a good one. They explain in detail what they are doing and how it should go and what risks your looking at. Then they follow up to see that your recovery is good. I have taken 5 kids to this group and have not had any problems. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Got my wisdom teeth out here a couple weeks ago by the recommendation of my dentist and sister in law, and I was not disappointed. They were very informative during my consultation giving me plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and even letting me know details I hadn't thought to ask. The surgery itself was quick and they sent me home with proper instruction to take care of my mouth afterwards. They even made sure to call a couple times to see how I was doing. If you're looking for a place to get some teeth pulled, this is the one to pick. Doctor Brown did an awesome job!

They were caring and I felt confident in their ability to do my implant. They walked me through the procedure so that I knew what to expect.
