Fantastic experience: I'm a person who never likes to visit the dentist, probably many of us out there and I miss my NYC dentist that I loved. Blue Pearl is fantastic, had a great exam and they use modern tools to map out your teeth and. Found a small cavity hiding between teeth. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first appointment here at Blue Pearl to establish care and was blown away by the staff’s professionalism and attentiveness to care. The tech was quick and efficient with her x-rays. I met with Dr. Hussain and she was very gentle and informative while walking me through of the state of my gums and teeth. Lastly, I forget the name of the hygienist, but she was also very educational and gentle with my cleaning, teaching me how to properly floss my teeth to prevent gingivitis :) they even gave me a blanket because it was so cold in the office. The front desk staff were very kind as well. Overall, I loved my first experience here and already scheduled my 6-month cleaning :)

Fantastic experience: Came here as a referral from a friend for a small chip in my tooth since my regular dentist is in New York. After the consultation, they were able to help me out. The staff was all 10/10. They were transparent with their pricing before doing anything and also gave me two options for repair. Dr. Hussain and Gina were so gentle. In and out in 1 hour and my tooth looks perfect again. Truly a wonderful experience at a dentist! I’ll be going back for regular cleanings and any other dental services I need.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Blue Pearl Dentistry for eight years and I can't recommend them highly enough. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and they are so careful about making the experience as comfortable and easy as possible. I love that they offer nitrous oxide for all appointments. Overall, they are incredibly kind, thorough, helpful and the office is very modern and clean.

I have been seeing him for many years at his previous office, and will stay loyal to him because you cannot find a better dentist than Dr. Huang. He greets all his patience with such great enthusiasm and comfort, but more importantly he is an expert at what he does. He is always very gentle and professional during a procedure. He knows how to make you feel a sense of comfort as he is very informative and will certainly walk you step by step with what he is accomplishing. Positive experience: I’ve been coming to this dental office for quite sometime and have always appreciated the excellent service and care. The staff is professional and the quality of dental work is consistently great. However, I was disappointed to learn Walter is no longer with the office. He always went above and beyond to explain every step of the process and make sure there were no surprises when it came to costs. During my most recent visit I encountered an unexpected charge that hadn’t been clearly explained beforehand something Walter always made sure to do. While the overall service remains solid I really miss the level of transparency and personal attention Walter provided. I hope the office continues his standard of clear communication moving forward as this is an unexpected expense I wasn’t prepared to pay given my budget as a retiree in this tough economy we are in.

Fantastic experience: To sum things up: Natalee was great. The whole time was great. It’s the kind of place everyone is friendly and asking how you doing. To elaborate: I hate dentist. I’m scared of them. Needles are my worst enemy. And to combine that with dental work is too much for me to handle. I looked for a dentist to do a deep cleaning, and I found them close to home with good reviews so I went to check it. It didn’t start great since I was already didn’t want to be there and the girl in the front desk said I need to pay $15 for Covid tax or something like that and I told her just lie to me and tell me it’s a co pay or something. I was half way to the door when I heard that but to be fair I was looking for excuses to get angry since I was too afraid. I stayed and felt like I’m already here so let’s get it over with. I met the doctor, and he straight up asked me what’s going on why are you here? I told him I need deep cleaning and I’m scared to come here but my wife forced me to come. and he was so direct and so straight forward about what I needed and don’t need I absolutely love it. Straight to the point. No BS. He told me not to worry and he referred me to Natalee, which is the crown jewel of this place. She took such good care and I can’t explain what or how she do it but I felt like I’m in good hands! After that experience the whole clinic changed in my mind and they all are so friendly I felt like I knew them for years when I just met them twice. I recommend this place specially if you afraid of dentist or needles. Natalee is the girl for you. ( to the girl in the front desk if you read this I’m sorry I was mean to you when I first came I was nervous and that COVID tax is still BS but you were great too)

Negative experience: Since they wanted me to leave a review so bad. They have QR codes on the tables when you walk in, the receptionist asked me to and they gave me a tote bag with a flyer with a QR code here we go. When I arrived I got a friendly welcome, I thought great start. Then I started hearing conversations (3 total) being very pushing about patients getting crowns. Me having horrible experiences with crowns, already made the decision this was not the route I was going to go. I came in for a filling falling out. My plan was just to get the filling filled. The assist took me back, does my X-rays and says it doesn't look too bad. She says she's going to talk you into a crown. I said it's not going to happen. I've had horrible experiences with crowns. Dr Hussain comes in, she's nice. And she goes, I think we should do a crown. I explain I don't want a crown. She's really pushing me. She tells me this filling isn't going to last long and she can't promise it won't break again. Mind you my old filling lasted me 20 years. I said just do the filling. It was $886. The crown was going to be a little over $3600, no wonder why she was pushing it. I had a 10 day work/vacation trip a few days later. The first few days I had sensitivity to hot and cold. I thought give it some time. She did do some drilling as well. About 5-6 days later my husband and I went to lunch and then a hike. I didn't have any floss and something got in between that tooth and was really hurting. I thought man something feels off. This continues to happen anytime I eat and don't floss right away. I finally call and make an appointment for when I get back. That appointment was for today. I go in. And to my surprise. I'll let you guess.... What's the solution to the problem? Yes a CROWN! Why you ask. Because in 2 weeks my gums receded, never heard of gums receding in 2 weeks. I walked out. Very disappointed. I thought, maybe I actually found a good place close by my house with an actual good hearted dentist. Sad!

So communicative throughout the entire visit - the dentist walked me through my x rays and teeth scans and told me everything she was seeing. I learned more about my teeth on one visit than any visit to my previous dentist of 20+ years! They do such wonderful work there as well. Can't recommend them enough!

The admin team and dental assistants are A+ - always so friendly and attentive. The hygienists Natalee and Diana are lovely and great at their job. I got a special filling done by Dr. Hussain a few months ago and she was gentle and kind. Overall I’ve been extremely happy with my experience. Fantastic experience: Let’s start by saying I’ve literally paid a $100 cancellation fee at another dentist for a cleaning I refused to go to. The dentist is one of the few places that’s gets my anxiety going and I can’t seem to shake it. Of course, I’m also the person that needs extensive dental work what feels like constantly. Life is funny that way. I’ve needed to get a tooth implant for a couple years, but kept putting it off. I finally decided it was time to buck up and do it. Dr Huang and his staff were absolutely incredible. I’m talking top notch communication, attention to detail, and I walked out with a dental implant and ZERO pain. This is the only time in life I got screwed and it was a good thing. So take it from me, if you’re looking for a dentist who has it all, Dr Huang is your guy!

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in an embarrassing amount of time but, the team at Blue Pearl were so kind, informative and overall hilarious. They all made me feel so welcome and comfortable from start to finish. The technology they used was so much more advanced than I expected. It was really cool to see a full digital scan of my teeth but also super helpful when they were explaining what areas we needed to work on and why. As a visual learner, that was incredibly helpful. It was big things like that but also smaller gestures of kindness like providing me with a larger blanket when I expressed feeling cold. They are patient and kind, explaining everything as they work (from billing to x-rays). I've been looking for a dentist since the beginning of the year and it's nice to know I finally found mine. :)

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give Dr Huang and his team 10 stars here! I've been their patient since 2017, after I'd had a horrible experience with my then-dentist that led to several months of tooth pain until my coworker referred me to Blue Pearl Dentistry. Dr Huang redid the work on my tooth, relieving me from months-long pain, resolved a nasty case of tooth sensitivity on the other tooth, and gained my trust for the rest of the days :) Over the years, I've done Invisalign, redid a couple of really old crowns, and got a few fillings - and every time it was an incredibly good experience. Can't recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: I love Blue Pearl! I struggled for several years to find a good dentist. But at Blue Pearl, everyone is professional, competent, and friendly, from the front desk to the hygienists to the dentists. After my first visit, I felt like my teeth were truly clean for the first time in years. They do an excellent, thorough exam, but don't try to sell unecessary procedures. I even got my dentist-phobic partner to start visiting too. Only downside is it might take a while to get an appointment because everyone wants to come see them!

Fantastic experience: Big shout-out to Dr. Hussain and assistant Castru. They were like Kobe and Shaq around my teeth. Everyone was super helpful in getting me onboarded. As well as incredibly communicative with what I needed done in my mouth. I'm a grown ass man but I still get uncomfortable in the dentist chair and I was made to feel at ease and peace. Will be returning in 6 months. Their music is eh but i'm already over it.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved out of state and I am so sad to be leaving Blue Pearl Dentistry after so many wonderful years there. During my first few years in LA, it took a few attempts to find a practice that put patients first and didn't rely on upsells, unnecessary procedures, and flashy office gimmicks. Blue Pearl always reminded me of my uncle's dental practice from back east: just full of wonderful, caring people. So thank you so much for all of the wonderful years of clean teeth and great company. Everyone in the office is an absolute delight to be around and I always felt like I was in the best of hands: from Walter greeting me with a smile at the front desk to Diana and Natalee always being so thorough and wonderful to catch up with (even with a tool in my mouth haha) with to Dr. Huang putting me at ease with his expertise and care. I also wanted to send an extra thank you for being so “covid safe” during those crazy years and for continuing to care about sterilization and clean air in the office in the years beyond. It always made me feel safe being there and I was happy to pay the sterilization fee, as I knew it was keeping me, the staff and the other patients safe. I always appreciated the transparency and the effort to make the office extra clean and keep the air as clean as possible : ) I will miss you all!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Huang and his team are great!!!! Friendly front desk - hello to Walter - clean, bright, light, cheerful waiting room and exam rooms. Always good music playing. Always love going in for a cleaning! Also, more recently, I chipped/cracked a tooth biting into a power bar!! Must have been a nut shell fragment or something in there!! Anyway, I called the office as soon as it happened and thankfully they had an opening and were able to see me basically right away!! I hate needles and they were so good and patient and kind with me before and during the numbing part. In and out in less than 2 hours with a brand new piece bonded onto my tooth. Looks and feels good as new! Thank you, Dr. Huang!!! You’re the best!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a fear of going to the dentist for years and years and could never find the right dentist which prevented me from going. Then one day during my google search I found Blue Pearl Dentistry and Dr. Huang. Their team has changed my entire view of routine check-in experience. I needed nitric the first time I went (which was a great experience) but my next visit I was encouraged by Walter to put my trust in one of the hygienist, Natalee. Well Natalee made me feel extremely comfortable and welcomed and put all my fears to rest. Blue Pearl Dentistry is a first class office from top to bottom and I couldn’t recommend a better Dentist and I don’t recommend any kind of doctors but Dr. Huang and his team (Natalee and Walter and so many more) are excellent and no matter your comfort level, they meet you where you are at!

Everyone was so kind - from the person who checked me in and asked what my dental goals are, to the doctor and the hygienist (Cynthia, I believe?). No one made me feel ashamed. And everyone took my anxiety seriously. The office itself is a very welcoming space. Also it’s pretty high tech from what I could tell — I got to see the X-rays instantly and they also did a 3D scan of my teeth that was cool and fascinating!

Fantastic experience: As an update to my last post, I just had my recent check-up. Since I was last at the office, they’ve expanded their office while also including new technology to provide deeper details/insights around my dental health. The staff, as always, was as kind and welcoming as ever. I can’t recommend Blue Pearl enough! I recently made the switch to Blue Pearl Dentistry. I've always had decent to solid dentist experiences in my life (likely due to the fact that I never had any major work done outside of cleanings), but my experience with Dr. Huang and Diana was like no other. My cleaning with Diana was extremely thorough, and she was very kind throughout the entire time. She even showed me the best way to floss - it looks like I've been doing it wrong the entire time! Dr. Huang not only has great bedside manner, but also explains everything in great detail. He went through all of my x-rays with me and took me through what each shade represented, and also took me through the minor concerns that he saw. Overall, the office is not only in a great location, but the look and feel makes you feel extremely comfortable. The soft music and the beautiful blue colors give a nice modern feel to an experience that usually shouldn't be a fun one! I'm looking forward to my next visit; Bobby and Diana, thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Had a crack tooth pulled today and everyone was wonderful. The entire staff from the moment you enter makes you feel welcomed. Walter is at the front and makes you feel good right when you enter. The extraction was painless and everyone explained the entire process. Love this office.

Fantastic experience: Immediately walking into the office it feels welcoming; smelled great, very clean. The front office staff was lovely. Dr. Lin was knowledgeable and to the point. No one tried to sell me teeth whitening or straightening etc. like other offices I’ve been to. The first time I met my previous dentist he takes one look at my teeth and goes “so…are you happy with your smile?” !!! Sir, I’m here for healthy teeth, not veneers. I even got a little goodie bag which I haven’t had since I was a kid. You could tell everyone liked working there (or if they didn’t they were very good at hiding it). I will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: Embarrassingly I hadn’t been to a dentist for about 10 years. The staff made me feel very comfortable and walked me through all the steps. They were all so kind from the front office to the dental assistants. I loved the hygienist Nathalie who was attentive when I needed a break or was uncomfortable. Dr. Huang is efficient and knowledgeable, he explained my current dental care very well. I am looking forward to no longer skipping the dentist for that long!

Negative experience: Blue Pearl charges fees that are not allowed by insurance (sanitization fee of $15). Came home with a two light-brown, long hairs on the back of my pants and shirt after the exam (removed with a lint roller). Makes me wonder how clean the facility is, and whether they even wipe down the exam chairs after each patient? I'll be taking a shower now. Other points: The doctor took down her medical mask to talk to me, even though I could hear her just fine. They also wanted to take x-rays of a mass on my lower gum and their x-ray only goes to the end of the tooth (not where the gum tissue mass was located). They referred me to an out of network oral surgeon in Beverly Hills who called me as I was driving home to tell me the dentist wanted me to be seen immediately, even though the dentist at Blue Pearl told me to wait a couple weeks to see if my gum issue would resolve. The oral surgeon also told me that my insurance would not cover most of their charges, and wanted me to book for 8 am tomorrow without providing an estimate. Overall, I felt very pressured.

Fantastic experience: I always love coming to Blue Pearl. I moved further away but I make the trek because they are so personable and take time to get to know you and your concerns about your dental health. I have sensitive teeth and they take their time and are great with cleaning.

Their office is clean and well maintained. Natalee the dental hygienist did a thorough exam and cleaning (even checked for enlarged lymph nodes) and Dr. O did a great job explaining my x-rays and treatment plan. Fantastic experience: Again a 10/10 visit. This time I was in for shaving down a top molar that had dropped down and getting a crown. Complicated because it dropped down a lot and shaving it down meant getting close to the nerve but Dr huang was interested in saving the “live” tooth (no root canal if possible) first and foremost before I get the implant of the matching one on the bottom. He explained the risks, and went over all the different scenarios that might play out and how to best deal with them. A little sensitivity might go away, a lot of pain call me and I’ll get you immediately referred for root canal, etc. The procedure, starting with the most expert execution of the novacaine including the normally god-awful shot in the roof of my mouth was near painless (although his recognition of the tiny pain “I know this one hurts, sorry, sorry, nearly done” is so kind) was as easy as can be expected. They provided me with a little guard in the left side of my mouth so I could rest my jaw and then were as gentle and efficient as possible. He has such a gentle manner, and also is very confident and efficient in his work, and also the staff is equally as good. They are like a well oiled machine over there! Also, it’s been 2 days now and no pain! So his plan worked and I still have a live tooth there. I used to be very anxious at the dentist, but now, I feel pretty relaxed. Great job.
