Negative experience: Messed up my bite when they did a filling, went back several times and they couldn't fix it. Should've offered to pay for orthodontic treatment or a specialist of some kind because obviously they couldn't fix it. Mistakes happen and normally I wouldn't leave a review but they tried to give me a whole lot of B.S. about how the teeth need to settle and etc. (My dad is an orthodontist, threy were just making up complete lies about teeth trying to cover). It's disgusting that people think they can trick other ppl like this. Long story short, I went to another dentist and they not only redid the filling but they also fixed my bite. There are other, way better dentists closer by.

Negative experience: Wish i could leave zero stars. Avoid them, because they have allowed greed to replace compassionate care, which last time I looked, involved charging fees that actually made sense. I needed emergency care, but their policy apparently required them to inflict as much pain as possible, since sedation isn’t an option unless you make an appointment. Just because insurance or credit exists, shouldn’t allow charging the maximum amount possible. I walked out and found an oral surgeon that could do the work for less than 1/3 of what they wanted. Unbelievable.

Fantastic experience: GV Family Dental is honestly the best dentist I’ve been to and I’ve been to a number in moving to different areas and towns. They are the sweetest people and very educational during any treatment. They seem to love to build a friendship with their clients and I love it. They are very understanding in different financial hardship situations as well as payments in fees for missed appointments. I have referred a number of family members here because they are seriously great. If you are looking for a dentist office to help you feel comfortable and make you feel like family then you found them!

Fantastic experience: Had a sudden tooth ache. Grain Valley Family dental was able to get me in the same day. After some x rays it was determined I needed a root canal. They were able to do it the same day and sent me home with minimal discomfort. All better the next day. The dental assistant and Dr Palligrino were so kind and caring. I truly appreciate this team

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to have a tooth extracted and prepared for an implant in a few months. Very clean and attractive facility and everyone was very personable and professional. Dr. McClellan and his assistant put me at ease and the injection was not painful at all. I’ve had practically no pain with Ibuprofen and acetaminophen for a couple days, and no swelling at all. I give them 5 stars so far! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: I lost a crown over the weekend. Walked into the office on Monday morning to just try and make an appointment and walked out an hour later with my crown back in. They went above and beyond! This is the kind of thing that keeps my family going back!

Fantastic experience: Had some serious problems with dentist when I was younger. Haven't been to the dentist for 45 years. Had to this time, but starting with Cheyanne at the front desk to everyone was very nice and welcoming. I was introduced to everyone before we went into the room with all the dental gadgets. Got to go back three more times. It's something I have to do, but I won't mind with such nice people.

Fantastic experience: I was in desperate need of relief from tooth pain. After calling Grain Valley Family Dental, they got me in the next day. They did xrays and then a root canal the same day. Dr. McClellan and Crystal were amazing!! Very kind, understanding and knowledgeable. Seriously never so excited about having a root canal done. I had been living off of ibuprofen & Tylenol and am just very thankful to them. Definitely recommend this office!! They were all wonderful!!

They will also work with you on $ if you need extensive dental care. I wouldn’t trust any other place with something as important as my teeth!

Negative experience: I rarely, very rarely leave reviews - and, in recent years when I do, they are positive. However, they did send a text asking for one so I will be offering one. I’m actually quite saddened that I’m writing a negative review here - we’ve been going here for 11 years now and up until recently have had nothing but great experiences. Unfortunately, in the past 2ish years, there has been a noticeable shift here in regard to the simple notion of politeness. I want to iterate - doing the bare minimum and pretending to do the best is fair. I get it. Doing the bare minimum and making it blatant is incredibly different. In particular, banning someone from using your services (I will add the note - I was not the one banned from being here) because they requested not to pay $33 extra for a “special cleaning” over a regular one - let me iterate they did this over $33 - is an incredible overreaction to nothing. We have previously never had any issues over things like this. I’ve also noticed in recent years that they’ve shifted significantly more into “for-profit”ism in general. Now, I recognise that healthcare being for-profit is inherently not their fault, but getting pushing and acting like an insurance company is completely unnecessary. In particular, they used to be incredibly good at communicating with our orthodontist. As my younger sister (who already goes to another dentist because of other reasons) began moving towards her “braces” years, they began heavily pushing the immediately pulling teeth - despite the orthodontist not recommending, nor would Dr. Ward (one of the original doctors here - and Ward, if you see this, I am so sorry for the negative review) have done this - she refused to allow any teeth to be pulled without communication from the orthodontist first. I am incredibly disappointed with our recent experiences here. I wish the best to the people here who still try and care - there are many people here who DO care for their patients. Unfortunately, it only takes a few profit-over-people actors to push people away.

Fantastic experience: I had all of my teeth extracted & a temporary denture made until a permanent one can be made after healing. Staff did a great job with their explanations and adjustments of the temp dentures. I recommend. Permanent dentures were received today and all staff members have continued to support my circumstances as they changed again & again during the healing process. I expect more of the same while I get used to eating with new teeth. I still recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rome, Kendall and Arlo went above and beyond to make sure that we understood what would happen during our daughter’s wisdom teeth removal. We were in and out before we could blink! I was a worried mom that I had made the wrong decision not having her put under anesthesia. But Dr. Rome took my call and put me at ease with my decision. The next day performed the procedure like it was a breeze according to my daughter! Thank you Dr. Roan, Kendall and Arlo for making this an easy experience!

Fantastic experience: My crown fell off and I needed help right away. I made a few calls to nearby dentists. The first one could get me in right away but she was hesitant about the cost. I asked if there was a new patient fee. Of course there was. When I called Grain Valley Family Dental I talked to a caring human who scheduled me in right away. No new patient fee. The front office has a relaxing vibe. Great for the fearful one. I was taken to the last room so I had the opportunity to see the entire place. Clean, organized and busy. Everyone was friendly and happy. Yes, I said happy. Dr. Rome focused on me. He picked up on my fears of being there. He assured me it would be quick and painless. Even the initial injections to numb the area went well. I was in and out before I knew it. The cost was no surprise. I excepted it to be more so another plus. Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting the sweetest little pug. I can hardly believe I look forward to returning to the dentist. Who looks forward to that? This place is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Wow well this place got me in same day with a tooth extraction and I usually have a lot of pain problems with teeth but this guy Rome was so amazing he was gentle and painless compared to what I have been use to !! 451$ for exam and extraction so not bad but worth it I will be back to do more in time but amazing experience I told him I had lidocaine problems and he did it so good thanks for this amazing experience honestly

Fantastic experience: I met with Dr. Pellegrino today since my dentist was not available. I had been biting my cheek ever since I had a crown placed by my dentist. I also had tooth sensitivity. Dr. Pellegrino was very good at explaining everything. When I asked for options of dental care, Dr. P understood not to leave out all possibilities of care. She did not come condescending as others have been. Now, it is a matter of waiting to see if the treatment of two teeth will prevent me from consistently biting my cheek.

Positive experience: Dr. McClellan and the hygienist are fantastic. Always clear on care needed or provided and engage in friendly ways without wasting time. The only issue I keep having is with billing. I, multiple times, have had to follow up because my EOB’s don’t align with my charges to the point I had to have my insurance company call them directly to resolve. Hoping these things are cleared up so we can be on the same page because the care is great.

Fantastic experience: Okay, I honestly hate going to the dentist: it’s a sensory nightmare. But Dr. Rome and his team are above reproach. They went above and beyond in getting a crown put back on, were kind and gentle, and scheduled me quickly. I’ve been in multiple times now and each appointment is as positive as the last.

All of the procedures that I had and will have were explained in terms that I could understand, along with pictures. I didn't feel any pressure about the work that needed to be done or the billing. RETURN VISIT APRIL 18th 2025 - appointment with Dr Pellegrino to perform a root canal. Everything from the check-in, dental scan, the procedure and check-out went very well. Fantastic experience: I had my first bone graft today with Dr. Rome and his staff. I walked into the office terrified bc the dentist is the scariest place for me. Always has been. Dr. Rome and his staff made the entire visit great. They are kind, experienced, compassionate, caring and fun! What stands out for me most about this office is that they want to fix things right the first time. They don’t cut corners or do rushed botched jobs just to get you in and out and keep you coming back and spending more and more money.
